The target audience for the music video is 16-21 year olds, predominantly male, who are white and British. They would likely be in education and studying creative subjects. The music video appeals to this audience through its focus on skateboarding, street art, instrumental hip-hop music, and bleak cinematography style depicting "Broken Britain". The intended social class is B/C1/C2 who could afford to purchase the album, but the music video will also be accessible online to a wider audience.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Audience profile
1. AUDIENCE PROFILE
AGE
The age range I will be targeting for my music video package is 16-21 year olds. I chose this age
range firstly, as I am roughly in the centre of this and I feel that whatever media text I produce
will be most appropriate for my own age range as this is the age range I understand the most.
Furthermore, the focus on skateboarding and street art are both relatively modern ideas and
interests and so I feel that they would appeal more to a younger, more modern audience.
Furthermore, the genre of the track, instrumental hip-hop, is an emerging genre which reinforces
the modernistic appeal to young people.
GENDER
The target audience for my music video will be predominantly male, due to the male character in
my music video. As there are no female characters in my music video, female audiences may find
it more difficult to identify with the performer, and then are perhaps less likely to enjoy my music video, as identification is one
of the main appeals of media according to Blulmer and Katz’s ‘Uses and Gratifications’ theory. The featuring of skateboarding in
my music video may also appeal to a male audience as this is usually a male pastime. However, as the main focus in the music
video is on the action, surroundings and cinematography rather than the performer, neither gender is excluded or emphasised.
ETHNICITY + NATIONALITY
As my performer is white and British, I feel that the audience would reflect this ethnicity due to the same identification reasons
as mentioned before. However, as there is only a sole performer and not a cast of people of the same ethnicity, the appeal
remains open as there is no focus on race. In addition, the instrumental hip-hop genre of the track, which stems from the hip-
hop genre, may appeal to those of African ethnicity as hip-hop’s roots lie in African culture.
Those of British nationality may also find my music video especially appealing due to the bleak style of cinematography that is
concurrent with British realism and the representation of ‘Broken Britain’. Norwich/Norfolk habitants would also be able to
recognise many of the locations used in the music video and may enjoy this aspect.
2. AUDIENCE PROFILE
SOCIAL CLASS
For the promotion of my artist, Vanilla, I would have to target audiences with expendable income as
they would be able to purchase the album. Because of this, I would be targeting primarily the
B/C1/C2 brackets. However, due to social media sites such as YouTube, anyone with access to the
internet would be able view the music video, without having to pay – leaving the possible audience
far wider than the target. I have avoided targeting the A*/A bracket due to the low-budget and
average quality of the music video, as individuals with large incomes would generally appreciate
higher quality products. I feel that the B/C1/C2 group would appreciate my product the most and
the lower end of this group, and possibly lower income brackets, would perhaps find the depiction
of ‘Broken Britain’ an interesting media exploration, as it is often avoided.
LIFESTYLE
My target audience is likely to be in education – either A Levels or university – due to the age range
of 16-21 years old. They may be studying a creative subject such as Media Studies or Art, due to the
focus on cinematography and street art. Viewers may also be interested in either skateboarding, graffiti or film in general due to
the music video’s similarity with short films and the British realism genre.
OTHER MEDIA INTERESTS
Besides the aforementioned interests, my target audience may also be interested in British realism and low-budget films such as
Fishtank (2009) and Tyrannosaur (2011), due to the similar cinematography and locations as my music video. Aside from the
aesthetics of the music video, my target audience may have an interest in instrumental music and/or hip-hop, as these are the
main influences of my track. They may also be interested in new or underground music, as my artist Vanilla is unsigned, and they
may use social media sites such as YouTube or Soundcloud to search for new music.
