1.Humanities deal with the expression of
the internal world of a person, a world
where everything is subjective. The
internal world includes a person’s
emotions, dreams, and aspirations.

structured, the humanities are
not as accurate structured. The
sciences are objective, giving
out facts while the humanities
are subjective, expressing
personal views and opinions.
Science can be measured while
humanities is more difficult to
measure.
14. 1.2 Contemporary Art
It is the newest form of art, amusing
people from the middle to the late
20th century up to this very minute.
Authorities in the arts place the
emergence of contemporary art sometime
during the start of postmodernism in the
West, around the late 1970s. This was the
time when artists reacted to the previous
art called modernism, whose idea of using
a pure, simplified, and streamlined form
and style was fundamental and creating
something new at that time. This gave to
the idea that “ less is more”.
15. Contemporary art is produced by
the 21st century artists living in
the postmodern age which is
function in a global society that is
culturally diverse and technology-
oriented. For one thing, it provides
instances for people to reflect and
respond to contemporary to social
concerns and issues pertinent to
themselves and to the world. For
another thing. it is a combination
of mixed styles, materials,
techniques, and concepts that
challenges tradition.

Modern art and Contemporary art both can be
considered revolutionary, but Contemporary art is
more about experimentation and freedom.Modern art
is an expression of individuality, while Contemporary
art focuses on social impact, with society as the
primary focus.

Encompasses a variety of media, from traditional
painting to video art and tech-enabled artworks.

such as globalization, terrorism, and feminism.

Koons, Yoko Ono, Banksy, Yayoi Kusama, and
Antipas Delotavo.

integrated into an artwork. Even seemingly different
art categories can be melded together to produce
an integrated or combined art.
Integrative art - the “ crossbreeding” in the
contemporary scene has resulted in hybrid art.
These art forms are interactive and multi-
disciplinary in nature, that is, consisting of ideas and
practices from different branches of learning- the

building’s architecture is an example of integrative art,
Another example is a unique presentation of a three
great Filipino artists coming from three distinct
disciplines- dances, music and song performing under
one roof at the Cultural of the Philippines(CCP) in
manila.
They are Liza Macuja Elizalde the prima ballerina
Cecil licad the international classical pianist
Lea Salonga the international singer and misical
actress.They combined their talents to produce a rare
performance.The program was called the Legends and
the Classics.
