Automatic toll collection system (presentation)Rohan Kale
ATCS is an Automated Toll Collection System used for collecting tax automatically. A vehicle will hold an RFID tag. This tag is nothing but unique identification number assigned. This will be assigned by RTO or traffic governing authority. In accordance with this number we will store, all basic information as well as the amount he has paid in advance for the TOLL collection. Reader will be strategically placed at toll collection center. Whenever the vehicle passes the toll Plaza, the tax amount will be deducted from his prepaid balance. New balance will be updated. Incase if one has insufficient balance, his updated balance will be negative one. To tackle this problem, we are alarming a sound, which will alert the authority that this vehicle doesn’t have sufficient balance and that particular vehicle can be trapped. As vehicles don’t have to stop in a queue, it assures time saving, fuel conservation and also contributing in saving of money.

ATCS usually known as “Automated Toll Collection System” is a new technology for collecting toll in a faster and more efficient way. It is a great alternative to long waiting at manual toll plazas. In order to overcome the wastage of time and fuel at same time we have come up with a concept of RFID based automated toll collection system using Arduino. RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification; these cards are unique identities provided to every vehicle by Registration Office at each city. Whenever a vehicle with such Unique ID reaches the toll plaza, the RFID card reader attached on the toll plaza gate reads the card and transfers the unique ID to Arduino ATmega 328. Accordingly, the processor works and deducts a fixed money from the prepaid card. If the card’s ID is valid and has sufficient balance, the processor will command the DC motor to start and open the gate, letting the vehicle to pass. On passing from the gate the screen will show the deducted and current balance of the card. If the card is not valid or low in balance, it will prompt to move the vehicle to manual toll collection lane. Furthermore, a message will be sent to the owner’s registered mobile number with the same details along with the location of the toll booth.
Parking management systems have now become a necessity to guide people in a parking place and ensure efficient parking of vehicles. It allows managing the traffic and keep the parking space safe.

My Final Year Project during my study at UniKL BMI - Bachelor Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Electrical. Project title: Extension Cable for AC Power Supply from Solar Power.
In this project “RFID based Car Parking System” we have shown the concept of an automatic car parking system. As in the modern world everything is going automatic we have built a system which will automatically sense the entry and exit of cars through the gate and then display the number of cars in the parking lot.
Check-ins and check-outs will be handled in a fast manner without having to stop the cars so that traffic jam problem will be avoided during these processes. Since there won't be any waiting during check-ins and check-outs the formation of emission gas as a result of such waiting will be avoided. Therefore, by this project we develop a parking system for an organization to have automated parking system for making best use of space, decreasing the man power and providing authentication for the vehicles from avoiding the theft.
Even we can set a maximum capacity of cars .We have developed a microcontroller which is used to sense the movement of cars and depending upon whether there is a capacity of cars to enter, it either opens the gate or not. It is also possible to open a gate when any car enters in the parking lot or close the door when a car exits from the parking lot with help of RFID.
There are two sets of sensors: one on the first gate (entry gate) and one on the second gate (exit gate). When a car arrives at the door the microcontroller receives the signal from the entry sensors and then checks whether there is a capacity of cars to be accommodated. Simultaneously it will also display the number of cars present in the parking lot on a LCD screen and also opens the gate. When a car moves out of the parking area the microcontroller reduces the count displayed accordingly and also closes the gate .The sensing of entry and exit of cars is done with the help of Infrared transmitters and receivers. Before the door the Infrared transmitter is mounted on one side and the receiver is placed directly in front of the transmitter across the door. When a car arrives the Infrared beam is blocked by the car and the receiver is devoid of Infrared rays and its output changes. This change in output is sensed by the microcontroller and accordingly it increments the count and opens the door if there is some capacity. The procedure for the exit of the cars is similar as the entry.
Two technologies for automatic number plate recognition, RFID vs ANPR technology.
The following compares two main automatic number-plate recognition technologies, RFID vs ANPR in six aspects: resource allocation, detection rate, data accuracy, environmental tolerance, multi-channel processing, and security.
Security is one of the key features of automated vehicle identification systems, especially in the tollhouse and parking lot charging business.
What is ANPR?
ANPR is an automatic number plate recognition system.
Today, automatic number plate recognition systems (ANPRs) are also commonly used to identify vehicles, but people are paying more attention to two aspects of ANPR. One is the high error rate of automatic vehicle recognition, and the other is the government in ANPR technology spending.
Applying radio frequency identification technology to vehicle identification systems can solve the technical and economic problems faced by automatic vehicle identification systems in a safer and more economical way.

Abstract— ATSRT is a Programmed Tolling Framework utilizing RFID Innovation is utilized for gathering charge
naturally. In this we do the recognizable proof with the assistance of radio recurrence. A vehicle will hold a RFID tag. This
tag is only one of a kind recognizable proof number doled out. This will be appointed by RTO or movement overseeing
authority. In understanding with this number we will store, all essential data and in addition the sum he has paid ahead of
time for the TOLL gathering. Peruser will be deliberately passed at toll accumulation focus. At whatever point the vehicle
passes the tollbooth, the duty sum will be deducted from his prepaid adjust. New adjust will be overhauled. In the event that
on the off chance that one has inadequate adjust, he should pay the expense in real money. As vehicles don't need to stop in
a line, this means diminished Activity clog at toll courts and aides in lower fuel utilization. This is critical preferred
standpoint of this framework.

NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN CONDENSING HEAT EXCHANGERS...ssuser7dcef0
Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.
Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

3. What is ATC System?
The Automatic Toll Collection
(ATC) System is a new toll
system designed to enhance
convenience for drivers by
enabling cashless toll
collection and thus Reducing
congestion at High-way
tollgates.
4. Avoid the fuel loss.
Saving of time in collecting toll.
Avoid financial loss.
Reduce longer waiting time in a toll queue
Provide traveler ease of toll payment
Reduce illegal toll gate entry
5. Transmission of data is performed optically- hence, clear line of
sight is required
Information storage is limited (upto 1 Mb)
Read only one tag at a time
Read capability can be affected by dirt, water and scuffing
Reduced security
6. Communicates through radio waves, line of sight not required
RFID tags store significantly more information (upto 2 Mb)
RFID is dynamic and information can be added or deleted at every
step in the supply chain
Increased functionality: covert and difficult to counterfeit
Read multiple tags at once
7. RFID is a technology to identify and authenticate tags that are us
attached on vehicles.
Each user holds a unique id for his vehicle, when user scans his
ID, some amount is charged from his account depending upon his
vehicle category.
This system depends on three devices
Tag: Transponder
RF Reader: Antenna
In-Lane Computer
8. • An RFID tag, or transponder, consists of
a chip and an antenna.
• The microchip contains memory and logic
circuits to receive and send data back to the
reader.
• Each tag contains an identification
number, data identifying the issuing
agency, tag type, a description of the
•vehicle, and other agency-specific data.
• The RFID Tag is mounted on windshield
of vehicle.
9. Active Tags
• Tag transmits radio signal
• Battery powered memory,
radio & circuitry
• High Read Range (100
meters)
• Bulky, Expensive
• Can last over 10 years
Passive Tags
• Tag reflects radio signal
from reader
• Reader powered
• Shorter Read Range (10cm –
5 meters)
• Can be packed small, light,
inexpensive
• Can last generally from 2 to
7 years
10. Reader
• A reader contains an antenna
to transmit and receive data
from the tag.
• The reader also contains a
decoder and an RF module. It
could be mounted or built as a
portable handheld device.
11. In Lane Computer
• The In Lane Computer checks
the data against a database of
valid tags and active accounts,
deducts the appropriate toll
from the customer’s account,
and approves passage or raises
a tollgate to allow the vehicle
to pass through the toll plaza.

13. Working
• As a vehicle approaches a
toll plaza, the radio-
frequency (RF) field emitted
from the antenna activates
the transponder.
• The transponder broadcasts
a signal back to the
lane antenna with some basic
information.
That information is
transferred from the lane
antenna to the central
database.
14. •If the account is in good
standing, a toll is deducted from
the driver's prepaid account.
• If the toll lane has a gate, the
gate opens.
• A green light indicates that the
driver can proceed.
15. Entire process takes a matter of seconds to complete.
Electronic system records transaction, including the time,
date, plaza and toll charge of each vehicle.
Safe Transaction (Less chances of Corruption)
16. •If RFID fails whole system fails. The RFID system we are
here using for detecting the vehicle number means the
vehicle identity which we are further using for storing
into memory & also to display on the LCD.
•If the RFID fails to detect the correct identity of the
vehicle the data regarding the vehicle will be wrong which
will may create many problems & system fails.
17. By doing automation of toll plaza we can have the best solution
over money loss at toll plaza by reducing the man power required
for collection of money and also can reduce the traffic indirectly
resulting in reduction of time at toll plaza.
In our paper, we have introduced the techniques such as Radio
Frequency Identification. This technique will include the RFID tag
& reader which in coordination with each other can be used to
detect the vehicle identity.
By effectively utilizing this technique at different stages of our
project we are able to represent the automation in toll plaza which
will reduce the complete processing time by few seconds which is
very important as well as helps to reduce money leakage in a very
cost effective manner.
