Rhetorical Analysis Of JFK Adgural Address
JFK Rhetorical Analysis On January 20th, 1961, John F. Kennedy successfully read his
inaugural address to a large crowd of Americans as he took the oath of office and became the
35th president of the United States. Thousands of people were standing outside listening to JFK
speak, as he explained that this new beginning would be considered a great change within the
country. Kennedy did not win the presidential election by a large popular vote, but after his use
of words and rhetorical devices in his speech, he helped create the perfect stage for a clear and
compelling structure that led many people to approve of him and trust the changes he wanted to
make for the country. Kennedy used anaphora as a way to emphasize his point to the audience. JFK
repeatedly explained to the crowd of people listening that he did not want the country to be split
into different groups, but he wanted peace and harmony among all Americans. He continuously
begins his sentences with Let both sides... By creating a sense of unity throughout the different
groups of people, JFK tried to convince the audience that a major change was needed for the United
States. By repeating the words Let both sides, JFK allows the audience to believe that war is
avoidable for the country. JFK uses repetition when he says, For man holds in his mortal hands the
power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. By saying this, Kennedy
shows Americans that the world is different now,

Discourse on Method Essay example
Discourse on Method
Heuresis (or invention) comprises, as Richard Lanham notes, the first of the five traditional parts
of rhetorical theory, concerned with the finding and elaboration of arguments (1991: 91). In
Aristotle s Rhetoric the category of heuresis included the kinds of proof available to the
rhetorician, lists of valid and invalid topoi, as well as the various commonplaces the rhetorician
might touch upon loci or stereotypical themes and observations ( time flies ) appropriate to a given
occasion
(Lanham 1991: 166 170). In a more contemporary sense heuretic is defined by the OED as the
branch of logic which treats of the art of discovery or invention. Both senses of this word, along
with its more familiar cognate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ulmer s book presents itself, in part, as a heuristic device for enabling such new forms of research
and text production from the inventio provided by Jacques Derrida. In The Other Heading, reflecting
on contemporary Europe,
Derrida repeats a fundamental question posed by Paul Valery in 1939 in the wake of fascism:
What are you going to do?
What are you going to do today? (1992: 18, cited in Ulmer 84). Ulmer sees his work as a
response, in 1992, to this call for invention. Ulmer s text also presents itself as providing a method
for the contemporary paradigm (12) of poststructuralism comparable to the method Descartes
provided for an emergent scientific rationalism. He is quick, however, to qualify this project for
any attempt at a postmodernist method is contradictory (an impossible possibility) (25). In one of
the most suggestive sections of work, the initial chapter contends that all of the manifestos of the
avant garde, belong to the tradition of the discourse on method (8), and provides an analysis of the
common elements comprising such discourses. They are
representable for mnemonic reference by the acronym CATTt (8).
C = Contrast (opposition, inversion, differentiation) A = Analogy (figuration, displacement) T =
Theory (repetition, literalization) T = Target (application, purpose) t = Tale (secondary elaboration,
representability) (8)
Thus Descartes discourse on method

Summary Of The Sandwich Generation
David Kopec
Application Activities #1,
Sandwich Generation, G.

The Sandwich Generation
After reading the article The Sandwich Generation: Who is Caring for you? by Ruth Tarantine I
have learned what the Sandwich Generation is and how to assist individuals in this generation. The
Sandwich Generation was originally used to describe baby boomers that were women in their
30s and 40s who cared for their parents and their own children. This term was coined by Dorothy
Miller. As time passed, the term changed to include both male and females and the age range is
now 40 to 65 years old. Almost 50% of adults 40 50 years old care for a parent and child. Caring
for a parent and child can stress a caregiver. Adding a chronic disease to either parent or child can
put additional stress on the caregiver. To help relieve some of this stress a caregiver will seek
outside help, such as hospitalization, which in reality can do more harm than good for the
caregiver. The caregiver will think that having their parent hospitalized will relieve this stress, but
instead this will cause them to feel guilty. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There were plenty of options provided in the article but I decided to cover the ones I believed
would be most helpful to anyone. The first step you can take is to take care of yourself. Many
times when helping others we forget about ourselves. We put things off to the side or don t pay
attention to our own needs. We can forget to eat right, sleep, get regular checkups, or even take a
break. When you are constantly taking care of someone you may go to a local fast food place
because you don t have time to cook a healthy meal. Some caregivers will turn to drugs or alcohol
to relieve stress. This can complicate their lives even more and make them more irritable. All of
these factors can add up and decrease your quality of

How Did Malcolm X Affect The Civil Right Movement
Malcolm X and the Black Panthers both the profoundly affected the goals of the civil right
movement. Malcolm X was born on May 19th, 1925 in Omaha Nebraska. Earl Little, (Malcolm s
father) was an outspoken Baptist minister and an avid supporter of the Black Nationalist leader
Marcus Garvey. Malcom graduated at the top of his class however when a teacher told him that
his dream of becoming a lawyer was no realistic goal for a nigger (Genius, 2016), these words
greatly impacted him and caused him to leave school. Malcom s journey that caused him to affect
the civil right movement were motivated by his unprivileged past, as he had been involved in
various crimes and directed by misleading guidance, none the less moulding him into an influential
figure. Similarly, in October 1966, in Oakland California, Huey Newton and Bobby Seale founded
the Black Panther Partyfor Self Defense. The Panthers practiced militant self defense of minority
communities against the U.S government, and fought to establish revolutionary socialism through
mass organizing and community based programs. The party was on the first organizations un U.S
history to militantly struggle for ethnic minority and work class emancipation. Both of Malcolm X
and the Black Panthers had goals to change the way African Americans were treated throughout
America.
Malcolm X was a black political speaker, activist and Muslim minister. He had a dark past, which

Kiki Scene Analysis
Kiki is an intimate look at a marginalized community, many of whom rely on the various
neighborhood clubs for support systems that don t exist anywhere else. The so called Kiki scene is
not just about the various competitive dance club contests. The scene provides a social structure, a
net, for kids who have nowhere else to go. The documentary has a high energy and full immersion
style that thrusts you into the lives of the various houses connected to the scene. These kids rely on
the the positive, non judgmental space and government funding. They have either left or ran away
from home due to the lack of support and understanding, they have fled toxic environments of the
daily harassment from familyand peers, and are left feeling vulnerable

Hannah Carpenter Advertising
Abby Hulsey Mrs. Dauphin Pre AP English 10 03 March 2017 Hannah Carpenter was a victim of
advertising. Resulting from the unrealistic beauty standards promoted by advertisements she saw
every day, she was never proud of her own body. And tragically, at only eighteen years of age, she
committed suicide. Sadly, Hannah was not alone in the pressures she felt about not being perfect
like the models she saw on television. In fact, teenagers and children nationwide are being
influenced by advertising in negative ways. Advertisements are promoting flawlessness in women
that does not exist, unhealthy eating habits, and the idea that happiness must be bought. Teenagers
feel self conscious about their bodies because of advertising. The average... Show more content on

In fact, a recent study on materialism said, children who watch a lot of commercials attach more
value to money and things, and, ...believe that happiness can be bought (Opree). Children are more
susceptible to being influenced by the advertisements they see. Therefore, advertisements aimed at
adolescents often feature expensive toys and brands that appeal to children and cause them to want
to purchase the items. The children also examine how delighted the people in the advertisements
look with the products, and that makes them believe that they must buy their happiness. Another
study shows that people will, ...establish buying habits they will carry into adulthood (Day, Nancy).
Basically, when children identify advertisements for popular items, they will begin to purchase the
items and become loyal to those brands. These could be expensive brands that will influence their
other purchases, making them think that if one item they purchase is expensive, then their other
purchases must be expensive as well. Wanting their lives to be on the level of the expensive brands
they own, consumers are becoming more and more materialistic. While there are some positive
things about advertising, the negatives are far more destructive. Due to advertising, girls and
women are being objectified, unhealthy eating habits are being promoted, and materialism

The Different Ways in Which Unsatisfactory Work and Behaviour by a Barrister and a Solicitor

If after having dealt with either a solicitor or a barrister you still felt dissatisfied with the way in
which your case has been handled, you can complain about the unsatisfactory work in a number of
ways, depending on the case and who you are unhappy with.
If you are, for example unsatisfied with the way in which a solicitor has handled your case then
you could complain about the services rendered to the Office for the Supervision of Solicitors
(OSS). The OSS has the power to award up to ВЈ5,000 compensation, reduce or abolish the

Now, as a result of the Access to Justice Act 1999 the Legal Services Ombudsman can order a
solicitor or the Law Society to pay compensation to the client, they can also be sued for negligence
as well as being suspended from practice or struck off by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.
Under the Access to Justice Act 1999 the Law Society now have greater powers to inspect
solicitors files and accounts if a claim is made against them.
Until recently, barristers could not be sued for negligent work in court as a result of the decision in
Rondel v Worsley (1969) but could be sued for work outside court: Saif Ali v Sydney Mitchell Co
(1978)
Barristers can now be sued for negligence since the decision of the House of Lords in Arthur Hall
Co v Simons (July 2000)
If after you have had dealings with a barrister and felt dissatisfied with their service you could
complain to the Complaints Commissioner, appointed in 1997, to replace internal investigations by
the Bar Council. A Complaints Commissioner can refer complaints to a Complaints Committee
who can then require barristers to reduce, refund or

The Book Thief
Plot Summary Introduction The Book Thief is a New York Times #1 Bestseller book written by
Markus Zusak. The book is opened by introducing Death as the narrator. Death starts describing
the three times he saw the book thief. Rising Action The rising action begins with Liesel and her
brother, Warner, on a train with their birth mother going to their foster parents, Hans and Rosa
Hubermann s house. Suddenly Warner dies on the train and is buried in a graveyard near a train
station. During the burial a gravedigger apprentice drops a book, The Gravedigger s Handbook,
and Liesel takes the book. Liesel arrives at the Hubermanns and settles in. On Adolf Hitler s
birthday, there is a book burning and Liesel steals a book, The Shoulder Shrug, and the... Show

It can be justified that because the narrator of the book is Death, the theme of death has
importance. In The Book Thief, death is shown in multiple ways such as, war, bombings, and
suicides. In Nazi Germany death was everywhere, there was a constant danger of dying. Death
causes a lot of problems for many characters and depending on the character and scenario, death
is reacted to differently. One problem death causes is that, it makes characters suffer, including
Death himself. Death says that he cannot bear to look at the leftovers ; leftovers are the people
who are left behind after a loved one has died. Suffering can also be seen when Liesel s brother,
Warner dies on the train. Warner s death causes Liesel to have nightmares nightly. Suffering was
also caused by the fear of death. When Hitler came to power and caused a war, he invited death
upon the habitants of Germany. The mayor of Molching, Heinz Hubermann said, [The people of
Molching should] prepare for harder times (261), as the Soviets and British joined forces to
battle Germany. Another example of the severe suffering caused by the fear of death can be
seen when Max goes to hide in the Hubermann s house, When a Jew shows up at your place of
residence in the early hours of the morning, in the very birthplace of Nazism, your likely to
experience extreme levels of discomfort. Anxiety, disbelief, paranoia (199). Death also had a
different reaction depending on the character or scenario. For example, Liesel reacts much
different when her loved ones die compared to when she faces death herself. When her loved ones
died, she wanted them back, but when she faces death she accepts it happily. The theme of death
ultimately has a message that, death is inevitable and when it comes your turn to die, accept it
because you are going to die (3), no matter

Analyse the Dramatic Uses of the Chorus in Greek Tragedy;...
The full influence of Greek tragedy upon our modern theatre is incomprehensible, with the
mainstays of theatrical convention largely demonstrating roots within Greek tragedy. The choric
function is just one of these conventions. This essay hopes to explore various uses of the Chorus
within Greek tragedies by Aeschylus and Sophocles, and then to analyse how traits of a Greek
Chorus, and the choric function can be found within 20th Century Theatre. The Chorus in Greek
tragedywas a large group (it is suggested between 12 and 30) of people who sang or chanted
songs and poems that helped set the scene of the play, bring the audience up to date with the events
preceding the play and inform the audience of any political or social consequences... Show more

They explain, В‘Fear s a good gateman to stand guard of the passions (page 100).
For Sophocles the Chorus has yet again a more reduced role, as more actors are introduced into his
plays. The focus yet again turns towards dialogue between characters, and away from interaction
purely between actor and Chorus. The Sophoclean Chorus is not emotionally separate from the
action, it is involved emotively with the story being portrayed, and can show sympathy (and in
contrast, hatred) towards the events on the stage. In Sophocles Oedipus the King the Chorus
function as witnesses to the downfall of Oedipus from proud monarch to blind, helpless man. The
Chorus first speech to Oedipus describes the plague that has infected the city. As Oedipus insists he
wants to find the murderer of Laius, the Chorus suggest that he ask Teiresias (page 194). The
Chorus here prompts the actor to step further towards his impending fate. The Chorus also prove to
be a calming influence, trying to mediate between Teiresias, Oedipus, Creon and Jocasta at various
points within the play. They also are still optimistic when the truth is nearly out, telling Oedipus to,
В‘hope, until you hear from the man who saw what happened (page 216). The Chorus within

Disease Surveillance And Investigation Efforts
There are eighty communicable diseases that are required to be reported to the Department of
Public Health as part of the disease surveillance and investigation efforts. Every state has a
website on what to report, to who and time frames which it should be done. ( Reportable Diseases
/Conditions in Florida, 2014). It is everyone s duty as a medical professional to follow these rules
to report to their health department due to the possible spread of diseases. Communicable diseases
can be prevented or lessened the side effects with vaccines and education.
One common disease is the chickenpox. It is caused by the Varicella zoster virus. ( History of
chicken pox, 2013). History shows that chickenpox may have been around since Babylonian
times. Anyone at any age can get this disease. Chickenpox is contagious from one to two days
before the rash appears until all blisters have formed scabs. It spreads from person to person by
direct contact or through the air from an infected person s coughing or sneezing. It can also be
transmitted from the fluid from the blisters they cause until they are scabbed. The virus has a ten
to twenty one days of an incubation period. Chickenpox is usually diagnosed by the appearance of
the rash the person has. The chickenpox disease can start without warning or with a fever and a
runny nose. Most common symptoms that people are aware of are the red spots that appear on the
upper trunk, neck, stomach, face and scalp that become itchy (CDC, 2016).

The Ultimate Test For Any Idea
EPR Paradox
The ultimate test for any idea, ranging from abstract philosophical concepts to objective
scientific theories, is the reality. What makes us to believe whether something is right or wrong
is how much that thing is compatible with reality. In physics, reality is the direct result of an
experiment; thus, we are forced to think about reality as observable reality . In fact, the
distinction between reality and observable reality is extremely important, since as a consequence
of this distinction, a logically correct theory may not necessary be correct while a logically non
satisfying theory may be completely correct (if it is also able to predict the result of a series of
experiments). Reality can encompasses any logical idea whether observable or unobservable, but
observable reality consist of only observable phenomena whether or not they seem logical. In the
case of Einstein s gedanken experiment concerning Quantum Mechanics known as EPR or EPR
Paradox we face the exact same difficulty; either taking EPR s word for believing in logically
desirable physical explanations, or just relying on experiments results and their consistency with
quantum mechanics which are far from being logically satisfying. In this paper, I shall tackle both
EPR gedanken experiment and the results of an experiment that contrasts EPR logical statements
in order to see if I can address the EPR paradox once for all. In Can Quantum Mechanical

The Discovery Of A Business Model Innovation
The disruptive business models are those that surprisingly manage top to make new markets and
disrupt the existing markets. To discover these innovations, it requires a level of innovativeness and
open mindedness that will enable one to create new influential innovations. The discovery of a
business model innovation usually starts with customer value propositions and customer segment.
The business model brings about logic and provides vital data that demonstrates how a company
can formulate itself and provide valuable input to customers. Furthermore, it facilitates the setup of
revenue allocation, the costs and the various profit margins that the business delivers (Colovic,
2012).Furthermore, these different issues are also interrelated and, therefore, offer a competitive
advantage besides bringing in huge profit margins. Business models also provide a business design
and outlay that defines how the particular company can convert the various payments received into
profits, and help the company to excel as an innovation and as a business model, as well as to
understand the different business design options according to the customer needs and the various
technological advances. To develop a successful business model, one has to ensure that the
competitive advantage of the company remains a permanent part of it and that this model is
difficult to duplicate and redo. The business model brings about the financial and organizational
architecture of the particular business. The

Subtlety and Psychology in The Screwtape Letters by C.S....
The book, The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, shows how Screwtape uses subtlety and
psychology when he is tempting human beings into sin. He plays with the patient s imagination,
emotions, will, and intellect. Also, he shows great shrewdness when encouraging sin that does not
appear to be sin. Screwtape shows effective psychologyin encouraging the patient to displace
intellect and will in prayer with imagination and emotion, and he shows subtlety in encouraging
gluttony of delicacy, pridein humility, and superiority in being part of an elite Christian social
circle. Screwtape uses psychology to manipulate the patient into replacing the intellect and will in

In addition, when the patient says, for example, All I want is a cup of tea... and the teeniest bit of
really crispy toast, the sin of greed is successfully and unnoticeably committed, because it is used to
obtain exactly what one wants. Also, the All I want way of acting can become a hassle to others as
it asks of them to go out of their way in order to make something perfect. Moreover, it could
jeopardize friendships because perfection can never be attained, and the dissatisfaction resulting
from this causes ill temper towards others. Furthermore, while gluttony of delicacy may avoid the
sin of gluttony of excess, it produces querulousness, impatience, uncharitableness, and self concern,
counteracting the attempt to avoid sin in the first place. Screwtape shows subtlety in encouraging
gluttony of delicacy. Smartly using the virtue of humility as a means of sin, Screwtape shows his
subtlety when explaining how easily humility can be turned into pride. Once the patient is sincerely
acting humble, one has to just enlighten him of his humility, and the prideful thought that he
actually was just being humble will spoil the grace filled moment. Also, another way to accomplish
twisting the virtue of humility into pride, is to make the patient forget the meaning of humility;
make him believe that humility means to think less of his talents and himself; this plants dishonesty
into his soul where otherwise virtue could have grown.

Qualities of Leadership Essay
The dictionary defines leadership as a critical management skill; it is the ability to motivate a
group of people toward a common goal. These qualities will help you develop your skills as a
leader. Leaders play a very huge role whether the task that they are taking on is big or small. The
leaders face special challenges as they try to communicate and interact with their followers and

Solar cells are categorized into three major generations , First generation solar cells are based on
silicon wafers and have an efficiency of 15 20%, The major advantage of first generation solar
cells is their stability ,However due to heavier production costs ,large amount of energy is
involved during their production that makes their large scale production uneconomic and
unaffordable . The second generation Solar cells are based on amorphous silicon,CIGS,CdTe
where typical performance is in the range of 10 15% efficiency,Second generation solar cells does
not use silicon wafer and have a lesser materials consumption which reduces its production costs.
The Production of second generation cells invloves vaccum and temperature processes hence it
decreases the efficiency and also it increases the production costs, most of the materials used in
second generation are scarce in nature hence their production costs are very high but less in

Introduction and motivational theories
It is said that there is no such thing as failure, instead we have results. This was the idea that
gave rise to the start of a company and later shooting of this video, in the outskirts of Addis
Ababa in Africa. The video is about a shoe company called oliberte, which prides itself as the first
company to be offered a fair trade certification. The founder, Mr. Tal Dehtiar has appreciated and
employed great motivation methods in the growth of his company in a challenging environment
(Oliberte, 2011). Motivation s purpose is to initiate, guide and maintain goal oriented behaviors on
the person that it is applied to. It can be driven by biological, social, emotional or cognitive forces.

The Hobbit And Divergent Comparison
Comparative Essay
Even though each book has a different story, they all have things in common. The structures of The
Hobbit By: J. R. R. Tolkien and Divergent By: Veronica Roth have similar themes, but differ in
narration and genre. This creates their different and unique styles and meanings.
The Hobbit is a saga with different stories within each chapter. It gives the sense of adventure and
fantasy that draws the reader in. There are dwarves, trolls, and hobbits that carries your mind off
to a land different from your own. Tolkien use the narrator as an omnipresent third party. Through
this we are able to see every action and have a better understanding of the plot. The Hobbit displays
that we should leave our comfort zone sometimes and discovery ourselves.
Divergent is a story about a dystopian Chicago entering into a rebellious society. This genre has
become a popular category for today s reader. Some even say that this story is basically the same
as other compositions that have appeared in recent years. We get to know the main character in a
personal way because she is the narrator. The character shows us her personality and awareness.

4th Amendment Research Paper
In 1791, a vital document for the United States of America was written. The Bill of Rights. James
Madison fulfilled the Anti Federalists wishes by adding a list of rights to the constitution in order
for the document to be ratified. The Bill of Rights addresses rights and freedoms which were
violated under British rule. Although all 10 amendments are important, I have analyzed each one
and ranked their importance. In 1791, some amendments would seem more important than others
due to the recent events from the Revolution. Each amendment is relevant in its own way but some
are exercised more than others by individuals in the United States. The first amendment of the Bill
of Rights is the most important amendment.

The Osi And Open Systems Interconnection
The OSI, Open Systems Interconnection, model was first introduced in 1984 and was design to
be a model and teaching tool to help better understand the rules of networking that systems must
undergo to communicate. The OSI model consist of seven hierarchical layers that defines the path
that data must travel. These layers are: Physical, Data Link, Network, Transport, Session,
Presentation, and Application. The first and lowest level of the model is the Physical layer. The
physical layer consists of the basic networking hardware transmission technologies of a network
(Osi model.com). Here you could find specifications for telecommunication like types of wired
cables such as; copper, optical, or coaxial. In this layer, you would configure... Show more content

The third layer of the OSI model is the network layer and is where the routers and layer 3
switches would be. This layer is responsible for controlling subnets and deciding which path the
data should take based on certain conditions. This layer is also responsible for IP (internet
protocol) addresses, this includes both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. Packets in this layer identify
where the traffic originated (source IP address) and where it is going (destination IP address)
(Gibson 166). In short, the OSI layer three network layer is responsible for connections, host
addressing, and message forwarding. Protocols that operate on this layer are IPsec and ICMP.
Layer four of the OSI model consist of the transport layer. In this layer, the protocols in this layer
provide a host to host communication servers for applications (osi model.com). Within the layer
four transport layer, we have TCP (transmission control protocol) and UDP (user datagram
protocol) protocols. TCP is a more reliable protocol in ways of guaranteeing the delivery of the IP
traffic. With TCP, you have a three way handshake in place, meaning that when you send a segment
you should receive an acknowledgement that the segment was received. If it was not received, then
you could resend. When using UDP, guarantee delivery of packets is not the main concern. The
main advantage of UDP is that

Essay about Health Care Reform in the United States
Health Care Reform
Health care has been an area of discussion for some time now. In the United States, the current
health care system is a private system that allows individuals to choose their own method of care.
Despite the freedom that comes with the independent nature of this type of health care system, the
true disposition creates more problems than it solves. The privacy of the health care institutions has
caused affordability and access to become serious issues with this system. Additionally, those with
lower socioeconomic status fall short of the ability to access the same pool of resources as
everyone else. Due to the issues with affordability, access, and the poor infrastructure of the health
care system, a universal health ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These facts point out that the system currently at play is rather ineffective and therefore ought to
be changed. Money plays a huge role in access, therefore it is a vital issue to discuss. Within the
current system, lack of money results in lack of health care, which leaves thousands of people
without any health care coverage. Between 2001 and 2005, the number of people paying for health
insurance increased 30%, however income only raised 3% (Health Care Problems). Adequate
income is a necessity and unfortunately that is not present. According to the National Conference
of State Legislatures, the average annual premium across the country is $16,000. Currently, the
average annual income in the United States is $51,107. Mint Money Management suggests that
about 4 6% of one s total income should be spent on insurance, including life, disability, and health
insurance. However, the averages in the United States show that the average person spends about
31% of their income on health insurance, which is not financially beneficial. When this rise in
health insurance is not parallel to the inflation of income, innocent people are left without a
method to achieve health care. There is a program for those who can t afford health insurance out
of pocket nor have access to it, and that is called Medicaid. Issues still exist with the program.
There is only so much funding, which leaves many still uninsured. Additionally, people with
Medicaid have difficulty

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Voltage-Source Inverter
Abstract The Z Source Inverter (ZSI) overcomes the disadvantages of the traditional Voltage Source
Inverter (VSI) and Current Source Inverter (CSI), it can buck and boost its output voltage by
utilizing the shoot through state which is forbidden in traditional VSI. Different PWM techniques
are available for the control of Z Source Inverters. In the traditional PWM technique equal shoot
through time interval is considered for the three phase legs. Hence, the realization of the shoot
through state is easy, but the main drawback of this modulation method is big inductor ripple and a
large inductor when the output frequency is low. In this paper, a novel Space Vector Pulse Width

According to equation (14), the eight switching vectors, output line to neutral voltage (phase
voltage), and output line to line voltages in terms of input DC voltage Vdc, are given in Table1
Space Vector PWM (SVPWM) refers to a special switching sequence of the upper three power
transistors of a three phase power inverter. It has been shown to generate less harmonic distortion
in the output voltages and or currents applied to the phases of an AC motor and to provide more
efficient use of supply voltage compared with sinusoidal modulation technique. The biggest
difference from other PWM methods is that the SVPWM uses a vector as a reference. This gives
the advantage of a better overview of the system.
Out of the 8 possible switching states, two are zero switching states and six are active switching
states. These are represented by active (V1 V6) and zero (V0) vectors. Six nonzero vectors (V1
V6) shape the axes of a hexagonal and feed electric power to the load. The angle between any
adjacent two non zero vectors is 60 degrees. Meanwhile, two zero vectors (V0 and V7) are placed
at the origin and apply zero voltage to the load. This is shown in Fig.

The organization needs to have open communication at all times so the employees feel comfortable
in voicing opinions and complaints. Management must always be motivating the team because of
the highly stressful environment. Motivation comes in the form of verbal praise to monetary
incentives at the end of every month. This is a gear that must be in constant motion to make the
employees happy and efficient.
The final principle is controlling. This is the management function of monitoring performance and
making the necessary changes (Bateman, 2007). Keeping an eye on things is the way to be
absolutely certain that everything is going according to plan. Problems will arise but this is why
the plan executed in the beginning will help to create solutions.
Bank of America, being so large, is monitored all the time. We must adhere to state and federal laws
and regulations. Meetings are done frequently to address issues that are happening around the
United States which may directly or indirectly affect performance. The manager of each team
monitors the individuals with all the high tech screens on their computers. Controlling what can be
controlled and having a contingency plan for when problems occur keep the bank at its high peak
in the financial realm.
The four management principles are applied to all great companies. Planning helps set the stage for
the organizing the team to its appropriate places. Leading generates loyalty, and

This dynasty was known as the bronze age because bronze was so important to them (Chun). The
Shang used shells for money. The inventions of the chariots and wheeled carts increased wealth

How Does Elie Wiesel Use Symbols In Night
Never shall i forget those moments which murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams
to dust. Never shall i forget these things, even if i am condemned to live as long as God himself.
(Wiesel ix). This quote comes from the memoir Night by Elie Wiesel. This quote contains one of
the most obvious used symbols from the book. The memoir Night is about the author Elie Wiesel
struggling to survive during the bad days and nights in the concentration camps. The author tells us
about his struggles using symbolism. The author uses symbolism to give a visual so that you can

One of the most apparent symbols in the memoir Night is fire, which symbolized death. This
representation of death is apparent when Mme. Schachter noticed the smoke from the crematory

The Conflict in Darfur and United States Involvement
The conflict in Darfur refers to the fighting that is happening in the western region of Sudan
known as Darfur. These fights have been taking place since 2003 and have continued to today.
Similarities can be made to the Rwandan Genocide; there is a government funded and armed
militia that is not officially supported by the government that is killing a local population. The
citizens of the region of Darfur that are being killed are not Arabic, like the majority of the rest of
Sudan is, however, they are more similar in culture and other aspects to the citizens of South
Sudan, Sudan s neighboring country to the south with which Sudan has had multiple wars with.
Despite the fact that there is a militia that is killing citizens, there are also other militias that are
fighting for the Darfuri people. These two sides have been fighting each other for close to ten
years. Even though citizens of a certain group are being targeted by a militia, the conflict in Darfur
is not a genocide. The United States should not get involved militarily in this conflict because it is
only a conflict and not a genocide. It is a war between two groups over disputes between these
groups. Instead, the United States should use diplomacy to help end the conflict happening in
Darfur.
A genocide is the systematic attempt to eliminate a group of people based on race, religion,

The Battle of Bunker Hill No one likes being told what to do. In a way the Battle of Bunker Hill
started the same way as an argument would between a parent and a teenager. This is one of the
many things that have caused problems between other countries, they give people more freedom
and eventually they want more independence. Somethings said and done also can t be undone or
said, no one can go back. The Battle of Bunker Hill is one of the battles that occurred because of
this. The Battle of Bunker Hill occurred on June 17, 1775. It mostly took place on Breed s Hill in

Main Roles Of Housekeeping
THE ROLE THAT HOUSEKEEPING PLAYS IN THE OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT OF
HOTELS.
If we need to review the role that housekeeping plays in the operations and management of hotel.
Firstly we have to define what is it Housekeeping in general. House Keeping is a heart of the hotel
management industry. Hotels, motels, and inns around the world can succeed without ballrooms,
meeting rooms, swimming pools, or even restaurants. But the one thing every successful lodging
establishment must have, regardless of it s size, location, or industry segment, is clean rooms.
Room sales generally drive 70 percent or more of the revenues generated by lodging establishments.
Without a well managed housekeeping department, there would be no rooms to sell (Martin R.

Why NYU Thesis Statement
Why NYU? Two summers ago, I designed and executed my own experiments focused on cell
adhesion and its implications in the metastasis of cancer. When I fixed my cells for the first time
in the Dictyostelium Discoideum lab, I was scared. I was even more scared when I told my
mentor I bleached my cells with the spinning disk confocal microscope. However, it was through
the endless trials and errors that I discovered a love for biology and seeking answers to the
unknown. Through the College of Arts and Science at NYU, I hope to pursue a Global Public
Health/Science major concentrated in Genetics and Genomics. This past summer, I participated in
the Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science Program (MITES) at MIT, and I had the...

experience, prompting personal and intellectual growth as I delve into the realm of STEM and

community that sees my gender as a form of empowerment rather than a hindrance to my goals. I

Essay On Natural Immunity Against Malaria
Natural Immunity against malaria:
Natural immunity against asexual stage parasites develops with repetitive exposure to malaria
parasites and thus forms the basis of clinical immunity against malaria (Baird, Jones et al. 1991,
Day and Marsh 1991, Trape, Rogier et al. 1994, Baird 1995, Baird 1998, Hviid 2005). Though
clinical immunity to malaria has been shown to develop in individuals, it does not prevent
reinfection due to several factors including the complex life cycle of the parasite and insufficiency
of the magnitude of effective antibodies. Susceptibility to P. falciparum was shown to be
independent of the number of years of exposure to the parasite, and age dependent protective
immunity developed over a two year period of repeated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2012, Aguilar, Magallon Tejada et al. 2014, Joice, Nilsson et al. 2014)while the mature stage V
gametocytes are observed in the blood. These newly formed gametocytes developing as
intraerythrocytic stages present several new antigens to the human immune system during each
infection cycle. These immunologically identifiable forms are clear targets for the host immune
system and both innate and adaptive immune responses are expected to become active against
them. Naturally acquired antibodies against gametocytes exist (Graves, Carter et al. 1988, Paul,
Vengesai et al. 2016, Bansal, Vengesai et al. 2017, Gebru, Ajua et al. 2017) and may play a role in
controlling transmission by limiting the gametocyte development in the circulation or by
interrupting gamete development and fertilization in the mosquito following ingestion. In particular
antibodies against Pfs48/45 and Pfs230 gametocyte proteins effectively target male and female
gamete surface and block mosquito stage development of the malaria parasites.
Analysis of investigations carried out in areas of different malaria endemicity have shown wide
variation in the frequency and prevalence of these antibodies (Bousema and Drakeley 2011).
Studies have demonstrated that while natural immunity does develop against sexual stages, little is
known about age dependent pattern of the antibodies. Age dependency of the humoral response can
be associated with repetitive exposure to the parasite (Graves, Wirtz et al. 1988,

Chronological Accuracy Of The Return Of Martin Guerre
The chronological accuracy that The Return of Martin Guerre film portrays can throw the viewer
off at first. The film begins with the marriage of a young couple who are both around the age of

Dostoevsky as Performer Essay
Dostoevsky as Performer
Storytelling and reading aloud played a valuable part in young Fyodor s life, influencing his own
later successful writing endeavors as well as his performance of literature. His nanny and wet
nurse introduced the Dostoevsky children to folklore and lives of the saints through the stories
they told. Nanny Alyona Frolovna told the children stories of ancient Russia, of Saint Sergey of
Moscow subduing a bear by the power of his holiness, of heroes and legends and folk tales,
Christianity and Russian myth intertwined ; the stories were so vivid and frightening that the
children had trouble sleeping (Gunn 10). During the winter their former wet nurses would make a

The Gothic novels of Ann Radcliffe were favorites of the Dostoevskys. Frank contends that
Dostoevsky, influenced by Radcliffe, would later incorporate Gothic techniques of plot, character,
and atmosphere and carry them to a peak of perfection that has never been surpassed (1976, 55).
Among the literature read and discussed by the Dostoevsky fireside were the Bible, writings of
Nikolai Karamzin, including History of the Russian State, Letters of a Russian Traveller, and Poor
Liza; the poets Vasily Zhukovsky, Mikhail Y. Lermontov, Gavriil R. Derzhavin, and, of course,
Alexander Pushkin; and the novelist Sir Walter Scott. Frank believes that the readings in the family
circle were designed to stimulate and benefit the children and to turn them into Godfearing and
loyal citizens of the Tsar (1976, 5960). Geir Kjetsaa reports that the Dostoevsky parents were fine
readers and the two oldest boys [Mikhail and Fyodor] did not lag far behind them and is convinced
that for Fyodor these reading sessions served as a literary foundation for his entire life (10).
The influence of Fyodor s mother, his first teacher, was no doubt strong as she conveyed her love
of poetry and novels as well as music. Fyodor began to read for himself at the age of four from an
antique volume containing a hundred and four Bible tales and conceived a passion for the book of

Problem Solving Skills On A Business Situation
(iii) Learning Outcomes
8. Problem solving skills in a business situation The lack of responses from proposals I sent to
universities for advertising was initially disconcerting. Clients informed me that July/August is
our main vacation period, and most people will not be available (Roth 2015, np). The response I
have received from other university personnel can be categorized into one of three categories: 1.
They did not wish to advertise, 2. Process were too high and/ or out of their budget, 3. And some
inquired about when the deadline was for which they cab respond to. In the instances where
university personnel were interested in advertising placement, I promptly returned correspondence

representation meetings for Times of India I recorded the minutes of meetings while also taking
mental notes on delivery, subject matter, physical gestures, listening behavior, timing, and setting.
The manner in which my manager presented the Times of India to potential investors, advertisers,
and relevant personnel is a skill that must be honed through a combination of public speaking,
emotional awareness, and the development of managerial behaviors that are effective in the
corporate environment. For he delivery of courier times and parcels I wanted to maximize my
efficiency and minimize my time away from the office. By reducing the amount of time that a
package was in transit, I could enhance communication with clients and ensure any items my
manager was expecting were available at the earliest convenience. When sending reminders to
clients for invoice payments, proposals and other emails, I was conscious of correct terminology
and tone of voice. I studied previous emails sent by my superior as well using online journals to
ensure I was complying with industry standards for appropriate business tone. I have attached the

My Writing Techniques
During this semester in Writing Workshop, I learned many writing techniques that helped
improve my writing. I learned how to research topics effectively and use scholarly sources
instead of popular sources. I learned how to conduct an interview and developed problem solving
skills. All of these techniques helped me develop my final solution to the issue I chose to research.
In high school, when my teacher told me to research a topic and write an essayon it, I would go to
Google and type in the topic. Once Google provided me with millions of hits, I usually chose the
first one and used it. Also, I would use Wikipedia. Wikipedia contains information about topics,
but people can edit those pages and put false information. At the beginning of my second
semester, I started to learn about scholarly sources. Scholarly sources usually come from an
expert or doctor. These experts and doctors take the time to research the topic and provide it to the
public. Using scholarly sources helps improve your argument or viewpoint. Sources such as CNN,
CBS, and NBC are popular sources and do not... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We assume stuff every day. When we assume things, we usually do not realize that we just
assumed something. For example, every morning when somebody gets up and go outside to start
their car, they assume it will start. I do it every morning. I do not walk outside and expect it not to
start. When solving a problem we assume things and to make our solution strong we need to get rid
of those assumptions. During this second semester, I learned about many techniques that enhanced
my writing. I cannot believe that my first year of college is over because it seems like yesterday I
attended my first class. I will use this techniques throughout the rest of my life to make my paper
stronger and more professional. As I continue to learn I will add techniques I learn in the future to
make my writing even stronger. I believe my writing is strong, but can

  • 2. Rhetorical Analysis Of JFK Adgural Address JFK Rhetorical Analysis On January 20th, 1961, John F. Kennedy successfully read his inaugural address to a large crowd of Americans as he took the oath of office and became the 35th president of the United States. Thousands of people were standing outside listening to JFK speak, as he explained that this new beginning would be considered a great change within the country. Kennedy did not win the presidential election by a large popular vote, but after his use of words and rhetorical devices in his speech, he helped create the perfect stage for a clear and compelling structure that led many people to approve of him and trust the changes he wanted to make for the country. Kennedy used anaphora as a way to emphasize his point to the audience. JFK repeatedly explained to the crowd of people listening that he did not want the country to be split into different groups, but he wanted peace and harmony among all Americans. He continuously begins his sentences with Let both sides... By creating a sense of unity throughout the different groups of people, JFK tried to convince the audience that a major change was needed for the United States. By repeating the words Let both sides, JFK allows the audience to believe that war is avoidable for the country. JFK uses repetition when he says, For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. By saying this, Kennedy shows Americans that the world is different now, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Discourse on Method Essay example Discourse on Method Heuresis (or invention) comprises, as Richard Lanham notes, the first of the five traditional parts of rhetorical theory, concerned with the finding and elaboration of arguments (1991: 91). In Aristotle s Rhetoric the category of heuresis included the kinds of proof available to the rhetorician, lists of valid and invalid topoi, as well as the various commonplaces the rhetorician might touch upon loci or stereotypical themes and observations ( time flies ) appropriate to a given occasion (Lanham 1991: 166 170). In a more contemporary sense heuretic is defined by the OED as the branch of logic which treats of the art of discovery or invention. Both senses of this word, along with its more familiar cognate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ulmer s book presents itself, in part, as a heuristic device for enabling such new forms of research and text production from the inventio provided by Jacques Derrida. In The Other Heading, reflecting on contemporary Europe, Derrida repeats a fundamental question posed by Paul Valery in 1939 in the wake of fascism: What are you going to do? What are you going to do today? (1992: 18, cited in Ulmer 84). Ulmer sees his work as a response, in 1992, to this call for invention. Ulmer s text also presents itself as providing a method for the contemporary paradigm (12) of poststructuralism comparable to the method Descartes provided for an emergent scientific rationalism. He is quick, however, to qualify this project for any attempt at a postmodernist method is contradictory (an impossible possibility) (25). In one of the most suggestive sections of work, the initial chapter contends that all of the manifestos of the avant garde, belong to the tradition of the discourse on method (8), and provides an analysis of the common elements comprising such discourses. They are representable for mnemonic reference by the acronym CATTt (8). C = Contrast (opposition, inversion, differentiation) A = Analogy (figuration, displacement) T = Theory (repetition, literalization) T = Target (application, purpose) t = Tale (secondary elaboration, representability) (8) Thus Descartes discourse on method ... • 4. Summary Of The Sandwich Generation David Kopec Application Activities #1, Sandwich Generation, G. 9/22/17 The Sandwich Generation After reading the article The Sandwich Generation: Who is Caring for you? by Ruth Tarantine I have learned what the Sandwich Generation is and how to assist individuals in this generation. The Sandwich Generation was originally used to describe baby boomers that were women in their 30s and 40s who cared for their parents and their own children. This term was coined by Dorothy Miller. As time passed, the term changed to include both male and females and the age range is now 40 to 65 years old. Almost 50% of adults 40 50 years old care for a parent and child. Caring for a parent and child can stress a caregiver. Adding a chronic disease to either parent or child can put additional stress on the caregiver. To help relieve some of this stress a caregiver will seek outside help, such as hospitalization, which in reality can do more harm than good for the caregiver. The caregiver will think that having their parent hospitalized will relieve this stress, but instead this will cause them to feel guilty. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There were plenty of options provided in the article but I decided to cover the ones I believed would be most helpful to anyone. The first step you can take is to take care of yourself. Many times when helping others we forget about ourselves. We put things off to the side or don t pay attention to our own needs. We can forget to eat right, sleep, get regular checkups, or even take a break. When you are constantly taking care of someone you may go to a local fast food place because you don t have time to cook a healthy meal. Some caregivers will turn to drugs or alcohol to relieve stress. This can complicate their lives even more and make them more irritable. All of these factors can add up and decrease your quality of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. How Did Malcolm X Affect The Civil Right Movement Malcolm X and the Black Panthers both the profoundly affected the goals of the civil right movement. Malcolm X was born on May 19th, 1925 in Omaha Nebraska. Earl Little, (Malcolm s father) was an outspoken Baptist minister and an avid supporter of the Black Nationalist leader Marcus Garvey. Malcom graduated at the top of his class however when a teacher told him that his dream of becoming a lawyer was no realistic goal for a nigger (Genius, 2016), these words greatly impacted him and caused him to leave school. Malcom s journey that caused him to affect the civil right movement were motivated by his unprivileged past, as he had been involved in various crimes and directed by misleading guidance, none the less moulding him into an influential figure. Similarly, in October 1966, in Oakland California, Huey Newton and Bobby Seale founded the Black Panther Partyfor Self Defense. The Panthers practiced militant self defense of minority communities against the U.S government, and fought to establish revolutionary socialism through mass organizing and community based programs. The party was on the first organizations un U.S history to militantly struggle for ethnic minority and work class emancipation. Both of Malcolm X and the Black Panthers had goals to change the way African Americans were treated throughout America. Malcolm X was a black political speaker, activist and Muslim minister. Resulting from the unrealistic beauty standards promoted by advertisements she saw every day, she was never proud of her own body. And tragically, at only eighteen years of age, she committed suicide. Sadly, Hannah was not alone in the pressures she felt about not being perfect like the models she saw on television. In fact, teenagers and children nationwide are being influenced by advertising in negative ways. Advertisements are promoting flawlessness in women that does not exist, unhealthy eating habits, and the idea that happiness must be bought. In fact, a recent study on materialism said, children who watch a lot of commercials attach more value to money and things, and, ...believe that happiness can be bought (Opree). Children are more susceptible to being influenced by the advertisements they see. Therefore, advertisements aimed at adolescents often feature expensive toys and brands that appeal to children and cause them to want to purchase the items. The children also examine how delighted the people in the advertisements look with the products, and that makes them believe that they must buy their happiness. Another study shows that people will, ...establish buying habits they will carry into adulthood (Day, Nancy). Basically, when children identify advertisements for popular items, they will begin to purchase the items and become loyal to those brands. These could be expensive brands that will influence their other purchases, making them think that if one item they purchase is expensive, then their other purchases must be expensive as well. Wanting their lives to be on the level of the expensive brands they own, consumers are becoming more and more materialistic. While there are some positive things about advertising, the negatives are far more destructive. Due to advertising, girls and women are being objectified, unhealthy eating habits are being promoted, and materialism ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Death starts describing the three times he saw the book thief. Rising Action The rising action begins with Liesel and her brother, Warner, on a train with their birth mother going to their foster parents, Hans and Rosa Hubermann s house. Suddenly Warner dies on the train and is buried in a graveyard near a train station. During the burial a gravedigger apprentice drops a book, The Gravedigger s Handbook, and Liesel takes the book. It can be justified that because the narrator of the book is Death, the theme of death has importance. In The Book Thief, death is shown in multiple ways such as, war, bombings, and suicides. In Nazi Germany death was everywhere, there was a constant danger of dying. Death causes a lot of problems for many characters and depending on the character and scenario, death is reacted to differently. One problem death causes is that, it makes characters suffer, including Death himself. Death says that he cannot bear to look at the leftovers ; leftovers are the people who are left behind after a loved one has died. Suffering can also be seen when Liesel s brother, Warner dies on the train. Warner s death causes Liesel to have nightmares nightly. Suffering was also caused by the fear of death. When Hitler came to power and caused a war, he invited death upon the habitants of Germany. The mayor of Molching, Heinz Hubermann said, [The people of Molching should] prepare for harder times (261), as the Soviets and British joined forces to battle Germany. Another example of the severe suffering caused by the fear of death can be seen when Max goes to hide in the Hubermann s house, When a Jew shows up at your place of residence in the early hours of the morning, in the very birthplace of Nazism, your likely to experience extreme levels of discomfort. Anxiety, disbelief, paranoia (199). Death also had a different reaction depending on the character or scenario. For example, Liesel reacts much different when her loved ones die compared to when she faces death herself. When her loved ones died, she wanted them back, but when she faces death she accepts it happily. The theme of death ultimately has a message that, death is inevitable and when it comes your turn to die, accept it because you are going to die (3), no matter ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Analyse the Dramatic Uses of the Chorus in Greek Tragedy;... The full influence of Greek tragedy upon our modern theatre is incomprehensible, with the mainstays of theatrical convention largely demonstrating roots within Greek tragedy. The choric function is just one of these conventions. This essay hopes to explore various uses of the Chorus within Greek tragedies by Aeschylus and Sophocles, and then to analyse how traits of a Greek Chorus, and the choric function can be found within 20th Century Theatre. The Chorus in Greek tragedywas a large group (it is suggested between 12 and 30) of people who sang or chanted songs and poems that helped set the scene of the play, bring the audience up to date with the events preceding the play and inform the audience of any political or social consequences... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They explain, В‘Fear s a good gateman to stand guard of the passions (page 100). For Sophocles the Chorus has yet again a more reduced role, as more actors are introduced into his plays. The focus yet again turns towards dialogue between characters, and away from interaction purely between actor and Chorus. The Sophoclean Chorus is not emotionally separate from the action, it is involved emotively with the story being portrayed, and can show sympathy (and in contrast, hatred) towards the events on the stage. In Sophocles Oedipus the King the Chorus function as witnesses to the downfall of Oedipus from proud monarch to blind, helpless man. The Chorus first speech to Oedipus describes the plague that has infected the city. As Oedipus insists he wants to find the murderer of Laius, the Chorus suggest that he ask Teiresias (page 194). The Chorus here prompts the actor to step further towards his impending fate. The Chorus also prove to be a calming influence, trying to mediate between Teiresias, Oedipus, Creon and Jocasta at various points within the play. They also are still optimistic when the truth is nearly out, telling Oedipus to, В‘hope, until you hear from the man who saw what happened (page 216). The Chorus within ... • 14. The Ultimate Test For Any Idea EPR Paradox The ultimate test for any idea, ranging from abstract philosophical concepts to objective scientific theories, is the reality. What makes us to believe whether something is right or wrong is how much that thing is compatible with reality. In physics, reality is the direct result of an experiment; thus, we are forced to think about reality as observable reality . In fact, the distinction between reality and observable reality is extremely important, since as a consequence of this distinction, a logically correct theory may not necessary be correct while a logically non satisfying theory may be completely correct (if it is also able to predict the result of a series of experiments). Reality can encompasses any logical idea whether observable or unobservable, but observable reality consist of only observable phenomena whether or not they seem logical. In the case of Einstein s gedanken experiment concerning Quantum Mechanics known as EPR or EPR Paradox we face the exact same difficulty; either taking EPR s word for believing in logically desirable physical explanations, or just relying on experiments results and their consistency with quantum mechanics which are far from being logically satisfying. In this paper, I shall tackle both EPR gedanken experiment and the results of an experiment that contrasts EPR logical statements in order to see if I can address the EPR paradox once for all. Also, he shows great shrewdness when encouraging sin that does not appear to be sin. Screwtape shows effective psychologyin encouraging the patient to displace intellect and will in prayer with imagination and emotion, and he shows subtlety in encouraging gluttony of delicacy, pridein humility, and superiority in being part of an elite Christian social circle. Also, the All I want way of acting can become a hassle to others as it asks of them to go out of their way in order to make something perfect. Moreover, it could jeopardize friendships because perfection can never be attained, and the dissatisfaction resulting from this causes ill temper towards others. Furthermore, while gluttony of delicacy may avoid the sin of gluttony of excess, it produces querulousness, impatience, uncharitableness, and self concern, counteracting the attempt to avoid sin in the first place. Screwtape shows subtlety in encouraging gluttony of delicacy. Smartly using the virtue of humility as a means of sin, Screwtape shows his subtlety when explaining how easily humility can be turned into pride. Once the patient is sincerely acting humble, one has to just enlighten him of his humility, and the prideful thought that he actually was just being humble will spoil the grace filled moment. Also, another way to accomplish twisting the virtue of humility into pride, is to make the patient forget the meaning of humility; make him believe that humility means to think less of his talents and himself; this plants dishonesty into his soul where otherwise virtue could have grown. ... This is the management function of monitoring performance and making the necessary changes (Bateman, 2007). These fights have been taking place since 2003 and have continued to today. Similarities can be made to the Rwandan Genocide; there is a government funded and armed militia that is not officially supported by the government that is killing a local population. The citizens of the region of Darfur that are being killed are not Arabic, like the majority of the rest of Sudan is, however, they are more similar in culture and other aspects to the citizens of South Sudan, Sudan s neighboring country to the south with which Sudan has had multiple wars with. Despite the fact that there is a militia that is killing citizens, there are also other militias that are fighting for the Darfuri people. These two sides have been fighting each other for close to ten years. Even though citizens of a certain group are being targeted by a militia, the conflict in Darfur is not a genocide. The United States should not get involved militarily in this conflict because it is only a conflict and not a genocide. It is a war between two groups over disputes between these groups. Instead, the United States should use diplomacy to help end the conflict happening in Darfur. These newly formed gametocytes developing as intraerythrocytic stages present several new antigens to the human immune system during each infection cycle. These immunologically identifiable forms are clear targets for the host immune system and both innate and adaptive immune responses are expected to become active against them. Naturally acquired antibodies against gametocytes exist (Graves, Carter et al. 1988, Paul, Vengesai et al. 2016, Bansal, Vengesai et al. 2017, Gebru, Ajua et al. 2017) and may play a role in controlling transmission by limiting the gametocyte development in the circulation or by interrupting gamete development and fertilization in the mosquito following ingestion. In particular antibodies against Pfs48/45 and Pfs230 gametocyte proteins effectively target male and female gamete surface and block mosquito stage development of the malaria parasites. Analysis of investigations carried out in areas of different malaria endemicity have shown wide variation in the frequency and prevalence of these antibodies (Bousema and Drakeley 2011).
