Comparing Duchess Of Malfi And Midsummer Night s Dream
In the plays, The Duchess of Malfi by John Webster and Midsummer Night s Dream by William
Shakespeare, the main female characters can be put together from either story for easy comparison.
The Duchess and Cariola, from The Duchess of Malfi, can be compared to Hermia and Helena, from a
Midsummer Night s Dream, respectively as they serve as foils, even though they appear in different
plays. The reaction they have towards authority creates this comparison as they act similarly to each
other when it turns against them. The Duchess and Hermia, both devious and defiant, attempts to
escape their problems, as others treat Cariola and Helena poorly and cannot deal with the problems
when times get tough.
The Duchess and Hermia are torn away from their new lovers, and they both take similar action to
resolve their problems. Widowed in early age, the Duchess, a strong willed, loving wife and mother,
loses her bond in love but quickly finds love again. She finds Antonio, but her brothers demand her
not to continue; therefore she runs away. Hermia, a passionate woman with a strong will to love the
one she cannot, gets restricted from love due to her father s strong will and law. The Duchess, in
secret, does what she wants with Antonio by hastily marrying him, and having three children. Hermia,

with him, due to his own thought and the will of law she continues to follow him. Helena, in the
process of trying to gain the love of him, whines and whimpers as she cannot get her way. Both

Comparing The Haywain And Hell By Hieronymus Bosch
Hieronymus Bosch, born Jheronimus Van, was a Dutch painter during the fifteenth and sixteenth
centuries who is renowned for his use of surrealism, and often morbid detail, to convey his
interpretations of religion as it pertained to the society he lived in. Little is known of his personal life
and, in fact, many of the works attributed to him can not actually be proven to be his original work.
Although Bosch could be compared to other well known surrealist painters such as Salvador Dali, he
is primarily known for his use of triptych and fantastic attention to detail that gives him his own
unique, recognizable and strange style. His most famous works include The Garden of Earthly
Delights, The Haywain and Hell, and all serve as somewhat of a social commentary and personal ...

In essence, The Garden of Earthly Delights, perhaps the most famous of his works, consists of three
individual panes in a triptych that tell the story of mankind s evolution from the beginning in the
Garden of Eden and shows society s downfall and eventual path to Hell. The Haywain and Hell are
lesser known but both similarly illustrate various aspects of Bosch s viewpoint regarding human sin
and the ultimate result of such sin. Bosch is certainly a very unique and fascinating artist and this
paper will discuss the detail and potential meanings of the works previously mentioned, their
relevance to the world at the time of their creation and their continued relevance throughout history.
As discussed in the introduction, The Garden of Earthly Delights is the most well known and most
likely the most interesting and significant of Bosch s works. The first panel of the triptych depicts and
Adam and Eve standing with Jesus in the Garden of Eden. This illustrates man s original purity but,

John Piper Research Paper
Distinguished pastor and scholar John Piper wrote that there are two types of missionaries in the world
today Timothy like and Paul like missionaries. Timothy left his home in Lystra and joined the apostle
Paul during his second missionary journey. He crossed different Mediterranean cultures and
eventually became the overseer of the church in Ephesus. He served as a resident missionary in that
renowned city away from home. On the other hand, the apostle Paul was an itinerant evangelist or a
frontier missionary, who went about preaching the gospel and establishing churches in different
places. His aim, as he categorically stated, was to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been
named (Rom. 15:20). By this criterion, Pastor P.T.

Gender Is A Fundamental Piece Of Society s Structure
Gender has been thought of to be a part of the human condition, that it is a part of nature and as
creatures of nature, it is inherently fixed within us. This idea has led many to believe that there only
one way to experience gender that follows the law of nature. The natural way is to be a masculine
male, or a feminine female, to form romantic and sexual relationships with the opposite sex, and to
perform the way that is expected of their sex. The belief in this innate male female dichotomy is a
fundamental piece of society s structure. Infants are gendered the second they are born, and
throughout their lives they are guided and beat into the path chosen for them. Every detail of their
everyday life is scripted for them and whenever they fail to deliver a line or make the specific move in
that script, they are reprimanded and made to repeat it and repeat it until it is learned. The script is
repeated so often that the role becomes alive within them until they have immersed themselves so
deeply into the role that they completely embody it. Obviously the fact that gender normativity has to
be ingrained into individuals since infancy negates the idea of it being innate. However, society still
insists on continuing and implementing this idea onto everyone even though it is built on a flawed and
weak foundation. The false belief that gender is inherent within us is not even the only flaw; there are
so many people that do not fall within the natural way of experiencing gender

Ford Heights Essay
Once referred to as the poorest suburb in America, the community has taken many steps to strengthen
its future. In 1987, the village changed its name to Ford Heights. Ford Heights, formerly East Chicago
Heights is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Ford Heights was first settled in the late
1840s. It served as a stopping point on the Underground Railroad for runaway slaves fleeing to
freedom. By the early 20th century, the area had developed into an agricultural community of farms
operated mostly by Polish, Lithuanian, and Italians. After World War I, Blacks from the Southern U.S.
migrated to the area and worked on the farms. After 1920, more residents came to live on newly
subdivided land called the Park Addition on a farm road from Chicago Heights to Indiana. In 1924, the
main east west road became a two lane concrete highway designated as U.S. Route 30 in 1926, later
known as the transcontinental Lincoln Highway. Early settlers included the family of Alberta
Armstrong. She and others organized black and white women to raise funds for a fire truck, and by
1948, this group became the East Chicago Heights Citizens Association. In 1949, East Chicago

Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of this paper is to know the perception of the customers towards dimensions
of E banking between public and private banks across Accuracy, Cost Effectiveness, Efficiency,
Accessibility and Easy to use.
DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH A convenience sampling technique was used to recruit 320
customers through a well designed questionnaire from three Public Banks i.e. SBI, Punjab National
Bank and Bank of Baroda and three Private Banks i.e. ICICI, HDFC and Axis Bank of NCR, India.

These banks also introduced their internet banking services in the same period of time. Industrial
Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) was the first private bank which gave its e
banking services in 1996 and other private sector banks like Citibank, IndusInd bank and Housing
Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC) bank started offering e banking services in 1999
only.
In 2010 the total amount of internet bank users was estimated to be 100,000,000, which is about 8.5
percent of India s population. Recently, the speed and excellence of banking has changed by the latest
technological advancements. Core banking solutions is the most important facility which improves the
competency of banking services. Further, introduction of automated teller machines (ATMs) enabled
customers to perform banking operations anytime. ATM is a highly accepted e banking service among
customers and works as an alternative banking channel (Hans Kamath, 2013). Initially it was limited
to the disbursal of cash but now it is used for delivery of a wide range of banking services such as
accessing the account information, depositing cash, withdrawing money, generating mini statement
and online shopping, recharging online, booking tickets and many such facilities.

The Importance Of A Successful Communication Plan
Communication plays a critical role on making sure the correct people will receive the information,
what information will be communicated, how it will be communicated, how often, and who will be
responsible for delivering the message during a project. All communication plans will be according to
the needs of the project. Establishing a successful communication plan is one of the most important
factors contributing to a successful project (CA.gov, 2007).
When looking at the project communication plans from several organizations such as the Department
of Agriculture (USDA), the City of Scottsdale, and the Park Development and Acquisition we can see
some similarities and differences on how their plans are developed. Some are more extensive and
detailed, and some are concise and to the point. Many of these differences are due to the need of the
projects and who is involved.
Out of the three communication plans, the USDA is the shortest and least detailed. The USDA plan
does not include a table of content, making it more difficult for the reader to find needed information
quickly. Both of the other plans, City of Scottsdale and Seattle Parks and Recreation, start their
communication plan using a table of contents, making it easier for the reader. The plan from the
Seattle Parks and Recreation is the most extensive and detailed due to the complexity of the project
and length of it, with thirty seven pages in length, while the other two are under nine pages.
All three

The Brain s Catalyst Paper
Exercise: The Brain s Catalyst
An increasing body of evidence verifies the influence of exercise on energy and function of the central
nervous system (CNS) and how it can even help against neurological disorders. According to these
studies and reports, exercise has the astonishing ability to boost mental health, and modern efforts are
being dedicated to use this capability to reduce cognitive degeneration in aging and psychiatric
illnesses. In this paper, recent studies are examined in humans and animals demonstrating the ability
of exercise to uphold cognitive health across a lifespan. Accompanied with the goal to develop a
complete explanation of how the effects of exercise in the brain correlates to the results provided from
human studies. Improvements in neuroimaging have been vital in recording the relationship between
the intellectual benefit and action of particular neural networks in the hippocampus and cerebral
cortex involving individuals who practice exercise. Current innovations in the imaging of ... Show

For example, exercise has proven an extraordinary ability to impact molecular passageways involved
with synaptic function, which is essential to learning and memory. Provided the core relation amongst
exercise and energy metabolism, it is not unforeseen that modulation of energy related molecular
systems seems to be a leading tool in how exercise affects synaptic flexibility and cognition as well.
These discoveries complement with a budding course of studies, displaying that the metabolism of
energy at the cellular level is closely coupled with regulation of not only synaptic plasticity, but
neuronal excitability as well. Long story short, appropriate energy metabolism involving the
mitochondria is essential for harboring neuronal signaling events through the plasma membrane, and
exercise plays a fundamental role in facilitating these

Taking the oath of office in January of 1969, Nixon was thrown head first into a war that was
escalating quickly and, at the same time, infuriated many Americans who believed that it wasn t the
nation s job to be world police. Now holding the reigns of the country, he was stuck in a Vietnam
predicament his first decisions would be of utmost importance for the safety of our soldiers and for the
well being of the nation. Nixon had very few plausible options however. While a vocal sector of the
public was clamoring for immediate withdrawal of troops, he understood that its disadvantages were
too great not only would withdrawal compromise American credibility as a world power, he felt that it
would also undermine his ability to negotiate with foreign powers during the remainder of his term
(Bondi 237). Nuclear weapons were also not an alternative. We were still involved in the Cold War
with the USSR if we opted to nuclear weapons, not only would we most likely end up instigating a
World War III, we could not risk setting the precedent by using nuclear warfare to dictate world order
(Bondi 237). Nixon s last choice, attempting to persevere for a conventional military victory in
Vietnam, was a large risk to our

What Is The Primary Underlying Cause Of The Armenian...
I. The primary underlying cause of the Armenian genocide derived from the decline of the Ottoman
Empire towards the end of the 19th century, and was based on land dispute, religion, and ultra
nationalism. One of the main factors that led to the Armenian genocide is to be found in the mental
conditions and characteristics of Turkish National identity (Akçam, 2004, 59). The Armenians have
claimed their home in the southern Caucasus since 7th Century BCE. Throughout many centuries, the
Mongol, Persian, Russian, and Ottoman empires have fought over this region. Due to the Armenians
lack of unity and strength, they could not claim their lands any longer. They were weak in relation to
their conflicting neighbors, and were often deported from the very lands they first lived in. Constant
deportations over history eventually led them to many different parts of the world, forming what is the
Armenian diaspora. Ever since the 4th Century CE, the Armenian state claimed Christianity as their
official religion. Even after Islam was founded in the 7th century CE and became the state religion in
all of the countries surrounding Armenia, the Armenians still held onto the Christian faith. Since
Christianity was a religious minority at the time, Armenians were viewed as infidels , and were
disposed to unjust treatment as a result. They experienced hardship, religious persecution,
discrimination, and abuse. Armenians began to pay higher taxes and had very few political and legal

Planned Parenthood By Margaret Sanger
The first birth control clinic in the United States opened on October 16, 1916 by Margaret Sanger. Her
nonprofit organization is now known as Planned Parenthood. Sanger was not only an advocate for
women s reproductive rights, but also a vocal eugenic enthusiast. Her motives behind starting the
organization were to educate women about the reproductive process allowing them to choose when
and whether to bear children. Although Sanger supported the eugenics movement and sterilization, we
cannot forget about all of the men and women her organization helped and continues to help to this
day.
Growing up Sanger s father was an unstable man who was incapable of providing adequately for his
large family. Although a skilled craftsman, he was unable to properly care for his family because he
preferred drinking over earning a steady wage, while his 11 children suffered bitterly from privation.
Once Sanger grew older she fled her unhappy home in search for a better life. She attended college
and found it was not for her and later met her husband who she had 3 children with. Sanger detested
domestic life and neglected her children to the point that neighbors had to step in and care for them (
Margaret Sanger ). It is safe to say Sanger did not have it easy growing up. Living such a rough
childhood can be partial to blame for her eugenic views.
Sanger s upbringing may be the underlying cause for her support in the eugenic movement. She may
have felt her inability to care for her own

Questions On The Parenting Plan
Alvin,
I have some things that I would like to discuss with you, regarding the parenting plan. I recognize the
two of us have sort of have steered away from a few details and feel we need to get back on track.
EXCHANGE
Initially, when creating the parenting plan, the two of us agreed to meet half way for exchange since
you were living in Spring Hill, and I in Palm Harbor. This is why we chose the church. Since you
moved to New Port Richey a few months back, I have not suggested changing the location as I felt
comfortable meeting there. However, since your move, I understand you only live approximately 5
minutes away from the church; making it an exchange location no longer half way. After this past
Sunday, when I drove 30 minutes out of my way for the switch not to happen, I realized how unfair
that is to me. For this reason, I would like to change the exchange location to be closer to the middle
again. According to Google Maps there is slightly under 30 minutes drive (with no traffic) between
our addresses, therefore I feel a suitable meeting spot is at Publix in Tarpon Springs. This is still
further of a drive for me than for you, nevertheless I feel that it is an excellent location for a
comfortable swap. Please let me know if this is not plausible, thus an agreement can be made on this
matter.
I would even consider possibly the parent who is getting the children drives the full distance to pick
up, making meeting locations within 5 minutes of the home address (so for

The Concepts Of Contractionism By John Rawls And Political...
Abstract art steps back from reality to witness a world separate from the human experience. This
departure allows people to project their own meaning onto the piece. They all come from varying
backgrounds so their understandings of the art are all radically different. John Rawls attempts to apply
the same concepts of abstractionism into political philosophy to arrive at a set universal rules and
values. However, Rawls ultimately fails, giving rise to an either too limited or too vague theory of
justice. Rawls is not clear on how to access morality, who his theory applies to, and whether or not his
theory functions in reality.
Rawls acts to expand on the social contract making it more applicable to the needs of the least
advantaged. One of political philosophy s goals is for the government to find some underlying basis of
philosophical and moral agreement such that the citizens agree on its authority . He postulates the
current system of government, utilitarianism, is deeply flawed, because it allows for the continued
suffering of the most vulnerable in society as long as the majority benefits . Instead Rawls proposes
the veil of ignorance take its place. In this thought experiment, men are in the original position, in
which the parties do not know their conceptions of the good or their special psychological propensities
. He makes two general assumptions about human nature people are inherently self interested and they
are risk adverse. Thus, behind the veil, a

The Importance Of Poverty In Schools
Minorities could be scoring almost 15 points lower then non minority cohorts for multiple reasons,
which includes the following.
Poverty could be considered one of the obvious reasons for this gap in IQ scores for example, schools
in poverty stricken areas could receive less funding and opportunities for more money then schools in
areas that aren t affected by poverty. Less funding means less everything pretty much that a school
needs (books, computers that chance of having good staff to teach these kids). Without being given
some of these tools that schools need to succeed, could greatly affect the kids in it and obviously will
affect their intelligence level at some stage. I have some friends that are teachers, in the Bronx as well
as areas in Westchester like White Plains, etc. They could tell you first hand there are clear differences
in every aspect of a school in the south Bronx in comparison to a White Plains school district.
To be culturally biased is the phenomenon of interpreting and judging phenomena by standards

Love Me Tinder By Henrick Karoliszyn Essay
Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Instagram, Tinder all of these most likely sound a little familiar.
They are all social media sites that are easily accessible through our iPhones or Galaxies or any other
phone really. In the Emily Witt s essay Love Me Tinder , which is part of the bigger story as to how
Tinder came to be, along with some personal experiences of the people involved in the earlier
development of the application. The discussion centers around the ever changing motion of romantic
and social domains in response to online dating sites like Tinder, where people can get together for
regular hook ups or casual dates, among other things, without commitment or the complications of
things getting too serious. Witt wonders what this foreshadows for the human connection through the
online world where people are just constantly connecting, but at the same time, not really connecting
either. In Precognitive Police by Henrick Karoliszyn, he discusses a different and, in a lot of ways, the
more troubling consequences of computer technology in his essay, where crimes can be prevented
through various algorithms that can pinpoint criminals before they commit crimes, raising a countless
number of questions concerning the fourth amendment. But there is an issue an issue of us
dehumanizing each other. Nowadays, our first impressions of people become these online profiles of
them or files of them along with a history of them and the things they have done. These new

Driving Under Influences Laws
tougher because the rules are not enforced enough and are not doing their job. These people have
gotten their licenses taken away and do not even follow the rules afterwards. This piece of information
does not tell how many people are caught without their licenses but it is most likely true that there are
many drivers who get away freely from any cops knowing they are driving without a license. The next
point has to do with the leniency of the state s Driving Under Influences laws. More specifically,
South Dakota s laws. South Dakota s DUI penalties include no minimum jail time or fine for a first or
second offense, no administrative license suspension, and no ignition interlock requirement. It had the
number one fatality rate for 1995 to 2013, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first point in of topic is the issues with repeat offenders. Repeat offenders are an issue because in
the past, repeat DUI offenders might have been given minimal jail time or prohibition, along with
their driver s license being suspended. Sometimes, the punishment could include a certain amount of
community service. The NTSB, National Transportation Safety Board, has called for states to
eliminate community service as a punishment, in part because it keeps prosecutions of offenders
records and makes repeat offenses more likely. Treatment for alcohol abuse works in some but not all
cases. It is certainly worth trying, but in many cases repeat offenders are not interested in being
helped. They will go through a treatment program if it is required by law, but positive effects may be
short lived. These facts about the repeat offenders not wanting to go through treatment programs and
not being interested in being helped at all are a major key aspect of why we should have DUI laws that
are more strict than they are today because if they do not want any help like treatment for alcohol
abuse or go through a treatment program because then they are more likely to not help the community
around them in any way. If they were interested in getting helped, there may be a lower risk of car
crashes in that area. In the DUI laws were tougher there, they would probably not want to get in any
more car crashes because if they did, they would have to pay a higher fee and even do more
community work if those laws were implemented. If someone were to be caught driving under an
influence, your license could be banned like mentioned before and also could have your car taken
away temporarily. These things should teach a person a couple of lessons but if caught again, there
could be more of a punishment than before. If someone were to receive a second DUI offense in ten
years,

Autism Spectrum Disorder ( Asd )
What Is Autism? Autism Spectrum Disorder, (ASD) is a development disorder and affects the brains
normal development in social and communication skills. ASD is now defined as a single disorder and
includes disorders that were previously considered separate such as Childhood Disintegrative
Disorder, Asperger s Syndrome, and Persuasive Developmental Disorder not otherwise specified.
There is no exact cause of ASD, but scientists believe that a variety of factors both genetic and
environmental may play a role. Scientists believe that several genes are involved in the development
of ASD. There is a genetic susceptibility to ASD. This was initially determined by twin and other
family studies. Although many chromosomal and gene abnormalities have been associated with
symptoms of ASD, none of these are present in all affected children (Errol, 2014). Scientists believe
that some genetic problems seem to be inherited, while others happen randomly. Although genetics do
not fully explain the occurrence of ASD, researchers looked at the additional environmental causes
such as prenatal and perinatal factors, early toxin exposure, viral or bacterial infections, vaccinations,
and autoimmune concerns. Scientists are studying how environmental factors affect certain genes. By
studying how environmental factors affect genes, it provides many new ways to study how ASD
develops and changes over time. ASD affects a child s ability to interact and communicate with others.

Driving Habits Affect Your Transmission
How Your Driving Habits Affect Your Transmission
Believe it or not, how your drive your vehicle play a part in how long it last. Not only does it play a
part in the life span of your car but in the transmission its self. If a person is a smooth and attentive
driver there transmission is going to last ten times longer than someone who could care less. However,
they will be caring when their transmission breaks down due to their driving. Transmission repairs can
be costly. That alone is a good reason to be a better driver. In this post you will learn a few different
driving habits to prevent in order to keep your transmission and car in top running condition.
Excessive Speeding
Not only is speeding against the law and dangerous to other, but it is also very hard on your
transmission. When you are speeding your transmission is working double time in order to provide so
much power to your wheels. There is a difference in speeding and doing high speeds on the highway.
When you are on the highway you stay at a steady speed without excessive accelerating. When you
sand speeding in and out of traffic you never know when you will have to slow down and speed up.
this causes your transmission to work more than necessary and can shorten the transmission s life
span. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Little do they know that this is not a requirement and it is harming the transmission more than it is
helping. Downshifting is when the driver shifts into a lower gear to slow the vehicle. This bad driving
habit can cause the gears to grind and eventually wear down causing them to need to be replaced.
Downshifting causes major strain and damage to the transmission and shorten the life span of the
transmission dramatically.

Adam Eve Monologue
Adam glowered at me, with his eyes full of fear, despair, and hopelessness and asked, Why did you let
me eat the fruit, Eve? How will we live? I have never felt so empty and lost as I tried to come up with
an answer. I tried the best I could to plead for mercy; for this was not my intention. At first, I was in
shock to learn that we were both naked; and all I knew was that was bad. Adam, the snake! He told me
our eyes would be open and we would know good and evil! Aren t you curious, Adam?
No! You have destroyed everything, Eve. What made you so curious?
The snake claimed we will be all knowing just like God; and that I should eat the fruit without fear. I
was only trying to do what would be best for you!

This was the first time I have ever witnessed Adam upset.
However, a concept and question haunted my mind. Why exactly did Adam eat the fruit? The deceitful
snake lied to me, so I took the fruit; yet, I did not lie to Adam about the fruit. Instead of guilt and
sadness, I finally felt angry. I was angry that Adam had put all the blame on me, as well as let me
blame myself! We were supposed to be one, yet I felt so alone and detached. The thick darkness
settled slowly in between Adam and I, turning his once, clear, bright, beautiful body into nothing but a
shadow of a wretched silhouette. I could tell time was passing, for I grew cold, hungry, and tired. As
Adam lied on the ground as good as dead, I broke down in despair and anger crying out to God for
any sign of pity.
Just when I started to lose all hope, our forgiving and merciful savior came to us in the cave. I was in a
state of disbelief, for I thought we were not deserving of such an honor. God fed us, clothed us, and
comforted us. Although our Lord came in peace, he also brought his word. He explained each new sin

One of my styles that was identified on the LSI survey that works against me is my drive to do my

Acupuncture Vs Moxibustion
The combinations of Chinese acupuncture and moxibustion have long been used as a medicinal
therapy for a variety of health conditions. During the past decade, the practice has been introduced

triggers the nervous system, while moxibustion initiates the circulatory and immune systems of the

Rhetorical Analysis: Banksy
Religious imagery is something that can be found in artwork all through the centuries. An anonymous
world renowned graffiti artist who goes by Banksy places traditional paintings in public places altered
to send an iconoclastic message about society and government. In this image he depicts a traditional
figure of Jesus dying on the cross, but in his hands can be found shopping bags full of presents and
candy. Jesus, an iconic figure in religious history, has been turned into a puppet to fit the mold of our
consumer driven society. The rhetor presents an iconoclastic view that the integral commemoration of
Jesus death and the religious aspects ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Its entire scope wanes away until soon enough, any salvation God intended Jesus death to bestow
upon the people will be lost while consumerism and monetary concernment will take control. The
ways Banksy uses this skewed image of Jesus on the cross suggests that he believes society needs to
break away from strongly valuing consumerism the way it does currently. The rhetor utilizes this
image to depict what he believes society has become, and how drastically different it is from what
God envisioned. In this particular image, Banksy has included Jesus to further depict his anti
consumerism views, believing that Jesus never intended Christians to value tangible objects. The
rhetor gains support because he is not attacking society as a whole or blaming anyone in particular. By
including Jesus in a sense he is defending religion whom so many regard so highly. By defining his
position as defensive of God rather than attacking what society has become people are forced to re
evaluate what they value most. The rhetor s suggested stance on the issue and the way he presents the
controversial religious topic rallies support and acknowledgment of society s faults rather than denial
and outrage. The nature of Banksy s work is iconoclastic in the way he blatantly designs images to
rebel governmental authority or depict the failings of

The Unbelievable, Unethical CIA Mind Control Experiments
The Unbelievable, Unethical CIA Mind Control Experiments
The CIA s, the Central Intelligence Agency, duty is to provide national intelligence to U.S President
and officials. The CIA created a top secret experiment to try and control people s mind. According to
the CIA s file, MK ULTRA/Mind Control Experiments , which started in 1953 and continued to 1964.
The main goal for this project was to to brainwash people and reprogram their minds. At first, the CIA
denied of doing such thing, but later on admitted that they have done mind control experiments on
nonvoluntary people. Although, they said that they have stopped completely since then. If the CIA has
done brutal experiments like MK Ultra, what other experiments have they done on people without
their consents? Are we sure that the CIA discontinued with MK Ultra like they said? The CIA used
LSD to brainwash people, which has disastrous effects on people s health. This experiment was truly
wrong, unnecessary, and unconstitutional.
The CIA were influenced by other countries to experiment on brainwashing people but resulted in the
agency to making unethical decisions. In the article, Project Mkultra: One of the Most Shocking CIA
Programs of All Time , Melissa explains that, The motivation was also defensive, in that many were
afraid during the Cold War that the Russians and Chinese had already developed weapons in this area.
The CIA realized that this technique could possibly be very beneficial towards our country, and
wanted to understand this process before other countries. With this tactic, the CIA thought they could
use brainwashing to their advantage and also create manchurian candidates. In the article, The Secret
Montreal Experiments They Don t Want You To Know About, D Alimonte defines Manchurian
Candidate as, double agents, or super soldiers, who had been psychologically altered to fulfill a
function, then forget it ever happened, thus making interrogation impossible. The CIA wanted to
create Manchurian Candidates so they could do all of their dirty work. It is truly wrong how the CIA
thought that committing crimes or doing illegal tasks using Manchurian Candidates was perfectly
okay. According to the Youtube video, MK ULTRA (History Channel

Federalism And The Separation Of Powers
Federalism is a way of organizing a nation so that two or more levels of government have formal
authority over the same area and people, ensuring that one does not become too powerful and aids in
the separation of powers. Liberty is a state of freedom within a society from oppressive restrictions
imposed by authority on one s way of life, behavior, or political views. Although these two political
science terms are different, they correlate and interact with one another in the American Government
and are still relevant to contemporary policy issues faced today. James Madison s The Federalist No.
47 doctrine exemplifies this: In order to form correct ideas on this important subject, it will be proper
to investigate the sense in which the preservation of liberty requires that the three great departments of
power should be separate and distinct.
Madison based the concept of federalism on the French lawyer Montesquieu s theory of the separation
of powers. This theory states: Were the executive power not to have a right of restraining the
encroachments of the legislative body, the latter would become despotic; for as it might arrogate to
itself what authority it pleased, it would soon destroy all the other powers. Madison, along with the
other Founding Fathers, took heed to this warning and created the three branches (executive,
legislative, and judicial). Although this system does provide a distinct separation, it does not call for
absolute separation. Instead, the

  • 2. Comparing Duchess Of Malfi And Midsummer Night s Dream In the plays, The Duchess of Malfi by John Webster and Midsummer Night s Dream by William Shakespeare, the main female characters can be put together from either story for easy comparison. The Duchess and Cariola, from The Duchess of Malfi, can be compared to Hermia and Helena, from a Midsummer Night s Dream, respectively as they serve as foils, even though they appear in different plays. The reaction they have towards authority creates this comparison as they act similarly to each other when it turns against them. The Duchess and Hermia, both devious and defiant, attempts to escape their problems, as others treat Cariola and Helena poorly and cannot deal with the problems when times get tough. The Duchess and Hermia are torn away from their new lovers, and they both take similar action to resolve their problems. Widowed in early age, the Duchess, a strong willed, loving wife and mother, loses her bond in love but quickly finds love again. She finds Antonio, but her brothers demand her not to continue; therefore she runs away. Hermia, a passionate woman with a strong will to love the one she cannot, gets restricted from love due to her father s strong will and law. The Duchess, in secret, does what she wants with Antonio by hastily marrying him, and having three children. Hermia, with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Comparing The Haywain And Hell By Hieronymus Bosch Hieronymus Bosch, born Jheronimus Van, was a Dutch painter during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries who is renowned for his use of surrealism, and often morbid detail, to convey his interpretations of religion as it pertained to the society he lived in. Little is known of his personal life and, in fact, many of the works attributed to him can not actually be proven to be his original work. Although Bosch could be compared to other well known surrealist painters such as Salvador Dali, he is primarily known for his use of triptych and fantastic attention to detail that gives him his own unique, recognizable and strange style. His most famous works include The Garden of Earthly Delights, The Haywain and Hell, and all serve as somewhat of a social commentary and personal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In essence, The Garden of Earthly Delights, perhaps the most famous of his works, consists of three individual panes in a triptych that tell the story of mankind s evolution from the beginning in the Garden of Eden and shows society s downfall and eventual path to Hell. The Haywain and Hell are lesser known but both similarly illustrate various aspects of Bosch s viewpoint regarding human sin and the ultimate result of such sin. Bosch is certainly a very unique and fascinating artist and this paper will discuss the detail and potential meanings of the works previously mentioned, their relevance to the world at the time of their creation and their continued relevance throughout history. As discussed in the introduction, The Garden of Earthly Delights is the most well known and most likely the most interesting and significant of Bosch s works. The first panel of the triptych depicts and Adam and Eve standing with Jesus in the Garden of Eden. This illustrates man s original purity but, because of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. John Piper Research Paper Distinguished pastor and scholar John Piper wrote that there are two types of missionaries in the world today Timothy like and Paul like missionaries. Timothy left his home in Lystra and joined the apostle Paul during his second missionary journey. He crossed different Mediterranean cultures and eventually became the overseer of the church in Ephesus. He served as a resident missionary in that renowned city away from home. On the other hand, the apostle Paul was an itinerant evangelist or a frontier missionary, who went about preaching the gospel and establishing churches in different places. His aim, as he categorically stated, was to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named (Rom. 15:20). By this criterion, Pastor P.T. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Gender Is A Fundamental Piece Of Society s Structure Gender has been thought of to be a part of the human condition, that it is a part of nature and as creatures of nature, it is inherently fixed within us. This idea has led many to believe that there only one way to experience gender that follows the law of nature. The natural way is to be a masculine male, or a feminine female, to form romantic and sexual relationships with the opposite sex, and to perform the way that is expected of their sex. The belief in this innate male female dichotomy is a fundamental piece of society s structure. Infants are gendered the second they are born, and throughout their lives they are guided and beat into the path chosen for them. Every detail of their everyday life is scripted for them and whenever they fail to deliver a line or make the specific move in that script, they are reprimanded and made to repeat it and repeat it until it is learned. The script is repeated so often that the role becomes alive within them until they have immersed themselves so deeply into the role that they completely embody it. Obviously the fact that gender normativity has to be ingrained into individuals since infancy negates the idea of it being innate. However, society still insists on continuing and implementing this idea onto everyone even though it is built on a flawed and weak foundation. The false belief that gender is inherent within us is not even the only flaw; there are so many people that do not fall within the natural way of experiencing gender ... • 6. Ford Heights Essay Once referred to as the poorest suburb in America, the community has taken many steps to strengthen its future. In 1987, the village changed its name to Ford Heights. Ford Heights, formerly East Chicago Heights is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Ford Heights was first settled in the late 1840s. It served as a stopping point on the Underground Railroad for runaway slaves fleeing to freedom. By the early 20th century, the area had developed into an agricultural community of farms operated mostly by Polish, Lithuanian, and Italians. After World War I, Blacks from the Southern U.S. migrated to the area and worked on the farms. After 1920, more residents came to live on newly subdivided land called the Park Addition on a farm road from Chicago Heights to Indiana. In 1924, the main east west road became a two lane concrete highway designated as U.S. Route 30 in 1926, later known as the transcontinental Lincoln Highway. Early settlers included the family of Alberta Armstrong. She and others organized black and white women to raise funds for a fire truck, and by 1948, this group became the East Chicago Heights Citizens Association. In 1949, East Chicago Heights ... • 8. The Importance Of A Successful Communication Plan Communication plays a critical role on making sure the correct people will receive the information, what information will be communicated, how it will be communicated, how often, and who will be responsible for delivering the message during a project. All communication plans will be according to the needs of the project. Establishing a successful communication plan is one of the most important factors contributing to a successful project (CA.gov, 2007). When looking at the project communication plans from several organizations such as the Department of Agriculture (USDA), the City of Scottsdale, and the Park Development and Acquisition we can see some similarities and differences on how their plans are developed. Some are more extensive and detailed, and some are concise and to the point. Many of these differences are due to the need of the projects and who is involved. Out of the three communication plans, the USDA is the shortest and least detailed. The USDA plan does not include a table of content, making it more difficult for the reader to find needed information quickly. Both of the other plans, City of Scottsdale and Seattle Parks and Recreation, start their communication plan using a table of contents, making it easier for the reader. The plan from the Seattle Parks and Recreation is the most extensive and detailed due to the complexity of the project and length of it, with thirty seven pages in length, while the other two are under nine pages. • 10. The Brain s Catalyst Paper Exercise: The Brain s Catalyst An increasing body of evidence verifies the influence of exercise on energy and function of the central nervous system (CNS) and how it can even help against neurological disorders. According to these studies and reports, exercise has the astonishing ability to boost mental health, and modern efforts are being dedicated to use this capability to reduce cognitive degeneration in aging and psychiatric illnesses. In this paper, recent studies are examined in humans and animals demonstrating the ability of exercise to uphold cognitive health across a lifespan. Accompanied with the goal to develop a complete explanation of how the effects of exercise in the brain correlates to the results provided from human studies. These discoveries complement with a budding course of studies, displaying that the metabolism of energy at the cellular level is closely coupled with regulation of not only synaptic plasticity, but neuronal excitability as well. Long story short, appropriate energy metabolism involving the mitochondria is essential for harboring neuronal signaling events through the plasma membrane, and exercise plays a fundamental role in facilitating these ... Taking the oath of office in January of 1969, Nixon was thrown head first into a war that was escalating quickly and, at the same time, infuriated many Americans who believed that it wasn t the nation s job to be world police. Now holding the reigns of the country, he was stuck in a Vietnam predicament his first decisions would be of utmost importance for the safety of our soldiers and for the well being of the nation. Nixon had very few plausible options however. While a vocal sector of the public was clamoring for immediate withdrawal of troops, he understood that its disadvantages were too great not only would withdrawal compromise American credibility as a world power, he felt that it would also undermine his ability to negotiate with foreign powers during the remainder of his term (Bondi 237). Nuclear weapons were also not an alternative. We were still involved in the Cold War with the USSR if we opted to nuclear weapons, not only would we most likely end up instigating a World War III, we could not risk setting the precedent by using nuclear warfare to dictate world order (Bondi 237). • 18. What Is The Primary Underlying Cause Of The Armenian... I. The primary underlying cause of the Armenian genocide derived from the decline of the Ottoman Empire towards the end of the 19th century, and was based on land dispute, religion, and ultra nationalism. One of the main factors that led to the Armenian genocide is to be found in the mental conditions and characteristics of Turkish National identity (Akçam, 2004, 59). The Armenians have claimed their home in the southern Caucasus since 7th Century BCE. Throughout many centuries, the Mongol, Persian, Russian, and Ottoman empires have fought over this region. Due to the Armenians lack of unity and strength, they could not claim their lands any longer. They were weak in relation to their conflicting neighbors, and were often deported from the very lands they first lived in. Constant deportations over history eventually led them to many different parts of the world, forming what is the Armenian diaspora. Ever since the 4th Century CE, the Armenian state claimed Christianity as their official religion. Even after Islam was founded in the 7th century CE and became the state religion in all of the countries surrounding Armenia, the Armenians still held onto the Christian faith. • 19. Planned Parenthood By Margaret Sanger The first birth control clinic in the United States opened on October 16, 1916 by Margaret Sanger. Her nonprofit organization is now known as Planned Parenthood. Sanger was not only an advocate for women s reproductive rights, but also a vocal eugenic enthusiast. Her motives behind starting the organization were to educate women about the reproductive process allowing them to choose when and whether to bear children. Although Sanger supported the eugenics movement and sterilization, we cannot forget about all of the men and women her organization helped and continues to help to this day. Growing up Sanger s father was an unstable man who was incapable of providing adequately for his large family. Although a skilled craftsman, he was unable to properly care for his family because he preferred drinking over earning a steady wage, while his 11 children suffered bitterly from privation. Once Sanger grew older she fled her unhappy home in search for a better life. She attended college and found it was not for her and later met her husband who she had 3 children with. Sanger detested domestic life and neglected her children to the point that neighbors had to step in and care for them ( Margaret Sanger ). It is safe to say Sanger did not have it easy growing up. Living such a rough childhood can be partial to blame for her eugenic views. Sanger s upbringing may be the underlying cause for her support in the eugenic movement. • 20. Questions On The Parenting Plan Alvin, I have some things that I would like to discuss with you, regarding the parenting plan. I recognize the two of us have sort of have steered away from a few details and feel we need to get back on track. EXCHANGE Initially, when creating the parenting plan, the two of us agreed to meet half way for exchange since you were living in Spring Hill, and I in Palm Harbor. This is why we chose the church. Since you moved to New Port Richey a few months back, I have not suggested changing the location as I felt comfortable meeting there. However, since your move, I understand you only live approximately 5 minutes away from the church; making it an exchange location no longer half way. After this past Sunday, when I drove 30 minutes out of my way for the switch not to happen, I realized how unfair that is to me. For this reason, I would like to change the exchange location to be closer to the middle again. According to Google Maps there is slightly under 30 minutes drive (with no traffic) between our addresses, therefore I feel a suitable meeting spot is at Publix in Tarpon Springs. This is still further of a drive for me than for you, nevertheless I feel that it is an excellent location for a comfortable swap. Please let me know if this is not plausible, thus an agreement can be made on this matter. I would even consider possibly the parent who is getting the children drives the full distance to pick up, making meeting locations within 5 minutes of the home address (so for ... • 21. The Concepts Of Contractionism By John Rawls And Political... Abstract art steps back from reality to witness a world separate from the human experience. This departure allows people to project their own meaning onto the piece. They all come from varying backgrounds so their understandings of the art are all radically different. John Rawls attempts to apply the same concepts of abstractionism into political philosophy to arrive at a set universal rules and values. However, Rawls ultimately fails, giving rise to an either too limited or too vague theory of justice. Rawls is not clear on how to access morality, who his theory applies to, and whether or not his theory functions in reality. Rawls acts to expand on the social contract making it more applicable to the needs of the least advantaged. One of political philosophy s goals is for the government to find some underlying basis of philosophical and moral agreement such that the citizens agree on its authority . He postulates the current system of government, utilitarianism, is deeply flawed, because it allows for the continued suffering of the most vulnerable in society as long as the majority benefits . Instead Rawls proposes the veil of ignorance take its place. In this thought experiment, men are in the original position, in which the parties do not know their conceptions of the good or their special psychological propensities . He makes two general assumptions about human nature people are inherently self interested and they are risk adverse. Thus, behind the veil, a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. The Importance Of Poverty In Schools Minorities could be scoring almost 15 points lower then non minority cohorts for multiple reasons, which includes the following. Poverty could be considered one of the obvious reasons for this gap in IQ scores for example, schools in poverty stricken areas could receive less funding and opportunities for more money then schools in areas that aren t affected by poverty. Less funding means less everything pretty much that a school needs (books, computers that chance of having good staff to teach these kids). Without being given some of these tools that schools need to succeed, could greatly affect the kids in it and obviously will affect their intelligence level at some stage. I have some friends that are teachers, in the Bronx as well as areas in Westchester like White Plains, etc. They could tell you first hand there are clear differences in every aspect of a school in the south Bronx in comparison to a White Plains school district. To be culturally biased is the phenomenon of interpreting and judging phenomena by standards inherent to one s own culture. In regards to this specific testing, one would assume that just because one is a minority and could possibly live in a poverty stricken neighborhood that they might automatically already be considered to have a low IQ, which is not always the case. After looking through the WISC IV, there are most certainly aspects of it that could be culturally biased. For example, the Vocab section can be easily seen as a grey ... They are all social media sites that are easily accessible through our iPhones or Galaxies or any other phone really. In the Emily Witt s essay Love Me Tinder , which is part of the bigger story as to how Tinder came to be, along with some personal experiences of the people involved in the earlier development of the application. The discussion centers around the ever changing motion of romantic and social domains in response to online dating sites like Tinder, where people can get together for regular hook ups or casual dates, among other things, without commitment or the complications of things getting too serious. Witt wonders what this foreshadows for the human connection through the online world where people are just constantly connecting, but at the same time, not really connecting either. In Precognitive Police by Henrick Karoliszyn, he discusses a different and, in a lot of ways, the more troubling consequences of computer technology in his essay, where crimes can be prevented through various algorithms that can pinpoint criminals before they commit crimes, raising a countless number of questions concerning the fourth amendment. But there is an issue an issue of us dehumanizing each other. This piece of information does not tell how many people are caught without their licenses but it is most likely true that there are many drivers who get away freely from any cops knowing they are driving without a license. The next point has to do with the leniency of the state s Driving Under Influences laws. More specifically, South Dakota s laws. Repeat offenders are an issue because in the past, repeat DUI offenders might have been given minimal jail time or prohibition, along with their driver s license being suspended. Sometimes, the punishment could include a certain amount of community service. The NTSB, National Transportation Safety Board, has called for states to eliminate community service as a punishment, in part because it keeps prosecutions of offenders records and makes repeat offenses more likely. Treatment for alcohol abuse works in some but not all cases. It is certainly worth trying, but in many cases repeat offenders are not interested in being helped. They will go through a treatment program if it is required by law, but positive effects may be short lived. These facts about the repeat offenders not wanting to go through treatment programs and not being interested in being helped at all are a major key aspect of why we should have DUI laws that are more strict than they are today because if they do not want any help like treatment for alcohol abuse or go through a treatment program because then they are more likely to not help the community around them in any way. If they were interested in getting helped, there may be a lower risk of car crashes in that area. In the DUI laws were tougher there, they would probably not want to get in any more car crashes because if they did, they would have to pay a higher fee and even do more community work if those laws were implemented. If someone were to be caught driving under an influence, your license could be banned like mentioned before and also could have your car taken away temporarily. These things should teach a person a couple of lessons but if caught again, there could be more of a punishment than before. If someone were to receive a second DUI offense in ten years, ... ASD is now defined as a single disorder and includes disorders that were previously considered separate such as Childhood Disintegrative Disorder, Asperger s Syndrome, and Persuasive Developmental Disorder not otherwise specified. There is no exact cause of ASD, but scientists believe that a variety of factors both genetic and environmental may play a role. Scientists believe that several genes are involved in the development of ASD. There is a genetic susceptibility to ASD. This was initially determined by twin and other family studies. Although many chromosomal and gene abnormalities have been associated with symptoms of ASD, none of these are present in all affected children (Errol, 2014). Scientists believe that some genetic problems seem to be inherited, while others happen randomly. Although genetics do not fully explain the occurrence of ASD, researchers looked at the additional environmental causes such as prenatal and perinatal factors, early toxin exposure, viral or bacterial infections, vaccinations, and autoimmune concerns. Scientists are studying how environmental factors affect certain genes. By studying how environmental factors affect genes, it provides many new ways to study how ASD develops and changes over time. The rhetor utilizes this image to depict what he believes society has become, and how drastically different it is from what God envisioned. In this particular image, Banksy has included Jesus to further depict his anti consumerism views, believing that Jesus never intended Christians to value tangible objects. The rhetor gains support because he is not attacking society as a whole or blaming anyone in particular. By including Jesus in a sense he is defending religion whom so many regard so highly. By defining his position as defensive of God rather than attacking what society has become people are forced to re evaluate what they value most. Federalism And The Separation Of Powers Federalism is a way of organizing a nation so that two or more levels of government have formal authority over the same area and people, ensuring that one does not become too powerful and aids in the separation of powers. Liberty is a state of freedom within a society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one s way of life, behavior, or political views. Although these two political science terms are different, they correlate and interact with one another in the American Government and are still relevant to contemporary policy issues faced today. James Madison s The Federalist No. 47 doctrine exemplifies this: In order to form correct ideas on this important subject, it will be proper to investigate the sense in which the preservation of liberty requires that the three great departments of power should be separate and distinct. Madison based the concept of federalism on the French lawyer Montesquieu s theory of the separation of powers. This theory states: Were the executive power not to have a right of restraining the encroachments of the legislative body, the latter would become despotic; for as it might arrogate to itself what authority it pleased, it would soon destroy all the other powers.
