A good B School faculty has to find the applicability of emerging business practices i.e. the more of applied knowledge than the theoretical base. Class discussion and participation should focus on big picture. In emerging economies and markets disruption is common where there is No Right and No Wrong. More than one possibility exists to an opportunity. Restricted thinking is fad, visualizing big is the most desirable employable skill that needs to be inculcated. Understand and appreciate people use and apply concepts differently, same thing may have different views and perception. A good B school faculty listens carefully to the thoughts and ideas in class discussion and tries to draw some meaningful inferences non-judgmental.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

3. Goals are things that you want to achieve in the future. They are things that will help you to be prepared and
ready for change at school or in your life. It is important that you think about goals early because then you can
work out how to achieve them. Thinking about goals means that you will be prepared to study the subjects you
like, do the types of occupations you prefer, and keep your future options open. If you meet a goal throughout
the year, set another new one for yourself – maybe a more challenging one.
Think about goals that relate to education/training and employment. For example, an
education/training goal might be to start a school-based apprenticeship, and an
employment goal might be to do work experience in an area you are interested in.
Think about why the goals you have made are important. For example, starting an
apprenticeship means you can still get a secondary school qualification while training for
employment, and doing work experience in an area you are interested in may lead to
being offered a job that you would love to do.
Think about how long it will take you to achieve your goals. Some goals are short-term
which means you can achieve them in a few weeks. Some goals are long-term which
means it might take a year or more before you can achieve them.

You may need some help from allies to achieve your goals. Allies are people who can help you in different
ways, like family members, community members, teachers, friends and other people you trust.
Who can help me How they can help me
You may also want to seek help from people at organisations and agencies when you need it. These people
include Koorie Education Support Officers, youth workers, mentors and tutors.

My Review
Throughout the year it is important for you to spend some time thinking about the
goals and plans you set for yourself, and what it was like planning for different options
relating to your career goals and plans. Reflecting on what you wrote in your Career
Action Plan throughout the year, you might need to include some new things in your
next Career Action to help you to achieve your long-term goals.
