I personally think that my lesson went pretty well. It seemed like many people were engaged and they
participated. There are things that I could have done to make the activity more challenging for the
consonant digraphs and consonant blends, but overall I think the activity was fun. I felt like the
students payed attention to when I was speaking at the beginning and the end of the activity, which
was ideal for any lesson.
2. What were the strengths about the presentation (lesson and/or teaching) and why?
The strengths of the lesson in my opinion was the fact that the students could play a game while also
participating with consonant blends and consonant digraphs. Even though throwing buttons into a cup
is fun and the lesson involved competition, it still made the students think about consonant digraphs
and consonant blends. I also think that it helped the students realize how many words are made with
consonant blends and consonant digraphs, which will help with their phonemic awareness.

Paikea manages to surpass the patriarchal beliefs so she is a winner which is good for the community

The main event of this movie is when the whales answer Paikea s call for help and end up stranded on
the shore. The locals are unable to move the whales, after many attempts they give up and walk away
with sadness. Then, Pai climbs up on the whale and rides it out to sea, making the rest of the whales

commonly used to describe Alfred Hitchcock s classic which is nearing its fifty fifth birthday. Yet, the
campy, middle aged, prototypal film remains unsettling, frightening, and substantially sublime.
Therefore, what exactly cements this film in infamy? What makes its presence essential to the libraries
of eco critic s far and wide? Well, The Birds utilizes Hitchcock s crafty use of common cinematic
techniques to conjure a sustaining sense of sublimity; the bird s infiniteness, their bouts of terrorism,
and their symbolism illustrates several character s conflicts and loss of power permeating throughout
the film with climatic moments illuminated by his many artful methods.
For instance, Hitchcock initially builds a sense of sublimity by accumulating birds in a way that
represent the incomprehensibility and infiniteness of nature a characteristic of a sublimity. His attempt
to illustrate infinity fills the mind with a sort of delightful horror (Burke). The choice to reiterate the
very concept is shown in the first setting in which the movie takes place: San Francisco. A place
crowded with people, architecture, and a general absence of nature only shown to be caged or
encircling the citizens below. The birds are suspiciously swarming the sky and only one citizens take

The Battle of Antietam started the morning of September 17, 1862 at 0600. Union troops of the First
and Twelfth Corps made their way across Antietam Creek the day before in efforts to attack the left
flank. From 0600 to 1000, the Union troops were with Confederates under Major General Thomas
Stonewall Jackson. This engagement occurred in a 24 acre cornfield. These were the most deadly
