This document summarizes the design of Aster Aadhar Hospital in Kolhapur, India. The design focuses on using natural light, ventilation, and landscaping to promote healing without compromising functionality or costs. The building form is compact and rectilinear with the major functions organized around a central, triple-height atrium space filled with landscaping and natural light from skylights. Outdoor landscaped terraces are also incorporated. The design efficiently plans the varied functions and service requirements while maximizing natural light and cross-ventilation throughout the building.

Green Building Case Study on TERI,bangalore.Vinay M
This presentation basically encompasses the green practices which are followed or incorporated in the structure to attain the platinum rating systems and posses the sustainable features that way..!!
GREEN BUILDINGS
Uses less energy, water, natural resources
Generates less waste
Healthier for people living in it
Energy saved= 30-40% per day
Enhanced indoor air quality, light and ventilation
Potable water saving upto 20-30%
High productivity of occupants
Minimum generation of non-degradable waste
Lower operating costs and increase asset value
The presentation orients towards a energy efficient designs and sustainable development strategies in a building, TERI institute has been taken as a case study for appropriate demonstration on how these design works to become an energy efficient building.
Green Architecture also known as “sustainable architecture” and “green building” is an approach to architectural design which emphasizes the place of the buildings with both local ecosystems & global environment.
Passive solar design is an important feature in the design of this building. The planning and orientation of spaces and building blocks ensures glare free daylight in all regularly occupied spaces. All the linear blocks are oriented in the East-West direction with shorter facades facing the sun.
Most of the south west facing walls are kept blank in order to protect the building from the harsh south west solar radiations. Where the south west walls have openings, they are protected by means of pergolas or projecting balconies. The east, west and south facades of the building have minimum glazing.
Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. This paper provides actionable insights and strategic recommendations for businesses seeking to leverage branding, social media, and website design as potent tools to enhance their market position and financial success.

2. Introduction
This hospital design demonstrates how the
quality of architectural spaces with natural
light, ventilation, plants and human interaction
could become catalysts in the healing process
without compromising on the functionality and
economy. This design resulted in a compact
rectilinear urban built form with all major
functions organized around a bright, triple
height, landscaped atrium space. From outside
too, the building steps back, thereby creating
landscaped terraces in front. It also called for
the efficient planning of the varied functions
with their multifarious service requirements.
3. NATURAL LIGHT AND
VENTILATION
WHAT IS VENTILATION ?
Ventilation is the intentional introduction of
outdoor air into a space and is mainly used to
control indoor air quality by diluting and
displacing indoor pollutants; it can also be
used for purposes of thermal comfort
WHAT IS NATURAL LIGHTING ?
Natural lighting, also known as
daylighting, is a technique that
efficiently brings natural light into your
structure using exterior glazing
(windows, skylights, etc.), thereby
reducing artificial lighting requirements
and saving energy.
5. Through the inlet air blows inside the building near to the
inlet there is a water body and landscape area consisting
of shrubs through which the air blows and cold breeze are
obtained. This cool breeze then passes out through the
outlet.
The hot air which is formed raises upwards and blows out
through the upper outlet
also the skylights are provided for natural daylighting
through the the corrugated transparent sheets and the
diffused lights spreads throughout the courtyard and
main artrium.
12. NATURAL DAYLIGHTING
THROUGH DOMED SHAPED
SKYLIGHTS
Domed shaped skylights were used for daylighting at
the basement for parking as well as for the
administration block which was at basement.
This skylights are hidden in landscpe area and are
part of landscape.
Through this skylights diffused lights from another
skylight from the main artrium and the courtyard
skylights and it passes through the domed skylight
and spreads of its circumference.
13. Above terrace there are water cooler located so as to cool the water and circulate this cold water
through the pipes throughout the building to reduce heat gained .
Indoor landscape areas are provided to reduce heat and purify the air also terrace landscapes .
No long passsages are there and every intervals there is a terrace or an open space and openings
to have movement of air .
