contact.
Mesosystem

parts of a person’s microsystem.
 Interactions between the family and teachers

Exosystem
 A setting that does not involve the
person as an active participant, but
still affects them.

Macrosystem
 The cultural environment in which the
person lives and all other systems that
affect them.
◦ Provides the values, beliefs, customs, and
laws of the culture in which a child grows
up
 Influences how parents, teachers, and others
raise a child
 May be positive or negative
Chronosystem
 The dimension of time in relation to a
person’s development.
