The novella and movie A River Runs Through It show a few different motifs. A
motif is a theme that keeps showing up as symbols. Three of the motifs were family,
water, and hands.

Blackness in a White Cinematic Context The late 20th century brought a new form
of Black representation to Cinema. During the 1980 s, Black characters in
Hollywood films were put into new cinematic contexts. Unlike the Blaxploitation
films of the decade, Hollywood used other narrative and visual strategies of
containment for Black actors and characters (Guerrero 237). Hollywood films
were now giving a Black star top billing in a film in which he or she is completely

the 80 s, this movie was among the first in the genre of buddy films, released in

On September 9th, 2016 I had the pleasure of attending a concert, where I saw
Adonis Puentas and the Voice of Cuba, at Grant park. The music being played
introduced the sounds of an entirely different culture to my ears. Accompanying the

I will organize my classroom as displayed in the diagram above. I will have an
instructional loop so that I will be able to access all of my students easily. In my
classroom, I will have a collaborative table so that I will be able to work with a
group of students at a time while others are working at their chairs. There will be
room in front of the smart board so that students will be able to stand up and move
around to use that instructional tool while I am educating them. As a class, the
circle time area will be used daily. Where the student cubbies are, I will also have
center items in the top cubbies that the students can take to their desk to work on

rung and all students are in their chairs completing their bell work. To check roll, I

Big data is a term used to define the amount of data, structures and unstructured, so
huge that traditional data base managements techniques are rendered useless and
the storage and analytics of this data pose a problem. There are various types of
big data and big data can be defined in four Vs, which are: Volume, Velocity, Variety
and Veracity. The problem is solved by Google
Distributed File System, an
application that google created for it s own use to automatically store data.
With the amount of big data multiplying every minute, technologies like cloud
computing came into picture, in many, Hadoop is one which stands out. Hadoop is
an open source platform where big data can be stored, managed and even used.
Organisations like Amazon and LinkedIn use the Hadoop framework to connect to it
s customers.
Another new technology is MapReduce. MapReduce maps the input data and
provides it to the user as output in a reduced form due to the clusters of computers
working in parallel to individually process the data.
With the further growth of data more technologies will be explored and if we

After reading Charlotte Perkins Gilman`s short story The Yellow Wallpaper and
having carefully analyzed the text, I am leaning towards a diagnosis of, major
depressive disorder. The observed symptoms, which the protagonist seems to line
up with the following symptoms listed in for Major depressive disorder in the
DSM 5 checklist provided in the book (Comer, 2014). In the short story, the

For a long period, those suffering from disorders were not given the most adequate
treatments. In fact, it was believed that those with mental illnesses were possessed
by demons or were accused of witchcraft because of their abnormal behavior
(Comer, 2014). Later on new solutions for these illnesses rise. Those with mental
disorders would either get operations called trephinations (Comer, 2014) or were
locked away in a hospital, which is exactly what happened to the protagonist of this
short story The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman

protagonist was not locked up away in a hospital, but she was locked up in a room
in her house because of her husband, a physician, believed this would help cure her
depression. Unfortunately, his treatment did not the way he expected. But recently,
changes have been made, and breakthroughs in the cause and treatment of mental

Taylor was able to seize political power due to his paper, and he utilized the paper
to trumpet the achievements of his own political machine and its fight for the
farmers. (McDonald, 25) This marriage between politics and the media tied the
success of The Producers News to the success of the radical government.
Moreover, the Producers News became more leftwing and communist. This opened
the way for their opponents to utilize similar rhetoric to demonize and lambaste
both the paper and the local government. The anticommunist Plentywood Herald
was established as a way to counteract the Producers News. Furthermore, the
Hearald was able to capitalize on political scandals such as the robbery of the

The first article read that discusses the topic of structured recess for this literature
review was Behavioral School Psychology Goes Outdoors: The Effect of Organized
Games on Playground Aggression written by H. Murphy, J. Hutchison, and J. Bailey
from Florida State University. While conducting this researchproject, there was a
focus placed on the inappropriate, largely aggressive behavior of the students on the
playground prior to the beginning of the schoolday. In this quantitative research study,
the researchers studied the behavior of 344 k 2 students while on the playground
before the beginning of the school day. It was observed that the students were very
aggressive with each other during the time they were on the playground before the
start of the school day. The purpose of this study was to see if When dealing with
large groups, antecedent environmental manipulation may be more practical than
providing consequences for the behavior exhibited by identified individuals (Murphy,

/nutrition. A person needs to eat breakfast, lunch (largest meal), and supper. Each

Social Factors
Maria is very socially orientated with her family and friends. She loves to get on
Facebook to share her family s photos and family s accomplishments. Her friends
mainly consist of people she sees every Sunday and Wednesday. She calls her
sisters her best friends. She speaks to her sisters, mother, and grandmother at least
once a day. The women are socially connected on a deeper level than the men. All
