A study to evaluate the banking services provided to SME customers by ICICI bank in uttar pradesh, introduction to the topic, review of literature,Objective of study, research methodolgy, limitations, conclusion, bibliography.
This research work investigated the influence of firm size on the financial performance of deposit money banks quoted on the Nigerian stock exchange. The research work is necessitated by the need to find the factors that respond positively or negatively to the financial performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria. Five deposit money banks were sampled with the aid of Taro Yemeni sampling technique to represent the entire banking industry in Nigeria. The firm size proxied by log of total assets represents the explanatory variable while the financial performance measured by profitability proxied by return on asset is the dependent variable. The analysis was conducted using the pooled OLS regression and fixed effect/random effect regression with the aid of STATA for panel regression. In addition, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were computed. The finding of the study indicates that firm size insignificantly negatively influenced financial performance as a result of diseconomies of scale. The study therefore recommends that the industry should minimize the cost of expansion and enjoy maximum benefits of economies of scale in addition to other factors that may stimulate financial performance should be considered instead of the firm size that indicate insignificantly negative effect.

Double Performance Prism: innovation performance Measurement systems for manu...AM Publications
No performance measurement system currently takes into account the innovator dilemma which consists of the necessity of balancing between the exploratory and exploitative innovation activities. This balance remains a major challenge in innovation management. Although small and medium enterprises account for 95% of firms in developed countries, according to Web of Science database, only 1.5% of research papers on innovation and 0.5% of research papers on performance measurement focus on small and medium enterprises. Drawing on the Performance Prism of Andy Neely, this paper develops an innovation performance measurement system for manufacturing small and medium enterprises in order to achieve a balance of exploration and exploitation activities. This model, known as the Double Performance Prism, is based on stakeholder theory. It considers innovation as a solution to customers’ expressed and observed needs. It has been implemented in two manufacturing small and medium enterprises. As key results, an innovation success map and a 10-indicator Innovation Scoreboard emerged from the research and implementation. The aim of these results is to foster the development of an ambidextrous organization. Further quantitative studies will be necessary to validate the proposed innovation map.

Effect of Entrepreneurial Orientation on the Performance of Small EnterprisesAI Publications
Several studies have revealed the importance of the entrepreneurial orientation (EO) concept in improving firm performance since its inception. However, because of the complications that small businesses face, there are still concerns about whether EO can improve their performance. This study investigated the effect of EO on the performance of small enterprises in Abuja, Nigeria. The objective of the study is to specifically assess the effect of the dimensions of EO viz. autonomy, innovativeness, proactiveness and risk-taking on the business performance of small enterprises in Abuja. The study made use of a survey research design to target a population of 2750 small enterprises in Abuja. Using the Taro Yamane formula, a sample size of 349 was obtained. Of the questionnaires randomly issued to the small enterprises, 338 were completed and returned representing a 96.84% response rate. The questionnaires contained closed-ended questions that were rated on a 5-point Likert scale. The data was then analysed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. Arising from the result, the regression model was significant at 0.000 with the calculated value greater than the critical value (16.910>2.399), hence, the null hypothesis was rejected. It was concluded that, overall, EO has a significant effect on business performance. However, of the dimensions tested, autonomy is insignificant, while innovativeness, proactiveness and risk-taking are significant. The study recommends that entrepreneurial development initiative that aims at building the EO dimensions of small enterprises should focus on innovativeness, proactiveness and risk-taking, rather than autonomy.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
