The beluga whale is a small, white whale found in Arctic and subarctic waters. They can be identified by their pure white skin and small size compared to other whales. Adult females typically weigh around 907 kg while males weigh around 1,361 kg. Belugas live for about 13 years and inhabit Arctic seas, feeding on plankton by foraging along the seabed. Their habitat is threatened by environmental changes and depletion of food sources in their native waters.
