Inventory Lesson #1: Combination of Different Art forms as seen in Modern times
Introduction: In this lesson you will learn the introduction of the Contemporary Philippine Arts, as well as the review of the arts that you had learn during your junior high
school years. This lesson will help you realized how arts contributed to the contemporary status of the Philippines. You are expected to finish this first lesson for two meetings.
Objectives: a). define and Identify the Contemporary Arts of the Philippines and its regions.
b.) demonstrate the different contemporary arts.
c.) appreciate the contributions of the different Philippine contemporary artists.

What is Contemporary Art?
- Is the art that springs out on the present-day events passions of society. It is the newest form of art, amusing people from late
1960s or early around 1970s up to this very minute.
CHARACTERISTICS OF CONTEMPORARY ART:
-This art functions in global society that is culturally diverse and technology oriented. It is a collaborative process and audience plays an active rule in reacting the constructing
meaning about the work of art.
Why Study Contemporary Arts?
-Contemporary art is essential to you not only because it belongs to your time, but it serves a form of expression of the people’s present feelings and longings.
-Contemporary works of art are the means which through artists of today communicate their sentiments.
Synthesis: In this lesson you were helped to understand and to know what contemporary arts is, and how it is different from the arts through the years. You also learned the
characteristics as well as the reasons why you should study the contemporary arts.
PART III: (What to reflect and understand)
You will be provided an activity where you can showcase the different contemporary arts of the Philippines, through its different forms. You will also be provided with questions
where you are going to answer after the performance.
RUA for Students Learning:
The students will analyze how their performance reflect on contemporary art’s characteristics.

Objectives: a). define and Identify the Contemporary Arts of the Philippines and its regions. b.) demonstrate the different contemporary arts. c.) appreciate the contributions of the different Philippine contemporary artists. It is a form of creative activity such as painting, music, literature and dance.   • 2. PART II: ARTS THROUGH THE AGES What is Contemporary Art? - Is the art that springs out on the present-day events passions of society. It is the newest form of art, amusing people from late 1960s or early around 1970s up to this very minute. CHARACTERISTICS OF CONTEMPORARY ART: -This art functions in global society that is culturally diverse and technology oriented. It is a collaborative process and audience plays an active rule in reacting the constructing meaning about the work of art. Why Study Contemporary Arts? -Contemporary art is essential to you not only because it belongs to your time, but it serves a form of expression of the people’s present feelings and longings. -Contemporary works of art are the means which through artists of today communicate their sentiments. Synthesis: In this lesson you were helped to understand and to know what contemporary arts is, and how it is different from the arts through the years. You also learned the characteristics as well as the reasons why you should study the contemporary arts. PART III: (What to reflect and understand) You will be provided an activity where you can showcase the different contemporary arts of the Philippines, through its different forms. You will also be provided with questions where you are going to answer after the performance.
