Q5. HOW DID YOU
ATTRACT/ADDRESS
YOUR AUDIENCE?
■ I think the main attraction point of the magazine is the sheer amount of
content on the front cover, with various titles and band names. This will
attract both my primary and secondary audience as the cover features new
and old bands, therefore appealing to both audiences. The audience may
also believe they are getting their money’s worth seeing as the front cover is
packed with band names and cover stories.
■ Another attraction point is the model as he is staring directly at the camera
which automatically makes the audience come into contact with the image.
The female viewers may be attracted to the magazine as the model is male,
which means they may find him attractive and buy the magazine due to him.
■ The main cover line is another point that attracts the target audience as it
directly says that the model is from Manchester which some people may be
able to relate to as they are from there and so feel more connected with the
model in the magazine. The cover line may also attract readers as it is
promoting a new band and so teenagers may want to read about them and
then listen to their music.
