Artificial intelligence systems can write text, generate graphics and even produce presentation slides, all common components of assessments. The wide availability of tools of this type, all of which are improving all the time, represents a threat to academic integrity. These slides, presentation at the European Conference on Academic Integrity and Plagiarism 2022, explore the development of this problem, the type of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that are out there and suggest some ways in which the educational sector may consider how we work with this technology in the future.
