This paper reviews the development and application of an iris recognition system, emphasizing its unique biometric advantages over methods like fingerprinting and facial recognition. The proposed system follows a structured six-step process involving image acquisition, localization, isolation, normalization, feature extraction, and matching using Hamming distance, thereby maximizing accuracy and minimizing error rates.
