A 50-year-old woman presented with stage IIB cervical cancer that had invaded her cervix, anterior vaginal wall, and parametrium. She also had an ectopic left pelvic kidney that was functioning marginally. She received radiation therapy with concurrent cisplatin chemotherapy, which successfully treated the cancer. Two years later, she remained cancer-free and her kidney function was normal.

Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that develops in a woman's cervix (the entrance to the womb from the vagina).
Cancer of the cervix often has no symptoms in its early stages. If you do have symptoms, the most common is unusual vaginal bleeding, which can occur after sex, in between periods or after the menopause.
Endometrial Cancer; Evidence Based Approach
Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecologic cancer. It has a lifetime risk of 2.4% in white women. Risk factors include obesity, late menopause, diabetes, and unopposed estrogen exposure. Diagnosis is usually made with endometrial biopsy. Treatment involves hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and lymph node dissection. Adjuvant radiation and/or chemotherapy may be used in high risk cases. With early stage diagnosis, endometrial cancer has a good prognosis.
Screening for cervical cancer
Cervical cancer is a major health problem worldwide, especially in developing countries like Egypt where it is the second most common cancer in women. Screening is important for early detection and treatment of pre-cancerous lesions to prevent the development of invasive cancer. Background: Appendicectomy is one of the common procedures performed by a general surgeon. However,
the advent of laparoscopic appendicectomy has reduced the number of open appendicectomies performed. Therefore
there is a need to study the advantages of the laparoscopic approach over the traditional open approach. Aims: The
study aimed to compare laparoscopic appendicectomy with open appendicectomy based on various intraoperative and
postoperative parameters Materials and methods: 50 patients undergoing interval appendicectomy were randomised
into two groups. Group A comprised 25 patients who underwent laparoscopic appendicectomy and group B comprised
25 patients who underwent open appendicectomy. Results: Confirmation of diagnosis and evaluation of intraoperative
findings was easier in group A patients. In addition, early commencement of feeds with early bowel movements, reduced
need for postoperative analgesia due to less pain, lesser complications and shorter duration of hospital stay was observed
in group A patients. Conclusion: Laparoscopic appendicectomy has better outcomes rendering it a preferable procedure
for appendicectomy.

Presenting features-Pain and distension abdomen, vomiting, generalized edema for 10 days. Diagnostic laparoscopy and biopsy findings of which were-diffuse ascitis with frozen subheptic region with GB not visualized, was biopsy negative for malignancy (exact site not mentioned). O/E- pt ASA GR3 pedal edema+, ascetic +, abdomen soft no s/o icterus/Lymphadenopathy/peritonitis /Mets Investigations-Hb-9.8gm/dl-, TLC-12700, DLC-N-74%, L-22%, E-2%, M-2%, urea-17 creatinine-0.6, HIV, HBS Ag, anti HCV -ve, serum bilirubin- 0.3, SGOT-98, SGPT-78, ALP-327, alb -2.3 CXR-B/L pleural effusion, tapping done. USG-CBD normal, mass in GB lumen not involving liver, liver normal, moderate ascitis. Ascetic cytologyve CTSCAN - Mass in GB lumen localized to GB wall filling the lumen with no Mets /LNs, ascetic+ ca 19-9 -3u/ml. Management -She was treated for gastritis, hyponatremia, hypoprotinemia with PPIs, high protein diet, albumin infusion &TPN for 7 days. After nutritional build up reevaluation showed serum albumin- 3.1gm/ dl, CECT findings same with resolution of ascitis. The ascitis was a result of hypoprotinemia as ascetic cytology was negative which disappeared after protein replacement. So decision was taken to proceed with diag. lap &radical cholecystectomy. Cancer of the cervix often has no symptoms in its early stages. If you do have symptoms, the most common is unusual vaginal bleeding, which can occur after sex, in between periods or after the menopause.
Endometrial Cancer; Evidence Based Approach
Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecologic cancer. It has a lifetime risk of 2.4% in white women. Risk factors include obesity, late menopause, diabetes, and unopposed estrogen exposure. Diagnosis is usually made with endometrial biopsy. Treatment involves hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and lymph node dissection. Adjuvant radiation and/or chemotherapy may be used in high risk cases. With early stage diagnosis, endometrial cancer has a good prognosis.
Screening for cervical cancer
Cervical cancer is a major health problem worldwide, especially in developing countries like Egypt where it is the second most common cancer in women. Screening is important for early detection and treatment of pre-cancerous lesions to prevent the development of invasive cancer. findings was easier in group A patients. In addition, early commencement of feeds with early bowel movements, reduced
need for postoperative analgesia due to less pain, lesser complications and shorter duration of hospital stay was observed
in group A patients. Conclusion: Laparoscopic appendicectomy has better outcomes rendering it a preferable procedure
for appendicectomy.

USG-CBD normal, mass in GB lumen not involving liver, liver normal, moderate ascitis. Ascetic cytologyve CTSCAN - Mass in GB lumen localized to GB wall filling the lumen with no Mets /LNs, ascetic+ ca 19-9 -3u/ml. Management -She was treated for gastritis, hyponatremia, hypoprotinemia with PPIs, high protein diet, albumin infusion &TPN for 7 days. After nutritional build up reevaluation showed serum albumin- 3.1gm/ dl, CECT findings same with resolution of ascitis. The ascitis was a result of hypoprotinemia as ascetic cytology was negative which disappeared after protein replacement. So decision was taken to proceed with diag. lap &radical cholecystectomy. - Follow up CT found no evidence of recurrence but a stationary small renal mass. Options for the renal mass include radical nephrectomy or modifying the incision for access. Restoring bowel continuity may be considered with possible loop ileostomy protection.

Vaginal SCC in Pelvic Organ Prolapse.pptx
This case report describes a 70-year-old woman presenting with a third-degree uterine prolapse and non-healing vaginal ulcer. Biopsies revealed squamous cell carcinoma of the vagina. She received 25 cycles of external beam radiation therapy and 5 cycles of intracavitary radiation therapy. This led to a reduction of the prolapse and shrinkage of the cancer. The patient's symptoms improved. Radiation therapy is concluded to be a suitable treatment for vaginal cancer in patients with uterine prolapse who are not candidates for surgery.

The sac may contain preperitoneal fat, omentum, small bowel, or other structures and have a high rate of incarceration and strangulation due to the small size of the hernia neck orifice, requiring emergency surgery. We present the case of a 54-year-old female patient with intestinal occlusion due to incarcerated femoral hernia, repaired by laparoscopic approach, that gave the patient the opportunity to attend her daughter’s wedding the same day.
Prolonged Pleural Effusion following Liver Biopsy in a 10-Year-Old Girl
Pleural effusions in patients with liver disease are common. Bilious pleural effusion can occur following percutaneous biopsy if the pleura is traversed. We reported the case of a 10-year-old girl who had a liver biopsy. After this procedure, the girl had a pleural effusion during the 20-day period we were treated with the chest tube. After this period, the chest tube was removed and the patient continued conservative gastroenterological treatment for liver cirrhosis.
Post Trasnplant Lymphocele
This case presentation describes a 57-year-old female who underwent a live donor kidney transplant. Post-operatively, she developed delayed graft function and a urinary tract infection. She later had prolonged abdominal drainage and multiple recurrent infections requiring several hospital admissions. Surgical exploration and marsupialization were ultimately required to treat a large lymphocele that formed post-transplant.

Chest: Cardiovascular, Sl and S2 regular without gallop or murmur. Lungs: Clear both fields. Breasts: No masses or tenderness. Abdomen: Gravid. Pelvic: Cervix was 50% effaced, 1 to 2 cm dilated, presenting part was vertex at -2 station, there was gross fluid, clear and Nitrazine was positive. The patient was therefore taken to the operating room for a repeat low-transverse cesarean section.
OPERATIONAL TECHNIQUE: The patient was brought to the operating room and under spinal anesthesia, was prepped and draped in the usual manner for a gynecologic abdominal operation. Through the old suprapubic Pfannenstiel skin incision, the abdominal cavity was entered into after much difficulty because of the pelvic abdominal adhesion. Following entry into the abdominal cavity, the bladder peritoneum was identified, reflected down. Following that, a midline low-transverse incision was made at the lower uterine segment with a knife and carried down into the uterine cavity without any difficulty. The incision was then extended to the level of the round ligament on both sides. Following which a male infant in vertex position was delivered with vacuum and handed over to the nursery staff in attendance. Birth weight was 6 pounds 5 ounces. Apgar was 9 and 9. A pseudoaneurysm is a blood-filled cavity communicating with the arterial lumen owing to deficiency in one or more layers of the arterial wall. Development of pseudoaneurysms is a complication of vascular injury resulting from inflammation, trauma, or iatrogenic causes such as surgical procedures, percutaneous biopsy, or drainage. Pseudoaneurysm of the uterine artery is a rare but serious complication of gynecologic surgery that may be unnoticed in the early post-operative period. Without precise ultrasonographic and radiologic diagnosis before the manifestation of symptoms associated with hemorrhage, these pseudoaneurysms are prone to unpredictable rupture, resulting in exsanguination with high morbidity and mortality rates.

Liver Abcess post slevee gastrectomy
A 32-year-old woman developed a liver abscess 44 days after undergoing a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) for treatment of morbid obesity and diabetes. She initially recovered well from the LSG but later developed abdominal pain, vomiting, and fever. A CT scan revealed a 12x5 cm abscess in her liver. Drainage of the abscess yielded 400ml of pus. Antibiotic treatment and drainage of the abscess over subsequent days led to improvement of her symptoms and laboratory abnormalities. The abscess was considered a rare but possible complication of LSG due to the surgery being classified as clean-contaminated and the patient's comorbidities compromising her immune system.

Upper tract urothelial carcinoma arising in a horseshoe kidney presents unique treatment challenges. The patient underwent right heminephrectomy for a T1 low-grade tumor, with subsequent recurrences in the bladder and ureter. Close follow-up is important given the high risk of recurrence in UTUC, particularly in the bladder due to field cancerization effects. While adjuvant therapies have unclear benefits, intravesical BCG may help prevent recurrence in selected cases. Our hospital's emergency CT showed an enlarged uterus with cystic shadows, right adnexal cysts, and stomach fluid. Physical examination revealed left lower abdomen discomfort. A gynaecological examination revealed a painful, firm pelvic mass of 151210 cm. Further diagnosis is underway. Method: The patient underwent emergency exploratory laparotomy, discovering a twisted, swollen left ovary with a 540° rotation, classified as a benign cyst. It was found that the patient had congenital upper vaginal atresia and bilateral initial uteri. Pain was reduced after surgery, thanks to symptomatic treatment. An abnormal karyotype of 46, XX,1qh+ was found during genetic testing. Result: Fallopian tubes, uterus, and vagina develop from the embryonic accessory mesonephric duct. MRKH syndrome is caused by bilateral accessory mesonephric duct dysplasia and disappearance of the uterus or vagina. MRKH has three types, with Type 1 lacking uterus or vagina. Due to ovarian cyst torsion, this Type 1 MRKH with double initial uterus and upper vaginal atresia needed left adnexa resection. Genetic testing showed a typical female karyotype. MRKH's complex aetiology incorporates chromosomal abnormalities, emphasizing early cytogenetic evaluation for personalized treatment and fertility assistance. Conclusion: Early cytogenetic testing for MRKH syndrome patients is crucial for determining the underlying cause and guiding personalized treatment plans to restore reproductive function and improve quality of life.

AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).
