2. Experimental Theory, State Of The Art, And Economics
The Fischer Tropsch (FT) process is a part of the larger Gas to Liquids technology.
The purpose of the FT process is to convert syngas, which is a mixture of carbon
monoxide and hydrogen, to liquid hydrocarbon fuels. Syngas for FT can be coal,
natural gas, or biomass derived, which opens several pathways for how FT can be
industrialized. Since its creation, the FT process has continuously been researched
and commercialized, but it remains an unpopular pathway to obtain liquid fuels.
Ongoing development of the process is primarily due to the value and promise of
the FT products. This paper will give an overview of the FT process with a focus on
describing the process, experimental theory, state of the art, and economics.

2.1 Reactions and Products
The FT process or FT synthesis is a set of catalytic processes for converting synthesis
gas (syngas, carbon monoxide hydrogen and/or other gases mixture) into liquid
hydrocarbons. [2]
The reactions in the FT process are generally described as the following:
Alkanes: (2n + 1)H2 + nCO в‡’ CnH2n+2 + nH2O(1)
Alkenes: 2nH2 + nCO в‡’ CnH2n + nH2O(2)
Oxygenates: 2nH2 + nCO в‡’ CnH2n + 2O + (n 1)H2O(3)
Water Gas Shift: CO + H2O ⇔ CO2 + H2 (4)
The reaction stated before can be achieved with the help provided by the catalysts.
The catalysts that can be used in this process are varied. The preferred catalysts are
the metals that have electron configuration of d7 (although not required) [4]. These
includes (1) Fe (Iron) = [Ar] 3d6 4s2, (2) Co (Cobalt) = [Ar] 3d7 4s2, (3) Ni (Nickel)
= [Ar] 4s2 3d8, (4) Mo (Molybdenum) = [Kr] 4d5 5s1, (5) Ru (Ruthenium) = [Kr]
4d7 5s1. (6) Rh (Rhodium) = [Kr] 4d8 5s1, (7) W (Tungsten) = [Xe] 4f14 5d4 6s2,
(8) Other platinum group noble metals. [5]
In real life, catalysts considered for FT synthesis are based on transition metals of
iron, cobalt, nickel and ruthenium. Among these catalysts, it is generally known that
nickel (Ni) tends to promote methane formation, as in a methanation process; thus
generally it is not desirable. Iron (Fe) is relatively low cost and has a higher water
gas shift activity, and is therefore more suitable for a lower hydrogen/carbon
monoxide ratio (H2/CO) syngas
3. Porter s Theory Of Porters Five Forces
Five Forces Introduction Michael Porter developed a highly useful tool for
managers called Porters Five Forces (Rothaermel, 2015). The main focus of Porters
Five Forces is to help managers understand their firm s position and how to help
them find a competitive advantage (Rothaermel, 2015). The Five Forces consist of,
threat of entry, power of suppliers, power of buyers, threat of substitutes, and rivalry
among existing firms. I am going to break down Porters Five Forces on my
upcoming new business, The Stable Market, LLC. The Stable Market is a business
that I started working on in October 2015. We have been working closely with a
local web design company to get this website put together and operating properly.
We are expecting to launch this new business sometime this fall. I have poured my
heart and soul into this business and plan to continue to do so as the launch date is
quickly approaching. I have been keeping a close eye on our competition and
studying the market over the past year. I have been an equestrian for twenty years
of my life so I have a lot of background information on how this world works. We
have done a great deal of networking locally and are ready to bring this business to
life. Threat of New Entrants First we will take a look at The Stable Markets threat of
entry. The treat of entry describes the potential risk for other firms to enter the
marketspace. New entrants are a threat because it will take away profits from the

Explain the differences between Basaltic, Rhyolitic and Andesitic volcanic eruptions
with reference to processes, which lead to the eruptions, the type of volcano produced
and the reasons for the differences between the material erupted by these volcanoes.
Volcanic eruptions are caused by a red hot liquid rock, called magma inside the
earth s core. Volcanoes erupt when magma rises to the surface of the earth, which
causes bubbles of gas to appear in it. This gas can cause pressure to build up in the
mountain, and it eventually explodes. When the magma bursts out of the earth, it is
called lava. The type of magma in the earth can create different volcanoes. If the
magma is quite thin, the gas can escape easily and there will not be an ... Show more

Lastly, there are Destructive Plate Margins and conservative plate margins.
Destructive Plate Margins are the places where the Earth s crust is being destroyed at
the same rate as they are being formed at the constructive plate margins. Oceanic
Convergence is where oceanic and continental plates meet. As oceanic plates are
denser they go down toward the Mantel; this is subduction. Sediments that have
accumulated at the bottom of the ocean form land mass as they rise as they melt due
to the magma, through the continental crust and then re appear as the continent. Also,
there is oceanic convergence. This is where two oceanic plates meet; one is forced

are continental convergence where two continent plates meet and sediment is forced

each other and there is neither creation nor destruction takes place. There is no
subduction or volcanic activity. However, the plates move

The main suppliers are the Equator, Netherlands, France, Italy, Mexico, Germany, etc.
the main buyers are the U.S., Russia, etc. the market is pretty big but the risk are
high as well. In order for the company to survive it must maintain a very efficient
supply chain from the producer to the consumer. Equator who is big supplier of
flower in the world enjoys quite a competitive advantage in relation to its main
competitors. Equator has cheap labor cost, 12 hour a day sun, and the fact that
farms are very close to the airport. But in recent years these competitive advantages
have been matched by other producer in North Africa, Asia, Colombia, India and
more recently China. China, India, and Colombia focus on producing great
quantity of flower at a lower cost whereas Equator focuses in producing its flower
in high quality rather than quantity. The pick of the market is around the month of
February. During this time the price of flower tends to rise due to the heavy
demand allowing companies to generate 1/3 of their revenue around this time.
Equator supplies 25% of the rose in the world. For every 1 flower sold in France

9. Memory And Memory Of Computers
Memory
Have you ever wanted to know how certain files, documents and so on are being
saved and what led this to occur? The memory of computers is quite fascinating
and there is so much that goes into saving something on a computer. There are
different types of memory that is found on computers that is needed to make things
work and that would be acceptable to the user. The main two that is quite known in
the computer world would be Primary and Secondary memory. There are 2 types
that make up the Primary memory and that would be Random Access Memory
(RAM) and Read only memory (ROM). The secondary memory consists of a hard
disk drive, flash drive and zip drive. There are also optical discs that are included.
One thing that is special in terms of computers would be the Primary memory.
Primary memory is divided into 2 types. The first type would be random access
memory. RAM is in charge of keeping data in a stored area so that it can be reached
by the processor when necessary. RAM does a really good job at laying away data
in such a random basis. An article from the PC World have shown that in this
generation RAM has increased tremendously; it is said that A review of systems
that the PC World test center has grown from a little over 90 MB to about 2 GB,
spiking whenever Microsoft releases a new version of Windows (Stafford pg. 84).
RAM has 2 forms, they are Static RAM and Dynamic RAM. Static RAM

The glass ceiling is an expression used to describe the unseen barrier preventing
women and other minorities from reaching the top executive levels. This problem
solution research paper represents the allegations argued by the critics of the glass
ceiling accentuating on the reasons why women are not able to reach top positions,
such as lack of time and family responsibilities. However, it also represents ways to
shatter the glass ceiling such as offering formal educations for women, helping
women with dual roles, and applying proactive recruitment. It is based on several
studies and experiments aim to prove that women do have powerful skills that

Men are away from home, most of the time. Then why should women be forbidden

women can manage between the family responsibilities and the business life.
Furthermore, this world has developed and technology has pervaded it. Then, women

reason that supports why women should be treated equally. as men is the idea that
gender should not be taken as a discrimination tool. Gender the state of being a male

reason why females act differently than men is that they are raised in a way to behave

women are less than men mentally or biologically. In fact, some women do have
higher intelligence quotient higher than men. (Cowling Taylor, as cited in Jacques,
11. The Time Machine Historical Accuracy
Not many can dispute that the film version of The Time Machine, released in 1960
has a multitude of references to the wars in American History. The movie was
created in a different time period than the novel leading to the change in tone. In
1960 there was a lot of distrust and worry in the world. I find this movie attempts to
impart some of the feelings that the people in the 1960 s were feeling over war. I
contend that people were tiered of war and feeling insecure and scared. I believe this
filmwas produced to show that people wanted a way to stop the war. In my opinion,
George creates the time machineas a way to help end war and contribute to peace.
Watching Crash Course, I learned that the height of the cold war occurred in the
1960 s with events such as the Cuban Missile Crisis. I also learned that Europe was
the first battle ground of the cold war. It makes sense that this film has many
connotations to war as it was created in the midst of this time ... Show more content

a reference to a war in 1899 between Great Britain and two nations in South Africa.

Yes, accidents in a workplace are real and can occur anytime when immense care is

as workplace accident, or occupational accidents. On the other hand, Saari, (2009),

around the world. About 210,000 of these accidents are fatal while about 500 men

The ideas are termed to be necessary but not sufficient which can be used to develop
a frame of reference which an individual can use to define accidents and occur.
Theories of accidents
W. H. Heinrich developed the Domino theory in 1931. He stated that 88% of the
overall accidents were as a result of unsafe acts of people while 10% dangerous
actions. 2% of the accidents were purely the acts of God. He also proposed a five
factor accident sequence which includes ancestry and social environment, work fault,
unsafe act together with mechanical and physical hazards, accidents, and damage
(Ork Ridge National Laboratory, 2016).
Multiple causation theory, on the other hand, accounts that, for an accident to occur,
there are various factors involved and working at the same time. Contributing factors
include behavioral and environmental.
Pure chance theory, on the other hand, educates that everyone working at a
particular workstation is exposed to the possibility of being involved in an accident.
Biassed theory states that once a worker takes part in an accident, there is a bigger
chance that he will or will not be involved in another accident. Accident Proneness
theory states that within the workers in an organization, there is a set of employees
who are prone to accidents.
Types of accidents
Many work related accidents are usually minor in nature. For instance, they might be

In a capitalist world, a person can find themselves under various forms of
oppression depending upon what kind of identity they have. A person can be poor,
outside of the normative religion, outside of the normative race, or outside of the
normative perceptions of what success can look like. The struggle to survive and
overcome the oppression of these implicit and explicit norms is liberation.
However, individuals occupy more than one identity. There are black men, native
women, rich people of color, poor immigrants, and gay, middle class, black people.
Each of these multiple identities experiences their own forms of oppression.
Intersectionality is when social categorizations and their implications meet together
to create new types of oppressions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He saw the levels of incarceration, and the lynchings, and spoke about them.
However, he recognized the extra level of discrimination that was faced by black
women. The most disrespected woman in America, is the black woman. The most un
protected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in
America, is the black woman (Who Taught You To Hate Yourself).
Though he was subject to the torment of being a black man in America, he saw that
his male traits may have offered him some protections in comparison to his
feminine counterparts. To some extent, he saw that despite his own experiences, he
had privileges conferred on him because of his gender. This is where the single axis
fails to describe a type of oppression that affects a large population of people.
One of the biggest critiques of modern feminism is that it does not address the
specific oppressions that come from being a black woman in America. While it is
often held that women are paid 78 cents on the dollar compared to men doing the
same job, that number is even more disparate when combining racial factors (http:/
/www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0882775.html). That number is what white women make.
Black women earn 64 cents on the dollar for the same roles as their white male
20. The Renaissance Of The European Renaissance
During the European renaissance, humanist philosophers started to take a new
approach on education though reconnecting with ancient European civilization. They
stressed a change from irrational, traditional thought, to good logical arguments,
studying from religious texts and Aristotle (medieval scholasticism). This new
education, however, was to be for a purpose. They were to not only be
contemplators, but also public men , or being in service to the public. So, they
spread their ideas to the people by using the printing press, and within only a couple
of days their thoughts were spread throughout Europe. They were often punished by
the Catholic Church, which brought about famous works like The Prince, by
NiccolГІ Machiavelli, as referred... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He believed that because humans were granted free will, (while the angels were
not), and if one chooses to live a life as a righteous, spiritual thinker, then it is
definitely possible that they can be better than the angels. However, Pico also
thought that humans could condescend as low as animals and even worse. He first
explains, ...for it is not the bark that makes the tree, but its insensitive and
unresponsive nature; nor the hide which makes the beast of burden, but its brute
and sensual soul; nor the orbicular form which makes the heavens, but their
harmonious order. (Pico, 13) Here he uses several different examples to put his
point across. A tree is not a tree because of its bark, a beast is not a beast because of
its hide, and the heavens are not the heavens because of their shape. They are
themselves because of what they do. It is a tree because it is unresponsive and
insensitive, it is a beast because it is brute and sensual, and the heavens are the
heavens because they are harmonious in order. Pico then connects this to human
nature by saying, If you see a man dedicated to his stomach, crawling on the ground,
you see a plant and not a man; or

Listen up, this is the time that the government has passed the 18th amendment and
make all the intoxicating drinks to sell in store and to transport. The one reason the
passed the 18th amendment was when a lot of women was complaining about how
they were being beaten by the husbands when they were drunk. When they passed
the laws that did not stop people from selling beer and moonshine. The people
would make moonshine in distinct locations that no one knew where they had their

23. Switching To Nuclear Energy
People who support nuclear energy argue that it is an efficient source of energy.
This means that energy can be produced quickly and people can use it when they
need it. It makes enough energy to provide people with their desired needs. These
people also believe that it is easy to make the switch to nuclear power. That it is easy
to add power plants and switch to nuclear energy. People who agree with nuclear
energy believe that even though it takes carbon dioxideto create these power plants,
once they are running, they will cut down on CO2 emissions (1). It is very
deceiving because at first it appears like we would be eliminating the majority of
fossil fuels that are being burned. However, people don t realise that even though the

Building enough power plants to provide the world with energy would mean
increasing our CO2 production in the process of making them. Once the power
plants are built, although they don t use CO2 to produce energy, to keep the
factories running and transport all of the waste releases more CO2 (1). Switching to
renewable energy would progress us further into stopping climate change. We would
be cutting down on CO2 emissions by a much greater amount. This would make a
more significant difference on the climate change (1). This shows that using
renewables would make a larger impact on the world and how to help save it. The
Industry already has technology to switch to 100% renewables, they just don t want
to let go of their nuclear technology (4). Another danger of nuclear power is the risk
of terrorism and violence. People are worried that if violent protesters advance on
nuclear technology, the amount of violences will increase. This is another reason to
end our nuclear technology knowledge while we can (1). Furthermore, not only do
nuclear plants harm the industry and economy, they also harm the people and the
environment. The evidence is showing that being around nuclear radioactivity causes
people to have cancer. Not only does the radiation cause people to have cancer, but it
also damages their DNA. Additionally, it harms the environment, not just humans.

the two continents. Bordering the West and the East, Turkey is undeniably influenced

1. Compare and contrast The Matrix with the readings from Plato and Descartes.
What are some similarities and differences? After reading Platos The Allegory of the
Cave, Descartes Meditation I of the Things of Which We May Doubt, and the
synopsis of the movie The Matrix, they each challenge us on our perceptions of the
truth of reality and our ability to handle learning those truths. All three of these
works doubt the reality of the world around us; therefore questioning through our
senses if it is materialistic, objective or simply an illusion. In The Matrix movie,
the story depicts the human race trapped in a simulated, virtual or false reality that
is computer generated. Plato s Allegory of the Cave, the story depicts a group of
prisoners bound up in chains, being only able to perceive reality from the shadows
of figures on the walls as they presented. Socrates said, Then in every way such
prisoners would deem reality to be nothing else than the shadows of the artificial
object. (Plato) In Descartes Meditation, he questions our ability to know that the

from God! (HCSB) Through this biblical perspective, I am confident that
everything related to this earthly world is both real and tangible based on how we
perceive it through our senses. God not only tells us that He created the world
around us along with our senses to perceive it; but our senses can be deceived or
mislead, and that while here on Earth our senses are imperfect. Our text sums it up
nicely with While it is true that we can be misled by our senses, it is also true that
they give us good information more than not. (Dew and Foreman, 2014, p.

My head swiveled in every direction, overwhelmed by the euphoric commotion that
flooded into the theatre. At that moment, I couldn t help but smile... a smile that
would soon fade. This time can we tell the truth? Right off the bat, the Scottsboro
Boysset the tone. Nine African American boys falsely accused of raping two white
females on a train in Alabama during the 1930 s. It came as no surprise that truth and
injustice were woven into the plot. Yet, the manifestation of these corruptions
develops through the incomparable resilience and integrity displayed by the
Scottsboro Boysin this production. Against all odds, they never wavered in their
struggle for freedom, exhibiting unmatched perseverance and aligning themselves
with the truth. To start, one of the many things that stood out to me was The Lady
who was mysteriously present in every scene. Without lines until the very end of the
performance, it was like she was watching and learning from the play simultaneously
with audience. Initially, I couldn t pinpoint the importance of her role in the
production, yet along with

How do you think you would deal with death? Would the death of a close family

my family was invincible. The bad things we would hear about in life like death,
or an illness only happened to those around us. I never really wondered why, but I
felt my family and myself were always safe. I went from day to day not realizing
the impact that the death of a loved one would have on the remaining family
members. According to my friends, I was the spoiled girl next door. They

life. Although I did miss my father at times, he was not home very much, it seemed

wanted, for the most part I was happy. I had no idea that my life as I knew it was
about to change. It all started one Wednesday evening. I had noticed that my dad
was home extra early from work. I could see the troubled look on his face as him and
my mother went into the den and shut the door. I did not give it much thought at the
time. I swept what curiosity I

they have exhibited the different elements at different points. One good example is
the point of spending time together at different stages. Samuel is present during her

32. Database Management System ( Dbms )
A database management system or DBMS is a certain type of system software,
which is used for the creation, and management of databases. A DBMS serves for
multiple purposes but is mainly used to provide users and programmers with a
systematic way to retrieve, create, manage, and update data. A DBMS serves as an
interface between data and its end user, making sure that data is consistently
organized and remains easily accessible to users. DBMS s are vital to several
aspects of our technological world and are responsible for the data organization of
several thriving industries in this world including banking, airlines, wealth
management, manufacturers, credit card companies, and telecommunications. A
DBMS is useful for providing a view of data that can be accessed by multiple users,
from multiple locations at one time. A DBMS can act as a filter and can limit what
a user sees and also sets limits on how that user can view data. Users and
programmers are free from having to determine where the data is physically
located or on what type of storage media it resides because the DBMS simply deals
with all requests. The DBMS can give both logical and physical data independence,
which means that it can protect its users or applications from needing to know where
data is stored. Although a DBMS benefits several sectors of the world, they are by far
most beneficial in business organizations. Thousands of companies depend on
accurate recordings, updates, and tracking of their data
33. The Ultimate Test For Any Idea
EPR Paradox
The ultimate test for any idea, ranging from abstract philosophical concepts to
objective scientific theories, is the reality. What makes us to believe whether
something is right or wrong is how much that thing is compatible with reality. In
physics, reality is the direct result of an experiment; thus, we are forced to think
about reality as observable reality . In fact, the distinction between reality and
observable reality is extremely important, since as a consequence of this
distinction, a logically correct theory may not necessary be correct while a logically
non satisfying theory may be completely correct (if it is also able to predict the
result of a series of experiments). Reality can encompasses any logical idea whether
observable or unobservable, but observable reality consist of only observable
phenomena whether or not they seem logical. In the case of Einstein s gedanken
experiment concerning Quantum Mechanics known as EPR or EPR Paradox we face
the exact same difficulty; either taking EPR s word for believing in logically
desirable physical explanations, or just relying on experiments results and their
consistency with quantum mechanics which are far from being logically satisfying.
In this paper, I shall tackle both EPR gedanken experiment and the results of an
experiment that contrasts EPR logical statements in order to see if I can address the
EPR paradox once for all. In Can Quantum Mechanical Description of Physical

Training CDs were used by the schedulers to familiarize themselves with the new
program. They were able to take these CDs home and were paid for a total of five
hours of training. New computers were purchased for each office scheduler and
also for the on call scheduler. A networking system was set up with a router and
wireless networking software. Evaluation of the new program is the last step in
the decision making model. The program had to be evaluated to determine its
success in solving the problem. The program has proven to be very effective and
has resulted in a higher efficiency rate and higher patient satisfaction. The program
has also cut back considerably on the man power and time needed to accomplish

35. America Needs Censorship Essay
Being frustrated is disagreeable, but the real disasters in life begin when you get what
you want. For almost a century now, a great many intelligent, well meaning and
articulate people have argued eloquently against any kind of censorship of art and
entertainment. Within the past twenty years, courts and legislatures have found these
arguments so persuasive that censorshipis now a relative rarity in most states.
Is there triumphant exhilaration in the land? Hardly. Somehow, things have not
worked out as they were supposed to, and many civil libertarians have said this was
not what they meant. They wanted a world in which Eugene O Neill s Desire under
the Elms could be produced, or James Joyce s Ulysses published, without interference.

That those who certainly know this are moved to deny it merely indicates how a
dogmatic resistance to the idea of censorship can result in a mindless insistence on the
absurd.
For the plain fact is that we all believe that there is a point at which the public
authorities ought to step in to limit the self expression of an individual or a group. A
theatrical director might find someone willing to commit suicide on the stage. We
would not allow that. And I know of no one who argues that we ought to permit
public gladiatorial contests, even between consenting adults.
No society can be utterly indifferent to the ways its citizens publicly entertain
themselves. Bearbaiting and cockfighting are prohibited only in part out of
compassion for the animals; the main reason is that such spectacles, were felt to
debase and brutalize the citizenry who flocked to witness them. The question with
regard to pornography and obscenity is whether they will brutalize and debase our
citizenry. We are, after all, not dealing with one book or one movie. We are dealing
with a general tendency that is suffusing our entire culture.
Pornography s whole purpose, it seems to me, is to treat human beings obscenely, to
deprive them of their specifically human dimension. Imagine a well known man in a
hospital ward, dying an agonizing death. His bladder and bowels empty themselves
of their own accord. His consciousness is

For my research paper, I will be studying the work and paintings of Jacob
Lawrence. Jacob Lawrence was an American painter and was very highly

1917. When he was the age of two his mother deposited him and his two younger
siblings in foster care in Philadelphia after his parents divorced. When he was
thirteen he went to work in New York City and there he went to join his mother. He
also spent fifteen years teaching as a professor at the University of Washington.
Lawrence was also widely known for producing narrative collections such as the
Migration Series and War Series. Shortly after Lawrence had arrived there, he was
introduced to art when his mother had enrolled him in Utopia Children s Center,
which then had an after school art program. At the age of 16 he dropped out of
school and took classes at the Harlem Art Workshop where it was taught by Charles
Ashton and he very often visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 1937, he won
a scholarship to the American Artist School in New York. When he graduated in
1939 he had received funding from the Works Progress Administration Federal Art

is then when he began to create his narrative series; where he would paint about 30

38. Reasons The Roman Empire Crumble
The Main reasons the Roman Empire Crumbled
The Roman Empire was one of the greatest empires in that era until something
major happened. The Roman military became lazy because of how much freedom
the citizens got in their life with the Huns. So what were the key reasons on how
the Roman Empire to crumble? Rome crumbled because of its military problems
in the army, foreign invasions that attacked Rome, and their poor political
leadership in the government. Of these, the most important reason was poor
political leadership in the government. Problems in the military such as armor and
loss of soldier because the Roman Emperor told his troops, that it was an option
not to wear breastplates and not to do parade drills. These poor decisions from the
Roman government and empire lead to Rome became taken over by the Huns. But
the Roman citizens became overjoyed when the Huns took over, this led Rome
crumble. Roman foot soldiers were a key part of the military, but before the year 400
CE, Roman foot soldiers became negligent and lazy. Eventually, the foot soldiers
abandoned parade ground drills (Document B). This hurts the military and the Roman
empire, but it became worse when the foot soldiers asked the emperor to set aside
breastplates, and then their helmets (Document B). When these changes took place,
the soldiers of Rome fought the Goths without any protection for their chests and
heads, which often made the soldiers vulnerable to archers as the foot soldiers died

40. Causes Of The Stonewall Riots
Another cause of the riots was the mistreatment of the arrested patrons from the
police. The patrons taunted the police as they were paraded out into the streets to the
wagon waiting to transport them to the police station. As the patrons left the Inn, they
struck poses towards the crowd as the people showered the police and arrested with
coins. One notable drag queen, stopped and posed, only to get pushed roughly into
the wagon by police. This is when the crowd noticeably got angrier, and began to
throw trash and stones. (Truscott).
A number of incidents were happening simultaneously. There was no one thing that
happened or one person, there was just... a flash of group, of mass anger (Wright).
It is agreed on though, that as the mass of people grew, so did the collective anger of
the people. Gay people were pissed off that the Stonewall had been busted and its
patrons had been arrested and harassed by the cops. There was a riot going on. They
weren t going to take it anymore. (Truscott).
While the riot grew over a span of 45 minutes, it lasted for six days. A multiracial
lot of poor gay teens, many living on the streets because they had been tossed out of
homes or ran away from abuse, taunted the cops with abandon. Transvestites who
camped and mocked the cops while striking blows with spiked heels showed that
defiance and humor could be complementary. (Wolf). Drag queens strutted down
streets, kicking in chorus lines to mock the police. (Eilperin). The crowd erupted,

Our city is called New Nashville, with a population of about 13,000. Our city is
loosely based on Nashville, TN; so our climate is hot and humid, as well as the
geography being low and flat. We also have a river that goes through the the upper
part of town. With the geography being so perfect for parks, our economy is largely
spent on parks for all ages, community centers, and other buildings that usually go
into residential areas. Our city has a very peculiar set up; where our commercial
and residential are together, but our industrial buildings are as far away as possible.
We decided to set it up this way because we wanted to ensure that no pollution
would harm our residents. Our residential and commercial areas consist of houses,
shops, religious centers, schools, libraries, parks, and entertainment places.
Meanwhile, the industrial area is full of many successful companies, as well as solar
power buildings, water towers, and low pollution garbage and sewage buildings.
The infrastructure in Nashville isn t what one would call the most unique at first;
because we have the normal facilities that most cities have. However, when you
look closer, you ll discover that we have spent much money on police, hospitals,
and fire stations; to ensure the safety of our residents. After, we decided to add as
many schools and ways of transportation as we could; to make sure our city s
residents are educated and can get around. Then we added the entertainment
centers, like parks, malls, etc. The way we set up our infrastructure was very
important for our city, as we tried to make sure that the number one priority was
safety. This took a large chunk out of our budget; but it greatly reduced our crime,
fire, and death rate; and brought up the schooling rates; we had to make sure that
our residents were okay. In the end, taxes was low, people s needs were filled, and
everyone was very happy with New Nashville. However, not all people s needs were
filled. The elderly population still goes through lots of trouble everyday.
Our city will incorporate a variety of futuristic events. The first of which is a virtual
reality display that is meant for elder people. Although this seems a frivolous detail, it
would in fact

predation, decreased breeding and unknown reasoning. The true remarkable feature
the fox has adapted to, to keep this steady population number, urban environments
has done this by changing its breeding requirements to fit the mortality rates that
occur in urban areas. The urban fox, as written previously in this document, says,
To make up for such a high rate of mortality, the foxes have larger litters (an average
of seven or more cubs compared with an average of less than five in townfoxes), and
all the vixens will breed, whereas each year about 25% of the vixens in urban areas
will not, (Baker, P and Harris, S 2009. p10 11), sufficient reasoning to keep a stable

Only 10.9% of people felt that there should be no methods of control incorporated
into the council or private schemes and that they should be left alone. The other
89.1% thought that there should be a cull on the foxes and this was divided by
different methods of control. Catch and release being the most popular method used.
This conclusion also backs up the decision that education about the fox is more
necessary, as the price of culling and solutions is expensive and causes more stress
than good to the fox. By releasing a fox in a place that they are not used to or don t
know how to survive in then there will be an influx in deaths and who is to say they
won t re inhabit another urban area by travelling to such destination.
The results also show that within the urban environment, the people who did the
survey, back up the point made that a solution should be implemented and is
necessary as a result of the impact these foxes have in urban areas, as only 25% of the
people said they feel the fox should be left alone and no method of control was
necessary.
From this document I have concluded that it is imperative for the work of the
government and the councils to include some way of understanding peoples
responses and desires to how safe they feel living in close proximity with the fox. I
reviewed many pieces of literature, gained quantitative research and qualitative
