President Roosevelt Hypertension
Background
As late as about seven decades ago, elevated blood pressure was considered by many expert
physicians to be necessary for the adequate perfusion of vital organs. It was deemed as an
unavoidable, hence essential, component of the aging process leading to the coining of the term
essential hypertension . High blood pressure (BP) was considered as probable natural and necessary
compensatory phenomenon that should be left alone even if there were effective treatments (Hay,
1931; White, 1937). This notion was further strengthened by the observed elevated misery and
premature death recorded for the patients that were treated for hypertension with the few drugs that
were available at the time compared to those that were left untreated (Goldring, ... Show more content

For instance, the onetime US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt was given a clean bill of health by his
physician even when his BP was recorded as approximately 220/120. A few years later while at Yalta,
Winston Churchill s personal physician noted in his diary that President Roosevelt appeared to be
have had signs of hardening of the arteries disease and had a few months to live. Subsequent events
demonstrated the truth of his diagnosis. President Roosevelt ultimately had a fatal hemorrhagic stroke
2 months later, and his death brought hypertension s potential as a deadly malady to the lime light
(Mahmood, Levy, Vasan, Wang, 2014). Three years after Roosevelt s death, the pivotal National Heart
Act was signed into law by President Truman. The Act created the path for the study of heart diseases
and resulted in several studies including the Framingham Heart Study. The Framingham studies
consistently showed that hypertension, such as hyperlipidemia, was associated with many
cardiovascular morbidities such as stroke, heart failure, and heart attacks leading to premature deaths
and the risk was clearly higher with higher blood pressure (systolic and diastolic). Even before the
Framingham studies, many insurance companies had already begun measuring BP for policyholders
physical examinations. Furthermore, several studies done by the Actuarial Society of America pointed
toward the higher morbidity and mortality associated with higher BP (Kannel, Wolf, Veter,
McNamara, 1970; Kannel, Schwartz, McNamara,

The Four Frames
To be considered an effective leader, it is known to utilize multiple frames. The four frames: Structural
Leadership, Human Resource Leadership, Political Leadership, and Symbolic Leadership. Each of
these leadership consist of different characteristics, principles, and standards which are practiced to
gain efficient leaders. Rosabeth Moss Kanter, a business professor at Harvard Business School has
expressed how these four frames are effective by examples during her interview.
Structural Leadership involves the leader possessing characteristics, such as, focusing on
implementation, can be powerful and stable, and emphasizes on shared goals. Kanter, concentrates on
strategy, innovation, and leadership for change (57). In addition, she shared her ideas with other
companies of how to implement change to their culture and structure (58). Through these changes,
these organizations would be able to execute the conventional ideas and move from unconventional
ideas. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kanter demonstrated these qualities during her interview. For example, she has high interest in
practicing participative management. Her example of implementing was to participate more while
empowering the people for high productivity (58). Her view of empowerment was to widen the
peoples knowledge base and motivate them to do things they thought they were incapable of
accomplishing. Human Resource Leadership tend to their subordinates and would like to maintain that
relationship. Furthermore, the would like to be known as being accessible to their employees. Kanter s
perspective on this principle was to obtain the peoples inputs to maintain that relationship, by allowing
to them to feel they are valued and awarded by the

Developing Self-Awareness Is a Requirement for All...
Developing self awareness as a counsellor is considered central to many of the mainstream theoretical
approaches (Mcleod, 2009, p624). I will argue that without the development of self awareness neither
a trainee nor qualified counsellor can meet the core conditions set out in most theoretical approaches
to counselling, congruence, empathy and unconditional positive regard. I will also argue that
counselling trainees need to experience the role of client themselves before they can take others on the
same road to self discovery. To answer the benefits and difficulties of the counselling trainee
developing self awareness whilst practicing skills in triads I will argue the feedback received from
fellow peers can be very beneficial to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sanders (2011) argues that By talking about ourselves as honestly as we can in a safe environment and
listening to the feedback from others, we can check whether the view we have of ourselves is the one
received by others (Sanders, 2011, p61). Feedback not only raises our awareness to what we say but,
and perhaps more importantly, how we say it our non verbal communication. The influence of non
verbal communication on a clients view of their counsellor can be taught, but I was amazed at just
how unaware I was of my own body language. During my first few triads I could not control my
hands, eventually opting to sit on them which was perceived as uncomfortable and a result of my
nervousness. Receiving feedback gives us a chance to change and modify in order to communicate
more effectively (Tolan Lendrum, 1995, p30) and creates awareness of the importance of effective
communication when building a genuine relationship with your client. Receiving feedback can also
raise our awareness of the value of receiving genuine feedback itself, as well as a need to sensitively
communicate feedback to others. This also creates a greater sense of empathy toward others. Triads
also enable the trainee to receive feedback from a variety of different people, not just their tutor. The
diversity found within a training group will be reflected back to the trainee within feedback received.

Christopher Columbus And The Era Of The Americas
Many people think of Christopher Columbus as the person who discovered the Americas. However,
Leif Ericson, a Norseman or Viking, was the first European to see the Americas. Columbus was born
to Domenico Colombo and Susanna Fontanarossa sometime between August 25 and October 31, 1451
in Italy near Genoa (Heat Moon 4). Columbus had four other siblings (Phillips 64). Columbus
childhood was a tough one, even though he had a great parental guidance. Columbus grew up in a
medieval world exhausted by war and bigotries, religious corruption and intolerance, a time of
widespread spiritual dissolution and social pessimism, a continent deeply in need of a rebirth (Heat
Moon 5). The era of which Columbus lived in was really in need of a make over. The way people
acted, their decisions, and the changes in their religion were not acceptable to any standard. That time
period was very boring and depressing and it was difficult to be happy. Christopher spent some of his
early years at his father s trade of weaving and later he became a sailor on the Mediterranean [Sea] (
Christopher Columbus ). By the time he was 31 or 32, Christopher had become a master mariner in
the Portuguese Merchant Service ( Christopher Columbus ). Later in life, Columbus had married Doña
Felipa Perestrello o Moníz (Heat Moon 7). After eight years of persistence and two rejections from
Portugal, Columbus was granted the finance needed to complete the voyage from Spain ( Christopher
Columbus ). He wanted

Persuasive Essay On Global Warming
Our world has adapted to the changes that come with our personal actions. Many of these actions
initiated around the time of The industrial revolution and the advances in technology generated issues
such as pollution. As time went on, one conflict became more evident, global warming. Global
warming is when there is a rise in the average temperature of the Earth s climate system.
Environmental policies should be more enforced in order to make progress in our environments
because global warming alters ecosystems and generates danger to human life. People should also be
able to contribute in a positive way because global warming also causes changes in things such as sea
levels, temperature, diseases,etc.
The individuals that currently reside on planet earth carry out harmful actions that have generated
issues such as climate change. The Earth s average temperature has increased over the last decade and
has affected agricultural aspects around the world. In areas where farming takes place, water is
essential in order to sustain crops. Climate change alters the way farmers take care of their crops
because water has become more scarce throughout the years . As the extremities in weather patterns
becomes more common, more frequent droughts are bound to occur. People in urban areas depend on
food that derives from rural areas, therefore climate change is a threat to us. Colder environments are
also affected by climate because many ice glaciers are rapidly melting.

Psychoanalyticism In The Tempest
The Tempest Critical Essay
During this course of the play the psychoanalytical criticism can be applied while reading the scenes
in The Tempest. As Freud argues that all humans have a dark side to them, we tend to hide this side of
us as we get older. In the Tempest, Caliban could represent this uncontrolled side of human nature.
Caliban is seen to be the superego which is can be seen to be evident when he does not wish to receive
Prospero s physical punishments. Despite his punishments, his desires fail to remain within him.
Caliban is also missing his mother in this play which leads him to feel inadequacy. Prospero is one of
the only obstacles between him and Miranda. Prospero s desire for power and control over the
characters in the play, shows Freud s theory coming into play, if one craves power, it is possibly
because one has lacked in its childhood.
This play has symbols that represent the imagery in it. The symbol water is often shown through this
play either by saying or showing it. The image of water is often shown to be deadly. As Ferdinand lost
his father at sea, he deems to think that his father drowned as they were involved in a shipwreck.
Water plays a huge symbol and image in this play as the setting takes place on an Island near the
Bermuda Triangle. Water in this play is to be seen as a lost. Ariel s song leads Ferdinand to think that
his father drowned at sea and is gone forever. Ariel s song

Pros And Cons Of The Nuremberg War Trial
Beverley McLachlin, the 2007 Chief Justice of Canada, once said, The most advanced justice system
in the world is a failure if it does not provide justice to the people it is meant to serve.
The Nuremberg War Trial has been considered the most significant as well as the most debatable event
in military law history. To those who support the trial it promises the first effective recognition of a
world law for the punishment of criminals who start wars or conduct inhuman acts during them. To the
opposing critics the trial appears in many aspects a denial of legal ethics which they regard as the
heart of any system of justice under law.

Most significantly, the German defendants at Nuremberg were being tried for several categories of
offense that had no precedent under international law creating ex post facto charge, meaning that the
defendants were indicted for something that was not a crime until after they had committed it. At the
time that the German officials on trial committed the various atrocities for which they were charged,
no international law specifically banned their actions. The prosecution was therefore able to construct
their charges to maximize the rate of conviction. Most national legal codes, including the law of the
United States, require that a crime must have been illegal at the time the act was committed in order to
charges to be pressed. The major focuses of the prosecution were crimes against the peace, crimes
against humanity, war crimes, organizations, and conspiracy. Of all these, only war crimes was a
clearly recognized category under pre existing international law.
War crimes jurisprudence was based on The Hague and Geneva conventions, and narrowly governed
the treatment of foreign soldiers and civilians during wartime. Technically, the only war crimes
committed by the Germans involved the treatment of Allied prisoners of war and of the populations of
conquered

Ethical Dilemma of Overshooting Airports
On October 21, 2009 Pilot Timothy Cheney and Co pilot Richard Cole of Northwest Airlines flight
188 had overshot Minneapolis International Airport by 150 miles, which carried 147 passengers
because the pilots had been busy using their laptops. The pilots had only received a slap on the wrists
from the FAA; however their punishment should have been a bit harsher because the lives of everyone
on that flight were put at risk because of irresponsible pilots.

The Northwest Airlines pilots who were grounded after overflying the Minneapolis airport by 150
miles are trying to get their licenses back. National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Ted
Lopatkiewicz said Thursday that Captain Timothy Cheney of Gig Harbor, Washington, and First
Officer Richard Cole of Salem, have filed appeals. The FAA revoked the licenses of the pilots last
month. Cole and Cheney had 10 days to appeal to the three member National Transportation Safety
Board, the same agency that investigates air crashes and makes safety recommendations. If their
appeal fails, they can apply for a new license after one year. The Federal Aviation Administration said
the pilots had violated numerous regulations, including failing to comply with air traffic control
instructions and clearances and operating carelessly and recklessly. But the pilots said they had been
so engrossed in a complicated new crew scheduling program on their laptops a cockpit violation of
airline policy that could cost them their licenses that they lost track of time and place for more than an
hour, until a flight attendant on an intercom got their attention. By then, the Airbus A320 with its 144
passengers and five crew members had cruised on autopilot past its Minneapolis destination and was
over Wisconsin, at 37,000 feet. It turned out the plane s radio was still tuned to a frequency used by
Denver controllers, even though the aircraft had flown beyond

Rhetorical Analysis Of Professions For Women
Analysis on Professions for Women
In Virginia Woolf s speech Professions for Women she uses rhetorical appeal towards women s
abilities to do anything a man can do, she uses an overall good amount of rhetorical devices that help
the reader to picture experience what she s feeling and wanting us to see. On the start of her speech
she acknowledges the issue that society is becoming concerned with the employment of women,
because women are still being judged about their place in the world and what their role in society
should be. She then counteracts this negativity by talking about her own personal professional
experiences. Although she is a woman she appeals to Ethos because she is in a room of women talking
about what they all have in common, discrimination towards what their sex can and cannot do. Woolf
also uses lots of imagery with her Ethos when she states The family Peace has not broken by the
scratching of a Pen. She is showing that although she is a woman and women don t typically work in
literature and aren t good writers her family still had no problem with it. Writing has a reputable and
harmless occupation. (1) Therefore there was no harm being done, she wasn t bothering anyone with
her work. The fact that paper is cheap in their time only gives more reason to why women have
succeeded as writers before they have succeeded in the other professions (1) giving them the
opportunity to buy a plentiful amount and given all the free time on their hands

Imal A Short Story
Sunlight streamed down on the desert surface as just under the sands, bruised knuckles punched
through the flimsy wooden top of a makeshift coffin. As the dirt poured into the closed space, the
unfortunate person inside packed the dirt towards her feet and the sides of the rectangular box. After
enough sand and dirt was freed, the woman sat forward and crawled up and out, using her upper body
strength to pull her out of her own sandy grave. As she stood up, blinking in the blaring heat, the
woman, Imala, gripped her shawl down to cover her dark skin from the sun. Her long dark hair was
pulled into a braid, easy for her cowboy hat to sit atop her head. Upon feeling the sun s heat on the top
of her head, she cursed in Apache.

In an instant, Imala kicked a couple of long wooden boxes and many other supplies that were lying on

pain and she tackled both him and Sebastian out of the door, off the train. Forgotten in the fight, Eli
got up, appearing stunned and realized he now had to take the controls.
Meanwhile, the skirmish continued outside while the three figures rolled out onto the desert sands
with a thud. Imala was still outgunned, but now Eli could take the train back to Grace.
You ve really done it now, missy. The boss attempted to get up, but Sebastian decked her across the
face for him. He pulled out his gun and aimed it at her, but the criminal started shouting.
Wait, wait, wait! the boss cried out angrily as Sebastian paused. You see the shovel and box? Imala

boxes and tools. I have an idea. Missy, pick up that shovel and start

Racism In John Updike s Rabbit Run And Rabbit Redwell
John Updike has written many novels. One of his most famous series is called Rabbit Omnibus. John
Updike is known for his famous character in the Rabbit Omnibus books called Harry. John Updike s
books called Rabbit Run and Rabbit Redux shows us racism, theme, and character change.
First, in Rabbit Run and Rabbit Redux we see racism. In Rabbit Redux , it says, Now here s how. You
is a Big Black man sittin right there. You is chained to the chained to that chair. And I is white as snow
(296). This quote in the story shows how they like to play games involving slavery. Racism is a big
issue in both books. Readers can see this throughout the books with the different characters. The quote
is one character talking to the other. Another quote showing racism in Rabbit Redux is I don t follow
this racist rap, you can t turn on television now without black face spitting at you (47). In the book
several times we see Rabbit saying there are too many blacks. The racism is not as bad in Rabbit
Redux as in Rabbit Run . Between the two books, readers can see different sides of John Updike s
writing styles. In one book, he uses harsher words and more racist words than the other book. Both of
these books include elements of racism.
Second, in Rabbit Run and Rabbit Redux we see that the themes are kind of the same. The theme in
both novels involves them struggling with something in their life. In Rabbit Redux the theme is
Freedom. Rabbit wants freedom from his

Teenage Dating in the 1950s Essay examples
Teenage Dating in the 1950s
Teenagers in the 1950 s are so iconic that, for some, they represent the last generation of innocence
before it is lost in the sixties. When asked to imagine this lost group, images of bobbysoxers,
letterman jackets, malt shops and sock hops come instantly to mind. Images like these are so classic,
they, for a number of people, are as American as apple pie. They are produced and perpetuated by the
media, through films like Grease and Pleasantville and television shows like Happy Days, The Donna
Reed Show, and Leave It to Beaver. Because of these entertainment forums, these images will
continue to be a pop cultural symbol of the 1950 s. After the second World War, teenagers became

She then is given the option of accepting his call by letting him in or rejecting it by making up an
excuse as to why she cannot see him. Refreshments were often served (though not always), and the
entertainment was primarily piano playing in the parlor. But because the lower classes were not so
well endowed so that they own pianos or even parlors, they started their own form of courtship which
soon became known as dating. This practice was soon picked up by the upper classes, and from there
it progressed into the middle class, with which it is still inherently associated today (Bailey 17).
Calling and dating are so intrinsically different it is hard to imagine how the transition from one to
another was even made. Firstly, calling was practiced with the intention of finding a suitable husband
for a young lady; whereas, in dating, this was, and still is, not the primary goal. People date because it
is enjoyable, pleasant, and valuable (Merrill 62), and they thought that they could gain rewarding
experiences from it. In the fifties and surrounding decades, handbooks and other books exploring
relationships described dating as a fun activity in which teens are allowed to meet and mingle with
many members of the opposite sex. Besides, dating allowed young people to be with each other
without their parents interfering. Secondly,

Evaluation Of A Quantitative Correlational Research Design
Methodology
Design Overview
A quantitative correlational research design was used to measure the effect that living
situations/familial support has on student s GPAs. An online survey (Appendix 2) was used to collect
data on independent and dependent variables. The independent variables included living situation (e.g.
living with parents, spouse/significant other, spouse and kids, friends/roommates, alone, or with
grandparents), support systems available to the students in the DSN program, interruptions that were
experienced by the students, the students preferred location to study, and how many hours a week was
spent studying. The independent variables were factors that were considered to have a possible effect
on GPA. The primary dependent variable was GPA; though how many hours a week spent studying
was also used as a dependent variable against the independent variable of familial support.
Sample and Testing
An online survey consisting of ten questions was sent out to all students enrolled at DSN. A total of
638 students were invited to participate in the study. Students from the DSN Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) completion program, BSN first degree program, Associate Degree of Nursing (AND)
program, and Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN) to ADN program participated in the survey resulting in
a total sample size of 100 students.

Company s Csr Efforts With Customer Base
As mentioned throughout the previous sections, Target has a very inclusive CSR program that covers
most areas under this field. Because of this, there is little for the company to do in terms of expanding
into any brand new components of CSR; therefore, it would be most beneficial to fine tune some of its
programs to align with the company s customer base more closely. Moreover, some of Target s current
CSR efforts are rather broad and the company could benefit by really specializing within some of the
areas and establishing more detailed goals. Although Target seems to emphasize its dedication to
supporting the community and collaborating with other organizations, there seems to be a disconnect
between this and some of the company s decisions.
3.2 Aligning Company s CSR Efforts with Customer Base Target recently released its third quarter
financial statements for 2016, where the company recorded an 11% increase in EPS over last year.
CEO Brian Cornell credited much of this growth to its strong back to school shopping sales. He went
on to say that Target has invested much effort in differentiating themselves from other competitors like
Walmart by offering a more family focused selection, particularly with children s apparel and
educational toys. While it seems this strategy is currently paying off for Target, I believe Target could
benefit even more by aligning its CSR efforts to connect with these shoppers. However, it seems that
Target has other plans in mind, as the

Feinberg Psychological Egoism Summary
In Psychological Egoism , Feinberg responds to argument 4b with examples. In this paper I restate that
argument and present how he argues against it. The argument Feinberg tries to refute is that: when one
satisfies his desire he would gain pleasure, thus for everyone the real motive of every action is to
achieve his own happiness and anything else he is pursuing is just an approach toward his pleasure. At
first, he attacks the premise as not rigorously being true since achieving what one wants does not
necessarily lead to satisfaction. On the contrary, most of the time no pleasure is achieved or
dissatisfaction might appear after fulfillment of goals. Secondly he argues against the conclusion
derived from the premise by claiming that even

Judgment at Nuremberg is a movie which was directed by Stanley Kramer and was written by Abby
Mann based on a true story of a tribunal that happened in Nuremberg, Germany in 1948 until 1949.
The film with 179 minutes duration shows us the tribunal to trial four NAZI judges who were very
famous in the NAZI era. They were Dr. Ernst Janning, (Burt Lancaster), Emil Hahn (Werner

were presiding in the tribunal were Judge Dan Haywood (Spencer Tracy) with two other judges who

The ways to do the diplomacy, negotiation, and argue are also clearly showed in that movie.
In my opinion, the balance of the power is really needed to be implemented to avoid the inequality

Characterism In Snow White
In many societies, wealthy people are seen as hardworking, deserving, and above everybody else.
However, poor people are portrayed as undeserving, uneducated, and useless. In modern day America,
these characterizations have switched. Gene Simmons once said, Live and think like a poor man and
you ll always be okay . In some cases, poor people are the ones that work long, boring day, where rich
people are drinking imported wine on a yacht. When reading, Snow White, by Jacob and Wilhelm
Grimm, the authors write from a marxist point of view. They also use characterization of the evil
queen and the dwarfs to describe the socio economic classes of modern day society. The authors
positively characterize the dwarfs, who represent the lower class. It is known that the lower class is
primarily underprivileged. However, this group is seen as innocent, hardworking, kind, and fair
minded. The Grimms use the seven dwarfs to positively portray the lower class. They don t live in a
castle with gold jewels and unlimited meals. In fact, they live in a house where, everything was small
(Grimm, Jacob, and Wilhelm Grimm). When Snow White, a young girl from the upper class, comes to
the house, she is allowed to stay only if she works around the house. In the piece, the dwarfs say, If
you will keep house for us, and cook, make beds, wash, sew, and knit, and keep everything clean and
orderly, then you can stay with us, and you shall have everything that you want (Grimm, Jacob, and
Wilhelm Grimm). It can be assumed that these are the common chores around the dwarfs house. In
contrast to a king or a queen, there are much more tasks that need to be completed. A king or a queen
has maids, cooks, and butlers. This proves that the dwarfs are very hard working. When Snow White
comes along, the dwarfs give some of these jobs to her. While the dwarfs warmly welcome Snow
White into their house, they cannot let her presence derail them from their daily, complex lifestyle.
Having Snow White move into their house is a big change to them. For some, drastic changes can take
a while to mentally process. For the dwarfs, however, they have to continue to work hard in order to
survive. According to John Sanders, a fairy tale analyst, They [the

The Jealousy Of Honest Iago In Shakespeare s Othello
Honesty over Reality
The Infamous Honest Iago is a miscellaneous character that goes around manipulating others to get
whatever he wants. His manipulative trait to deceive others to seek out whatever he wants to get
Desdemona to turn on Othello.
People of all sorts make discouraging remarks, doing things to seek revenge and to take and
manipulate others like lab rats, sucking the inner good from one another all because of simple
jealousy. A brief overview of what ill be going to discuss is how Iago, Apassive character he soon
shows himself to be the villain of the play; although Iago isn t your conventional villain and is instead
can be seen as a far more complex character, this self exposing feature of Iago also helps us as an

Iago manipulates the weakness of his susceptibility to alcohol causing him to start a fight early on in
the play, causing Cassio s demotion as lieutenant. Iago also manipulates Cassio s charming nature and
handsome appearance in order to make Othello jealous of Cassio, as he seems to be the perfectly
white and charming, The Venetian war hero whilst Othello is not. Iago uses Roderigo throughout the
play to do Iago s dirty work. As Iago seeks control between the two and uses their weakness to
manipulate them and executes them perfectly to get whatever he wants. Which in this case he wants to
ruin Othello s heart by using Desdemona to turn on him to seek revenge. Now for the prized jewel
piece Desdemona, Iago s golden ticket. Iago by now knows that he should finally make the last moves
before his plan is finally executed. Within the shadows he finally gets to Desdemona. His I deal plan
to mess with Othello is by making her sound like she has been sleeping with other men such as
Roderigo and Cassio. Iago is able to create gross and vivid images of Desdemona with Cassio, which
cause Othello such torment that he has a seizure. This is shocking for the audience as we see Othello
lose both physical and mental control at the word of Iago who implies that Cassio will Lie ... with her,
on her; what you will. He uses this and makes it seem like Desdemona is sleeping with Cassio to draw
attention to Desdemona. Iago convinces Othello that he over hears Cassio and Desdemona s
relationship and that they have been seeing each other.Iago has convinced Desdemona that she should
appeal to Othello to reinstate Cassio. She is not aware of Othello s suspicions of a union between her
and Cassio, and unwittingly angers him until he strikes her, And kills

Tim Peake Summary
The Christian Science Monitor article, PUT THE TITLE HERE, PUT THE LINK HERE, discusses
the dangers of space travel with astronaut Tim Peake. According to Peake, a window on the
International Space Station (ISS) was damaged by a paint chip sized piece of metal. He contends that
the ISS can withstand this type of small hit by debris. However, a strike by larger Space debris could
be hazardous. In fact, the ISS had to do a planned maneuver to get out of the way of a larger piece of
debris. For many years debris from inoperable satellites has accumulated in Earth s orbit. The trash
left from these satellites is posing an increasing threat to current missions. In the year 1998, The
National Research Council (NRC) of the National Academy of Sciences equated the danger from
space debris to that of a spacecraft s launch or reentry. And since that time, the amount of debris in
space has more than doubled. Another issue that contributes to the danger of the debris, is that it is
traveling in space at 17,500 miles per hour. At this rate, even a small piece of debris could cause
serious damage. Consequently, there have been many ideas put forth about how to rid Space of all ...

Undoubtedly, less prosperous countries will not be able to travel to Space if they have to take on the
added expense of outfitting their spacecraft with de orbiting technology. However, Space travel is a
luxury, not a necessity. If a country cannot afford the added expense then that country is not ready to
partake in Space travel. Also, various companies and countries will wish to choose their own way to
manage the decomposition of their spacecraft. I think this is negotiable, as long as they do have a
viable plan in place before travel. However, an International law that requires a standardized method
for removing debris and planning for future debris would be easier to monitor and

The Last Intervention Day
Unfortunately, I was able to take part only in the last intervention. I was slightly disappointed, but it
was not my choice, but a consequence of the new plan schedule that overlapped with my other
personal activities. I would have to participate in the introductory day but because of a
misunderstanding, the children did not show up that day. This was again a demonstration of how
important is planning in advance and be sure that all the persons involved are informed. However, the
last intervention day was a test run day for me. I was excited to meet for the first time the key players
of the event, but also I felt nervous about speaking in front of them. Engaging young people is always
a challenge. How to capture their attention and truly interest

Jane Eyre
Charlotte Bronte s Jane Eyre emerges with a unique voice in the Victorian period for the work posits
itself as a sentimental novel; however, it deliberately becomes unable to fulfill the genre, and then, it
creates an altogether divergent novel that demonstrates its superiority by adding depth of structure in
narration and character portrayal. Joan D. Peters essay, Finding a Voice: Towards a Woman s
Discourse of Dialogue in the Narration of Jane Eyre positions Gerard Genette s theory of convergence,
which is that the movement of the fiction towards a confluence of protagonist and narrator, is limited
as the argument does not fully flesh out the parodies that Charlotte Bronte incorporates into her work.

Helen communicates in an elegant restrained form to the protagonist that all of Jane s passion is

Helen for being deficient in natural passion. Her dialogue speaks of love and blessing that should be

may espouse the stereotypical masculine traits of a novel, such as, well polished diction, restraint of

narrative command (Peters 224), yet she loses her natural voice. Moreover, Burns voice becomes

Mead Vs Piaget
Which sociologist knows better George Herbert Mead or Jean Piaget? Who is right or who is wrong?
While I am not an expert in the field of sociology I have noticed that there are a multitude of ideas and
theories that are considered when trying to study people in our society. Most of the time there is
simply no clear cut right or wrong answer, but a combination of possible answers that are used to
come up with a hypotheses, then used to try and find the most probable answer. George Herbert Mead

Examples Of Eros In Medea
Caitlyn Santos
Comparative Literature 2AW
Professor King

The Many Forces of Eros Eros expresses the feeling of sexual arousal produced by the physical
attraction between two people. In Plato s Phaidros, he describes the development of the soul during
the process of gaining knowledge through the experience of love. The progression of love introduces
the growth from immortality to morality in the aspects of gaining self control. The strength gained
from the force of love elevates ones soul into a more divine realm. The use of winged horses in the
story depicts divinity, while the tragedy between Medea and Jason depict the mortal realm. Plato
focuses on one of the most powerful aspects of love and its ability to effects the lifestyle ... Show

The art of passion is very beautiful, but only when it is appreciated correctly. Plato, by straying away
from the norm, approached the power of eros in a much more pure way. By forming a better
appreciation of the act of falling in love rather than the act of making love, Plato reestablished the
importance of inner beauty, disregarding the physical attribute of love. When sitting with a significant
other they often ask, Why do you like me? It is found then that often, finding the best handful of
words is quite hard. Plato s emphasis on self awareness allows people to reflect before acting, think
before speaking, and understand before judging. Plato s arguments are quite helpful in not only
approaching a time of sexual discomfort, but anytime that requires analyzing a problem or conflict.
Although passionate love for someone or something can be quite overwhelming, Plato provides
insight and guidance to those who have never experienced it. The pure form of love is one s passionate
desire for another. In order to preserve that pureness Plato practices the act of self control and the
ability to appreciate the beauty before approaching it. The themes that Plato s texts give are different
perspectives on approaching love and in more modern times, the act of dating. Plato demonstrates this
theme, but in a more extreme manner. Plato demonstrates eros as a passionate force between two
people as chemistry . This chemistry grows

rejection of his economic class to disperse in a cultural background of nature steers Krakauer decision

on about her father. What a good man he was, and what a great loss it was to their community. She
smiled bitterly. Not many people had actually liked him. One could only describe her father as
guarded. She pulled the sleeves on her sweater back over her wrists and tried to tune in for a bit. She
eventually gave up and went back to opening and closing the pocket watch. It seemed that no one else

Analysis Of Jealous Extremaduran And Deceitful Marriage
The exemplary novels are timeless not only for the stories they tell, but also for the vivid ways in
which they depict society at the time when these stories were written. Through the analysis of
Cervantes s Jealous Extremaduran and Deceitful Marriage, one is able to see and dissect the many
jobs and roles played by people in society during the 16th and 17th centuries in Spain. In the story
entitled The Jealous Extremaduran, Cervantes exhibits the roles of a hidalgo turned indiano, poor
aristocrat, child of a merchant, and multiple slaves. In this story, a man named Felipe de Carrizales is
born into vast wealth and depicted as a Hidalgo, or a nobleman. He spends it all upon finite entities
and becomes stripped of all affluence. He then goes to the New World, becomes rich and returns to his
homeland of Spain as an indiano. He subsequently falls in love with a young and beautiful girl,
Leonora, and marries her. Leonora is a great representation of the aristocracy in Spain, because she is
born with a good family, but does not possess any sort of wealth. Many people in Spain at this time
had an aristocratic title, but only a select few held the wealth due to the practice of mayorazgo. Those
like Leonora in society at that time were known as segundónes. While Carrizales is married to her, he
has such a fear of her being unfaithful to him, that he builds a house analogous to a prison to hold her.

I will analyse the cost to the music industry of internet piracy over the last decade, Quantify and
qualify the argument that an illegal download is equal to one song purchased. I will use the statistical
and financial data from the RAII and other authorities to outline my findings.
Also I will controversially conclude whether the music industry is benefiting from music piracy,
whether the music industry is now an open market business, and the attitude of artists to an open
market compared to that of their record labels and the RAII copyright authority.
3 Overview
3.1 The Definition of Internet Piracy and the Damage it causes
The term internet piracy has been around for the last decade, describing the illegal activity of
downloading and sharing copyrighted material freely. The Recording Industry Association of America
warns companies and consumers about the threat of internet piracy:
Music theft is a real, on going and evolving challenge. Both the volume of music acquired illegally
without paying for it and the resulting drop in revenues are staggering. Digital sales, while on the rise,
are not making up the difference (RIAA, 2012)
In 2007 the Institute for Policy and Innovation estimated that the total cost of Internet Piracy,
specifically to the music industry, is costing the US economy over $12 billion a year:
As a consequence of global and U.S. based piracy of sound recordings, the U.S. economy loses $12.5

  • 3. President Roosevelt Hypertension Background As late as about seven decades ago, elevated blood pressure was considered by many expert physicians to be necessary for the adequate perfusion of vital organs. It was deemed as an unavoidable, hence essential, component of the aging process leading to the coining of the term essential hypertension . High blood pressure (BP) was considered as probable natural and necessary compensatory phenomenon that should be left alone even if there were effective treatments (Hay, 1931; White, 1937). This notion was further strengthened by the observed elevated misery and premature death recorded for the patients that were treated for hypertension with the few drugs that were available at the time compared to those that were left untreated (Goldring, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, the onetime US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt was given a clean bill of health by his physician even when his BP was recorded as approximately 220/120. A few years later while at Yalta, Winston Churchill s personal physician noted in his diary that President Roosevelt appeared to be have had signs of hardening of the arteries disease and had a few months to live. Subsequent events demonstrated the truth of his diagnosis. President Roosevelt ultimately had a fatal hemorrhagic stroke 2 months later, and his death brought hypertension s potential as a deadly malady to the lime light (Mahmood, Levy, Vasan, Wang, 2014). Three years after Roosevelt s death, the pivotal National Heart Act was signed into law by President Truman. The Act created the path for the study of heart diseases and resulted in several studies including the Framingham Heart Study. The Framingham studies consistently showed that hypertension, such as hyperlipidemia, was associated with many cardiovascular morbidities such as stroke, heart failure, and heart attacks leading to premature deaths and the risk was clearly higher with higher blood pressure (systolic and diastolic). Even before the Framingham studies, many insurance companies had already begun measuring BP for policyholders physical examinations. Furthermore, several studies done by the Actuarial Society of America pointed toward the higher morbidity and mortality associated with higher BP (Kannel, Wolf, Veter, McNamara, 1970; Kannel, Schwartz, McNamara, ... • 4. The Four Frames To be considered an effective leader, it is known to utilize multiple frames. The four frames: Structural Leadership, Human Resource Leadership, Political Leadership, and Symbolic Leadership. Each of these leadership consist of different characteristics, principles, and standards which are practiced to gain efficient leaders. Rosabeth Moss Kanter, a business professor at Harvard Business School has expressed how these four frames are effective by examples during her interview. Structural Leadership involves the leader possessing characteristics, such as, focusing on implementation, can be powerful and stable, and emphasizes on shared goals. Kanter, concentrates on strategy, innovation, and leadership for change (57). In addition, she shared her ideas with other companies of how to implement change to their culture and structure (58). • 5. Developing Self-Awareness Is a Requirement for All... Developing self awareness as a counsellor is considered central to many of the mainstream theoretical approaches (Mcleod, 2009, p624). I will argue that without the development of self awareness neither a trainee nor qualified counsellor can meet the core conditions set out in most theoretical approaches to counselling, congruence, empathy and unconditional positive regard. I will also argue that counselling trainees need to experience the role of client themselves before they can take others on the same road to self discovery. To answer the benefits and difficulties of the counselling trainee developing self awareness whilst practicing skills in triads I will argue the feedback received from fellow peers can be very beneficial to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sanders (2011) argues that By talking about ourselves as honestly as we can in a safe environment and listening to the feedback from others, we can check whether the view we have of ourselves is the one received by others (Sanders, 2011, p61). Feedback not only raises our awareness to what we say but, and perhaps more importantly, how we say it our non verbal communication. The influence of non verbal communication on a clients view of their counsellor can be taught, but I was amazed at just how unaware I was of my own body language. During my first few triads I could not control my hands, eventually opting to sit on them which was perceived as uncomfortable and a result of my nervousness. Receiving feedback gives us a chance to change and modify in order to communicate more effectively (Tolan Lendrum, 1995, p30) and creates awareness of the importance of effective communication when building a genuine relationship with your client. Receiving feedback can also raise our awareness of the value of receiving genuine feedback itself, as well as a need to sensitively communicate feedback to others. This also creates a greater sense of empathy toward others. Triads also enable the trainee to receive feedback from a variety of different people, not just their tutor. The diversity found within a training group will be reflected back to the trainee within feedback received. My group has much diversity with regards to sexuality, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Christopher Columbus And The Era Of The Americas Many people think of Christopher Columbus as the person who discovered the Americas. However, Leif Ericson, a Norseman or Viking, was the first European to see the Americas. Columbus was born to Domenico Colombo and Susanna Fontanarossa sometime between August 25 and October 31, 1451 in Italy near Genoa (Heat Moon 4). Columbus had four other siblings (Phillips 64). Columbus childhood was a tough one, even though he had a great parental guidance. Columbus grew up in a medieval world exhausted by war and bigotries, religious corruption and intolerance, a time of widespread spiritual dissolution and social pessimism, a continent deeply in need of a rebirth (Heat Moon 5). The era of which Columbus lived in was really in need of a make over. The way people acted, their decisions, and the changes in their religion were not acceptable to any standard. That time period was very boring and depressing and it was difficult to be happy. Christopher spent some of his early years at his father s trade of weaving and later he became a sailor on the Mediterranean [Sea] ( Christopher Columbus ). By the time he was 31 or 32, Christopher had become a master mariner in the Portuguese Merchant Service ( Christopher Columbus ). Later in life, Columbus had married Doña Felipa Perestrello o Moníz (Heat Moon 7). After eight years of persistence and two rejections from Portugal, Columbus was granted the finance needed to complete the voyage from Spain ( Christopher Columbus ). He wanted ... • 8. Persuasive Essay On Global Warming Our world has adapted to the changes that come with our personal actions. Many of these actions initiated around the time of The industrial revolution and the advances in technology generated issues such as pollution. As time went on, one conflict became more evident, global warming. Global warming is when there is a rise in the average temperature of the Earth s climate system. Environmental policies should be more enforced in order to make progress in our environments because global warming alters ecosystems and generates danger to human life. People should also be able to contribute in a positive way because global warming also causes changes in things such as sea levels, temperature, diseases, etc. The individuals that currently reside on planet earth carry out harmful actions that have generated issues such as climate change. The Earth s average temperature has increased over the last decade and has affected agricultural aspects around the world. In areas where farming takes place, water is essential in order to sustain crops. Climate change alters the way farmers take care of their crops because water has become more scarce throughout the years . As the extremities in weather patterns becomes more common, more frequent droughts are bound to occur. People in urban areas depend on food that derives from rural areas, therefore climate change is a threat to us. Colder environments are also affected by climate because many ice glaciers are rapidly melting. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Psychoanalyticism In The Tempest The Tempest Critical Essay During this course of the play the psychoanalytical criticism can be applied while reading the scenes in The Tempest. As Freud argues that all humans have a dark side to them, we tend to hide this side of us as we get older. In the Tempest, Caliban could represent this uncontrolled side of human nature. Caliban is seen to be the superego which is can be seen to be evident when he does not wish to receive Prospero s physical punishments. Despite his punishments, his desires fail to remain within him. Caliban is also missing his mother in this play which leads him to feel inadequacy. Prospero is one of the only obstacles between him and Miranda. Prospero s desire for power and control over the characters in the play, shows Freud s theory coming into play, if one craves power, it is possibly because one has lacked in its childhood. This play has symbols that represent the imagery in it. The symbol water is often shown through this play either by saying or showing it. The image of water is often shown to be deadly. As Ferdinand lost his father at sea, he deems to think that his father drowned as they were involved in a shipwreck. Water plays a huge symbol and image in this play as the setting takes place on an Island near the Bermuda Triangle. Water in this play is to be seen as a lost. • 10. Pros And Cons Of The Nuremberg War Trial Beverley McLachlin, the 2007 Chief Justice of Canada, once said, The most advanced justice system in the world is a failure if it does not provide justice to the people it is meant to serve. The Nuremberg War Trial has been considered the most significant as well as the most debatable event in military law history. To those who support the trial it promises the first effective recognition of a world law for the punishment of criminals who start wars or conduct inhuman acts during them. To the opposing critics the trial appears in many aspects a denial of legal ethics which they regard as the heart of any system of justice under law. Towards the end of World War II the Allies were counting the days until Hitler s regime would finally be defeated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most significantly, the German defendants at Nuremberg were being tried for several categories of offense that had no precedent under international law creating ex post facto charge, meaning that the defendants were indicted for something that was not a crime until after they had committed it. At the time that the German officials on trial committed the various atrocities for which they were charged, no international law specifically banned their actions. The prosecution was therefore able to construct their charges to maximize the rate of conviction. Most national legal codes, including the law of the United States, require that a crime must have been illegal at the time the act was committed in order to charges to be pressed. The major focuses of the prosecution were crimes against the peace, crimes against humanity, war crimes, organizations, and conspiracy. Of all these, only war crimes was a clearly recognized category under pre existing international law. War crimes jurisprudence was based on The Hague and Geneva conventions, and narrowly governed the treatment of foreign soldiers and civilians during wartime. The Northwest Airlines pilots who were grounded after overflying the Minneapolis airport by 150 miles are trying to get their licenses back. National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Ted Lopatkiewicz said Thursday that Captain Timothy Cheney of Gig Harbor, Washington, and First Officer Richard Cole of Salem, have filed appeals. The FAA revoked the licenses of the pilots last month. Cole and Cheney had 10 days to appeal to the three member National Transportation Safety Board, the same agency that investigates air crashes and makes safety recommendations. If their appeal fails, they can apply for a new license after one year. The Federal Aviation Administration said the pilots had violated numerous regulations, including failing to comply with air traffic control instructions and clearances and operating carelessly and recklessly. But the pilots said they had been so engrossed in a complicated new crew scheduling program on their laptops a cockpit violation of airline policy that could cost them their licenses that they lost track of time and place for more than an hour, until a flight attendant on an intercom got their attention. By then, the Airbus A320 with its 144 passengers and five crew members had cruised on autopilot past its Minneapolis destination and was over Wisconsin, at 37,000 feet. It turned out the plane s radio was still tuned to a frequency used by Denver controllers, even though the aircraft had flown beyond ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Rhetorical Analysis Of Professions For Women Analysis on Professions for Women In Virginia Woolf s speech Professions for Women she uses rhetorical appeal towards women s abilities to do anything a man can do, she uses an overall good amount of rhetorical devices that help the reader to picture experience what she s feeling and wanting us to see. On the start of her speech she acknowledges the issue that society is becoming concerned with the employment of women, because women are still being judged about their place in the world and what their role in society should be. She then counteracts this negativity by talking about her own personal professional experiences. Although she is a woman she appeals to Ethos because she is in a room of women talking about what they all have in common, discrimination towards what their sex can and cannot do. Woolf also uses lots of imagery with her Ethos when she states The family Peace has not broken by the scratching of a Pen. She is showing that although she is a woman and women don t typically work in literature and aren t good writers her family still had no problem with it. Writing has a reputable and harmless occupation. (1) Therefore there was no harm being done, she wasn t bothering anyone with her work. The fact that paper is cheap in their time only gives more reason to why women have succeeded as writers before they have succeeded in the other professions (1) giving them the opportunity to buy a plentiful amount and given all the free time on their hands ... As the dirt poured into the closed space, the unfortunate person inside packed the dirt towards her feet and the sides of the rectangular box. After enough sand and dirt was freed, the woman sat forward and crawled up and out, using her upper body strength to pull her out of her own sandy grave. As she stood up, blinking in the blaring heat, the woman, Imala, gripped her shawl down to cover her dark skin from the sun. Teenage Dating in the 1950s Essay examples Teenage Dating in the 1950s Teenagers in the 1950 s are so iconic that, for some, they represent the last generation of innocence before it is lost in the sixties. When asked to imagine this lost group, images of bobbysoxers, letterman jackets, malt shops and sock hops come instantly to mind. Images like these are so classic, they, for a number of people, are as American as apple pie. They are produced and perpetuated by the media, through films like Grease and Pleasantville and television shows like Happy Days, The Donna Reed Show, and Leave It to Beaver. This practice was soon picked up by the upper classes, and from there it progressed into the middle class, with which it is still inherently associated today (Bailey 17). Calling and dating are so intrinsically different it is hard to imagine how the transition from one to another was even made. Firstly, calling was practiced with the intention of finding a suitable husband for a young lady; whereas, in dating, this was, and still is, not the primary goal. People date because it is enjoyable, pleasant, and valuable (Merrill 62), and they thought that they could gain rewarding experiences from it. In the fifties and surrounding decades, handbooks and other books exploring relationships described dating as a fun activity in which teens are allowed to meet and mingle with many members of the opposite sex. Because of this, there is little for the company to do in terms of expanding into any brand new components of CSR; therefore, it would be most beneficial to fine tune some of its programs to align with the company s customer base more closely. Moreover, some of Target s current CSR efforts are rather broad and the company could benefit by really specializing within some of the areas and establishing more detailed goals. Although Target seems to emphasize its dedication to supporting the community and collaborating with other organizations, there seems to be a disconnect between this and some of the company s decisions. 3.2 Aligning Company s CSR Efforts with Customer Base Target recently released its third quarter financial statements for 2016, where the company recorded an 11% increase in EPS over last year. CEO Brian Cornell credited much of this growth to its strong back to school shopping sales. He went on to say that Target has invested much effort in differentiating themselves from other competitors like Walmart by offering a more family focused selection, particularly with children s apparel and educational toys. The argument Feinberg tries to refute is that: when one satisfies his desire he would gain pleasure, thus for everyone the real motive of every action is to achieve his own happiness and anything else he is pursuing is just an approach toward his pleasure. At first, he attacks the premise as not rigorously being true since achieving what one wants does not necessarily lead to satisfaction. On the contrary, most of the time no pleasure is achieved or dissatisfaction might appear after fulfillment of goals. • 22. Characterism In Snow White In many societies, wealthy people are seen as hardworking, deserving, and above everybody else. However, poor people are portrayed as undeserving, uneducated, and useless. In modern day America, these characterizations have switched. Gene Simmons once said, Live and think like a poor man and you ll always be okay . In some cases, poor people are the ones that work long, boring day, where rich people are drinking imported wine on a yacht. When reading, Snow White, by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, the authors write from a marxist point of view. They also use characterization of the evil queen and the dwarfs to describe the socio economic classes of modern day society. The authors positively characterize the dwarfs, who represent the lower class. It is known that the lower class is primarily underprivileged. However, this group is seen as innocent, hardworking, kind, and fair minded. The Grimms use the seven dwarfs to positively portray the lower class. They don t live in a castle with gold jewels and unlimited meals. In fact, they live in a house where, everything was small (Grimm, Jacob, and Wilhelm Grimm). When Snow White, a young girl from the upper class, comes to the house, she is allowed to stay only if she works around the house. In the piece, the dwarfs say, If you will keep house for us, and cook, make beds, wash, sew, and knit, and keep everything clean and orderly, then you can stay with us, and you shall have everything that you want (Grimm, Jacob, and Wilhelm Grimm). It can be assumed that these are the common chores around the dwarfs house. In contrast to a king or a queen, there are much more tasks that need to be completed. A king or a queen has maids, cooks, and butlers. This proves that the dwarfs are very hard working. When Snow White comes along, the dwarfs give some of these jobs to her. While the dwarfs warmly welcome Snow White into their house, they cannot let her presence derail them from their daily, complex lifestyle. Having Snow White move into their house is a big change to them. For some, drastic changes can take a while to mentally process. For the dwarfs, however, they have to continue to work hard in order to survive. According to John Sanders, a fairy tale analyst, They [the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to Peake, a window on the International Space Station (ISS) was damaged by a paint chip sized piece of metal. He contends that the ISS can withstand this type of small hit by debris. However, a strike by larger Space debris could be hazardous. In fact, the ISS had to do a planned maneuver to get out of the way of a larger piece of debris. In the year 1998, The National Research Council (NRC) of the National Academy of Sciences equated the danger from space debris to that of a spacecraft s launch or reentry. And since that time, the amount of debris in space has more than doubled. Another issue that contributes to the danger of the debris, is that it is traveling in space at 17,500 miles per hour. • 34. Analysis Of Jealous Extremaduran And Deceitful Marriage The exemplary novels are timeless not only for the stories they tell, but also for the vivid ways in which they depict society at the time when these stories were written. Through the analysis of Cervantes s Jealous Extremaduran and Deceitful Marriage, one is able to see and dissect the many jobs and roles played by people in society during the 16th and 17th centuries in Spain. In the story entitled The Jealous Extremaduran, Cervantes exhibits the roles of a hidalgo turned indiano, poor aristocrat, child of a merchant, and multiple slaves. Those like Leonora in society at that time were known as segundónes. While Carrizales is married to her, he has such a fear of her being unfaithful to him, that he builds a house analogous to a prison to hold her. A popular, young, and handsome bachelor named Loaysa becomes enamored ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I will use the statistical and financial data from the RAII and other authorities to outline my findings. Also I will controversially conclude whether the music industry is benefiting from music piracy, whether the music industry is now an open market business, and the attitude of artists to an open market compared to that of their record labels and the RAII copyright authority. 3 Overview 3.1 The Definition of Internet Piracy and the Damage it causes The term internet piracy has been around for the last decade, describing the illegal activity of downloading and sharing copyrighted material freely. The Recording Industry Association of America warns companies and consumers about the threat of internet piracy: Music theft is a real, on going and evolving challenge. Both the volume of music acquired illegally without paying for it and the resulting drop in revenues are staggering. Digital sales, while on the rise, are not making up the difference (RIAA, 2012) In 2007 the Institute for Policy and Innovation estimated that the total cost of Internet Piracy, specifically to the music industry, is costing the US economy over $12 billion a year: As a consequence of global and U.S. based piracy of sound recordings, the U.S. economy loses $12.5 ...
