two dimensional painting on canvas. The painting is not an exact rendering of the
St. John s River but an impression of it. Like many paintings done in the
impressionistic style it s not so much about what the artist paints. It s more about
what the viewer sees and feels when he/she looks at the painting that is the most
important. What stood out the most to me about this painting was the reflective
colors and how the water almost appeared to move as you looked at it. With the
use of just four apparent colors the artist created a warm welcoming painting that
invites you in. The artist organized the painting in four diagonal rows the white
row being the thinnest and there is a clearly define line separating each of the
colors. Off to the top left there appears to be an unseen source of light which only
adds to the brilliance of the colors. This lights source gives the water its reflective
quality. Creating the illusion of depth are the oil black spots in the water. These spots
are the focal point of the painting. At a first glance you may notice two maybe three
but there are five dots throughout the painting the two larger ones which are the ones
you will notice first, but then near the top of the painting just off center

As some of you may or may not know, I used to be a Pro Dominatrix. The list of

Earthquakes have the potential to destroy and cause a lot of harm or they just make
the ground shake a little. Sometimes earthquakes with low magnitudes cause a lot of
harm, and a high magnitude one causes a small amount of damage. This usually isn t
the case. Two Earthquakes with high magnitudes each caused a different amount of
damage. These two are the earthquakethat happened in Sumatra, Indonesia in
December 26, 2004, and the earthquake that happened in Rat Island , Alaska in April
2, 1965.
The Rat Island earthquake had the magnitude of 8.7, and the Sumatra earthquake had
the magnitude of 9.1. While both of these are high magnitudes but the one in Sumatra
was devastating, while the one in Rat Island made a small amount of damage.

Causes Of The Crusades
The Crusades had multiple goals, many of which were far from reality. Over the
years, the actual actions and motivations of the Crusaders shifted farther and farther
from the initial message outlined by Pope Urban II. The first Crusade was launched
in 1095 at the Council of Clermont. In his speech, Urban II called for men to come
to the aid of those in the East. This had a two fold goal: to strengthen and protect the
eastern empire, but also to protect Christianity and its interests against Islam. In
addition, Urban II also had a motivation that was closer to home. The Crusades
