2. What Are We Building
• 15 underground stations and 10 surface stops – 9 km below ground and 10 km
above ground
• A maintenance and storage facility
• A 19-kilometre route separated from regular traffic
• Transit communications system
• Links to 54 bus routes, three subway stations,
GO Transit, and a new UP Express station
3. How We’re Building: Surface Stops
• Sequential road widening will be implemented to allow traffic flow to be maintained
during construction.
• The track where the trains will run is at the same level of the roadway on concrete pad
foundations, approximately 100 meters long.
• Example of a Cross Section (Pharmacy Stop)
• U-turns are permitted at intersections due to
unavailability of mid-block left turns
4. Unique Design Concepts: Surface Stops
•Clean, rectilinear form. Intuitive and
easy to use
•Transparent, to ensure clear sightlines
to the street and to maximize the
sense of the security to the passenger
•Provides protection from rain/snow
and splash from the street
Shelter Design

8. Wynford Bridge Rehabilitation: Stage 1
The first step in the rehabilitation
process is the installation of work
platforms beneath the bridge.
Platform installation will be performed
in two stages and take approximately
two (2) weeks to complete.
• Platform installation will take place in two stages, beginning on the west side of
Wynford Drive, followed by the east side.
• Each stage takes approximately one (1) week to complete.
• Traffic on Wynford Drive will be shifted to provide a secure and protected work zone.
• Lane closures are required to safely conduct the work.
• A minimum of one through lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
9. Wynford Bridge Rehabilitation – Stage 2

Traffic Reconfiguration to Stage 7 to support of excavation work on the east side of
the Don Mills and Eglinton Ave East intersection expected to occur mid-late May.
16. Hydro works at Don Mills and Eglinton
Work is expected to begin as soon as early June 13, 2018 and is expected to last for
approximately four (4) weeks.
Work may occur between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, seven (7) days a week.

until approximately late-June 2018
19. TTC Route 34C Detour at Science Centre Station Traffic
Reconfiguration late June 2017
TTC bus route 34C will be detoured during this stage due to the left turn restriction from
eastbound Eglinton to northbound Don Mills.
At Don Mills Road, Route 34C will continue east along Eglinton Avenue then turn right at
Ferrand Drive, continue south, turn right at Rochefort Drive, then turn right onto Don Mills
Road travelling north until it reaches the temporary northbound stop near the Superstore
