Audience Profile 
Crime Trailer 
Luca Reidy
Mark - 20 
• Mark Emerson is 20 years old and grew up in suburban 
London. Mark is currently studying Law with 
Criminology LLB (Hons) at the University of Liverpool 
and is currently in the middle of his second year of 
studying. 
• Before moving to university, he 
lived with his parents in Suburban 
London.
Interests/Hobbies 
• Normally, you would find Mark reading science fiction 
books and researching current news affairs on the 
internet. This helps him with his studies, and hopes to 
become a lawyer when he finishes university. 
• From reading this type of material, Mark gains a new 
insight to the world allowing him to be more in touch 
with society, eventually giving him a higher authority 
throughout the course of his life.
• As Mark is more materialistic, he buys his books from 
well known book stores such as Waterstones. When not 
reading crime novels, Mark like to watch lots of movies 
and TV shows. These genres vary, from action and 
adventure to comedy. 
• This type of movie allows him to relax from all of his day 
to day university life which generally allows him to 
perform well in exams. 
• Less stress = better achievements, well, that’s what he 
believes!
Main Aspects 
• Owns a computer, and tablet – materialistic 
• Isolated – keeps himself to himself, which 
reduces any conflicts 
• Well educated – he knows what he is doing I his 
life, settled
In order to appeal to Mark, we have to include a 
number of aspects in our film trailer. This will 
come from our target audience research; 
• Violence and mystery – this trailer will make the 
audience question who the killer is as they are not 
shown, giving them more thinking space to create 
involvement in the film promotion. Violence will be 
created from gun shootings and fight scenes 
• With the content of the film, we have decided to 
follow our audience research findings. This includes 
having one main character, classical non diegetic 
music and set in a location of central London. All 
these factors will allow us to make an effective and 
maybe successful crime movie trailer.

  • 2. Mark - 20 • Mark Emerson is 20 years old and grew up in suburban London. Mark is currently studying Law with Criminology LLB (Hons) at the University of Liverpool and is currently in the middle of his second year of studying. • Before moving to university, he lived with his parents in Suburban London.
  • 3. Interests/Hobbies • Normally, you would find Mark reading science fiction books and researching current news affairs on the internet. This helps him with his studies, and hopes to become a lawyer when he finishes university. • From reading this type of material, Mark gains a new insight to the world allowing him to be more in touch with society, eventually giving him a higher authority throughout the course of his life.
  • 4. • As Mark is more materialistic, he buys his books from well known book stores such as Waterstones. When not reading crime novels, Mark like to watch lots of movies and TV shows. These genres vary, from action and adventure to comedy. • This type of movie allows him to relax from all of his day to day university life which generally allows him to perform well in exams. • Less stress = better achievements, well, that’s what he believes!
  • 5. Main Aspects • Owns a computer, and tablet – materialistic • Isolated – keeps himself to himself, which reduces any conflicts • Well educated – he knows what he is doing I his life, settled
  • 6. In order to appeal to Mark, we have to include a number of aspects in our film trailer. This will come from our target audience research; • Violence and mystery – this trailer will make the audience question who the killer is as they are not shown, giving them more thinking space to create involvement in the film promotion. Violence will be created from gun shootings and fight scenes • With the content of the film, we have decided to follow our audience research findings. This includes having one main character, classical non diegetic music and set in a location of central London. All these factors will allow us to make an effective and maybe successful crime movie trailer.
