from collectivism. In the novel, society has put strict rules in place to ensure members are controlled

Vanderhaeghe also wrote the screenplay for the film. The book was based on the true story of the
Cypress Hills massacre in 1873. I will provide a summary of the film s most important plot points,
characters and background information. The movie covers the horrors that were witnessed in Cypress
Hills and shows the inhumane way Native Americans have been treated since colonization, in 1873
and through to the 1920s. The movie explains how white men were hearkened as heroes for
committing these atrocities which were largely excused because society at that time viewed natives as
inhuman and therefore undeserving of human rights. The film was set with a background in both 1873
pioneer plains and 1920s Hollywood. This method was used to show a dualism within the two eras
and that negative attitudes towards Native Americans had not been corrected as they should have been
but only muffled. I will compare the film and its accuracy to the actual Cypress Hills massacre and

Details and aim of replicated study: Luria and Rubin (1974)
Background literature: Previous studies about gender stereotypes enforced on people include; Effect of
infant s perceived gender on adolescents ratings of the infant by Degelman, Dvorak, and Homutoff
and Cowan (1983). These studies highlight feminine and masculine traits. They ask middle school
students to rate a baby on each of those traits.
Rationale: Our group decided to examine the differences in how boys and girls are described. We used
a baby, whose gender is not mentioned, as the control. We knew that specific sets of expectations
based on gender are enforced at a young age. We thought adjectives used to describe a baby could
highlight stereotypical gender roles.
Aim / Hypothesis: We believe it is more likely for the baby to be described based on appearance when
told it is a girl and when told it is a boy to be described based on their potential and whether they
looked smart . Our aim is to highlight the differences between males and females using stereotypical
gender roles.
Method
Design: 15 students were each asked the same question, could you tell us 5 words or phrases that
describe this baby? . 5 were told it was a girl, 5 were told it was a boy, and 5 weren t told a gender.
We decided to use 15 people so that we could use the non gendered descriptions from 5 of the
participants and compare them to the descriptions of boys and

Through her individual given time to students that need it, Mrs. Graham helped better student
understanding and comprehension. When a student needed more time, she quietly told that they were
able to keep working, allowing them to keep working. This helped her students be able to not worry
about finishing with the class, yet also helped them understand the entirety of the lessons at their own
paces. With the age of technology, Mrs. Graham further her students interest in English by putting into
place with the other seventh grade English teachers dedicated time in each class for students to be able

Before the level of processing theory, psychologists Atkinson and Shiffrin (1968) introduced the multi
store model demonstrated memory involving three different stores, sensory store, the short term store
(STS) and the long term store (LTS). They indicated that purposes of these static stores are to hold

The Strategic Board Game Strategy
The strategic board game, Diplomacy, focuses on wars, but more importantly the act of negotiating.
The players are responsible for forming strategies by both developing and breaking alliances with
their competitors. The game is set in Europe during World War I with most teams beginning with
similar resources. Each player team competes as an either Austria Hungary, Turkey, Italy, England,
France, Russia, or Germany. With at least three home center game pieces on the board, there are
strategic movements in order to control one of the eighteen supply centers. This involves phases of
negotiation prior to movement of the game piece. There is no factor of luck. The main variable in the

The structure of 2 was determined by the standard crystallographic method, using a colorless plate
crystal (0.028 × 0.034 × 0.046 mm3) of 2 for single crystal data analysis. All the data were collected

2.6 Second order nonlinear optical measurements
Powder second harmonic generating (SHG) measurements of polycrystalline material 2 were
performed using a modified Kurtz NLO system using 1064 nm radiation [33]. A DAWA Q switched
Nd:YAG laser, operating at 20 Hz, was used for the measurements. Because the SHG efficiency has
been shown to depend strongly on the particle size, polycrystalline samples were ground and sieved
(Newark Wire Cloth Co.) into distinct particle size ranges (20 45, 45 63, 63 75, 75 90, 90 125, 125
150, 150 200, 200 250, 250 μm). To make relevant comparisons with the known SHG materials,
crystalline α SiO2 and LiNbO3 were also ground and sieved into the same particle size ranges.
Powders with the particle size in the range 45 63 µm were used for comparing the SHG intensities. All
the powder samples with different particle sizes were placed in separate capillary tubes. No index
matching fluid was used in any of the experiments. The SHG light, i.e., 532 nm green light, was
collected in reflection and detected using a photomultiplier tube (Hamamatsu). To detect only the
SHG light, a 532 nm narrow pass interference filter was attached to the tube. A digital oscilloscope
(Tektronix TDS1032) was used to view the SHG signal. A detailed description of the equipment and
the methodology used has been published [34].

On 03 December 2015 at 1048 hours, a call from Casey s General Store located at 400 Broadway Ave,
Godfrey, IL 62035, was placed to 911. Billie Joe Anderson, a clerk at Casey s stated, A young woman
came into the store and asked me to call the police for a domestic dispute at 900 Indiana. She further
indicated that the woman said, The police needed to go to the 1300 block of Virginia where the
domestic dispute will be continuing.
Dispatch then contacted Madison County Sherriff s Department, located at 405 Randle St
Edwardsville, IL 62025, explained the situation and dispatched us to 1300 block of Virginia.

Description Although single sourcing can create an efficient, low cost supply chain model for many

Research Question
Although a big part of German exports consist of low technology products, almost all research about
factors influencing internationalisation of new ventures, has been done focusing on companies that
operate in the high technology industry. The environment in which these firms operate is very
different from the environment in which low technology firms operate. High technology firms face
high R D costs, short product life cycles and mostly operate in niche markets (Knight Cavusgill,
2004). These conditions are very different for low tech firms (Evers, 2010). Here, R D costs and
product life cycles play no significant role. Since studies about new venture internationalisation are so
heavily grounded in the high tech sector, little is known about the factors that affect the
internationalisation of firms in the low tech sector. This raises the possibility that past findings do not
generalize equally well to all economic sectors (Zahra George, 2002). Furthermore, little research has
been done about how environmental factors influence new venture internationalisation, and more
research is necessary to find out how these factors influence early internationalisation (Fernhaber,
2007). Environmental factors are factors that a firm cannot control, and that are part of the external
environment they operate in (Zou and Stan, 1998). These factors can have a significant push and pull

Endangered Species Of Primate
Humans have always been a destructive species. Throughout history, and especially recently, humans
have been the cause of many species going extinct or threatened of extinction. Primates are no
exception to the destructive and damaging effects. Humans feel as if they are superior to other species,
even those who are biologically similar to us. Humans feel the need to dominate other species which
is one reason primates are being hunted. Many people who hunt primates claim that they are hunting
for bushmeat. This statement is true, but it is not necessary in many areas where there are many more
sources of protein. Some people in certain areas hunt primates for the sport of it, which is extremely
devastating to many different species of primates. There have been some efforts made in order to
protect certain species of primates. Another cause for endangered species of primates is deforestation.
Some efforts that have been made are nature sanctuaries and creating laws against hunting. What
needs to be done in order to decrease hunting and deforestation is education of subject to the people of
the areas.
One species of primate that is critically endangered due to the effects of humans, is the Hapalemur
alaotrensis, or commonly referred to as the Alaotra Gentle Lemur. This lemur is critically endangered
due to severe anthropogenic effects. Their habitats are destroyed by humans through fires and
deforestation. They are then forced into small areas around them where they cannot

Stanislavski Set Affects The Actor
The second part of this essay looks at how the set affects the actor. Something that is very prevalent in
almost all of the pictures we see of Stanislavski on stage is his almost cluttered looking stage. Being a
fan and believer of Naturalism his goal would be to bring the audience and even the actors into this
world he d created. Having a fully immersive set yields positive and negative effects for the actors.
The positive for this is as I stated earlier a full sense of immersion. Should the set looks and feels
exactly as it should be then then less imagination is required from the actor. They can effortlessly
