Brief Analyzing for A Rose for Emily
A Rose for Emily is a short horror, tragedy story which contains an interesting
connection between its point of view and its plot, moreover, characters, and setting
where the story takes a place, have a portion of making it a noteworthy story. William
Faulkner, who wrote A Rose for Emily set it to present a picture of a lonely woman
from Mississippi who expires to mental illness. The tragedy in this story is how the
main character is manipulated by her father; this leaves her incapable of having a
role in the modern world. After she went insane from living as a recluse, she kept
the corpse of a man that she murdered in an upper room of her house. The horror part
of it symbolizes that she was not ready to lose him and cannot accept the fact that
everything does change.
There is not much to say about plot in A Rose for Emily . Usually, plot in a story
starts with the initial situation, conflict, complication, climax, suspense, denouement,
and conclusion. However, it is not the case here. A great writer such as Faulkner
could easily play with the events arrangement to add some excitement to the story.
The plot in the story is not a sequence of events instead its much about telling the life
story of Miss Grierson in a camera record way; that means it only shows what the

we see in movies. It started with people freaking out then after a few weeks settling
