Arthritis Home Remedies
For millions of people who suffer from arthritis, most turn to pain relievers. No wonder arthritis
patients are often depressed. Arthritis affects everyday life and throws the body out of balance.
Unfortunately, patients usually become victims of their own pain, and not a single remedy seems to
help.
However, with a doctor s approval, there are many natural options that may aid in managing arthritis.
These simple arthritis home remedies might just help relieve you from pain of arthritis:
Arthritis Home Remedies (natural)
Add 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey to a cup of warm water. Drink this
twice a day to relieve arthritis symptoms.
Taking alfalfa tea twice a day makes a good cure.
Rub the aching joints with hot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most well known dietary supplements for arthritis sufferers are:
Fish oil. Fish oil helps in controlling the inflammation in the body
Glucosamine Sulfate. Glucosamine has been found out to be a cartilage building substance that is
effective for long term relief of osteoarthritis pain.
Chondroitin brings fluid into the cartilage that enhances the shock absorbing ability and helps you
regulate your weight.
MSM is actually organic sulfur that relieves inflammation.
These are just a few examples of arthritis home remedies that an arthritis patient can use when seeking
pain relief with home remedies. However since scientific studies and testing lack on these alternate
treatments, there is no proof of their effectiveness. Nutritional supplements, application of heat or cold
to affected joints, exercise, and weight loss can improve the joints function and flexibility and perhaps
even slow the progress of the disease.
Last but not least make sure that you share this article with your friends and family. Thank

People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals
For better or worse, zoos are how most people come to know big or exotic animals. Few will ever see
wild penguins sledding downhill to sea on their bellies, giant pandas holding bamboo lollipops or tree
porcupines in the Canadian Rockies (Ackerman, Diane). Different people think about zoos in different
ways. For example, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals better known as the P.E.T.A
organization is completely against zoos and believe they should be witnessed in the wild, not in
captivity. But, The World Associations of Zoos and Aquariums believes that animals need zoos and
aquariums to help with the problem of extinction but should survive on their own in their compound
on their own. Collections of live wild

Story Of An Hour Literary Analysis
How would one feel to hear the news of a significant other or loved one who has passed away due to
an accident? The news is heartbreaking and rather unimaginable. Sorry to say but your husband has
died due to an accident. No one wants to hear those words or go through the painful time. In The Story
of an Hour by Kate Chopin s, the death of her husband meant freedom and happiness. Chopin s uses a
great deal of symbolism throughout the story in order to depict the theme of freedom and happiness.
Mrs. Mallard is the main character whom of which also known as Louise and she is married to Brently

Maycomb In To Kill A Mockingbird
Maycomb is a small town in Alabama, whose outskirts are spread alongside the Alabama River. Since
it is a small town it has a very close knit community, in which everybody knows everybody. In the
novel To Kill A Mockingbird, both the physical and the behavioural sides of Maycomb and its
townspeople are clearly presented. In a physical sense, Maycomb is a very ordinary town. The houses
aren t big and the town square isn t spectacular but for a small town living during the depression they
get a long fairly well. Their houses are built of wood, with tin roofs and porches (some of which are
being supported by 2x4 boards). The town square is made up of many square faced stores all squished
together. Either than the Greek style pillars on the courthouse

is written for intermediate grade levels. In the story, Carter and Jane s mother marries Buzz and
Vanessa s father. The kids are sent on a week long ocean trip with Uncle Dexter and his first mate so

students to discuss the question and add their ideas to the shared document.) Look at your ideas. I see
you all did a great job of inferring what kind of story you think it will be based on the short part I read
to you. (Discuss their various ideas). This story fits in with our habitat unit because it is a survival
story. People have to survive in their habitats, just like animals do. So, what do you think would
happen if you were picked up and dumped into an unknown habitat, like a tropical island, or a desert,
or in the middle of a huge old forest? With no adults, just you and your brothers and sisters. Could you

the year 2020 ( Cochlear Implant Surgery , n.d.). Individuals who are deaf face many challenges and
worry about living their lives and coping with their disabilities, whether they were born without their

accommodations for people who have hearing problems are advancing every day. As a result of this
fast growing medical field, some people who have never been able to experience sound now can. Also,

Similarities Between Gladstone And Benmin Disraeli
The United Kingdom is one of the most powerful nations during the Victorian era, and its Empire now
spreads all over the continents. The second half of the 19th Century could potentially be analysed
through the foreign policy of the two main political figures at the time: William Ewart Gladstone and
Benjamin Disraeli. Both are ambitious, charismatic leaders, and both were several times elected as
British Prime Ministers. The following texts, which we will analyse, represent both parties: firstly, W.
E Gladstone s speech to the House of Commons on May 1877, on the debate concerning the Eastern
Question, and secondly Benjamin Disraeli s speech at the Crystal Palace concerning the maintenance
of the Empire on June 24, 1872. Both texts aim to convince ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It is known that Mr Gladstone, as a liberal, defends free trade. Although this aspect is not brought up
in his speech, a reference is made in Mr Disraeli s speech. Mr Disraeli says, (L.8): it has been proved
to all of us that we have lost money in colonies. and explains that this argument has been used by his
political opponents as a justification to disintegrate (l.32) the empire. Although, as previously
explains, Mr Disraeli s concedes that the colonies are in need of reform, it is only an argumentative
tactic to strengthen his own argument. The Tories are aware of the weakness of the colonies, and are
prepared to act upon it. It is only a matter of reform, easily solved if resolved by the right person, as
Mr Disraeli implies in his speech with his detailed solutions. To him, the economic weaknesses of
colonies are not relevant arguments to justify the reduction of the colonial empire. Moreover, Mr
Disraeli clearly expresses his economic protectionist ideas, by mentioning the necessity of
implementing an imperial tariff (l.19), an interesting opposition to the liberal notion of free trade.
Colonies are an economic disadvantage for the Liberal Party, but Mr Disraeli showed us a different
aspect which only aided him to develop his protectionist

Clara Barton In American History
I, Clara Barton, am significant in American history. I am most commonly known for founding the
American Red Cross. Before that, I grew up on a farm with my parents and four siblings, went to
school, and was employed in the patent office and as a nurse. Without me, life today would be much
different.
I was born in 1821 as Clarissa Harlowe Barton. My birth took place on Christmas Day in Oxford,
Massachusetts. My parents were Captain Stephen Barton and Sarah Barton. My father was a former
fighter in the Indian Wars. After coming home, he owned a farm. My mother supported the fight for
women s rights. Because of this, I was trained to treat others fairly.

my well known quotes was: I may be compelled to face danger, but never fear it, and while our

I became famous when I founded the American Red Cross. I founded it on May 21, 1881, at the age of

Biological Pathways And Signaling Within The Brain
One field of study in the realm of biology that still leaves much to be discovered is neuroscience, more
specifically, the neurological pathways and signaling within the brain. While there have been many
developments and breakthroughs in identifying areas of activity and neural pathways, there are still
many obstacles to overcome and discoveries to be made. The authors of the journal High fidelity
optical reporting of neuronal electrical activity with an ultrafast fluorescent voltage sensor sought to
overcome one such obstacle. They understood the potential for fluorescent proteins to be used for
visualizing the firing of action potentials throughout neuronal pathways of the brain, but realized that
such proteins were unable to accurately record higher frequency signaling across synapses where there
was frequent action potential activity. Within this journal, they describe the methods used to produce a
new fluorescent protein, accelerated sensor of action potential 1(ASAP1), and the benefits that it can
provide to the field of visualizing the activity of action potentials as they propagate through synapses
in the brain. They hypothesized that ASAP1 should be able to give definitive fluorescent readings for
the activity of action potentials propagating through the brain, even in areas with high frequency
activity that have not been measurable before. In order to create this revolutionary new fluorescent
visualization protein, the researchers had to test it in many

Solving Multi Criteria Decision Making Problems
There are several methods to solve multi criteria decision making problems. Analytic Hierarchy
Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) are two methods created by Tomas Saaty. AHP
endeavor to solve the decision making problem by formed it in a hierarchy while ANP is used when
the problem is so complex that cannot be formed as a hierarchy. This complexity happens because of
the effect of criteria between each other or the effect of alternatives on criteria. Generally we can say
The Analytic Network Process is a generalization of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The ANP
approach can be comprises in to four steps [87]:
Step 1: Model construction and problem structuring: The problem should be stated clearly and
decomposed into a rational system like a network
Step 2: Pairwise comparisons and priority vectors: In ANP, like AHP, pairs of decision elements at
each cluster are compared with respect to their importance towards their control criteria. Furthermore,
interdependencies among criteria of a cluster must also be treated pairwise; thus the influence of each
element on other elements can be represented by an eigenvector. The relative importance values are
determined with Saaty s nine scales.
Step 3: Supermatrix structure: the Supermatrix concept is similar to the Markov chain process. To
obtain global priorities in a system with interdependent influences, the local priority vectors are
entered in the appropriate columns of a matrix. As a result, a supermatrix is

Essay On The Tragedy Of Antony And Cleopatra
William Shakespeare s play The Tragedy, of Antony, and Cleopatra written between 1606 and 1607, is
a play filled with political intrigue, power struggles, war and its consequences, and the plight of two
desperately impassioned lovers. The play has at times even been seen as The Greatest Love Story Ever
Told ; however, rather than a passionate love affair between each other, the characters in the play
appear to have a love affair with power(). This love affair with power is mistaken for an infatuation
with each other, thus destroying a great Roman leader and a noble Egyptian queen. The argument put
forward in this essay is that the main characters of the play Mark Antony and Cleopatra are both in
love with power; therefore the central theme to the play ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, she makes Antony [become] her guest (). Cleopatra uses her womanly charms, awe
inspiring beauty and open sexuality, as powerful tools to seduce and attract Antony. Thus she can be
seen as this temptress or femme fatal that using her womanly charms to seduce Antony in their affair.
Therefore, Anthony and Cleopatra are players on a world stage where their feelings for each other are
intertwined with their struggle for power. Another theme presented by Sparknotes is the theme of a
clash between East and West, the West is represented by Caeser who is the embodiment of Rome;
masculine, stoic, logical and brave, whereas the East represented by Cleopatra who is feminine,
decadent, extravagant, and passionate. The clash between West and East is seen in the character of
Mark Antony again, as both contend for his attention. At the end of the Battle of Actium it may appear
as if West has won because Caeser is the triumphant general; however, even Cleopatra refuses to let
Caeser win and be displayed as an Egyptian puppet for the entertainment of the Roman masses
(5.2.207). The theme of power is underlies this theme of a clash between West and East, as Octavius

Types of Image Compression for Medical Imaging Essay
Medical imaging, as we all know, is the process of taking images of various parts of the human body
for diagnostic and surgical purposes. Some of the popular medical imaging modalities are X ray
radiography, Magnetic resonance imaging, Medical ultrasound, Computed tomography etc. Since,
these images contain clinical data of extreme importance for treatment follow ups and are acquired at
cost of radiation exposure, infrastructure, money and time involved. Thus, once acquired, the medical
imaging data should not be disposed off casually, instead it should be retained so that it can be utilized
for various medical applications and the chances of repeated testing can be minimized. Also,
maintaining electronic health records of patients serves ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words an optimal compression ratio should be chosen so as to suit the needs of medical
examination, without compromising with its diagnostic value [2].
1.2 Types of Compression
Image compression can be classified into two types viz. lossless and lossy compression.
Lossless compression is the technique of reducing the size of an image without any virtual loss of
information. It is also known as reversible form of image compression since the image obtained after
compression and then decompression resembles the original one. Typical compression ratios that can
be achieved ranges from 1.5 to 3.6 [3].
Conversely, lossy or irreversible form of compression techniques are those in which some or the other
information is always lost. Though, lossy compression algorithms are capable of compressing images
at ratios much higher than that achieved from lossless compression thus, ensuring faster rates of
transmission and lesser storage space. However, the regenerated image is not guaranteed to be an
exact replica of the original image, as some data is lost permanently, which will cause error during
decompression. Typical compression ratios achieved may range from 5 to 50.
Though lossy data compression is often acceptable but the game is not that easy when it comes to
medical images. The data from medical imaging examination should possess certain requirements for
fidelity [3].
1.3 Barriers to image compression
Lossy compression:

The Duchess Of Malfi
By: John Webster
John Webster decided to take a very interesting route with his book The Duchess of Malif. Webster
started from the very beginning of the work to show the dominance of a man to a women in the 1600 s
even to a woman with power. The Duchess of Malfi (Webster, 2009) is interesting in regards to
gender, because it overthrows and reinforces the traditionally assigned gender roles of 17th Century.
He goes to show that a man was thought to have complete control over the woman. In this time period
a female was under the ruling of her father and brother until the woman became married, which in turn
left this particular brother, Ferdinand, not wanting his sister to ... Show more content on

When a man has a mistress it goes to show that he is looking at women as nothing but a simple object
not something to cherish or care about just an object. The mistress he proves himself with is Julia. He
decided to trust Julia with a bit of information about the Duchess s murder in hopes that she would
keep it to herself. But when she tells the secret about the murder he decided to kill her by poisoning
her. The Cardinal is quoted as saying,
I knew thou couldst not keep my council, I have bound thee to t by death (The Duchess of Malfi,
5.2.275 276).
Instead of trusting his mistress he chose to kill her as a source of revenge to get rid of her.
This Play the Duchess of Malfi by John Webster is quit a gender striking play. In many ways are roles
played my genders in the 21st century really messed with in this work. I believe that the Gender roles
that we have no have became much more just and are far more equal for a woman in today s day and

marriages anymore and a brother does not have control over his siter. Webster had a very fascinating

Role Of Organisms On A Tropical Ecosystem
Part B The Role of Organisms
A producer in a tropical ecosystem is the plants and trees. A primary consumer in a tropical ecosystem
is a squirrel. A secondary consumer in a tropical ecosystem is a jack rabbit. A tertiary consumer in a
tropical ecosystem is a mountain lion. A decomposer in a tropical ecosystem is mushrooms, fungi and
moss.
The predator is the Mountain Lion. The prey is the deer. So the predator and prey relationship is
between the mountain lion and the deer. The predator which is the mountain lion hunts for the deer to
survive and feed off. The mountain lion is a carnivore and is one of the few at the top of this tropical
food chain. The prey which is the deer is a herbivore and feeds of plants and trees.

cylindrical carbon anode surrounding a tungsten filament placed inside an evacuated glass chamber.
The glass chamber contains trace amounts of vapor phase mercury in a near vacuum. Thus, excited

Hydraulic Fracking In The Oil And Gas Industry
Introduction and Background In the oil and gas industry, fracking is a major current issue that
engineers are dealing with for the current state of the United states. Hydraulic fracking, or fracking is
the process of drilling a well to the depth in the earth where shale rock is located. Once the drill bit
reaches this specific depth, the drilling alters its path to a horizontal track into the shale rock in order
to span the entire reservoir. Next, fracking fluid, consisting of sand, liquid chemicals, and water, is
injected into the shale rock at a high pressure, which cause small cracks, known as fissures, in the
rock. This action allows oil and natural gas to freely escape into the pipeline. The oil and gas mixture
then flows to the surface ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also the disposal of the fracking fluid should be regulated in a non harmful way to the environment.
Along with many other engineering activities, there are ignorant people that rally against fracking due
to the little information they know and their refusal to research the topic before making
accusations. Conclusion In conclusion, Fracking is an innovative way to extract oil and gas from shale
rock. It differs from conventional drilling from the fact that deeper wells and horizontal drilling are
utilized in order to produce more. There are many benefits that accompany fracking, such as increased
employment and decreased cost of importation for the US because of their large reserves of shale
rock. Fracking does come with some drawbacks, such as environmental issues and fresh water
reserves. With future regulations of fracking, the negative environmental effects can be mitigated.
Also, additional water purification systems should be implemented at fracking sites in order for excess
water to be reused and not disposed. Currently, OPEC has lowered the price to $54 per barrel, which
limits fracking because the breakeven price per barrel is $64 ( A key investor s guide to the crude oil
market ). When the price per barrel exceeds $64, US will become an exporter rather than importing
form outside countries. This will ultimately increase the US

A Child Is Cooperative And Friendly
Henoildo had an easy temperament as an infant. He was generally happy and smiled a lot. Henoildo is
now resilient, but did struggle with some overcontrolling emotions. Around 3 years old, Henoildo was
overall a positive child. He was cooperative and friendly, and able to focus well on tasks. On some
occasions, he became somewhat anxious and unsure of himself in novel social situations. He would
cling to certain teachers for a while, but after strong encouragement, he would join in with the rest of
the children in activities. According to the textbook, an overcontrolled child is cooperative, and
follows the rules, but is shy in social situations and can become anxious and clingy under pressure,
which described Henoildo during his early childhood ages. (Arnett, 2013, pg 263). Through his early
childhood years, he was problematic at some points in time, but when he reached middle childhood,
he developed into a well behaved young man. He would become very shy and anxious when in a
stressful situations. He was never aggressive, but did have a difficult time focusing on school and
staying attentive. This over controlling emotional time was generally around the time his father and I
separated. Even though we tried not to let out issues affect him, Henoildo did feel some guilt and
withdrew more. He remained friendly and polite most of the time in school, but his anxiety worsened,
which caused the problematic behavior. Over time of talking to him and bringing him to

Rhetorical Analysis of Speeches in to Kill a Mockingbird,...
We should study spoken language as it is truly unique and we can see the effect and beauty of spoken
language in works of great orators and writers. Spoken language is truly an art, which involves many
techniques to perfect and master it. One of the techniques is rhetoric. Rhetoric is the art of effective or
persuasive speaking or writing. The ancient Greeks first developed public speaking. Under Roman,
influence public speaking developed further. This was heavily under the influence of Cicero and
Aristotle. The speeches I have chosen to study are the closing speech of Atticus Fitch in the novel to
Kill a Mockingbird and the Battle of Falkirk by William Wallace in the movie Brave heart. Atticus s
speech occurs in a courtroom in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is done in order to engender pity and sympathy towards Tom Robinson in the courtroom and thus
motivate the jury to return an innocent verdict.
Atticus uses a combination of convincing and logical evidence, but is also very passionate as he is not
doing this as a lip service. He was doing this, as he could not live with himself if he did not do his best
to defend Tom Robinson despite the chances of winning the court case. The use of emotive language
and well reasoned arguments makes the case more persuasive and plausible. Atticus is rather astute in
showing compassion for Mayella, this shows honesty and integrity in his character therefore the jury
is more inclined to believe him over the witnesses. Atticus makes a direct plea to the jury but he does
this on a personal level. Atticus pauses to create more impact as it is dramatically effective as it
focuses our attention to the truth. Atticus throws the burden of blame on Mayella making her culpable
of the crime that happened and not his client. He uses repetition to emphasise his case and evidence.
Atticus s tone becomes increasing aggressive and uncompromising however, he remains courteous
and dignified throughout. Atticus highlights to the jury the sheer arrogance of the witnesses of the
state who believed their word would not be questioned over a black man. Atticus shouted TEMERITY
as he had become so frustrated. This is the only point in the speech where

Analysis Of Blood In The Hills
Based off glancing at the title alone, the reader is immediately aware of what to expect upon opening
the publication. Blood in the Hills: The Story of Khe Sahn, the Most Savage Fight of the Vietnam War,
written by Robert Maras, with the assistance of Charles W. Sasser, tells the story of Maras, a Vietnam
veteran, and his experiences during the war. From his combat landing on Red Beach, to his departure
from the Demilitarized Zone, also known as the DMZ, Robert Maras describes in great detail the joys
and sorrows of his time in Vietnam. The book also exhibits the development of the average Marine,
and the mental and physical toll the fighting at Khe Sanh takes on each individual. Throughout the
memoir, the warrior creed of Semper Fidelis is repeated an abundance of times, meaning always
faithful, and symbolizing the US Marine Corps determination to fight for their beloved country (Maras
3). This saying was especially influential during the times Bob Maras was subjected to viewing his
comrades perish before him, as he could only hope he would survive the countless battles in the jungle
terrain of Khe Sanh. Blood in the Hills is a powerful read for those engrossed with not only the
corporeal aspect of war, but fascinated in learning about warfare from a psychological perspective.
Critically speaking, the authors are somewhat qualified to discuss the topic at hand, but Maras, the
protagonist, is by no means a professional historian on the Vietnam War. In fact, the same

Summary Of The Novel The Wednesday Wars
Have you ever read a book and seen yourself in the main character? This happened to me in the novel
The Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt. This novel is about a teenager who goes to his first day of
seventh grade. In his school, on Wednesdays, the Catholic children go to CCD, or Confraternity of
Christian Doctrine, which is a religious education, while the Jewish children go to Hebrew to prepare
for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. However, the protagonist, Holling Hoodhood is Presbyterian, so does not
go to either of those classes, whereas he stays with Mrs. Baker, a teacher Holling believes to hate him
from the first day of school. Throughout the novel, Gary D. Schmidt, through Holling s thoughts and
actions, is able to distinguish Holling s characteristics.

Alcoholism As A Family Disease
It is estimated that the number of adults, in the United States, who abuse alcohol or are alcohol
dependent is approximates 17.6 million, or 8.46 percent of adults (Substance Abuse and Mental Health
Services Administration, 2015). These statistics present a primary health concern (Hart Kisr, 2013).
Still yet, an additional concern is warranted because of the family influences on the development of
problems with alcohol and the risk for family members developing alcoholism and other mental or
behavioral issues (National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, 2005). Evidence points to
problems with alcohol that are associated with various family factors, such as spousal and parental
use, use by children, family principles and attitudes about alcohol consumption, dynamics of family
and patterns of relationship, and interplay of alcohol with biological and genetic factors (NIAAA,
2005). Alcoholism is considered a family disease all members are affected, thus, those who are
concerned the most about the alcoholic are affected the most (Al Anon Family Group, 2008). For this
reason, Al Anon offers peer support in an environment of hope, strength and offers experience in
managing an alcoholic loved one (Al Anon Family Group, 2008). This paper presents a brief history
of the Al Anon self help recovery program for anyone affected by an alcoholic or alcohol abuser, how

The Courage to Free a Mockingbird
The Courage to Free a Mockingbird There are no songs being sung by the mockingbird the day
Atticus Finch shoots and kills the mad dog as his neighbors hide inside their homes in fear. It is by the
same token that the silence teaches Atticus s children their first lesson of courage in the novel To Kill
a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. In the eyes of Atticus courage is found in a man s moral values and not
something proven with the use of a gun for he finds no reason to brag of his actions. He shows that it
is necessary to use a weapon to have moral courage but that the true weapon is in ones conscience
effort to defend ones beliefs. The lesson Atticus teaches that day to his children is courage is not

if you win or lose. As a result Atticus finds an ally in Heck Tate when he lies and says Bob Ewell had

The Importance Of Repercussion In Dead Poets Society
Robin Williams stated in the film, Dead Poets Society, that those who have now passed, [were] [f]ull
of hormones, just like you. Invincible just like you feel. The world is their oyster (Williams). When
people believe that they are invincible, they forget that their actions have repercussions. In the belief
that the world is their oyster, obtaining the pearl inside to achieve success is nothing but a solo
mission, which is apparent in the novels Oedipus the King , Death of a Salesman and Do Androids
Dream of Electric Sheep. In these literary works the repercussions from being covetous leads to
hurting the ones dearest to them by risking what is important in life and eliciting self destruction. In
life, rapaciousness drives a person until they lose the ability to rationalize their actions, resulting in the
detachment of others. When one is greedy they lack the morality of working their way up to
accomplish a goal. Instead they are steadfast in taking unnecessary risks in order to achieve.
Unfortunately, they compromise their relationships as well.To start off with, Family is the most
important factor in one s life. Risking it, regrettably ensues problems in the relationships with others.
For instance, Biff from Death of a Salesman has an ongoing disagreement with his father, Willy. The
two cannot seem to get along because Biff believes his father has had the wrong dreams (Miller 138).

Brown Shirts The most dynamic segment of the Nazi movements before it came to power was
Sturmabteilung (SA) or Brown Shirts which protected Hitler s political meetings from the attacks by
rivals (Campbell 659). SA functioned as a paramilitary wing of the Nazi party during the raise of
Hitler in 1920s and 1930s. Their name Brown Shirts came after the uniform that they used which was
inspired by the Mussolini s Black Shirts, and their main duty was to eliminate all the enemies and
coordinated allies once the Nazis were in the control of the German state, 1933. SA was consisted by

In 1931, the captain of SA was changed and the new leader was Ernst Rőhm, who created a system
structure in the SA by putting Hitler as the supreme leader of SA and then by putting himself as the
chief of staff. Since SA grew while Rőhm was in charge, Rőhm started to believe that a revolution will
happen and he would be on top of it (Hancock 2). Furthermore, he suggested SA and army to be
combined for his new force, and this suggestion horrified senior officers. Senior officers of
Reichswehr became horrified because traditionally they have seemed SA as street thugs without
discipline and class who did bad things to humanity. Among these beliefs, Hitler also was concerned
with the chief of SA who was becoming a threat for the Nazi party. All in all, Rőhm was not satisfied
with Hitlers choices and he sends Hitler a letter writing that he is betraying everyone and that his
commanders are not the ones who will lead to a revolution as SA would ( The Sturmabteilung or SA
5) . The fate of Rőhm changed after this letter was written since Hitler made a deal with Reichswehr
and decided to get rid of officers of SA. This resulted to the Night of the Long Knives which took
place in June 1934. The Night of Long Knives is known as the purge where SS or the first paramilitary
army of Nazi Party arrests and kills the officers and the chief of SA which has been a threat for Hitler.

The Design and Architecture of Sacred Sites
Introduction:
Hypothesis The design of sacred sites facilitates rituals and reflects an approach to the divine.
The design and architecture of sacred sites, is considered to be a highly important aspect in the correct
functioning of rituals that take place within, namely two main world religions:
Christianity/Catholicism and Judaism.
Christianity has a close relationship with Judaism, both historically and theologically. Jesus, the
twelve disciples, the author of most of the New Testament and the members of the earliest Christian
churches were all Jews. Jesus family also followed Jewish customs and Jesus frequently quoted the
Hebrew Bible. Followers of Jesus believe him to be the Messiah which was a figure predicted in the
Jewish Bible. (Religion Facts, 2014)
Rituals through both these religions help the participant gain a sense of closeness to their divine being
and aid their faith in ways such meditation, prayer, reflection and celebration.
This report will aim to explain how these sacred sites are designed in order to facilitate rituals and
reflect a persons experience and closeness with the divine as they partake in the sacred rituals of their
religion.
Methods of research (primary/secondary sources):
On the 27th March 2014, St Augustine s visited St Stephens Cathedral and the Brisbane City
Synagogue. Primary evidence was collected from both these sacred sites through the tour guides that
gave the students knowledge and understanding about

Net Neutrality Policy Essay
the August of 2005, the F.C.C. adopted a very important policy statement regarding net neutrality. This
policy statement protects several things that are essential to anyone who frequently uses the Internet. It
gives consumers the freedom to access any content and to use any application within the law. In early
December, 2017, the F.C.C. voted to repeal it. However, just over half of the US states have made
attempts to pass legislation that reinforces net neutrality. Net Neutrality protects American internet
freedom , ensuring that the people can make full use of the internet and prevents Internet Service
Providers from having too much control. The rules set in place by the F.C.C. in 2005 protect the rights
that internet users have. Naturally, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Berners Lee questions whether America [wants] a web where cable companies determine winners and

cable companies would be able to determine which creative ideas succeed (Berners Lee 2). This
opposes the freedom that American citizens strive for. It puts a limits the equal opportunity that so
Americans find so important. Furthermore, the change would allow internet service providers to
throttle some online traffic and allow companies to pay extra for faster delivery of their content
(Martinez Hoisington). Without net neutrality, internet service providers would be able to smother
small or upcoming businesses by limiting their audience. However, the impact of the repeal of net
neutrality does not stop here. The repeal of net neutrality also eliminates several other consumer
protections, such as a requirement that ISPs be more transparent with customers about hidden fees and
the consequences of exceeding data caps (Brodkin 1). Repealing net neutrality would deregulate
internet service providers, allowing them to have far too much control over their

Should Organizations Fear Websites Where Consumers Post...
Should organizations fear websites where consumers post negative or uncomplimentary messages

I would not use the word fear; however, organizations and consumers should be cognizant of such
websites and the impact that the sites can have on any type of business.
Give an example of a corporate website where negative and/or uncomplimentary messages have been

The importance of relying on scholarly peer reviewed articles and journals become clearer with each

Few will ever see wild penguins sledding downhill to sea on their bellies, giant pandas holding bamboo lollipops or tree porcupines in the Canadian Rockies (Ackerman, Diane). Different people think about zoos in different ways. For example, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals better known as the P.E.T.A organization is completely against zoos and believe they should be witnessed in the wild, not in captivity. But, The World Associations of Zoos and Aquariums believes that animals need zoos and aquariums to help with the problem of extinction but should survive on their own in their compound on their own. Since it is a small town it has a very close knit community, in which everybody knows everybody. In the novel To Kill A Mockingbird, both the physical and the behavioural sides of Maycomb and its townspeople are clearly presented. In a physical sense, Maycomb is a very ordinary town. The houses aren t big and the town square isn t spectacular but for a small town living during the depression they get a long fairly well. In the story, Carter and Jane s mother marries Buzz and Vanessa s father. The kids are sent on a week long ocean trip with Uncle Dexter and his first mate so the kids could get to know each other better when their parents go on their honeymoon. A terrible storm washes Dexter and Joe out to sea on the life raft and leaves the children alone on a sinking boat. (Read the excerpt on the first page of the book to the students). Exciting, isn t it? What kind of a story do you think this will be? Talk within your group and then add your ideas in a bubble chart. The name of the document you add to is on the Smart Board. Raise your hand if you are the recorder for your group today. Remember to watch your timer so you are done in time. (Allow students to discuss the question and add their ideas to the shared document.) Look at your ideas. I see you all did a great job of inferring what kind of story you think it will be based on the short part I read to you. (Discuss their various ideas). This story fits in with our habitat unit because it is a survival story. People have to survive in their habitats, just like animals do. So, what do you think would happen if you were picked up and dumped into an unknown habitat, like a tropical island, or a desert, or in the middle of a huge old forest? With no adults, just you and your brothers and sisters. Could you survive? (Let the question linger a few seconds). I m going to count down from 10 and when I hit zero I want to see groups of three standing back to back waiting for instructions. Go. (When students are ready proceed). When I say, go I want you to turn and face your partners and discuss exactly what you three would need to do right away to stay alive if you were stranded together in the wild. Remember what we have learned about what organisms need to survive. I have set the timer for five minutes. Go. (When timer goes off, bring students back to a full group on the rug). I heard a lot of great ideas as I walked around the room. Well done! Now, as I read the story to you, I want you to take special notice of what these children do to survive. Would you have done the same thing? What would you have done differently? What mistakes did they make? What ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The second half of the 19th Century could potentially be analysed through the foreign policy of the two main political figures at the time: William Ewart Gladstone and Benjamin Disraeli. Both are ambitious, charismatic leaders, and both were several times elected as British Prime Ministers. The following texts, which we will analyse, represent both parties: firstly, W. E Gladstone s speech to the House of Commons on May 1877, on the debate concerning the Eastern Question, and secondly Benjamin Disraeli s speech at the Crystal Palace concerning the maintenance of the Empire on June 24, 1872. Although this aspect is not brought up in his speech, a reference is made in Mr Disraeli s speech. Mr Disraeli says, (L.8): it has been proved to all of us that we have lost money in colonies. and explains that this argument has been used by his political opponents as a justification to disintegrate (l.32) the empire. Although, as previously explains, Mr Disraeli s concedes that the colonies are in need of reform, it is only an argumentative tactic to strengthen his own argument. The Tories are aware of the weakness of the colonies, and are prepared to act upon it. It is only a matter of reform, easily solved if resolved by the right person, as Mr Disraeli implies in his speech with his detailed solutions. To him, the economic weaknesses of colonies are not relevant arguments to justify the reduction of the colonial empire. Moreover, Mr Disraeli clearly expresses his economic protectionist ideas, by mentioning the necessity of implementing an imperial tariff (l.19), an interesting opposition to the liberal notion of free trade. Colonies are an economic disadvantage for the Liberal Party, but Mr Disraeli showed us a different aspect which only aided him to develop his protectionist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Biological Pathways And Signaling Within The Brain One field of study in the realm of biology that still leaves much to be discovered is neuroscience, more specifically, the neurological pathways and signaling within the brain. While there have been many developments and breakthroughs in identifying areas of activity and neural pathways, there are still many obstacles to overcome and discoveries to be made. The authors of the journal High fidelity optical reporting of neuronal electrical activity with an ultrafast fluorescent voltage sensor sought to overcome one such obstacle. They understood the potential for fluorescent proteins to be used for visualizing the firing of action potentials throughout neuronal pathways of the brain, but realized that such proteins were unable to accurately record higher frequency signaling across synapses where there was frequent action potential activity. Within this journal, they describe the methods used to produce a new fluorescent protein, accelerated sensor of action potential 1(ASAP1), and the benefits that it can provide to the field of visualizing the activity of action potentials as they propagate through synapses in the brain. They hypothesized that ASAP1 should be able to give definitive fluorescent readings for the activity of action potentials propagating through the brain, even in areas with high frequency activity that have not been measurable before. In order to create this revolutionary new fluorescent visualization protein, the researchers had to test it in many ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Solving Multi Criteria Decision Making Problems There are several methods to solve multi criteria decision making problems. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) are two methods created by Tomas Saaty. AHP endeavor to solve the decision making problem by formed it in a hierarchy while ANP is used when the problem is so complex that cannot be formed as a hierarchy. This complexity happens because of the effect of criteria between each other or the effect of alternatives on criteria. Generally we can say The Analytic Network Process is a generalization of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The ANP approach can be comprises in to four steps [87]: Step 1: Model construction and problem structuring: The problem should be stated clearly and decomposed into a rational system like a network Step 2: Pairwise comparisons and priority vectors: In ANP, like AHP, pairs of decision elements at each cluster are compared with respect to their importance towards their control criteria. Furthermore, interdependencies among criteria of a cluster must also be treated pairwise; thus the influence of each element on other elements can be represented by an eigenvector. The relative importance values are determined with Saaty s nine scales. Step 3: Supermatrix structure: the Supermatrix concept is similar to the Markov chain process. To obtain global priorities in a system with interdependent influences, the local priority vectors are entered in the appropriate columns of a matrix. As a result, a supermatrix is ... Essay On The Tragedy Of Antony And Cleopatra William Shakespeare s play The Tragedy, of Antony, and Cleopatra written between 1606 and 1607, is a play filled with political intrigue, power struggles, war and its consequences, and the plight of two desperately impassioned lovers. The play has at times even been seen as The Greatest Love Story Ever Told ; however, rather than a passionate love affair between each other, the characters in the play appear to have a love affair with power(). This love affair with power is mistaken for an infatuation with each other, thus destroying a great Roman leader and a noble Egyptian queen. Therefore, Anthony and Cleopatra are players on a world stage where their feelings for each other are intertwined with their struggle for power. The clash between West and East is seen in the character of Mark Antony again, as both contend for his attention. In other words an optimal compression ratio should be chosen so as to suit the needs of medical examination, without compromising with its diagnostic value [2]. 1.2 Types of Compression Image compression can be classified into two types viz. lossless and lossy compression. Lossless compression is the technique of reducing the size of an image without any virtual loss of information. It is also known as reversible form of image compression since the image obtained after compression and then decompression resembles the original one. Typical compression ratios that can be achieved ranges from 1.5 to 3.6 [3]. Conversely, lossy or irreversible form of compression techniques are those in which some or the other information is always lost. Though, lossy compression algorithms are capable of compressing images at ratios much higher than that achieved from lossless compression thus, ensuring faster rates of transmission and lesser storage space. However, the regenerated image is not guaranteed to be an exact replica of the original image, as some data is lost permanently, which will cause error during decompression. Typical compression ratios achieved may range from 5 to 50. Though lossy data compression is often acceptable but the game is not that easy when it comes to medical images. The data from medical imaging examination should possess certain requirements for fidelity [3]. 1.3 Barriers to image compression Lossy compression: ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. Hydraulic Fracking In The Oil And Gas Industry Introduction and Background In the oil and gas industry, fracking is a major current issue that engineers are dealing with for the current state of the United states. Hydraulic fracking, or fracking is the process of drilling a well to the depth in the earth where shale rock is located. Once the drill bit reaches this specific depth, the drilling alters its path to a horizontal track into the shale rock in order to span the entire reservoir. Next, fracking fluid, consisting of sand, liquid chemicals, and water, is injected into the shale rock at a high pressure, which cause small cracks, known as fissures, in the rock. This action allows oil and natural gas to freely escape into the pipeline. The oil and gas mixture then flows to the surface ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also the disposal of the fracking fluid should be regulated in a non harmful way to the environment. Along with many other engineering activities, there are ignorant people that rally against fracking due to the little information they know and their refusal to research the topic before making accusations. Conclusion In conclusion, Fracking is an innovative way to extract oil and gas from shale rock. It differs from conventional drilling from the fact that deeper wells and horizontal drilling are utilized in order to produce more. There are many benefits that accompany fracking, such as increased employment and decreased cost of importation for the US because of their large reserves of shale rock. Fracking does come with some drawbacks, such as environmental issues and fresh water reserves. With future regulations of fracking, the negative environmental effects can be mitigated. Also, additional water purification systems should be implemented at fracking sites in order for excess water to be reused and not disposed. Currently, OPEC has lowered the price to $54 per barrel, which limits fracking because the breakeven price per barrel is $64 ( A key investor s guide to the crude oil market ). Blood in the Hills: The Story of Khe Sahn, the Most Savage Fight of the Vietnam War, written by Robert Maras, with the assistance of Charles W. Sasser, tells the story of Maras, a Vietnam veteran, and his experiences during the war. From his combat landing on Red Beach, to his departure from the Demilitarized Zone, also known as the DMZ, Robert Maras describes in great detail the joys and sorrows of his time in Vietnam. The book also exhibits the development of the average Marine, and the mental and physical toll the fighting at Khe Sanh takes on each individual. Throughout the memoir, the warrior creed of Semper Fidelis is repeated an abundance of times, meaning always faithful, and symbolizing the US Marine Corps determination to fight for their beloved country (Maras 3). This saying was especially influential during the times Bob Maras was subjected to viewing his comrades perish before him, as he could only hope he would survive the countless battles in the jungle terrain of Khe Sanh. Blood in the Hills is a powerful read for those engrossed with not only the corporeal aspect of war, but fascinated in learning about warfare from a psychological perspective. These statistics present a primary health concern (Hart Kisr, 2013). Still yet, an additional concern is warranted because of the family influences on the development of problems with alcohol and the risk for family members developing alcoholism and other mental or behavioral issues (National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, 2005). Invincible just like you feel. The world is their oyster (Williams). When people believe that they are invincible, they forget that their actions have repercussions. In the belief that the world is their oyster, obtaining the pearl inside to achieve success is nothing but a solo mission, which is apparent in the novels Oedipus the King , Death of a Salesman and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. In these literary works the repercussions from being covetous leads to hurting the ones dearest to them by risking what is important in life and eliciting self destruction. In life, rapaciousness drives a person until they lose the ability to rationalize their actions, resulting in the detachment of others. When one is greedy they lack the morality of working their way up to accomplish a goal. Instead they are steadfast in taking unnecessary risks in order to achieve. In 1931, the captain of SA was changed and the new leader was Ernst Rőhm, who created a system structure in the SA by putting Hitler as the supreme leader of SA and then by putting himself as the chief of staff. Since SA grew while Rőhm was in charge, Rőhm started to believe that a revolution will happen and he would be on top of it (Hancock 2). Furthermore, he suggested SA and army to be combined for his new force, and this suggestion horrified senior officers. Senior officers of Reichswehr became horrified because traditionally they have seemed SA as street thugs without discipline and class who did bad things to humanity. Among these beliefs, Hitler also was concerned with the chief of SA who was becoming a threat for the Nazi party. All in all, Rőhm was not satisfied with Hitlers choices and he sends Hitler a letter writing that he is betraying everyone and that his commanders are not the ones who will lead to a revolution as SA would ( The Sturmabteilung or SA 5) . The fate of Rőhm changed after this letter was written since Hitler made a deal with Reichswehr and decided to get rid of officers of SA. This resulted to the Night of the Long Knives which took place in June 1934.
