Ancient History
The burger has quite a long legacy. The burger can be traced back thousands of years to ancient

It really comes down to whether or not you think a true burger is one that is served on a bun, or
with two pieces of bread.
Charlie Nagreen: In 1885, Charlie sold hamburgers from an ox drawn food stand at the Outagamie
County Fair in Seymour, Wisconsin. He initially sold meatballs, but wasn t very successful. He
quickly realizes that meatballs were too inconvenient, so he decided to flatten them and place
them in between two pieces of bread, so that they would be easier for the fair patrons to eat. Many
came to know him as Hamburger Charlie. He would return to sell them at the fair every year, until
his death in 1950.
Oscar Weber Bilby Family: To date, this is the first known hamburger that was served on a bun.
While the family admits that hamburgers were already served on bread, prior to grandpa Oscar
adding the bun, they still maintain that grandpa Oscar was the true originator of the hamburger.
Grandpa Oscar began serving grilled meat on buns in 1891. He would give them out every fourth
of July, and sometimes as many as 125 people would show up to taste his infamous burgers.

Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northup is a story about a slave whom was once free but was
abducted and was sold into slavery. This story is an explanation of the suffering of slaves in the
antebellum period and a demonstration of the inhumane treatment. Before I came here I was
free, a free man. The setting of the story was in New York, Washington, and Georgia during the
antebellum period. Twelve Years a Slave recounts the genuine story of Solomon Northup,

Providing Professional And Vocational Education
The second barrier standing in the way of the process of obtaining professional and vocational
education was this: It is physically very difficult to get to school as indicated by our respondents. At
present, in the Russian Federation, only 10 percent of universities provide not only architectural
but, first and foremost, educational and methodological accessibilityof higher education for disabled
students, demonstrating a proper level of professional and pedagogical competence of the teaching
staff.
Not surprisingly, these higher educational institutions become centers of attraction for disabled
young people and accumulate the largest number of disabled students. In addition, in Russia, only
21 universities, according to monitoring, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As was mentioned earlier, this was the third most popular answer as 31% of respondents answered
like this. Romanov P.V. and Yarskaya Smirnova, E.R. (2010) emphasize that barriers are not in
themselves specific features of someone s appearance, communication or movement patterns, but
are results of the lack of public participation, which exacerbate social inequality between people.
The authors of the article argue that one of the ways to overcome the first and second barriers
could be the involvement of team project work of school and university students. In line with this
suggestion, N.A. Lukianova directed a project in autumn 2016, at TPU whereby a team of students
studying Industrial Design completed a portfolio consisting of the results of monitoring and
assessment of the level of accessibility of the architectural environment on campus for students with
disabilities. The portfolio included an interactive map of the campus. The main objectives of this
team student project were formulated as follows. Students had to analyze official documents that
define norms and rules for assessing accessibility and regulate legal relations in the area of
research. Moreover, they had to develop methodological recommendations for assessing the state of

What Is The Most Common Ownership Structure
Ownership Structure Besides deciding whether to purchase a new or established property, buyers
also need to decide on the ownership structure of their property. As we are all unique individuals,
there are different ownership structures that can be beneficial for different people. The structure
you choose will be dependent on your own individual circumstances. The most common ownership
structures include the following: Individual Ownership, as the name implies, means that the
property is owned by a single person. With this ownership structure, proper estate planning is
essential and a will needs to be drawn up with clear instructions on asset distribution to avoid
intestacy rules, which can have a devastating effect for surviving family members and loved ones.
From an investment point of view, the owner will reap all the tax benefits; this is especially useful
for high income earners to lower their taxes through negative gearing when purchasing an
investment property. However, you must consider that the single owner will also be subjected to
higher capital gains tax if the investment property is sold while earning that high income. Joint
Tenants simply means that you re married or in a de facto relationship with the person with whom
you are buying the property. When you purchase in this structure, if one of the married couple
passes away, the other half of the property would automatically be transferred to the surviving
partner. This is the most common ownership structure

Tone Of Hester Prynne
Nathaniel Hawthorne is the author of the classic novel the Scarlet Letter based on the Puritan Era
in Massachusetts. D.H Lawrence a British writer critiques the novel and gives his opinions on the
piece in a persuasive argumentative manner. He believes that the heroine of the novel is not the
beloved, marvelous character we all believe she is.He uses confident literary techniques like
powerful tone, abrupt syntax and classic biblical allusions to convince people that the beloved
character Hester Prynneis truly a conniving adulteress who thrives off of stealing one s purity.
The demanding and persuasive tone Lawrence uses throughout his work makes the reader pay
attention to his opinion. He writes that the Scarlet Letter is perhaps the ... Show more content on

Consequently, he uses short and to the point sentences to get his opinion across like A.The Scarlet
Letter. Adulteress! The great Alpha. Alpha! Alpha! Adulteress! (D.H Lawrence). Lawrence wants
his audience to see that Hester is the embodiment of the Scarlet Letter itself and that the Scarlet
Letter is also Hester. The syntax used is persuading because there is no way to not know what is
happening. He does his best to make his sentences spew at the reader in an organized pattern that
allows his thoughts to be conveyed exactly the way he wants.
The classic biblical allusions Lawrence interwoven in his essay appeal to people s knowledge
and makes a lasting connection that the audience automatically already relate to. Lawrence uses
the story of Mary Magdalen and calls Hester Prynne another Magdalene essentially using biblical
terms to allude that the heroine of the novel is a prostitute (D.H.Lawrence). People specially in
the time in which Lawrence wrote his paper people knew their bible well so by referencing to
Mary Magdalene he shows people Hester Prynne s true colors. This powerful allusion persuades
people because of the connotation behind the reference he makes. Moreover, he takes the story of
Cain and Abel and applies it to the Scarlet Letter. Hester Prynne throughout the story changes the
meaning of the Scarlet Letter to mean able but, Lawrence takes it a step farther and changes it to
Abel. The name is used in place of the word

Arlington s Journey
I believe that giving is greater than receiving. Being able to live in Johnson County is a blessing.
We have polite neighbors, clean streets, and fresh water. This past spring break I was fortunate
enough to travel to Arlington, Texas, with my youth group from my church. As a group, this
would be our second time traveling to Arlington for a mission purpose. As an individual,
Arlington changed me. When my youth group is traveling a long distance, we rent a couple of
twelve passenger vans. Driving to Arlington takes about ten hours, including bathroom stops and
lunch breaks. Every time my youth leader tells the group to go to the bathroom, no one listens.
That is because we are teenagers and do not have the best listening skills. One teen needed to take
a whiz and could not hold it for much longer. His solution was to relieve himself into a water
bottle. This would be an interesting trip for every single one of us. Arriving in... Show more content

Collective Rights

Define Collective Rights
* Collective rights are rights Canadians hold because they belong to one of several groups in
society. They are rights held by groups (peoples) in Canadian society that are recognized and
protected by Canada s constitution. Those groups include Aboriginals, Francophones and
Anglophones.
* Collective rights are different than individual rights. Every Canadian citizen and permanent
resident has individual rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, such as the right to live
anywhere in Canada.
* Collective rights set Canada apart from other nations. For example, no groups (peoples) in the ...

Policies can be called a set of rules that guide any government or any organization. Laws are
administered through the courts. Laws are enforceable in which the policies comply.
A law is more formal as it is a system of rules and guidelines that are derived for the welfare and
equity in society. A policy is just informal as it is just a statement or a document of what is
intended to be done in the future.
Why do some groups have collective rights and not others? * Collective rights recognize the
founding peoples of Canada. Canada would not exist today without the contribution of these
peoples.
* Collective rights come from the roots of Aboriginal peoples, Francophones and Anglophones in
the land and history of Canada.
* Certain groups have collective rights due to historical and constitutional reasons.
Why are collective rights important to all Canadians?
* Collective rights are important to all Canadians because each group in Canadian society is
different in its own unique way; having collective rights is a lot like having an outfit completely
custom made to fit your type of person and style; collective rights are manufactured to uphold each
groups individual culture, style, and to meet every groups needs according to the groups unique
structure.
How do collective rights, in the past and today, define who we are as Canadians? * In the past,
women and First Nations Peoples had been deprived of rights and privileges

Racial Disparity In The Criminal Justice System
Instead of not only studying the analysis, evaluating the reasoning, and arguing the grave
statistics of racial disparities of age/ population and race/ethnicity, and incarceration within the
walls of America s criminal justice system, we ought to argue the facts as well as consider the
evidence and approach through ethical and logical appeals in order to understand the beliefs,
values, and perspectives of the problematic issues of the uneven justices and racially bias policies
in relation to the escalating rates of people of color being incarcerated. Racial disparity directly
impacts the incarcerated and also negatively impacts and devastatingly affects society outside the
walls of the criminal justice system. The families of the incarcerated are affected by emotional loss
and possibly financial loss. The communities are subjected to the resulting effects of the costs of a
flourishing incarceration system, and the safety of the welfare of the general public benefits unfairly.
First, I will briefly explain the demographical understanding of the differential age structure of a
population and how criminology also it plays a role in contributing to race and incarceration
disparities across the United States. The relationship between age and criminal involvement is one
of the most well established facts in criminology (Vogel). Criminology is in fact, the scientific study

Patricia Donovan Deliver Her Summary
A Review of Deliver Her by Patricia Perry Donovan
In her introductory novel, Deliver Her, Patricia Perry Donovan turns the page in her writing career,
moving from journals and a concentration on non fiction to something more creative and in novel
form. As the back cover of the book highlights, this composition is about A daughter s grief. A
mother s desperation. An endless highway of deception. This book is easy to follow and not only
entertains but also leaves the reader with food for thought at the very end.
The author s audience is also clear from the back cover description and is sure to include mothers
and adolescent daughters alike. Some additional readers this novel would likely appeal to include
those struggling with grief over losing a loved one and people encountering or enabling addiction.
It is likely the audience will find the primary characters very easy to empathize with. They include
the mother, Meg, daughter, Alex, and Carl, a man the mother hires to Deliver Her daughter to
Birches, a remote, alternative type school intended on resetting the path of troubled youth. Alex s
troubles began on the night of her 16th birthday party when her friend Cass dies in a car accident

Negative Effects Of War
War has many negative affects on people. Someone always suffers a consequence of war and it
doesn t end well. Not only are soldiers affected by war, but also the civilians they try to protect.
In the poems; Memorial Tablet written by Siegfried Sassoon and In Flanders Fields written by
John McCrae, we can see the first negative impact war has. Soldiers are robbed by death of the
ability to live a normal life.
In the book Catching Falling Stars by Karen McCombie, and the T.V series M.A.S.H produced by

In Flanders Fields the soldiers spend their lives fighting for something they believe in but they
never get to see the results of what they ve fought so hard to accomplish. In Memorial Tablet, the
soldier knew that there was more to his life than dying in a war and he s mad because he never
gets to experience the greater side of life which was taken away. Though there are two
perspectives that the soldiers had, they both ended up dying before getting to enjoy life. This
proves that the negative affects of war on soldiers are that they don t get to live a normal life
because it s taken away from them by death.
Another way that war has negative effects is on the safety of civilians. During war, airmen tend
to drop bombs on civilians without thinking of the damage they can cause. In Catching Faling
stars , two children suffer the affects of air raids. They were living in London during a time of
war, so they knew to expect danger. A siren rang warning them of an air raid so they hid in their
basement with their neighbour but it wasn t enough to protect them. When the bomb landed and
exploded, they were all separated from each other. One of the children suffered from a temporary

The Collapse Of The Housing Bubble Collapse
Introduction The following essay will thoroughly examine the severe economic downturn of
2008, formerly known as the housing bubble collapse. We will mainly focus our discussion on
the effects the financial crisis had on Canada and the U.S and examine why both countries were
affected differently. Although the collapse of the housing bubble is the most identifiable cause,
it is extremely difficult to pinpoint one specific defining moment or event triggering the global
financial collapse. There are many factors involved, due to the complex nature of the financial
systems across the world, and this paper will delve in the key contributing variables that led to
this financial crises. To begin, a brief history recap of the financial crises in 2008 will be given.
Following that will be a breakdown of how the financial systems were set up in Canada and the
U.S. We will then, in detail, discuss the Canadian and the U.S financial markets, in particular,
the housing market and how each country was affected by the 2008 financial crisis. Lastly, we
will proceed to evaluate the overwhelming differences between Canada and the U.S; from their
core financial system to mortgages that allowed the Canadian market to remain excluded from
the dire consequences of the US market recession, which followed shortly after the financial
crisis. A Brief History of the 2008 Financial Collapse The 2008 financial collapse were both the

Child G And The Main Components Of The Phonetic Stage
Child G is 6 years old female and her parents express that she enjoys writing both in school and at
home. Her older sister goes to sleepaway camp during the summer months and so in this piece of
writing Child G talks about her weekend at her sister s camp reunion. This writing is part of a
weekly classroom activity, weekend news . According to Gentry s five stages of spelling
development, ChildG s writingsuggests she is in the phonetic stage, with some examples of
transitional writing present (Gentry, 1982). In this piece of writing, the spelling of words has
been based on the sounds they hear, one of the main components of the phonetic stage. This is
most evident in the way she has spelt reunion, as reyouyen. This may be understood better by
child G with the use of syllable games, such as clapping as saying words aloud to hear how many
syllables are present. However, Child G does show knowledge of the rules with regards to words
ending in e, which is evident in side. The National Curriculum states that childrenof this age should
understand such rule (Department for Education, 2013a), which indicates that Child G is
progressing into the transitional stage, and is starting to become less dependent on sounds when
writing (Wyse et al. 2013). In order for Child G to sit comfortably in the transitional stage the
child s teachers and parents/carers could use several methods. The Look Cover Say Write Check

On its website, Papa John s Pizza proclaims its product with the following message: better
ingredients, better pizza. The company wanted to achieve product diversity, therefore it continued
to push its boundaries. While there are a lot of pizza eateries to choose from, it is apparent that
not all are equal. This was not apparent to one of Papa John s competitors, PizzaHut, who found the
claim to be deceptive. In 1995, Papa John s hired a consulting firm called Trout Partners, and they
coined the tagline that has become synonymous with the now multi billion dollar company

The Apartment Is An Oscar Winning Motion Picture And Made...
The Apartment is an Oscar winning motion picture and made by one of Hollywood s all time
greatest directors that ever lived. At the film s center is a romantic comedy, but it is much more
than that, when viewed without its satirical stance, it is a sad, dramedy (comedy drama or
tragicomedy). Set at the end of the 1950s during a time in American culture where an invisible
and unmentionable class system existed, indeed American society is thoroughly stratified by
this time. The film focuses on two despondent people who are caught between the haves and
have nots, where social class rank was based on educational background, income, and work level
status. The American economy of the 1950s was a booming explosion of capitalism and a
constant growing infrastructure that demanded new workers to fill the gigantic office buildings
of corporations and service workers to handle the support of public needs. America during this
period in history was a bustling and busy atmosphere full of innovation, new occupations,
suburban living, and rapid mobility. Social class distinction was on everybody s mind and social
equality was at the top of the list. The film illustrates the greed of this corporate era and the elite
managers that take advantage of it. Stuck in the cog works are two lonely people, who only want
to get ahead, and find true companionship. The tale begins in New York City, a light in an

Essay about Oscar Wilde s An Ideal Husband
Oscar Wilde s An Ideal Husband
Oscar Wilde (1845 1903) lived an outrageous and controversial life which was well publicized and
condemned, as his life defied the strict social mores of the time. He was put into this public
position due to the success of his plays which challenged Victorian earnestness while being
hilariously funny. His plays, in particular An Ideal Husband, 1895 portray Victorian society as
viciously hypocritical at it s worst and laughably pretentious at it s best. Wilde expressed this point
of view in An Ideal Husband through the rich use of plot development, construction of characters,
dramatic irony, hyperbole, witty and epigrammatic repartee and satire.
The central plot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The audience assumes that people in the real world as lucky and benevolent as this are so
becuase they worked hard and are earnest. By creating a character like this who took the easy
money and built a marriage and friendships around lies, wilde has challenged the earnestness of
the many victorian people because there were many poeple in a social position like robert s who
may have done a similar thing to get there.
In An Ideal Husband Wilde presents a view (the least flattering view presented in the play)that
victorian society is viciously hypocritical. This is acheived through the characterisation of Lady
Gertrude chiltern, as her ridiculously high morals (an important factor of earnestness) almost cost
her her marriage. she demanded to be told if robert had done some shameful thing, in which case
they would separate. This irony shows the hypocrisy of being too earnest.
Morality is an important factor of earnestness which is mocked in An Ideal Husband by the
dialogue of the play, especially the characterised dialogue of Mrs. Chevely. Through her dialogue
Morality is simply the attitude we adopt towards people whom we personally dislike. , wilde,

Brief Summary Of The Lego Company
Brief Summary of the Lego Case
The Lego Company, was founded in 1916, by Ole Kirk Christiansen in Billund, Denmark. The
company quickly expanded, producing double digit sales. Then, with the development of social
media Lego appeared to hit a brick wall when faced with the challenge of how to market their Lego
Bricks on the social web. Jack McKee, a former social media practitioner at Lego, was able to help
change the culture within the organization, so they could use the social web to build relationships
with customers, generate new product ideas by sharing propriety information, and better understand
their customers.
A strategy was put into place to help understand customer behavior. The social media strategies
enabled Lego to create personas to segment their markets. This was accomplished by the use of six
distinct personas to categorize customers, according to purchase and usage rate. This was a huge
contributor to Lego becoming one of the most successful toy manufactures.
Question #1: Which of the three personas does the Lego Group spend the most social media
marketing time and effort? It is likely that different personas will emerge from the Lego Group over
time? Explain.
The first three personas spend a great amount of time on social media interaction. However, of the
three personas the Lead Users of Lego are the most involved with the production. They play a vital
role because they help shape product design. Though they have the fewest members they are

Bible vs. Mythology
Bible vs. Myth There are many similarities and differences between Greek Mythology and The
Bible. Whether it s the creation of man and women, or the universe, stories have been told
throughout time and some can be alike and others completely different. There are people that
have gathered, translated and recorded all of these events for us now to learn about. Whether a
person believes it is true or not is up to them but if a God is real how come the stories between
these two different beliefs can be so similar. A strong similarity is the creation of man and the
universe. However the Greek Myths and the Bible have many differences when it comes to how
and why everything happened. A comparison between these two is the creation of the... Show more

So Deucalion and Pyrrha threw behind them rocks, the bones of Gaia and the rocks that Pyrrha
threw formed women and the rocks Deucalion threw formed men. Another version on the creation
of women is the story of Pandora and her box. Prometheus as the God of mankind is always
looking out for them. He tricks Zeus into choosing the worthless offering and gives humans the
better portion. As punishment Zeus takes fire from humans but Prometheus steals it back.
Outraged, Zeus asks Hephaestus to forge a woman. Athena and Aphrodite taught her womanly
skills, grace, and allure. Hermes gave her a cunning mind and a thieving temperament. Pandora
was sent down to Earth with a box in which all the horrible things in the world were inside.
Eventually her curiosity got the best of her and Pandora opened the box unleashing all the evils into
the world. This is why women are seen as beautiful and evil. Although people might think that these
two subjects seem totally unrelated. They have much more in common than thought possible. This
is only scratching the surface of the enormity of the comparisons between these two subjects. The
main idea may be the same of a lot of these but there are many different versions separating the
Bible from Greek Mythology.

Sexual Violence In Rwanda
I.Introduction
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the most dangerous place in the world to be a woman
and is one of the least developed countries in the world. A 2011 American Journal of Public
Health report found that more than 400,000 women surveyed in 2007 reported that they were
raped in the previous twelve months, adding up to 1,150 rapes per day. In a 2007 survey, 1.69 to
1.80 million women between the ages of fifteen and forty nine reported being raped in their
lifetime. Members of the Congolese army, rebel groups, militias, and other groups continue to use
sexual violence against women and children as a systematic tactic of war to destroy communities.

Despite the fact that the DRC ratified the Rome Statute in March 2002, most civilian judges have
yet to apply the provisions. Civilian courts are able to prosecute sexual violence as a domestic
crime and the DRC is looking to adopt a new civilian criminal procedure that would include Rome
Statute crimes. UN and NGO reports have long criticized the DRC for allowing sexual violence to
occur. In 1997, after allegations of human rights violations committed against Rwandan refugees,
the UN Human Rights Commission created a joint investigation mission. Despite lack of
cooperation from the DRC, the commission was able to publish a report that linked for the first
time the military carrying out massive sexual violence to serious violations of humanitarian law. In
2002, additional international NGOs got involved such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty
International. Additionally, in 2007, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution to eliminate
sexual violence. The Security Council found that sexual violence when used as a war strategy to
intentionally target civilians or as part of a widespread and systematic attack against civilian
populations can significantly exacerbate situations of armed conflict and may impede the
restoration of international peace and security.

Simpson Evenness
The results show that Manuel Antonio has the highest Simpson s Index of Diversity with a .92. I
believe that these results are miss leading. The Simpson s Index of Diversity takes into account
both species richness and evenness. Richness is defined as the number of species per sample and
evenness is defined as a measure of the relative abundance of the different speciesmaking up the
richness of an area (Country Side Info). Manuel Antonio was very even, all of the plantspecies in
the area had one or two individuals. The other samples that I took all had at least one species that

The first drawback is we do not know the names of the plants. If we knew the names of the plants
or at least what families they are in we could gain a lot more from our research. Secondly, how
we counted the moss may lead to incorrect results. We counted the plants by number but
originally we just wrote down, for example, one patch of moss. We then had to go back and
assign it a number based on the percent of area we thought the moss was covering. Thirdly, our
sample sizes were small. If they were larger we would have had a bigger picture of the biodiversity
in the area. For example, in Monteverde if we had a larger sample size it may have reached to
where the plants were denser farther off the trail. This would lead to Monteverde having a
higher Simpson Index of Diversity. Lastly, there is always human bias. I chose my spots and
many things influenced where I chose such as quantity of plants and how pretty the plants were.
If I had to do this experiment over again I would use larger sample sizes so I could get a better
idea of the biodiversity. I would also want to fix the way we accounted for moss. Lastly, I would
want to know more about the plants we were counting so more information could be extracted from

Why Advertising Alcohol Is Destroying Public Well-Being Essay

Why Advertising Alcohol Is Destroying Public Well Being When I was nine years old, I remember
seeing the most delectable, mouthwatering commercial on television. It was for beer. Growing up in
a family that did not drink, I never thought beer could look so appetizing. The beverage was
everywhere I looked except for in my own fridge. Not only adults, but kids and teens everywhere
are being bombarded with alcohol advertisements. Many of these youths choose to succumb to
these ads and end up with destructive drinking habits. Not only is alcohol damaging to youth but
also to adults. According to a U.S. study, adults were found to put themselves at severe risk of
harm after having more than four drinks in one session (Medew). This number can change
depending on the gender, size, athleticism, and other factors of the consumer. Although some may
say that alcohol is not too damaging if drunk responsibly, the fact that alcohol is a direct route to
damaging organs like the liver, heart, and pancreas and harming the brain is a red flag
(NIHSeniorHealth). To whatever extent, alcohol weakens the brain s control over movement,
speech, memory, and especially judgement, which often leads to impulsive behavior and other
dangerous activities (NIHSeniorHealth). There are plenty of harmful side effects of drinking, so
the obvious solution to preserving the nation s well being is to not encourage it. One quote by a

Drug And Alcohol Abuse In Detective Fiction
Drug and alcohol abuse is an epidemic in today s society that has torn many families apart, ruined
careers, and taken loved ones from so many families across America. Since the beginning of the
semester I have noticed a trend in much of detective fiction; many of our detectives and criminals
are intertwined with drugabuse. In this essay I would like to analyze drug and alcohol abuse in the
crimefiction genre as it is presented in this course and answer this question: What causes several

One could make the argument that it doesn t enhance the genre, that it actually hurts the
productivity of the genre. You could also say that exposing the public to this abuse as depicted
in The Wire and Top of the Lake is a negative thing because it could perpetuate the opioid
epidemic that is killing so many Americans. Another reason why so many writers and producers
may incorporate drug abuse into the genre is that it adds an extra layer the story and it adds to the
overall entertainment factor. Also from my experiences drug abuse scenes can be very graphic and
sad and that can in my case cause the scene or the moment to stick in your head longer and
encourage you to think about the situation

Fatality In Othello
[Bradley presents an overview of Othello, in an attempt to discover what makes this the most
painfully exciting and the most terrible of Shakespeare s tragedies. He highlights aspects of the play
which reinforce its emotional impact: the rapid acceleration of the plot, the intensity of Othellos
jealousy, the passive suffering of Desdemona, and the luck and skill involved in Iagos intrigue.
According to Bradley, these features combine to produce feelings of confinement and dark fatality
that suggest that the characters cannot escape their destinies. He then discusses three scenes
Othello s striking of Desdemona in IV. i, Othello s treatment of Desdemona as a whore in IV. ii, and
her death in V. ii and maintains that the emotional intensity... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I mean the suffering of Desdemona. This is, unless I mistake, the most nearly intolerable spectacle
that Shakespeare offers us. For one thing, it is mere suffering; and, ceteris paribus [other things
being equal], that is much worse to witness than suffering that issues in action. Desdemona is
helplessly passive. She can do nothing whatever. She cannot retaliate even in speech; no, not even
in silent feeling. And the chief reason of her helplessness only makes the sight of her suffering
more exquisitely painful. She is helpless because her nature is infinitely sweet and her love
absolute. I would not challenge Mr. [Algernon Charles] Swinburne s statement [in his Study of
Shakespeare] that we pity Othello even more than Desdemona; but we watch Desdemona with more
unmitigated distress. We are never wholly uninfluenced by the feeling that Othello is a man
contending with another man; but Desdemona s suffering is like that of the most loving of dumb
creatures tortured without cause by the being he

The Deaths Of Normal Stars
Neutron Stars
Guadalupe Zamudio
SMT 314 03
Professor Dawdy
October 26, 2016 The deaths of normal stars give birth to neutron stars. Neutron Stars are products
of the so called supernova. Supernovae transpire during the death of a highly developed star which
occurs when there is not enough nuclear fuel to keep the pressure intact inside the core of a star
(Gursky 1975). The aftermath of a supernova is crucial because it frees iron, carbon, copper, and
oxygen along with other elements found in a star. This explosion completely demolishes the star
and has the ability to transform into either a black hole or neutron star (Freddy 2006). These
supernovae are extremely bright and every 200 years there is an explosion that happens to be big
enough and bright enough to be seen from earth. Neutron stars are very significant within the
universe. It is said that the neutron star was discovered before the before the neutron. It was Lev
Landau who first wrote about and studied dense stars. He focused his research on the idea there
were objects in the universe that were denser than but as small as white dwarfs and regular stars
(Haensel 2007). This focus leads to the discovery of the fascinating and complicated neutron star.
The end is only the beginning for neutron stars.
The neutron star is composed of the combination of both electron and protons that will develop into
purely neutrons, which make up the core (Astronomy 2016). The density of neutron stars is so

struggled for many years gaining only 8.1 percent market share by 1991. Unilever considered
several options for growing the Becel brand, such as, price decreases, repositioning the product,
and dramatic increases in advertising support. In 1991 Lipton devised the strategy living a life that

the butter and margarine category, butter holds fifty percent of the market. The Dairy Bureau of
Canada positions butter as tasty and natural, which is conveying that margarine is processed and
does not taste as good. However, that is not true, margarine is better for you than butter and does
suit consumers tastes. In addition, the health focus of the butter and margarine market is growing.
More and more competitors are positioning their product as healthy for the consumer. For example,
Parmalat is a brand of butter that has just entered the margarine market to compete with Becel with
the brand Lactantia.

Feminist Perspective In Macbeth
Macbeth is a tragedy by Shakespeare which dramatises the theoretical feud between masculinity and
femininity whilst exploring the extent in which morality is pushed to gain power. Imbedded in the
storyline of the play is an unconventional expression of gender which can be further explored
through the feminist critical perspective lens. The feminist critical perspective challenges the
common viewpoint by re evaluating texts and highlighting patriarchal ideas of gender. Therefore the
play can be interpreted in way that seeks further insight on the differences between the portrayal of
men and women, self ambition, power abuse and common stereotypes that are depicted through the
motives of the complex characters.
The play provides a substantial amount of violent and disturbing imagery with a distorted view of
masculinity and femininity. The characters in Macbeth are depicted as hostile to the embodiment of
what it means to be a woman whilst admiring the strength and power of a man. When Macbeth
exclaims For thy undaunted mettle should compose nothing but males, (Act 1 Sc7) wishing only
male children as he believes them to be superior and able to continue his bloodline. It is seen in
Lady Macbeth s actions as well as words which presents the idea that she has an unhealthy focus on
the world of men, something she is seen to value upon all other things. Furthermore, Lady Macbeth
serves as a figure that challenges the line between masculinity and femininity when necessary. Her

The Benefits Of Legalizing Marijuana
The legality of cannabis varies from country to country. Possession of cannabis is illegal in most
countries and has been since the beginning of widespread cannabis prohibition in the late 1930s.
However, many countries have decriminalized the possession of small quantities of cannabis,
particularly in North America, South America and Europe. Furthermore, possession is legal or
effectively legal in the Netherlands, Uruguay and in the U.S. states of Colorado and Washington as
the federal government has indicated that it will not attempt to block enactment of legalization in
those states. In December 2013, Uruguay became the first country in the world to legalize the sale,
cultivation, and distribution of cannabis. There are many different types... Show more content on

Cannabis is the third widely used drug in the United States following alcohol and tobacco even
though it is currently illegal. Because marijuana is so used so much and is illegal it plays a big
role in the War on Drugs. War on Drugs is a term commonly applied to a campaign of prohibition
of drugs, military aid, and military intervention, with the purpose being to define and reduce the
illegal drug trade in the United States (Giroux Pollock). The purpose is to set drug policies that
are intended to decrease the production, distribution, and consumption of illegal drugs. Because
marijuana is illegal the price of the final product increases to very high values because of the
black market status, which together with the powerful effects of drug addiction causes users to
commit crimes in order to fund their addiction. If weed became legal and regulated in the United
States, the price would decrease leading to the decrease in the illegal drug industry. This would
also decrease the crimes committed by both drug sellers and drug users. The government spends a
lot of money on trying to stop citizens from using marijuana while there are more important things
the government should be spending their money on such as social programs. Another pro of
marijuana is that it has no physiological addiction while other drugs that are legal such as tobacco
have a higher physiological addiction rate than cocaine. Also if marijuana becomes

Persuasive Speech On Truck Driving
On December 18th, 2017, the Trump administration implemented new safety regulations that
require commercial truck drivers to use electronic logging devices.
And these are some of the current trucking related headlines Trucking is right now ... experiencing
a severe crisis . Trucking Industry Struggles with Growing Driver Shortage . You might think to
yourself: I haven t noticed it . Or how is this related to me? But how about this one: Truck driver
shortage leading to increased prices at stores . Are they related? Does this affect you? I ll explain
to you in my speech that the answer is YES to both questions.
I have been working as a semi truck driver for more than a decade. And all that time, since the day I
got my commercial driver s license, till my final day as a truck driver, the major concern for truck
drivers was the approaching day for transitioning from paper to electronic logbooks. Logbook is

This was actually presented as the main reason for introducing electronic logbooks. Now that
sounds quite convincing and realistic. Don t you think so? The thing is this is completely false
information. Or you can call it fake news media as it is very common these days. The problem I
found with this article is, that it had a lot of statements, but not a single fact or statistical number
that would be from legitimate source and could be checked. I did a quick research on Google.
Everything is online these days as you know. According to Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Administration and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 75 to 80 percent of car
truck crashes are caused by car drivers. Of those 20 to 25 percent accidents caused by truck
drivers, only less than 10 percent are caused because of fatigue. Accidents are actually mostly
caused because of tire problems, or unfamiliar, new route for a truck

The Duration Of Unemployment As Provided By The Bureau Of...
The duration of unemployment as provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics was an average of
28.1 weeks in June. The trend seem to be improving overall because the average duration of
unemployment for May was 30.7 weeks, and a year ago it was 31.4 weeks (BLS 2015). The
difficulty of finding a job seems to go up after the first month after being unemployed. The
people who are unemployed for 15 to 26 weeks have the least trouble finding jobs (BLS 2015).
After 27 weeks, more people have difficulty finding jobs (BLS 2015). A possible explanation is that
unemployed people look like worse candidates the longer they are unemployed, so they have a
harder time to find work as time goes on. Initially, people may also be discouraged from being laid

Many organizations that lend money use this rate as a guideline for the interest rates they charge
customers (Streissguth 2011). To determine the prime rate, the Wall Street Journal first carries
out surveys of 30 large banks to determine the consensus prime rate (Streissguth 2011). The
prime rate is also determined in part by the federal funds rate, which is decided by the Federal
Open Market Committee (FOMC), so the prime rate normally changes when the federal funds rate
changes (Streissguth 2011). Generally, lenders will keep their total interest rates above the prime
rate (Streissguth 2011). According to Patrick Gillespie, the FOMC is likely to raise the federal
funds rate in September. He believes they are putting off raising rates due to low inflationalong
with the rise of the dollar (Gillespie 2015).

How Technology Has Revolutionized The Realm Of Education
Introduction Technology has revolutionized the realm of education through increasing the number
of sources and methods of research (Cottrell, 2013). The accessibility of online based research
platforms has created an avenue for students to have ultimate desire to learn and eventually become
qualified scholars. Researchand more especially educational research open the heart and minds of
students to greater inventions; hence, creating a better and accomplished society. Accessibility of
information through online searches will not only create an excellent platform for research, but
also increase the intrinsic motivation and desire for students to learn; hence, become ideal citizens.
The aim of the essay is to help educators understand the implications Online Research Skills have on
the classroom. Learning institutions have embarked on creating online facilities where students can
access information through internetvia the World Wide Web
. The remote access in various parts of
the globe makes it possible for students to study irrespective of their location and the geographical
areas. However, guidance is paramount when students choose various sources of research found
online. Some sources are credible while others may not meet the standards of Academia, and this
explains why educators should provide adequate directions.
Considerations Necessary When Building Good Online Research According to Greenblatt (2012),
online research has made studies effortless for many leaners.

An Epilogue To George Orwell s Boyfriend
Almost tripping over herself, Lily rushed to the pond and blinked at her reflection. At first, she didn
t notice anything out of the ordinary, however, slowly she processed how her hair appeared thicker
and much brighter than it had the last time she had peered into the water. She admired how it
glowed under the few sunbeams that cut through the trees and she turned back to the water gremlin
with much thanks.
You have no idea how grateful I am to you! Smiling openly for the first time in a long time, Lily
could barely contain her ecstasy at the thought of how the villagers would react.
Without a second thought, she hurried out of the forest with her basket, already forgetting about
her cat, which the water gremlin eyed ravenously, thick ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Never.
Lily was almost unrecognizable, even to herself. She had the village men waiting hand and foot,
much to the dismay of the village girls, and soon hostile rumours were spread through the village.
The looks the village girls gave her were much worse than they had given her before. They began
to wonder how the ugly girl had changed so drastically in so little time. Theories were soon shared
and many began to speculate the works of a witch.
All unbeknownst to Lily, who continued to flaunt these changes. Many folk began to believe that
she was the witch. The elders would advise the young to steer clear of her, many of which didn t
listen to what they claimed were old wive tales. Lily would continue to receive attention from most
of the village boys.
Many days past and Lily fell into routine. She would bask in the attention of her admirers and
then return home to stare in the mirror whilst the paranoid villagers would spread even more
nasty gossip. Soon people would be sent to spy and would watch in horror as she stared for hours
into the old mirror in her room.
There s something wrong here! One villager would claim.
That girl isn t right! Another would chime in.
The witch is plotting something! And soon everyone was

What Is The Cosmological Argument
A logical argument for God s existence or nonexistence is the cosmological argument. William
Craig says in his book that there are three statements that give the cosmological argument form.
Craig concluded that whatever begins to exist has a cause. The Universe began to exist therefore
the Universe had a cause. What that cause was, is widely challenged. The argument against the
existence of God includes the Big BangTheory. The Big Bang Model is a broadly accepted theory
for the beginning and evolution of our universe. According to NASA, it claims that twelve to
fourteen billion years ago, the part of the universe that can be seen today was only a few
millimeters across. It has since expanded from this hot dense state into the vast and much cooler
cosmos that is inhabited. Remnants of this hot dense matter as the now very cold cosmic
microwave background radiationcan be seen which still pervades the universe and is visible to
microwave detectors as a uniform glow across the entire sky. Those who say that God does not
exist use this as their argument to explain how the universe was created. Those who support this
theory say that the universe resulted from a big bang and everything that is in existence came from
this phenomenon. In talking about the Big Bang Theory, Jeffrey Keen said, In general, science
accepts that both the structure of the universe and the laws of physics were created simultaneously
at the beginning of the Big Bang, and have since remained constant

By thinking aloud, teachers show students what good readers do. Think alouds can be used during
read alouds and shared reading. They can also be used during small group reading to review or
reteach a previously modeled strategy.
Wilhelm (2001) describes a think aloud as a way to: * Create a record of the strategic decision
making process of going through text * Report everything the reader notices, does, sees, feels, asks,
and understands as she reads * Talk about the reading strategies being used within the content being
read
There are many ways to conduct think alouds: * The teacher models the think aloud while she reads
aloud, and the students listen. * The teacher thinks aloud during shared reading, and the students
help out. * Students think aloud during shared reading, and the teacher and other students monitor
and help. * The teacher or students think aloud during shared reading while writing on an overhead,
on self stick notes, or in a journal. * Students think aloud in small group reading, and the teacher
monitors and helps. * Students individually think aloud during independent reading using self stick
notes or a journal. Then students compare their thoughts with others.
(Wilhelm, 2001)
When you introduce a new comprehension strategy, model during read aloud and shared reading:
* Decide on a strategy to model. * Choose a short text or section of text.

The Consequences Of Change In The Lovely Bones And La La Land
The Consequences of change have been moulded through the two texts The Lovely Bones, written
by Alice Sebold (2002) and La La Land, directed by Damien Chazelle (2016) and have shaped the
audiences understanding through the aspects of change and its consequences though key themes
that are showcases in both texts. These themes can be narrowed down to person, place and event.
Susie and her father Mr. Salmon both throughout the novel The Lovely Bones written by Alice
Sebold (2002) change each other as a consequence of Susie s murder. Alice Sebold uses Negative
tone and Hyperbole literary techniques to demonstrate the change between Susie and her father
through the Narration by Susie about Mr. Salmon for example when Susie talks about how Mr.
Salmon was crazy with grief and had gone out to the cornfield seeking revenge . Through the use of
these Techniques Alice Sebold tugs on the emotions of the audience and allows them to reflect on
the change in the Salmon household between losing a daughter and wanting to gain closure and as
a consequence of this the audience become torn between two decisions and Alice Sebold enables
the audience to consider their life morals. All through the text Alice Sebold grants the audience the

“Transsexual and Transgender Policies in Sport”, Essay
According to Heather Skyes in her article Transsexual and Transgender Policies in Sport , the vast
variety of genders that make up our society today including transsexuals and transgender are still
not accepted into the world of sports due to anxieties from large sporting organizations. In our
culture, there is a binary structure which separates male from female. When a person is transsexual
or transgender, the binary structure becomes challenged. There are so many exceptions to the
binary structure, that it becomes nearly impossible to universalize gender inclusive policies . These
individuals increase the anxieties that Skyes suggests sporting organizations have, because
transsexual and transgender people do not fit the norm.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When it comes to physical activity women are seen as inferior to men. They lack the muscular
physique and the lung capacity that men are naturally born with. Unfortunately, when a woman
excels in sports it is assumed that she has cheated and is questioned about her performance. In
Genel s article, throughout the process of gender testing, a group of women were found to be
genetically male. These women have what is called Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (AIS). Their
outer appearance is that of a woman, but genetically they are made up of 46 XY chromosomes,
which marks them genetically as males. These female athletes are born with relatively rare genetic
abnormalities that affect development of the gonads . they are naturally resistant to the strength
promoting qualities of testosterone. When Skyes suggests that each athlete is unique and their
circumstances need to be taken into consideration, this is one of those many circumstances. A
weakness to Skyes article would be the fact that our society is very judgemental. Sports
organizations fear the classification process of transsexual and transgender athletes into mainstream
sporting events. Although most people will say they are for the equality of others, in reality many
people in our society do not approve of transsexual and transgender people. These non binary
athletes may never be fully accepted into mainstream sports if sporting organizations continue to
fret about anxieties these

Nathan Adrian Case Study
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. West Virginia University s Nathan Adrian is one player turning heads
as the Mountaineers prepare for the upcoming season. Adrian had a breakout freshman campaign
where he averaged 5.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. It was his three point shooting that
turned heads. Adrian finished the season with 39 3 point field goals, tying him for sixth in
school history among Mountaineer freshman. But his sophomore season was plagued by a wrist
injury. The 6 foot 9, 235 pound forward bounced back last season but he is ready to make his
mark on his final season at WVU. Nate s played really well, head coach Bob Huggins said. Over

Adrian is prepared to do just that. I definitely feel I need to be a leader because I m a senior, he
said. I know what it is and what it means to people around here. So I ll take that responsibility.

the task at hand and Adrian is doing just that. You lead by example, Huggins said. It s one thing
to sit and talk and try and tell people what to do. It s another thing to go out there and do it and
lead by example. JC has been great and Nate s been great. Those two guys probably stand out
more than anybody else does. It s a long season so consistency become imperative when you re
playing that long and when you re playing in a league as hard as the Big 12 has been. Helping
the newcomers is something that is important to the senior. All of our seniors as a whole have
really done a good job leading our younger guys, Adrian said. If they need help with something, we

What Is The Most Common Ownership Structure Ownership Structure Besides deciding whether to purchase a new or established property, buyers also need to decide on the ownership structure of their property. As we are all unique individuals, there are different ownership structures that can be beneficial for different people. The structure you choose will be dependent on your own individual circumstances. The most common ownership structures include the following: Individual Ownership, as the name implies, means that the property is owned by a single person. With this ownership structure, proper estate planning is essential and a will needs to be drawn up with clear instructions on asset distribution to avoid intestacy rules, which can have a devastating effect for surviving family members and loved ones. From an investment point of view, the owner will reap all the tax benefits; this is especially useful for high income earners to lower their taxes through negative gearing when purchasing an investment property. However, you must consider that the single owner will also be subjected to higher capital gains tax if the investment property is sold while earning that high income. Joint Tenants simply means that you re married or in a de facto relationship with the person with whom you are buying the property. When you purchase in this structure, if one of the married couple passes away, the other half of the property would automatically be transferred to the surviving partner. This past spring break I was fortunate enough to travel to Arlington, Texas, with my youth group from my church. As a group, this would be our second time traveling to Arlington for a mission purpose. As an individual, Arlington changed me. When my youth group is traveling a long distance, we rent a couple of twelve passenger vans. Driving to Arlington takes about ten hours, including bathroom stops and lunch breaks. Every time my youth leader tells the group to go to the bathroom, no one listens. That is because we are teenagers and do not have the best listening skills. They are rights held by groups (peoples) in Canadian society that are recognized and protected by Canada s constitution. Those groups include Aboriginals, Francophones and Anglophones. * Collective rights are different than individual rights. Laws are administered through the courts. Laws are enforceable in which the policies comply. A law is more formal as it is a system of rules and guidelines that are derived for the welfare and equity in society. A policy is just informal as it is just a statement or a document of what is intended to be done in the future. Why do some groups have collective rights and not others? * Collective rights recognize the founding peoples of Canada. Canada would not exist today without the contribution of these peoples. * Collective rights come from the roots of Aboriginal peoples, Francophones and Anglophones in the land and history of Canada. * Certain groups have collective rights due to historical and constitutional reasons. Why are collective rights important to all Canadians? * Collective rights are important to all Canadians because each group in Canadian society is different in its own unique way; having collective rights is a lot like having an outfit completely custom made to fit your type of person and style; collective rights are manufactured to uphold each groups individual culture, style, and to meet every groups needs according to the groups unique structure. Not only are soldiers affected by war, but also the civilians they try to protect. In the poems; Memorial Tablet written by Siegfried Sassoon and In Flanders Fields written by John McCrae, we can see the first negative impact war has. Soldiers are robbed by death of the ability to live a normal life. In the book Catching Falling Stars by Karen McCombie, and the T.V series M.A.S.H produced by Larry Gelbart we see how war has negative effects on the safety of civilians. In Flanders Fields the soldiers spend their lives fighting for something they believe in but they never get to see the results of what they ve fought so hard to accomplish. In Memorial Tablet, the soldier knew that there was more to his life than dying in a war and he s mad because he never gets to experience the greater side of life which was taken away. Though there are two perspectives that the soldiers had, they both ended up dying before getting to enjoy life. This proves that the negative affects of war on soldiers are that they don t get to live a normal life because it s taken away from them by death. Another way that war has negative effects is on the safety of civilians. During war, airmen tend to drop bombs on civilians without thinking of the damage they can cause. In Catching Faling stars , two children suffer the affects of air raids. They were living in London during a time of war, so they knew to expect danger. A siren rang warning them of an air raid so they hid in their basement with their neighbour but it wasn t enough to protect them. When the bomb landed and exploded, they were all separated from each other. One of the children suffered from a temporary hearing loss and many scars, while the other sibling also had many scars. • 18. The Collapse Of The Housing Bubble Collapse Introduction The following essay will thoroughly examine the severe economic downturn of 2008, formerly known as the housing bubble collapse. We will mainly focus our discussion on the effects the financial crisis had on Canada and the U.S and examine why both countries were affected differently. Although the collapse of the housing bubble is the most identifiable cause, it is extremely difficult to pinpoint one specific defining moment or event triggering the global financial collapse. There are many factors involved, due to the complex nature of the financial systems across the world, and this paper will delve in the key contributing variables that led to this financial crises. To begin, a brief history recap of the financial crises in 2008 will be given. Following that will be a breakdown of how the financial systems were set up in Canada and the U.S. We will then, in detail, discuss the Canadian and the U.S financial markets, in particular, the housing market and how each country was affected by the 2008 financial crisis. Lastly, we will proceed to evaluate the overwhelming differences between Canada and the U.S; from their core financial system to mortgages that allowed the Canadian market to remain excluded from the dire consequences of the US market recession, which followed shortly after the financial crisis. Her older sister goes to sleepaway camp during the summer months and so in this piece of writing Child G talks about her weekend at her sister s camp reunion. This writing is part of a weekly classroom activity, weekend news . According to Gentry s five stages of spelling development, ChildG s writingsuggests she is in the phonetic stage, with some examples of transitional writing present (Gentry, 1982). In this piece of writing, the spelling of words has been based on the sounds they hear, one of the main components of the phonetic stage. This is most evident in the way she has spelt reunion, as reyouyen. This may be understood better by child G with the use of syllable games, such as clapping as saying words aloud to hear how many syllables are present. However, Child G does show knowledge of the rules with regards to words ending in e, which is evident in side. The National Curriculum states that childrenof this age should understand such rule (Department for Education, 2013a), which indicates that Child G is progressing into the transitional stage, and is starting to become less dependent on sounds when writing (Wyse et al. 2013). In order for Child G to sit comfortably in the transitional stage the child s teachers and parents/carers could use several methods. At the film s center is a romantic comedy, but it is much more than that, when viewed without its satirical stance, it is a sad, dramedy (comedy drama or tragicomedy). Set at the end of the 1950s during a time in American culture where an invisible and unmentionable class system existed, indeed American society is thoroughly stratified by this time. The film focuses on two despondent people who are caught between the haves and have nots, where social class rank was based on educational background, income, and work level status. The American economy of the 1950s was a booming explosion of capitalism and a constant growing infrastructure that demanded new workers to fill the gigantic office buildings of corporations and service workers to handle the support of public needs. America during this period in history was a bustling and busy atmosphere full of innovation, new occupations, suburban living, and rapid mobility. Social class distinction was on everybody s mind and social equality was at the top of the list. The film illustrates the greed of this corporate era and the elite managers that take advantage of it. Essay about Oscar Wilde s An Ideal Husband Oscar Wilde s An Ideal Husband Oscar Wilde (1845 1903) lived an outrageous and controversial life which was well publicized and condemned, as his life defied the strict social mores of the time. His plays, in particular An Ideal Husband, 1895 portray Victorian society as viciously hypocritical at it s worst and laughably pretentious at it s best. Reading Writing 6 May 2016 Why Advertising Alcohol Is Destroying Public Well Being When I was nine years old, I remember seeing the most delectable, mouthwatering commercial on television. It was for beer. Growing up in a family that did not drink, I never thought beer could look so appetizing. The beverage was everywhere I looked except for in my own fridge. Not only adults, but kids and teens everywhere are being bombarded with alcohol advertisements. Many of these youths choose to succumb to these ads and end up with destructive drinking habits. Not only is alcohol damaging to youth but also to adults. According to a U.S. study, adults were found to put themselves at severe risk of harm after having more than four drinks in one session (Medew). This number can change depending on the gender, size, athleticism, and other factors of the consumer. Although some may say that alcohol is not too damaging if drunk responsibly, the fact that alcohol is a direct route to damaging organs like the liver, heart, and pancreas and harming the brain is a red flag (NIHSeniorHealth). To whatever extent, alcohol weakens the brain s control over movement, speech, memory, and especially judgement, which often leads to impulsive behavior and other dangerous activities (NIHSeniorHealth). There are plenty of harmful side effects of drinking, so the obvious solution to preserving the nation s well being is to not encourage it. One quote by a Seattle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She can do nothing whatever. She cannot retaliate even in speech; no, not even in silent feeling. And the chief reason of her helplessness only makes the sight of her suffering more exquisitely painful. She is helpless because her nature is infinitely sweet and her love absolute. I would not challenge Mr. [Algernon Charles] Swinburne s statement [in his Study of Shakespeare] that we pity Othello even more than Desdemona; but we watch Desdemona with more unmitigated distress. We are never wholly uninfluenced by the feeling that Othello is a man contending with another man; but Desdemona s suffering is like that of the most loving of dumb creatures tortured without cause by the being he ... • 37. The Deaths Of Normal Stars Neutron Stars Guadalupe Zamudio SMT 314 03 Professor Dawdy October 26, 2016 The deaths of normal stars give birth to neutron stars. Neutron Stars are products of the so called supernova. Supernovae transpire during the death of a highly developed star which occurs when there is not enough nuclear fuel to keep the pressure intact inside the core of a star (Gursky 1975). The aftermath of a supernova is crucial because it frees iron, carbon, copper, and oxygen along with other elements found in a star. This explosion completely demolishes the star and has the ability to transform into either a black hole or neutron star (Freddy 2006). These supernovae are extremely bright and every 200 years there is an explosion that happens to be big enough and bright enough to be seen from earth. Neutron stars are very significant within the universe. It is said that the neutron star was discovered before the before the neutron. It was Lev Landau who first wrote about and studied dense stars. He focused his research on the idea there were objects in the universe that were denser than but as small as white dwarfs and regular stars (Haensel 2007). This focus leads to the discovery of the fascinating and complicated neutron star. The end is only the beginning for neutron stars. The neutron star is composed of the combination of both electron and protons that will develop into purely neutrons, which make up the core (Astronomy 2016). The density of neutron stars is so ... Becel Margarine was launched in 1978 as a premium priced product, positioned as the heart healthy margarine of choice. Previously, the Becel brand had been positioned as the heart healthy margarine of choice in Europe for twenty years prior to Canadian introduction. Despite unique positioning Becel struggled for many years gaining only 8.1 percent market share by 1991. Unilever considered several options for growing the Becel brand, such as, price decreases, repositioning the product, and dramatic increases in advertising support. In 1991 Lipton devised the strategy living a life that is young at heart . This strategy was very successful with its current target market, 65 and above. In the butter and margarine category, butter holds fifty percent of the market. The Dairy Bureau of Canada positions butter as tasty and natural, which is conveying that margarine is processed and does not taste as good. However, that is not true, margarine is better for you than butter and does suit consumers tastes. In addition, the health focus of the butter and margarine market is growing. More and more competitors are positioning their product as healthy for the consumer. For example, Parmalat is a brand of butter that has just entered the margarine market to compete with Becel with the brand Lactantia. The outline for the analysis will begin with the problem ... • 39. Feminist Perspective In Macbeth Macbeth is a tragedy by Shakespeare which dramatises the theoretical feud between masculinity and femininity whilst exploring the extent in which morality is pushed to gain power. Imbedded in the storyline of the play is an unconventional expression of gender which can be further explored through the feminist critical perspective lens. The feminist critical perspective challenges the common viewpoint by re evaluating texts and highlighting patriarchal ideas of gender. Therefore the play can be interpreted in way that seeks further insight on the differences between the portrayal of men and women, self ambition, power abuse and common stereotypes that are depicted through the motives of the complex characters. The play provides a substantial amount of violent and disturbing imagery with a distorted view of masculinity and femininity. The characters in Macbeth are depicted as hostile to the embodiment of what it means to be a woman whilst admiring the strength and power of a man. When Macbeth exclaims For thy undaunted mettle should compose nothing but males, (Act 1 Sc7) wishing only male children as he believes them to be superior and able to continue his bloodline. It is seen in Lady Macbeth s actions as well as words which presents the idea that she has an unhealthy focus on the world of men, something she is seen to value upon all other things. Furthermore, Lady Macbeth serves as a figure that challenges the line between masculinity and femininity when necessary. Her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cannabis is the third widely used drug in the United States following alcohol and tobacco even though it is currently illegal. Because marijuana is so used so much and is illegal it plays a big role in the War on Drugs. War on Drugs is a term commonly applied to a campaign of prohibition of drugs, military aid, and military intervention, with the purpose being to define and reduce the illegal drug trade in the United States (Giroux Pollock). The purpose is to set drug policies that are intended to decrease the production, distribution, and consumption of illegal drugs. Because marijuana is illegal the price of the final product increases to very high values because of the black market status, which together with the powerful effects of drug addiction causes users to commit crimes in order to fund their addiction. If weed became legal and regulated in the United States, the price would decrease leading to the decrease in the illegal drug industry. This would also decrease the crimes committed by both drug sellers and drug users. The government spends a lot of money on trying to stop citizens from using marijuana while there are more important things the government should be spending their money on such as social programs. Another pro of marijuana is that it has no physiological addiction while other drugs that are legal such as tobacco have a higher physiological addiction rate than cocaine. • 48. What Is The Cosmological Argument A logical argument for God s existence or nonexistence is the cosmological argument. William Craig says in his book that there are three statements that give the cosmological argument form. Craig concluded that whatever begins to exist has a cause. The Universe began to exist therefore the Universe had a cause. What that cause was, is widely challenged. The argument against the existence of God includes the Big BangTheory. The Big Bang Model is a broadly accepted theory for the beginning and evolution of our universe. According to NASA, it claims that twelve to fourteen billion years ago, the part of the universe that can be seen today was only a few millimeters across. It has since expanded from this hot dense state into the vast and much cooler cosmos that is inhabited. Remnants of this hot dense matter as the now very cold cosmic microwave background radiationcan be seen which still pervades the universe and is visible to microwave detectors as a uniform glow across the entire sky. Those who say that God does not exist use this as their argument to explain how the universe was created. Those who support this theory say that the universe resulted from a big bang and everything that is in existence came from this phenomenon. In talking about the Big Bang Theory, Jeffrey Keen said, In general, science accepts that both the structure of the universe and the laws of physics were created simultaneously at the beginning of the Big Bang, and have since remained constant ...
