Through the BLAST program, the district aims to transform classroom instruction through blended learning to better prepare students for careers. The program will provide ongoing professional development to expose teachers to frameworks for blended learning like the National Educational Technology Standards. These frameworks including the NETS-S, NETS-T, and Technology Integration Proficiency Charts provide rubrics to guide the continuous improvement of teaching and learning through blended models and the integration of 21st century skills. Teachers will work towards achieving the ideal levels of technology integration described in these frameworks to advance student thinking.
