5. CHAPLIN CRES ROAD CLOSURE

• Chaplin Cres will be closed between Eglinton Ave and Russell Hill Rd beginning June 8 for approximately six (6) weeks
• The closure is required to complete remove of the existing traffic bridge, back-fill the area, reinstate dry and wet utilities, pave the area
and line paint (note: this paving will be temporary – final road restoration will begin in mid 2021)
• One lane of traffic in each direction on Eglinton Ave will be maintained
• Southbound traffic on Chaplin Cres will have to turn right or left at Eglinton Ave
• Local access on Chaplin Cres will be maintained from the south end of the closure
• The Chaplin-Russell Hill laneway will be closed, local vehicle and pedestrian traffic excepted
• The west crosswalk will be temporary closed and the north crosswalk will be temporarily reinstated; the south crosswalk will be shifted

• Implementation of Eglinton Connects began July 7, 2020 between Lascelles Blvd and Duplex
