Ankita Kunwar kept a daily log of her practicum activities from Jestha to Bhadra at Unity for Sustainable Community Development. During this time, she conducted several activities including visiting female community health workers and 1000 day mothers to provide counselling, conducting health and nutrition workshops, demonstrating preparation of nutritious local foods, and organizing key life events to distribute supplies. She also visited urban health centers to observe operations and interview staff. The goal of these activities was to educate community members on maternal and child health, nutrition, sanitation and family planning issues. Ankita developed several skills including counselling, program planning and report writing.
