Reflective Essay About Rap
I caused myself to miss out on a possible great experience with music. Since the start of 2016, a new
rap era called Mumble Rap caused a spur of people to spew their dislike of rappers who predominately
used adlibs in their songs along with extremely low rapping ability. Well known mumble rappers are:
Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Famous Dex, Kodak Black, and Desiigner. I joined this wave of
not liking mumble rap to make myself seem better and more knowledgeable to this who listen to
mumble rap. I would always say that I only listen to lyrical people, except for Lil Wayne or Mumble
rappers are trash and I do not like that . You will usually see me criticizing people who listen to this
new music because I felt as though the music was poisoning to our minds. Contrary to what I was
saying, these were not my true feelings. The only reason I said these things was because I followed the
thoughts and opinion of the much older people of the hip hop audience. I wanted to be all high and
mighty as those individuals and show that I too also enjoyed the rap era from the 1990s to early 2013.
Although I preached about how bad this new rap era is and the kind of music I listen to, no one
pictured me how I pictured me. I began to notice more and more often, so I began to feel less dislike
for the new rap and eventually not care if it is played around me. I would here one of the mumble
rapper s song on the radio and I would find myself liking it. If I am by myself, I would look

Flagstaff Arizona Mental Health Assignment
Introduction I thought a lot about this assignment. It was important, to me, that I gathered information
that would be applicable for the clients I will serve as a social worker. Here in Flagstaff Arizona, we
are fortunate to live in a community which celebrates cultural diversity. Flagstaff is home to a large
Latino, Diné and Hopi population. I wanted to critique a mental health assessment that I felt would be
culturally sensitive, appropriate and address the needs of these populations. Having said that, I
analyzed this intake form in terms of its usability for a variety of different cultures and populations. I
also aimed to assess the intake form in relation to sexual orientation and issues around gender identity.
The hope being that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I do not think there is always sufficient space to answer questions completely. For example, within the
Family Background and Childhood History section, there are questions asking the client to describe
their relationship with both their father and mother. Only one and one half lines are provided for this
response. A bit more space might encourage a better understanding of client concerns. I understand the
intake is intended to be brief but additional client explanation would be helpful. Should the intake be
re formatted so it is easier to read? Why? In general, the intake form is formatted thoughtfully. My
suggestion would be to expand certain areas, include a few more questions and provide a bit more
space between topic areas. One aspect I really appreciated was on the final page where space is
provided for the client to add any additional areas of concern. I reviewed quite a few intake forms for
this assignment and found very few that incorporated this aspect. What would you include? What
would you remove? Why? I do not feel there is anything I would remove but there is content I would
include. For example, in the beginning of the intake, a demographic section would be helpful.
Addition of this section would give the clinician further insight into the clients cultural systems.

1. What are Gilcrist s responsibilities to the company? To the employees who might resent her sudden
appearance? To Boswell?
Gilcrist s position is a walk in president of the company due to Gunerson s death intervened. Now
Gilcrist must learn the business in a fast pace and keep it running without Gunerson s advice. She can
expect some skepticism from her employees because that s what usually happens when change occurs.
Her employees will watch her every move to grade if she s capable of handling the task as president.

She must communicate with all managers and Board of Director through several conference meetings

to discuss future plans and actions. Gilcrist ask that each associate please be patient during this initial
stage, and to make all of you aware that some meetings and tasks will be delegated to appropriate
personnel as needed.
6. What risks does Gilcrist face? What painful decisions should she make?
The industry is in the sinking market as sales are declining for the last two years. Gilcrist must avoid
re establishing the company in a sinking market, but to make innovation and change. She should
invest her marketing budget into the power boat segment of the industry and expand the company or
even move the company to a different location. The challenge for Gilcrist will be to stimulate
employee creativity and tolerance for change due to her new directorship as president.
7. Should she immediately move to make the company more market oriented? How?
Yes, the move would be a wise choice if Yellowtail is having problems complying with regulations.
Saggitarious has been very successful and is interested in selling the company to Yellowtail for $250,

Effects of Advertising Essay
Every day, the average person watches three hours of television, reads between five to ten magazines
or newspapers, and listens to the radio for five hours (WOW). While doing this, a part of what he
experiences are advertisements that come on at an average of every ten minutes. These advertisements
are usually used to persuade the costumer to buy something. They also might be used for the listener
to do something that the advertisement is asking. Sometimes these advertisements can be hidden
messages between or in television programs. This paper is a serious investigation in educating the
reader about the effects of advertisement. This investigation will include looking at how advertising
began, the actual purpose of advertisement, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This printing press idea quickly spread throughout Europe and later to the Americas (YouHis2).
Afterwards, around the 1700s, when the use of newspapers began to be an everyday publication,
advertisements started being printed in them, even if the advertisements were simple at the time.
Newspapers became the first medium to be conquered by advertisement. In 1721, Benjamin Franklin
founded the Pennsylvania Gazette, the second newspaper made in the Americas. What was special
about it is that it had pictures accompanying the ads to help the people understand better their product,
which was the difference with his close relative, The Boston Gazette, which had pictureless ads
(YouHis3). Since the eighteenth century, most newspapers have relied on advertisements for part of
their profit, and they have been developing advertising bit by bit.
Following the example of the newspapers, radio programming began using advertisements. These
advertisements were very slow and repetitive sonnets that companies used to get people to know their
products. These advertisements started in the late 1800s, with their lengths being fairly short. They
never extended past a minute. To compensate for the brevity of the ads, companies would repeat the
same ad many times between radio programs.
Then, the invention of television came along. Advertisements on television captivated everyone s

Comparison Of Socrates And The Ox-Bow Incident
The book The Trial and Death of Socrates and the movie The Ox Bow Incident were stories that
resulted in the death of the innocent. In The Trial and Death of Socrates, Socrates is sentenced to death
on the charge of corrupting the youth by a democratic trial. This took place in 399 BC in Athens. This
is an account of the philosopher s death written by his student, Plato. In The Ox Bow Incident, three
men are hanged by a mob for the murder of a man. The story takes place in the American West during
the 1940s. The film was directed by William A. Wellman. In both these tragedies there is an unfair
judgement by a mob, the innocent failing to persuade their accusers of their innocence, and the force
of peer pressure. The biggest similarity between the Ox bow three and Socrates is that ... Show more

Socrates was poisoned and the others were hanged. This wasn t the result of poor persuasion, but their
efforts did both fail. The men failed because the mob didn t want to consider that the men could
possibly be innocent. The majority of both mobs refused to look over any evidence that proved the
men were not guilty. Socrates was a known trouble maker, but he did not hurt anyone. The worst
Socrates did was annoy the officials, and this resulted in the ending of his life. He stood up in front of
the crowd and explained exactly why he shouldn t receive the death penalty, but the majority of them
did not pay attention to his reasoning. Ignoring the evidence was easier at Ox Bow. There was
evidence against them. They had the man s gun, the man s cattle with no bill of sell, a motive of cow
rustling, and they didn t have an alibi. With all this evidence, it was extremely easy to overlook the
fact that they didn t know that the man was dead. They acted on the words of someone who thought he
had heard someone say that the man had been murdered in a ditch. The messenger had probably heard
that the man had been shot and assumed that meant he was

The Atomic Bomb Of The United States
In 1939, when it was discovered that Germany had the technology to produce a weapon of mass
destruction, the United States was determined that they would not fall trap to the Nazi s reign. World
renowned scientists gathered together and by 1941, the secret project to produce an atomic bomb was
given the code name the Manhattan Project. Nobody expected this weapon to be so powerful, but this
secret weapon had a lasting impact that changed the course of history. The Manhattan Project was
ultimately responsible for the accomplishment of separating a uranium atom, which resulted in a
weapon of mass destruction known as the atomic bomb. This secret project ultimately ended the
Second World War, issued in the nuclear age, and changed the way wars were fought. Interestingly, the
initiation of the Manhattan project can be attributed to two United States immigrants. Just after World
War II had begun, Albert Einstein, who had fled Nazi Germany, and Enrico Fermi, who had fled from
Italy, had come together and decided that the president must be warned of the fact that Germany had
the power to create an atomic weapon. At first, Roosevelt did not see the importance of this project,
and only allotted $6,000 for research. However, when the war with the Axis powers grew, fear also
grew, and the budget for the Manhattan project was ultimately enlarged to $2 billion dollars.
Eventually, Roosevelt established the Advisory Committee on Uranium and the National Defense
Research Committee. At

Pynchon’s Vision of America in The Crying of Lot 49 Essay
First published in 1965, The Crying of Lot 49 is the second novel by American author Thomas
Pynchon. The novel follows Oedipa Mass, a young Californian housewife, after she unexpectedly
finds herself named the executrix of the estate of Californian real estate mogul, and ex boyfriend,
Pierce Inverarity. In reflecting on their history together, Oedipa recalls how her travels with Pierce
helped her acknowledge, but not overcome, the poignant feeling that she was being held paralyzed and
isolated from the world (and others) within a staid, middle class existence by some invisible and
nefarious external force. Moreover Oedipa struggles to understand why Pierce would name her the
executor of his will considering her deep ignorance of finance, ... Show more content on

To assess this vision of an American society heading towards stasis developed in The Crying of Lot
49, one must first discuss the concept of entropy.
Broadly speaking, entropy refers both to the level of disorder and uncertainty in a system. The concept
originates from thermodynamics, where it is used to describe the thermal energy in heat engine that is
unavailable to be converted into work (i.e. transferred through a change in form or location). The
second law of thermodynamics stipulates that within a self contained system like a heat engine, the
aggregate measure of entropy must remain the same or increase over time because with no external
energy inputs, the system s net energy flow gradually subsides as the gaps between its higher and
lower energy particles decrease through the transfer of heat as they interact. This diminishing gap
between particle energy levels, denoted in part by a stabilization in temperature and phase state (e.g.
solid, liquid, or gas), reflects the system s progression towards a state of thermodynamic equilibrium,
or maximum entropy, where particles regress into towards a uniform set of characteristics and
inertness as the net energy flow grows infinitesimal. In moving towards equilibrium the system also
becomes increasingly disordered because in losing their distinctiveness particles become fungible,
rendering attempts to impose order and coherence on the system by drawing relations and distinctions

Discuss The Role Of Honduan Workers In Honduras
In my point of view Nike was responsible for compensating the workers in Honduras because of
corporate social responsibility. Nike should be socially responsible to do the right thing before their
corporation decided to closed down their factories in Honduras. The right thing such as established
proper procedure for employees benefits for post employment, implement appropriate compensation,
and set up a wide operational meeting in helping the employees understand the reasons of the closure.
The change of stance was the effect of several Universities to canceled its sports apparel contract with
Nike. Universities believed that Nike should take responsibilities for the Honduran workers who lost
their job. In addition, the reason of why Universities decided to cancelled their contract with Nike was
the compelled facts against the labor rights violations in closing down the factories in Honduras last
January of 2010. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The two people holding hands: Represents the friendship of Sebastian and Antonio.
Restricted sign: Represents women who have less rights than men and people who don t have a right

However, in many places in the world right now and in Shakespeare s time, not everyone had this
right and were restricted to speak their mind. Except Feste the clown. In Twelfth Night, we can see
that the only position that isn t high ranking and were allowed to say what they wanted was a jester
(fool). For example, while talking to Olivia, he says The more fool, madonna, to mourn for your
brother s soul being in heaven. Take the fool away, gentlemen, which means he is saying that Olivia is
stupid for mourning for her brother, something a normal citizen at the time wouldn t have been able to
say. From this, is it clear that he uses his profession as a figurative mask to excuse a lot of what he
says. Although Feste is a clown, he is one of Shakespeare s ironies meaning that he is very intelligent
on the inside, thus a lot of what he says is true. This relates to the Essential Question because many
people in real life do/did not have this basic human right. For example, in World War II, the Nazi s
restricted the Jews to have rights and wanted to rid the entire race. The only way the Jews could
protect themselves is to disguise themselves as another race. This helped the Jews gain rights of
speech and many

Without question, all of these things are an essential part of what makes Trader Joe s such a thriving
retailer when much larger chains are struggling to survive. But there s a saying in retail circles that the
last 100 feet are the hardest. Every effort can be made to heighten the efficiency of the supply chain
and get products from the manufacturer to the retailer s back door in the most cost effective way
possible. Yet, if in store execution is shoddy, retailers simply end up shooting themselves in the foot. A
big part of this execution or the last 100 feet at Trader Joe s is its employees, people who like what
they do, go out of their way to help customers, and even engage in some suggestive selling. They are a
major reason for the company s success. After all, few employers particularly in retailing can boast of
having such high levels of employee loyalty, not to mention extremely low turnover.
Compensate workers well The core of this allegiance is a wage and benefits package that is typically
far more competitive than that of most companies in the supermarket industry. Wages may attract high
quality employees, but wages are not necessarily the reason they remain loyal, as any human resources
expert can attest. Employees stay because Trader Joe s has created a culture of success: an

Assignment On Cultural Awareness
Cultural Awareness Assignment
Thinking about which country and culture to choose for this assignment was a difficult process
because there is a plethora to choose from! I decided to choose Spain as I lived there for a short period
of time. Spain, is a country located in western Europe and is bordered by Portugal, France, and
Gibraltar. It lies between the Mediterranean Sea to its east and the North Atlantic Ocean to its west.
When trying to understand a culture from a foreign perspective, it is important to analyze the
geography that makes up that country.
Spain s geography is unique because it is located on the Iberian Peninsula with mountainous terrain
throughout the landmass. The central portion of Spain mostly consists of high plateaus of land
surround by rocky hills. Integrated into these plateaus are rural farm and cattle lands that create much
of Spain s agricultural industry. This industry comes through the harvesting of barley and wheat,
however, the crops that produce the most value consist of citrus fruits such as oranges. The climate of
Spain varies from region to region, but in a majority of the country during the summer months, it is
arid and hot. Temperatures often climb into the triple digits, however there is relatively no humidity.
During the winter, temperatures tend to hover around fifty degrees Fahrenheit. It is difficult to
pinpoint regions of agriculture on a map of Spain, because the country is dotted with various mountain
ranges. Examples of such

The social institution referred to as Education is comprised of the school system and it is in the school
system where knowledge and skills are developed along with cultural and social values and norms.
Additionally, through the school system culture and society continue and further those social values
and norms thus fulfilling a need prescribed by society. The purpose of this paper is to examine how
the theories of functionalism, conflict, and interactionism perceive the social institution of education.
As the functionalism theory states, each social institution exists in order to fulfill a social need in
addition without the social institution in question, social order would falter. The conflict theory ...

A student will not excel academically if they do not enjoy attending school in general, or attending
specific classes therefore, what are some causes for a student feeling this way. It is evident that the
interactions between the students and instructors play a large role in how the students feel about
classes and school in general. Two major factors come into play here and they are, the instructors
social and emotional support for students and the nature of [the instructors ] expectations for students
academic performance (Hallinan, 2008). This interaction between student and instructor is of great
value as it influences how a student perceives themself and their environment within the school
system. For example, students that perceive they are being overlooked or their capabilities are being
undervalued by the instructor will perform poorly. Conversely, when an instructor shows the student
some attention, and shows them they are capable and of value as a student, the student will perform to
the best of their ability. However, for either of these scenarios to persist the instructor must be
consistent with their interactions with the student. Moreover, if the instructor s expectations and
interactions are not consistent with regard to the student then the ability in predicting the student s
success in school or their feelings toward school becomes problematic. The predictability of a student

In Cold Blood and the Death Penalty Is the killing of certain people morally acceptable? In his novel,
In Cold Blood, Capote makes an argument about the death penalty. In Cold Blood, written by Truman
Capote, is a seemingly objective account of the Clutter murders of Holcomb Kansas. Capote details
both the lives of the Clutters and the lives of the two men involved in their murder. In this novel
Capote argues against the death penalty using devices such as simile, metaphor, juxtaposition, and. In
the first passage of the book, Capote writes about the incident and the resulting deaths. He writes At
the time not a soul in sleeping Holcomb heard them four shotgun blasts that, all told, ended six human
lives (Capote 5). This is an example of juxtaposition because it shows the contrast of the sleeping
town and the tragedy that was occurring at the same time. Capote uses this juxtaposition, not only to
detail the nature of the crime, but also to make a subtle argument about the case. After finding out that
the Clutters have been murdered, the community is shocked and horrified. They cannot sleep at night

Rome And Persia Comparative Essay
Persia and Rome were epicenters for trade, military power, and agricultural prowess. The social and
economic structure of Persia and Rome, during their rise and falls, placed a heavy emphasis on
warrior status, the agricultural community, religion, and established trade routes. Both societies were
very unique in how they did business with their people and other empires. During Rome s rise their
social structure was based on military merit and/or the wealth of their farm land. During Persia s rise
their social structure was based largely upon military status and their role in religious affairs. If one
was a priest in the Persian empire then they were higher than a soldier. However, the social and
economic structures of both empires were very different during the rise and fall. Rome and Persia had
a warrior status based class system during their rise. However, they had a very different system during
their fall. A military leader was held very high up in society in Persia, however the priest were held
even higher. The ways that a soldier or a noble would move up the social ladder would be if they
achieved outstanding military service. An example of this would be if a general ... Show more content

A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, a novel about the life of a black family in Chicago after

characters in the play and their dreams share similarities to the simile provided by Hughes. The simile
of a raisin in the sun (2) encounters with Beneatha Younger, a young college student, who dreams of
studying in a medical school but is criticized by her family. The dream seems aggravates the family

China s Second Largest Travel And Tourism Economy After...
China is only flourishing as the years go by, and it is only going to continue to flourish because of the
way society is brought upon them. It is essential to know the importance of tourism and all the
positive and negative attributes it has to offer. China is the world s second largest travel and tourism
economy after the United States by 2015 , according to a new report from the World Travel Tourism
Council (WTTC). China s tourist appeal is very different from any other countries outside of East
Asia, offering a variety of things to do and places to visit. China is an exotic country with new sights
and experiences to enjoy, and has an extraordinary culture waiting for you to discover. English is
rarely spoken by locals, and seemingly everything about the culture is backwards from what you

what geography and ethnicity you are located in the country. More than 1 billion people live in China,

soon to grasp the culture they have to offer. China s culture happens to

Indigenous Peoples Of Native Americans
There does not seem to be one definitive definition of indigenous people, but generally indigenous
people are those that have historically belonged to a particular region or country, before its
colonization or transformation into a nation state, and may have different often unique cultural,
linguistic, traditional, and other characteristics to those of the dominant culture of that region or state
(Rights) The land to Native Americans is a very sacred object. To us, as nonnative individuals, we don
t look at the land the same. As agriculturists we have a respect for the land and want to maintain its
fertility so it can continue to bless us with crops. While a ski bum may have respect for the mountains
and terrain that was given to them to be able to ski and enjoy. Native Americans see the land as a
whole. They as people don t just respect it for certain entities they respect it for everything it has given
to them. Their ancestral land has a fundamental importance for their collective physical and cultural
survival as peoples. Indigenous peoples hold their own diverse concepts of development, based on
their traditional values, visions, needs and priorities. As nonnative individuals it should be our job to
help protect these sacred lands, and restore what damage that has been done to them. But instead, big
companies are destroying sacred land all over the United States by mining, drilling for oil, or even
building for scientific research.

The Invention Of A Handheld Electric Mixer
In the beginning of time mixers were not electrical like they are now a days really easy for people to
use. The egg beaters were hand cranked, Hand cranks don t require electricity, there is a handle you
hold it with and a little knob that you twist so it could mix the ingredients together. In 1856, a
Maryland Tinner named Ralph Collier was the man who invented hand cranked egg beaters. The hand
cranked egg beaters were used by hand nothing electrical in them, but a more years went by people
started inventing so much more mixers and they were electrical of different kind. A handheld electric
mixer is basically an electrical mixer that has a handle and someone holds it while the mixer is mixing
the eggs and other things. Mixers are of course something used in the kitchen and only the kitchen.
People or chiefs use it for baking because it makes the dough in a better smoother texture than if it
was hand mixed. A classical American mixer brand is Dover stamping company, the company bought
the patent egg beaters in 1859. An American man named Rufus Eastman invented the first mixer
which was in 1885. The first man to invent electric mixer was named Herbert Johnson that was in
1908. His whole idea started from basically watching television, there was a baker who was making
dough with a spoon that is how his idea was formed. There were electrical mixers before but they
were hand mixers that used electricity. The electric mixes he made were mostly for bakers with

Attempting to Generate Virus-Like Particles From an Llarvirus
Nanotechnology is the control and manipulation of variously sized particles ranging between 1 to 100
nanometers (Doll, Raman, Dey, Burkhard, 2012). Virus and virus like particles, due to their multiple
capsid sites, allow for the addition of peptides and the manipulation of their genetic material and
protein subunits (Strable Finn, 2009). Scientists, as they learn more about the production and
alteration of these particles, have discovered their true chemical flexibility and ability to assemble into
useful nanotechnologies. As a result of these unique qualities, virus like particles are key particles in
nanotechnology, especially in areas such as vaccination, tumor targeting treatments, and other
scientific fields (Strable Finn, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nanotechnology, the manipulation of matter on the molecular scale, can be applied to numerous
scientific fields, such as medicine, surface chemistry, micro fabrication, and organic chemistry
(Destito, Schneemann Manchester, 2009). In general, these small sized particles are used to improve
the functioning of commercial products and, in the subsection of nanomedicine, are used for
therapeutics, tumor targeting, and vaccines (Crisci, Bárcena Montoya, 2012). For example, the use of
molecular nanotechnology improves vehicle fuel cells and catalytic converters, helps filter
wastewater, and strengthens commercial products, such as bowling balls and glue. (Doll et. al., 2012).
Harisinghani, through multiple experiments, also discovered that nanoparticles such as iron oxide can
be used to image lymph nodes in patients with prostate cancer (Destito et. al., 2009). However, even
with their vast range of applications, nanotechnology continues to raise issues on its toxicity and
negative impact on the environment (Destito et. al., 2009).
Viruses In 1844, it was demonstrated by Adolph Mayer that infectious agents were still being
transmitted to plants even when the infected sap was filtered through the Chamberland Pasteur filter, a
filter which isolated all bacteria from a liquid sample. As a result, new transmittable particles were
discovered: viruses. Viruses are

Thesis For The Gettysburg Address
Gettysburg address Have you ever heard the most famous speech from Abraham Lincoln? It is
extremely popular well known from this time. This speech is the Gettysburg Address why is it so
amazing, because it was one of the first speeches after the battle of Gettysburg one of the biggest and
the most deadly battle of the war and how did everyone agree with this speech.
Historical background The sides that fought were the south confederacy army against the north union
army. They were divide because they disagreed on a lot of things that they had no agreements and did
not view the problems in the same way so they separated and from there they made their own country.

It really does not matter because President Lincoln said the Gettysburg address under two minutes and
thirty seconds. It really does not matter it is not about the length in it about the quality or information
and how good it really is, what is talked about in the speech. Quality over quantity Lincoln is what he
said, a short speech compare to Edward Everett rather than talk and talk for over an hour Lincoln s
speech was more powerful and more to the point and it was a very short speech that was given in a
short amount of time. So, that is why his speech was more known after that day it became well known
around the country. Also, it is one his best speeches that he ever gave in his life and it is super popular

Lyra In The Golden Compass
Lyra is a character in the book the golden compass. I am writing this essay about why I think Lyra is a
hero. Well, what is a hero? In my opinion, a hero is someone who is noble, confident, and qsomeone
who shows great perseverance. In the golden compass, Lyra was noble when she chose to fight with
the master, and lord asriel, who were clearly good. She also was confident because she went to war
with little to no worries. She also showed great perseverance when she never showed that she was
afraid, even in the life threatening situation on the balloon ride. Lyra is a hero because she is noble.
Showing nobleness is not easy, and it something that you cannot try to do. Part of being noble is
picking the right side. In the beginning of the book,

Analysis Of Siegfried And Brenda Abided By The Wishes Of...
Obediently and willingly, both Siegfried and Brenda abided by the wishes of Eagle Eye, refraining
from trying to question or argue with him. Therefore, for the rest of the duration, they remained silent.
Continuing with their walk alongside their contact, the two Jackbooters reached the concrete driveway
at front yard of their contact s residence. But just as they were about to make their way to the front
yard s porch, thinking they were going to head inside the house, Eagle Eye suddenly made a swift
divergence in direction. Rather than heading to the front door, the contact went to the garage door at
the side of the house s garage area. He gestured at the two Jackbooters to as always follow his lead,
without muttering even a single word. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As soon as they were inside the garage with their contact, which turned out to be very empty save for
two large footlockers that were situated in the middle of the room. They appear to be big to store
clothing and other sizeable personal effects. Looking at it made Siegfried and Brenda wonder what is
inside those footlockers. Well, now we re in a place relatively safe from audible hearing, I think it s
now my turn to uphold my end of the bargain, Eagle Eye said, recalling the agreement he made with
Siegfried and Brenda. He calmly headed toward the footlockers that lay in the middle of the garage,
with the two Jackbooters following him from behind. Not too long after, Eagle Eye then proceeded to
open the two footlockers, revealing its contents. Thus, the contact allowed the two Jackbooters to see
what was inside. Brenda got closer toward the footlocker, thereby allowing her to grab anything that
was inside. While kneeling on her right knee, she pulled out what appeared to be the male and female
uniforms of the Catholic high school Eagle Eye attended, from one of the two footlockers, she took a
brief glance a better view at what was inside the other one. It turned out that there were some very
enticing foodstuffs and other items that were highly sought after by both the factions of
Brotzmanskrieg and the Jackbooters of the Plaid Prohibition. The total value of all the items inside the

The Science Of Determination The Figure Of The Earth
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Research Background:
Geodesy is considered, according to Bruns (1878) and Helmert (1884), as the science of determination
the figure of the earth as well as its gravitational field. This covers the basic general form of the earth
as a flattened rotational ellipsoid and the visible topographic surface resulted from gravitational
attraction of uneven inner masses. Thus, physical and geometric aspects are inseparably correlated
(Moritz 2015).
In geodesy, the figure of the earth refers to the figure extracted physically or mathematically from the
true surface of the earth (Moritz 1990). This includes the geoid and the reference ellipsoid along with
the normal ellipsoid. While the geoid can be interpreted as the physical figure of the earth, the
reference ellipsoid can be considered as the mathematical figure of the earth, and the normal ellipsoid
can be considered as the mathematical and physical figure of the earth. However, the reference
ellipsoid and the normal ellipsoid are a close approximation of the geoid. Hence, the figure of the
earth studied in geodesy mainly refers to the figure of the geoid (Lu et al. 2014).
Geoid is defined as an equipotential surface of the earth s gravity potential, where the mean surface of
the oceans particularly forms a part (Hofmann Wellenhof and Moritz 2005). On oceans, the geoid
agrees with the mean sea surface, more precisely, with a calm ocean surface subjected only to the
force of gravity, which is assumed

Frontotemporal Dementia Essay
This section describes a type of dementia known as frontotemporal dementia, which has different
forms including behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia, progressive non fluent aphasia and
semantic dementia.
What is frontotemporal dementia?
Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is the name given to dementia when it is due to progressive damage
to the frontal and/or temporal lobes of the brain.
The right and left frontal lobes at the front of the brain are involved in mood, social behaviour,
attention, judgement, planning and self control. Damage can lead to reduced intellectual abilities and
changes in personality, emotion and behaviour.
The right and left temporal lobes at the two sides of the brain are involved in processing what we hear
and understanding what we hear and see. Damage may lead to difficulty recognising objects or
understanding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Subtle deficits in problem solving, mental flexibility and decision making are often present. In later
stages, the disease spreads to the frontal lobes so that behavioural changes occur, especially changes in
emotional responses and empathy.
Overlap between frontotemporal dementia and movement disorders
Most people with FTD do not experience significant movement or motor problems. However, motor
symptoms can develop in the later stages of the illness and FTD can co occur with other conditions
characterised by motor symptoms.
These include motor neuron disease, corticobasal syndrome, progressive supranuclear palsy and FTDP
17 (FTD with parkinsonism linked to chromosome 17).
Who gets frontotemporal dementia?
FTD can affect anybody. It typically affects people at a younger age than Alzheimer s disease, with
symptoms beginning in the 50s or 60s, and sometimes younger.
Almost a third of people with FTD have a family history of dementia. However, only about 10 15% of
cases have familial FTD, in which a gene mutation is passed on that causes the

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants The non profit professional organization, American
Institute Certified of Public Accountants (AICPA), was founded in the United States of America. The
professional organization was founded in 1887, to help ensure that the accounting profession will gain
the same respect as the other prestigious occupations have received from the public. The accounting
profession, similar to the medical, legal, and engineering profession, is characterized by ...rigorous
educational requirements [150 credit hours], high professional standards, a strict code of professional
ethics, licensing status [Uniform CPA Examination], and a commitment to serving the public interest
(AICPA, 2016). The five characteristics help ensure that accountancy profession is practiced by
competent and ethical accountants. With more than 400,000 members located in 144 countries, the
AICPA is the largest professional organization of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) serving in the
public s interest (AICPA, 2016). There are four different types of membership one can obtain at
AICPA, but to become a member of the AICPA there are extra requirements. Whether it is passing the

English, American, and French Revolutions Essay
Revolutions English, American, and French The three most prominent revolutions in recent western
history are The English Glorious Revolution, The American Revolution, and The French Revolution.
The despite these events being separated by nearly a century, several thousand miles, or both, all three
of the revolutions share the same causes, were brought forth by the same idealism, and had similar
outcomes in which a document was produced to secure the rights and freedoms for the future. While
there were a large number of causes for each war, and an even larger number of events and escalations
that occurred to set the stage, one theme in particular rings true throughout all three. The idea of being
governed without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Much like the English revolution, the French Revolution was largely caused by a leader denying his
subjects their percieved right of representation in government. There, due to looming financial
problems, the state attempted to levy additional taxes without an elected body to approve them. The
French Parlement rejected this idea and insisted on the Estates General as the only body able to allow
this. Despite the efforts of many to establish the Estates General to ratify the taxes, the Kings blatent
disregard for the peoples concerns over the abuse of power quickly pushed the country to war. But for
all the good will earnt more was lost as the king and his government began forcing laws through using
the arbitrary practice of lit de justice. The king is even recorded as responding to complaints by saying
it s legal because I wish it (Doyle 80). Ultimately, France went bankrupt the people would accept no
more. This theme of abuse of power and subjection of citizens to the whims of a government removed
from the will of the people continues into the American Revolution. The British were looking for
money to pay for the French and Indian War, and decided upon establishing new taxes on goods into

Differences Between Blade Runner And Blade Runner
It is the 21st century, a new corporation has made robots that are nearly identical to humans. The
police have hired bounty hunters whose job it is to shoot on sight. This is not called execution, it is
called retirement. This is the opening crawl of Blade Runner but with a few changes to make it more
vague. The changes are not just to prevent plagiarisation, they are to show the similarities between the
movie and the book. Many people do not know that Blade Runner is inspired by the novel by Philip K.
Dick: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Both the book and the movie have many similarities, but
there are also many differences. It is very clear that Blade Runner was only inspired by Do Androids
Dream of Electric Sheep due to the vast amount of differences between the two. In order to properly
compare and contrast the two I will split this up into three sections. The first will discuss the
characters, the second will discuss story elements, and the third will discuss the main questions that
each pose. This begins the first section. The main similarities lie within the characters that are shared
between the stories. In both mediums Deckard is a bounty hunter who retires androids. Deckard
knows what he is doing, but he also gets very lucky in both. He has a very professional demeanor and
becomes less dedicated to eliminating the androids as the story progresses. Along with the similarities,
there are also a lot of differences. In the book, Deckard has a wife named Iran,

The Ice Hotel And The Travelodge
Introduction
For a long time researchers are trying to find the perfect recipe for success, however it is very hard to
predict the response of the market to a new product and its adaptation to the environment. The Ice
Hotel and the Travelodge are two ventures established in the end of 20th century both in the travel and
hospitality sector but each one with its own unique business strategy. In evaluation of their success the
decisions made throughout the development of the above mentioned ventures can be categorized as
effectual and causal, as explained by Sarasvathy (2010). G.Sanvikarja suggests that causational logic
is more rational and based on prediction where as the effectual strategy is more creative and is control
orientated. Each of these approaches implies different strategies and reasoning behind both individual
decisions and responsiveness to the environment. Furthermore, most enterprises follow a set of
common principles that are key for building a business strategy including defining means, setting
affordable loss, leveraging contingencies and forming partnerships (S. et. al, 2010). These four aspects
are crucial for understanding how is a business created and what is its approach. However, it should be
noted that most of the businesses are not strictly effectual or causal, rather a mixture of both with a tilt
towards one. Every business is individual and should be treated like one. This paper will examine the
business strategies behind the Ice Hotel and the

Comparing Wilfred Owen And Jarrell
War Poetry: Analysis
Both Owen and Jarrell share the pains of war. Using literary devices such as diction, imagery, and
inner thoughts. Besides just the basics of literary devices the poets also use their close affiliation of
war to help express the true disasters that not many people knew of. They possessed unusual
sensibility. When digging a little deeper you are fully able to compare Owen s Dulce et Decorum Est
and Jarrell s Death of the Ball Turret Gunner.
At first glance Wilfred Owen s Dulce et Decorum Est is blatantly organized. In fact, it is comprised of
multiple stanzas. But that is Owen s purposeful structure. When delving further into the poem you
truly start to see Owen s intentions. While some poets romanticized war, Wilfred

My Ride Along Reflection On The New York City Civil Court
My Ride Along Reflection
On Tuesday, 25th October, 2016 I shadowed Judge Lisa A. Sokoloff in her position as a judge on the
New York City Civil Court at 111 Center Street. In her courtroom, a small claims court, one party is
represented by an attorney and the other party is generally self represented, and the claims of damages
are only allowed to total $25,000 or less. Generally, cases are settled in preference to moving further
into the trial phase, in what is called a settlement conference and then allocated on the record.
However, there are a few occasions where, because of the excessive entanglement between the
individuals and resulting personal emotions, settlements are much harder to reach. Judge Sokoloff
shined and used her art of mediation and influencing here, effectively allowing the parties before her
to compromise. I was surprised by her very efficient and very effective use of the mediation tactic; so
much so, that it has in fact influenced me a great deal. Firstly, the experience showed me the
importance of mediation, and its efficiency within the legal process. Secondly, the experience instilled
in me the importance of a legal practitioner s temperament, and the effect that it can have on the
judicial process. Thirdly, and probably the most impacting of the points was, the experience allowed
me to realize that I was not as far off in my understanding of the legal field as I initially believed,
rather intellectually I was able to relate to many of the

  • 2. Reflective Essay About Rap I caused myself to miss out on a possible great experience with music. Since the start of 2016, a new rap era called Mumble Rap caused a spur of people to spew their dislike of rappers who predominately used adlibs in their songs along with extremely low rapping ability. Well known mumble rappers are: Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Famous Dex, Kodak Black, and Desiigner. I joined this wave of not liking mumble rap to make myself seem better and more knowledgeable to this who listen to mumble rap. I would always say that I only listen to lyrical people, except for Lil Wayne or Mumble rappers are trash and I do not like that . You will usually see me criticizing people who listen to this new music because I felt as though the music was poisoning to our minds. Contrary to what I was saying, these were not my true feelings. The only reason I said these things was because I followed the thoughts and opinion of the much older people of the hip hop audience. I wanted to be all high and mighty as those individuals and show that I too also enjoyed the rap era from the 1990s to early 2013. Although I preached about how bad this new rap era is and the kind of music I listen to, no one pictured me how I pictured me. I began to notice more and more often, so I began to feel less dislike for the new rap and eventually not care if it is played around me. I would here one of the mumble rapper s song on the radio and I would find myself liking it. If I am by myself, I would look ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Flagstaff Arizona Mental Health Assignment Introduction I thought a lot about this assignment. It was important, to me, that I gathered information that would be applicable for the clients I will serve as a social worker. Here in Flagstaff Arizona, we are fortunate to live in a community which celebrates cultural diversity. Flagstaff is home to a large Latino, Diné and Hopi population. I wanted to critique a mental health assessment that I felt would be culturally sensitive, appropriate and address the needs of these populations. Having said that, I analyzed this intake form in terms of its usability for a variety of different cultures and populations. I also aimed to assess the intake form in relation to sexual orientation and issues around gender identity. The hope being that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I do not think there is always sufficient space to answer questions completely. For example, within the Family Background and Childhood History section, there are questions asking the client to describe their relationship with both their father and mother. Only one and one half lines are provided for this response. A bit more space might encourage a better understanding of client concerns. I understand the intake is intended to be brief but additional client explanation would be helpful. Should the intake be re formatted so it is easier to read? Why? In general, the intake form is formatted thoughtfully. My suggestion would be to expand certain areas, include a few more questions and provide a bit more space between topic areas. One aspect I really appreciated was on the final page where space is provided for the client to add any additional areas of concern. I reviewed quite a few intake forms for this assignment and found very few that incorporated this aspect. What would you include? What would you remove? Why? I do not feel there is anything I would remove but there is content I would include. For example, in the beginning of the intake, a demographic section would be helpful. Addition of this section would give the clinician further insight into the clients cultural systems. Questions might ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gilcrist must avoid re establishing the company in a sinking market, but to make innovation and change. The challenge for Gilcrist will be to stimulate employee creativity and tolerance for change due to her new directorship as president. 7. Should she immediately move to make the company more market oriented? How? Yes, the move would be a wise choice if Yellowtail is having problems complying with regulations. • 5. Effects of Advertising Essay Every day, the average person watches three hours of television, reads between five to ten magazines or newspapers, and listens to the radio for five hours (WOW). While doing this, a part of what he experiences are advertisements that come on at an average of every ten minutes. These advertisements are usually used to persuade the costumer to buy something. They also might be used for the listener to do something that the advertisement is asking. Sometimes these advertisements can be hidden messages between or in television programs. This printing press idea quickly spread throughout Europe and later to the Americas (YouHis2). Afterwards, around the 1700s, when the use of newspapers began to be an everyday publication, advertisements started being printed in them, even if the advertisements were simple at the time. Newspapers became the first medium to be conquered by advertisement. In 1721, Benjamin Franklin founded the Pennsylvania Gazette, the second newspaper made in the Americas. What was special about it is that it had pictures accompanying the ads to help the people understand better their product, which was the difference with his close relative, The Boston Gazette, which had pictureless ads (YouHis3). Since the eighteenth century, most newspapers have relied on advertisements for part of their profit, and they have been developing advertising bit by bit. Following the example of the newspapers, radio programming began using advertisements. These advertisements were very slow and repetitive sonnets that companies used to get people to know their products. These advertisements started in the late 1800s, with their lengths being fairly short. They never extended past a minute. To compensate for the brevity of the ads, companies would repeat the same ad many times between radio programs. Then, the invention of television came along. Advertisements on television captivated everyone s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Comparison Of Socrates And The Ox-Bow Incident The book The Trial and Death of Socrates and the movie The Ox Bow Incident were stories that resulted in the death of the innocent. In The Trial and Death of Socrates, Socrates is sentenced to death on the charge of corrupting the youth by a democratic trial. This took place in 399 BC in Athens. This is an account of the philosopher s death written by his student, Plato. In The Ox Bow Incident, three men are hanged by a mob for the murder of a man. The story takes place in the American West during the 1940s. The film was directed by William A. Wellman. In both these tragedies there is an unfair judgement by a mob, the innocent failing to persuade their accusers of their innocence, and the force of peer pressure. The biggest similarity between the Ox bow three and Socrates is that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Socrates was poisoned and the others were hanged. This wasn t the result of poor persuasion, but their efforts did both fail. The men failed because the mob didn t want to consider that the men could possibly be innocent. The majority of both mobs refused to look over any evidence that proved the men were not guilty. Socrates was a known trouble maker, but he did not hurt anyone. The worst Socrates did was annoy the officials, and this resulted in the ending of his life. He stood up in front of the crowd and explained exactly why he shouldn t receive the death penalty, but the majority of them did not pay attention to his reasoning. Ignoring the evidence was easier at Ox Bow. There was evidence against them. They had the man s gun, the man s cattle with no bill of sell, a motive of cow rustling, and they didn t have an alibi. With all this evidence, it was extremely easy to overlook the fact that they didn t know that the man was dead. They acted on the words of someone who thought he had heard someone say that the man had been murdered in a ditch. • 7. The Atomic Bomb Of The United States In 1939, when it was discovered that Germany had the technology to produce a weapon of mass destruction, the United States was determined that they would not fall trap to the Nazi s reign. World renowned scientists gathered together and by 1941, the secret project to produce an atomic bomb was given the code name the Manhattan Project. Nobody expected this weapon to be so powerful, but this secret weapon had a lasting impact that changed the course of history. The Manhattan Project was ultimately responsible for the accomplishment of separating a uranium atom, which resulted in a weapon of mass destruction known as the atomic bomb. This secret project ultimately ended the Second World War, issued in the nuclear age, and changed the way wars were fought. Interestingly, the initiation of the Manhattan project can be attributed to two United States immigrants. Just after World War II had begun, Albert Einstein, who had fled Nazi Germany, and Enrico Fermi, who had fled from Italy, had come together and decided that the president must be warned of the fact that Germany had the power to create an atomic weapon. At first, Roosevelt did not see the importance of this project, and only allotted $6,000 for research. However, when the war with the Axis powers grew, fear also grew, and the budget for the Manhattan project was ultimately enlarged to $2 billion dollars. Eventually, Roosevelt established the Advisory Committee on Uranium and the National Defense Research Committee. At ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Pynchon’s Vision of America in The Crying of Lot 49 Essay First published in 1965, The Crying of Lot 49 is the second novel by American author Thomas Pynchon. The novel follows Oedipa Mass, a young Californian housewife, after she unexpectedly finds herself named the executrix of the estate of Californian real estate mogul, and ex boyfriend, Pierce Inverarity. In reflecting on their history together, Oedipa recalls how her travels with Pierce helped her acknowledge, but not overcome, the poignant feeling that she was being held paralyzed and isolated from the world (and others) within a staid, middle class existence by some invisible and nefarious external force. Moreover Oedipa struggles to understand why Pierce would name her the executor of his will considering her deep ignorance of finance, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To assess this vision of an American society heading towards stasis developed in The Crying of Lot 49, one must first discuss the concept of entropy. Broadly speaking, entropy refers both to the level of disorder and uncertainty in a system. The concept originates from thermodynamics, where it is used to describe the thermal energy in heat engine that is unavailable to be converted into work (i.e. transferred through a change in form or location). The second law of thermodynamics stipulates that within a self contained system like a heat engine, the aggregate measure of entropy must remain the same or increase over time because with no external energy inputs, the system s net energy flow gradually subsides as the gaps between its higher and lower energy particles decrease through the transfer of heat as they interact. This diminishing gap between particle energy levels, denoted in part by a stabilization in temperature and phase state (e.g. solid, liquid, or gas), reflects the system s progression towards a state of thermodynamic equilibrium, or maximum entropy, where particles regress into towards a uniform set of characteristics and inertness as the net energy flow grows infinitesimal. In moving towards equilibrium the system also becomes increasingly disordered because in losing their distinctiveness particles become fungible, rendering attempts to impose order and coherence on the system by drawing relations and distinctions between ... • 9. Discuss The Role Of Honduan Workers In Honduras In my point of view Nike was responsible for compensating the workers in Honduras because of corporate social responsibility. Nike should be socially responsible to do the right thing before their corporation decided to closed down their factories in Honduras. The right thing such as established proper procedure for employees benefits for post employment, implement appropriate compensation, and set up a wide operational meeting in helping the employees understand the reasons of the closure. The change of stance was the effect of several Universities to canceled its sports apparel contract with Nike. However, in many places in the world right now and in Shakespeare s time, not everyone had this right and were restricted to speak their mind. Except Feste the clown. In Twelfth Night, we can see that the only position that isn t high ranking and were allowed to say what they wanted was a jester (fool). For example, while talking to Olivia, he says The more fool, madonna, to mourn for your brother s soul being in heaven. Take the fool away, gentlemen, which means he is saying that Olivia is stupid for mourning for her brother, something a normal citizen at the time wouldn t have been able to say. From this, is it clear that he uses his profession as a figurative mask to excuse a lot of what he says. Although Feste is a clown, he is one of Shakespeare s ironies meaning that he is very intelligent on the inside, thus a lot of what he says is true. This relates to the Essential Question because many people in real life do/did not have this basic human right. But there s a saying in retail circles that the last 100 feet are the hardest. Every effort can be made to heighten the efficiency of the supply chain and get products from the manufacturer to the retailer s back door in the most cost effective way possible. Yet, if in store execution is shoddy, retailers simply end up shooting themselves in the foot. A big part of this execution or the last 100 feet at Trader Joe s is its employees, people who like what they do, go out of their way to help customers, and even engage in some suggestive selling. They are a major reason for the company s success. After all, few employers particularly in retailing can boast of having such high levels of employee loyalty, not to mention extremely low turnover. Compensate workers well The core of this allegiance is a wage and benefits package that is typically far more competitive than that of most companies in the supermarket industry. • 12. Assignment On Cultural Awareness Cultural Awareness Assignment Thinking about which country and culture to choose for this assignment was a difficult process because there is a plethora to choose from! I decided to choose Spain as I lived there for a short period of time. Spain, is a country located in western Europe and is bordered by Portugal, France, and Gibraltar. It lies between the Mediterranean Sea to its east and the North Atlantic Ocean to its west. When trying to understand a culture from a foreign perspective, it is important to analyze the geography that makes up that country. Spain s geography is unique because it is located on the Iberian Peninsula with mountainous terrain throughout the landmass. The central portion of Spain mostly consists of high plateaus of land surround by rocky hills. Integrated into these plateaus are rural farm and cattle lands that create much of Spain s agricultural industry. This industry comes through the harvesting of barley and wheat, however, the crops that produce the most value consist of citrus fruits such as oranges. The climate of Spain varies from region to region, but in a majority of the country during the summer months, it is arid and hot. Temperatures often climb into the triple digits, however there is relatively no humidity. During the winter, temperatures tend to hover around fifty degrees Fahrenheit. It is difficult to pinpoint regions of agriculture on a map of Spain, because the country is dotted with various mountain ranges. Examples of such ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A student will not excel academically if they do not enjoy attending school in general, or attending specific classes therefore, what are some causes for a student feeling this way. It is evident that the interactions between the students and instructors play a large role in how the students feel about classes and school in general. Two major factors come into play here and they are, the instructors social and emotional support for students and the nature of [the instructors ] expectations for students academic performance (Hallinan, 2008). This interaction between student and instructor is of great value as it influences how a student perceives themself and their environment within the school system. For example, students that perceive they are being overlooked or their capabilities are being undervalued by the instructor will perform poorly. Conversely, when an instructor shows the student some attention, and shows them they are capable and of value as a student, the student will perform to the best of their ability. However, for either of these scenarios to persist the instructor must be consistent with their interactions with the student. Moreover, if the instructor s expectations and interactions are not consistent with regard to the student then the ability in predicting the student s success in school or their feelings toward school becomes problematic. In his novel, In Cold Blood, Capote makes an argument about the death penalty. In Cold Blood, written by Truman Capote, is a seemingly objective account of the Clutter murders of Holcomb Kansas. Capote details both the lives of the Clutters and the lives of the two men involved in their murder. In this novel Capote argues against the death penalty using devices such as simile, metaphor, juxtaposition, and. In the first passage of the book, Capote writes about the incident and the resulting deaths. He writes At the time not a soul in sleeping Holcomb heard them four shotgun blasts that, all told, ended six human lives (Capote 5). This is an example of juxtaposition because it shows the contrast of the sleeping town and the tragedy that was occurring at the same time. • 15. Rome And Persia Comparative Essay Persia and Rome were epicenters for trade, military power, and agricultural prowess. The social and economic structure of Persia and Rome, during their rise and falls, placed a heavy emphasis on warrior status, the agricultural community, religion, and established trade routes. Both societies were very unique in how they did business with their people and other empires. During Rome s rise their social structure was based on military merit and/or the wealth of their farm land. During Persia s rise their social structure was based largely upon military status and their role in religious affairs. If one was a priest in the Persian empire then they were higher than a soldier. However, the social and economic structures of both empires were very different during the rise and fall. Rome and Persia had a warrior status based class system during their rise. However, they had a very different system during their fall. A military leader was held very high up in society in Persia, however the priest were held even higher. The ways that a soldier or a noble would move up the social ladder would be if they achieved outstanding military service. An example of this would be if a general ... This social particularity would be present throughout the classical Roman empire. In Persia there were not large plantations, however, the fertile crescent did provide rich farmland and the Persians were not opposed to use of slaves. From the Civil War times until now, there has been growth in the understanding that soldiers face extreme psychological consequences, like behavioral and functional problems, after returning home from war. In 1980, this behavioral and functional problem is formally recognized as Post Traumatic Stress order (PTSD) in the U.S. and it was internationally recognized in the late 1980 s. Van O s Verdoux (1999) demonstrated that experiences of psychotic symptoms and/ or beliefs were common in non clinical populations, through clinical interviews of non clinical subjects. To us, as nonnative individuals, we don t look at the land the same. As agriculturists we have a respect for the land and want to maintain its fertility so it can continue to bless us with crops. While a ski bum may have respect for the mountains and terrain that was given to them to be able to ski and enjoy. Native Americans see the land as a whole. They as people don t just respect it for certain entities they respect it for everything it has given to them. Their ancestral land has a fundamental importance for their collective physical and cultural survival as peoples. • 27. The Science Of Determination The Figure Of The Earth CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Research Background: Geodesy is considered, according to Bruns (1878) and Helmert (1884), as the science of determination the figure of the earth as well as its gravitational field. This covers the basic general form of the earth as a flattened rotational ellipsoid and the visible topographic surface resulted from gravitational attraction of uneven inner masses. Thus, physical and geometric aspects are inseparably correlated (Moritz 2015). In geodesy, the figure of the earth refers to the figure extracted physically or mathematically from the true surface of the earth (Moritz 1990). This includes the geoid and the reference ellipsoid along with the normal ellipsoid. While the geoid can be interpreted as the physical figure of the earth, the reference ellipsoid can be considered as the mathematical figure of the earth, and the normal ellipsoid can be considered as the mathematical and physical figure of the earth. However, the reference ellipsoid and the normal ellipsoid are a close approximation of the geoid. Hence, the figure of the earth studied in geodesy mainly refers to the figure of the geoid (Lu et al. 2014). Geoid is defined as an equipotential surface of the earth s gravity potential, where the mean surface of the oceans particularly forms a part (Hofmann Wellenhof and Moritz 2005). On oceans, the geoid agrees with the mean sea surface, more precisely, with a calm ocean surface subjected only to the force of gravity, which is assumed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The changes are not just to prevent plagiarisation, they are to show the similarities between the movie and the book. Many people do not know that Blade Runner is inspired by the novel by Philip K. The Ice Hotel And The Travelodge Introduction For a long time researchers are trying to find the perfect recipe for success, however it is very hard to predict the response of the market to a new product and its adaptation to the environment. The Ice Hotel and the Travelodge are two ventures established in the end of 20th century both in the travel and hospitality sector but each one with its own unique business strategy. In evaluation of their success the decisions made throughout the development of the above mentioned ventures can be categorized as effectual and causal, as explained by Sarasvathy (2010). G.Sanvikarja suggests that causational logic is more rational and based on prediction where as the effectual strategy is more creative and is control orientated. Each of these approaches implies different strategies and reasoning behind both individual decisions and responsiveness to the environment. Furthermore, most enterprises follow a set of common principles that are key for building a business strategy including defining means, setting affordable loss, leveraging contingencies and forming partnerships (S. et. al, 2010). These four aspects are crucial for understanding how is a business created and what is its approach.
