2. America Has Too Much Gun Control Essay
When a person hears the word gun, he or she usually associates the purposes and uses of a gun
with crime related issues and plots of terrorism because of modern culture. They are used for that
purpose by some people, but those people do not represent all aspects of the relationship of
firearms to society. In the United States, many laws have been passed in order to regulate the use of
guns by certain individuals, along with the establishment of associations that specialize in the usage
and handling of firearms. With the regulation of firearms passed by the government, guns has
become an integral part of modern society, attributing atrocities such as homicide with them, but
also providing a portable means of protection. The addition... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Under the United States Constitution, Article V, Amendment II, all people have the right to
bear arms, allowing them to own a gun and use it, but the government believes some types of
guns, such as automatic rifles, should not be accessible to people, violating the Constitution (
Gun Control ). On February 28, 1994, the Brady Bill was passed by congress to add more
conditions on firearms by establishing a five day waiting period to people purchasing a handgun
in order to give enough time for a licensed dealer to conduct a background check on the customer
(Agresti). Not only do customers have to wait additional days in order to receive their handguns
for protection, but they are evaluated by a stranger to see if they are competent enough to do as
much as even own a gun. Associations such as the National Rifle Association (NRA) have been
established in order to comply with government concerns of firearms by creating licenses for
gun owners and teaching proper use of firearms. As of March 17, 2010, the National Rifle
Association of America, Institute for Legal Action has released news that House Bill 453
(HB453) and House Bill 542 (HB542) were released and have added the possibility of allowing
the storage of firearms in specialized car compartments and increasing voting registration for
people with hunting licenses or permits in order to promote pro gun usage in society respectively.

3. Objective Racism
Objective Racism:
An essay on how segregation affected the USA, and its lingering effect on the nation
The United States of America is one of the best countries in the world. The country considers its
start as a nation to be 1776, and since then, America has stood for freedom all around the world. The
USA has had military supremacy for years; considered one of the only superpowers in the world
currently. Most importantly, however, is that it is a melting pot of different ethnic groups and
cultures. Sadly, most places in America do not contain this important standard of no prejudice. After
the Plessy v. Ferguson case, subtle racism became more abundant throughout the south, and
although the government resolved main problem in the 60 s, racism still abides on both ends today.
In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued the emancipation proclamation. This act freed
thousands of slaves, and enacted the abolition of slavery after the north won the Civil War. In turn,
legislation passed many amendments prohibiting any discrimination of blacks. In 1883, the
Supreme Court ruled against this amendment, they ruled that, The 14th Amendment did not give
Congress authority to prevent discrimination by private individuals. So when the states got the
power to decide, most states decided to pass laws known as Jim Crow laws. These laws segregated
blacks and whites in almost all ways of life, from schools to railroad carts. In 1892, Homer Plessy, a
mixed man, sat in a white

4. The Horrifying Steps Of The Final Solution
The Horrifying Steps of the Final Solution Beginning in the year 1933, life became difficult for all
non Aryans living in Europe. That was the year Adolf Hitler became the chancellor of Germany.
His anti Semitic principles served as the basis of the Nazi party and its supporters. Although their
ideas were opposed by many, the Nazis managed to carry out The Final Solution with the goal of
ridding Europe of Jews, gypsies, Soviets, and homosexuals. One prominent figure was Heinrich
Himmler who constructed the Final Solution : a written document that stated the steps needed to be
taken in order to establish a pure Aryan race. This solution consisted of isolating Jews in ghettos,
sending non Aryans to concentration and extermination camps, and forcing them to undergo
starvation, thirst, shootings, and extended suffering. The various steps within this document each
served a different purpose and implemented a new kind of suffering upon the prisoners. New
family roles were established and new outlooks on life and religion were brought about due to the
scares they experienced. The Holocausttransformed the lives of many through the daily hardships in
its ghettos, concentration and extermination camps, and demolished post war Europe.
The first place the Jews were sent, as stated by the Nazi s Final Solution , were the ghettos.
Ghettos during the Holocaust were located in small German cities. Jews were isolated from the
rest of society as they spent endless days

In this negotiation, I played the role of the buyer of the car, Mazda MX В– 6 from Francesco, who
played the role of the seller. The task involved negotiating for the right price for the used car.
When I was planning for the negotiation the most important criteria was that the car must certainly
have all those specifications which the 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport was offering. That is, an air
conditioning, AM/FM stereo, 6 cylinder engine and the mileage should be the same or more than
the Jeep. Also, I had firmly decided to buy the Mazda under all circumstances and not go in for the
jeep, as it would certainly turn out to be a better proposition than the jeep. Moreover, I had

it does matter as to who puts the first offer because the first offer has a direct impact on your
opponent. If your first offer is extremely inflated, the other person thinks on the higher side and
may close the deal at a higher price than what he had thought of initially. However, if your offer

lifelong brain concern. Because of this, some state legislators have attempted to persuade a
change in youth football. In another Associated Press video (2010), in New York, some council
members are challenging the notion that there should be a doctor present at all youth football
games. This would be to ensure, if a hard hit occurs during the game, that the athlete will be
assessed by a board certified doctor. This could be a great resource to lessening the frequency of
repeated concussions, but it would be quite costly. Doctors are not cheap, and considering
football games can last for upwards of 3 hours, the issue of how much it would be to pay the
doctor to be there comes into play. Some city council members were also suggesting that doctors

10. Spread Of Christianity Research Paper
THE SPREAD OF CHRISTIANITY DURING THE TIME OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE.
Introduction
Speaking about Christians and not discussing the doctrines of Christianity becomes an obscure
task. The reason for this obscurity is that without Christianity to support them, Christians would not
even exist. The very term, Christian, comes from the religion of Christianity and means Christ like.
For those wondering how far back the existence of Christians can be dated, it is worth noting here
that there are mentions of Christians in the New Testament Acts 11:26. While originally, the term
Christian was used only to describe the followers of Christianity; these days, anything simply
associated with Christianity is called as Christian a Christian restaurant, a Christian ... Show more

In fact, it did just the opposite, strengthening Christianity in the second and third centuries by
forcing it to become more organized. Fear of persecution meant that only the most committed
individuals would choose to follow the outlawed faith. Crucial to this change was the emerging role
of the bishops, who began to assume more control over church communities. The Christian church
was creating a new structure in which the clergy (the church leaders) had distinct functions separate
from the laity (the regular church members). Christianity grew quickly in the first century, took root
in the second, and by the third had spread widely. Why was Christianity able to attract so many
followers?
First, the Christian message had much to offer the Roman world. The Roman state based religion
was impersonal and existed for the good of Rome. Christianity was personal and offered salvation
and eternal life to individuals. Christianity gave meaning and purpose to life. Second, Christianity
seemed familiar. It was viewed by some as similar to other religions, offering immortality as the
result of the sacrificial death of a

Wal Mart Stores, Inc. is the largest corporation in the world that specializes in selling goods at
the lowest possible price. Having low prices attracts more customers and results in an increase in
total profits even though, the markup per product is at bare minimum (Press 2004). Walmart s
products include food, beverages, home products, personal care products, toys, clothing,

products makes it one of most useful retail company for an everyday consumer. This and the
willingness to expand and innovate is probably why Walmart is so successful today. In 1962,
Sam Walton founded Walmart in Rogers, Arkansas on the principle of keeping the customer
happy by providing them with the lowest priced goods on the market (Press 2004). He really
wanted to make the lives of his customers better by selling them cheap goods so people can have

I. Cliffhanger: a cliffhanger in literature is a device, borrowed from early serialized film, in which
a writer ends a chapter on a note of suspense, encouraging the reader to continue on to the next
chapter. What is the cliffhanger at the end of Chapter Thirty One?
In the novel Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creechthe author ends Chapter Thirty One with a
cliffhanger. The protagonist, Sal calls her friend and tells her Phoebe, we ve got to find her. and
Phoebe replies That s what I ve been telling you. (pg. 132). This is a cliffhanger because the
author stops the chapter in the middle of the conversation without the reader finding out what Sal
and Phoebe are going to do to find Phoebe s mother. II. Refrain: How does the refrain change as
Sal and her grandparents get to the Badlands? What do you predict will happen?

the mood of the story. This refrain: the sound of the wind was hurry, hurry, hurry, and at night,
even the silent darkness whispered rush, rush, rush appears for the first time on page four. She
repeatedly comes back to the sound of the wind telling her to hurry and rush throughout her
journey. The author uses this refrain to set an ominous tone as well as to create a sense of urgency.

colonizer use violence to deal with them, they learn how to defend themselves by using violence
too. At the individual level, violence is a cleansing force. It rids the colonized of their inferiority

21. Follow Driving Rules
Driving a car is a huge responsibility. The driver has to learn to adjust to certain scenarios. Such
as when they are speeding they need to slow down and follow the speed limit. Always follow the
rules that are given, so nothing bad happens. This quite similar to dating. Because if the rules are
not followed it could cause some serious consequences. For my future children I plan to give
them rules to keep them safe and responsible when dating. The first rule that I will have for my
kids is nobody will be allowed in a bedroom with the door close, for a variety of reasons. I would
not like the thought of two teenagers in a room alone and with no supervision. They should be
visible at all times, so if the door was glass that that would be fine with me. Another reason is the
bed. I understand that everyone that has children must trust their children, in addition to I strongly
believe parents will plan for the worst no matter how much they trust their kid. I will not want my
child to get anyone pregnant/be pregnant so to prevent such events they will not be allowed in a
bedroom with the door closed also will have to be visible at all times.... Show more content on

Definitions of intellectual property, its legal protections, and the impact of the moral justifications

Intellectual property defines a wide range of the property created by investors, artistes, authors, and
musicians. The law governing intellectual property naturally includes the copyrights, trademarks,
and patents law. Its main intention is to motivate the development of art, sciences, and information
giving defined rights of property to all the artistes, who include inventors of science and art. These
rights assist artists to safeguard themselves from violation, unauthorized misuse, and use of their
creations. Service marks and trademarks safeguard distinguishing characteristics (such as a package
and name design) that are linked with certain products and services that display commercial source
(Blakley, Johanna 2010).
Laws safeguarding copyrights have strong links with the England law of the eighteenth century.
Complete patent laws may be tracked from the seventeenth century in England, but they have
always been part of the law of United States from the colonial period (Spinello, 2004). The concepts
of patent and copyright were all included in the constitution of the United States. The congress has
the power to encourage the development of useful art and science. It does this by safeguarding

The Viability of Fission and Fusion

As the global population increases exponentially, having passed six billion in 1999, the world
population is expected to be 8.9 billion by the year 2050. The worlds energy consumption will
increase by an estimated 54 percent by 2025. Energy demand in the industrialized world is
projected to grow 1.2 percent per year. Energy is a critical component of sustained economic
growth and improved standards of living. One of the major requirements for sustaining human
progress is an adequate source of energy. As the world s technological enhancements and standards

Paul Simon sets up the narrative of this song with a great opener. I could hear a narrator saying
it in the opening of a film. On top of the epic opening sequence possibility it also offers a well
defined character description. Any actor worth his salt like Daniel Day Lewis or Oscar Isaac or
Cate Blanchett could take the opening line and craft a complex character out of it. What s cool
is a writer could easily take the whole song and craft a novel, film, etc. I ve been think a bit about

25. Summary Of Waiting For Godot
Class 2 B
Roll no. 690
Subject Contemporary Literature
Relevance of Act 2 in Waiting for Godot
Waiting for Godot is an absurdist play written by Samuel Beckett. The play seems to refuse any
attempt to impose meaning systematically. The author would have us believe that time is
meaningless, that repetition rules all, that inertia is manifest and human life is pointless. This idea
that human life lacks meaning and purpose and that humans live in an indifferent universe is often
associated with Existentialist writers like Albert Camus and Jean Paul Sartre who, unlike Beckett,
brought to life their dark ideas in traditional linear novels and plays with round rather than flat
characters. Critics argue that Beckett s non traditional play, a classic example of what has come to
be known as the Theatre of the Absurd, more fully clarifies the era s bleak existentialist vision. It is
a vision of irrationality sheer waiting without end or outcome; yet these experiences of
shapelessness and purposelessness are given powerful and distinctive shape by distinctive dramatic
structure and elaborate repetitions.
Swati Pal in her essay, Repetition and Recollection In Waiting For Godotsays, Act 2 is only a
variation of Act 1, almost a near repetition of it . Act I and Act II are threads in a repetitive pattern.
Everything has happened over and over before and chances are that the pattern will continue to

It is generally limited to a geographic area such as a writing lab, school, or building. Rarely are
LAN computers more than a mile apart. In a typical LAN configuration, one computer is
designated as the file server. It stores all of the software that controls the network, as well as the
software that can be shared by the computers attached to the network. Computers connected to
the file server are called workstations. The workstations can be less powerful than the file server,
and they may have additional software on their hard drives. On many LANs, cables are used to
connect the network interface cards in each computer; other LANs may be wireless. All stations
are connected by cable or wireless to a central point, such as hub or a switch. If the central node is
operating in a broadcast fashion such as a Hub, transmission of a frame from one station to the node
is retransmitted on all of the outgoing links. In this case, although the arrangement is physically a

For methodology, it was fortunate that I got the opportunity to join the Directed Reading Program
on statistical methods, ranking soccer teams in cooperation with Dr. Steve. Because outcomes
involving multiple categories occur more often, we wanted to compare and improve existing
ranking methods, and made them suitable for more classifications. For example, primarily, there
was only one classification: scores. To advance, currently, classification of yardages would also be
considered when ranking. After collecting unstructured data online, we used least squares to get the
squared matrix for Massey s Method but found it failed to cover multiple categories simultaneously.
After research and comparison of other methods, we found that Markov Method succeeded because
the weights can be assigned to eigenvectors of normalized stochastic matrices. Since we have found
the desired method, we reached the agreement that the comparison between the two methods was
consequential here. The results by using the two methods of ranking the same set of scores were
different. Therefore, on the seminar, I concluded that Markov methods outperformed Massey s
Method in the research, but further research suggests that Massey s Methods have a better
performance under some circumstances. It is the charisma of data science that analysts should

28. Essay on Politics by Aristotle
The subject which the question focuses on is the view of Aristotle s ideal state. The distinction
between hierarchy and equality is at the heart of the understanding of Aristotle s ideal state. He
claims that an ideal state ought to be arranged to maximise the happiness of its citizens. So
happiness together with political action is the telos of human life. This end can be reached by
living a better ethical life. However, he endorses hierarchyover equality. On one hand we have the
equality which benefits everyone; on the other hand we have the distinction of classes meant in
terms of diversities and differences where the middle one appears to be the means through which
the state is balanced. Furthermore what is clear for Aristotle is that... Show more content on

I will now start with the analysis of the relevance in an ideal state of ruling and being ruled.
Aristotle s view on this is clear, he says that citizens should rule and be ruled in turn. He claims
that those who rule and those who obey are the same. At this level, therefore, Aristotle seems to
praise equality. He says:
... it is obviously necessary on many grounds that all the citizens alike should take their turn of
governing and being governed. Equality consists in the same treatment of similar persons, and no
government can stand which is not founded upon justice. For if the government be unjust everyone
in the country unites with the governed in the desire to have a revolution ...
I strongly agree with this concept of the cyclical flow of power. I find it as a perfect way to
achieve a well spread equality in society and for this reason it is needed to have a more equal
distribution of justice. In addition to this he then argues that: ... for he who would learn to
command well must [...] first of all learn to obey. He thinks that those who were firstly ruled,
when they have power they will rule in a better way, because they will understand the meaning of
being ruled. I once again agree with this view, I believe that this mutual change of roles lets
citizens think more carefully on the meaning of ruling and being ruled. As a matter of fact, if we

their students data and using that time to make informed instructional decisions after
collaborating with their colleagues. Teachers were walking away each week with new learning;
however, there was very little, if any, time spent on reviewing student work samples and
adjusting instruction based on feedback. I decided at that point it was time to make a change. In

In his novel Lord of the Flies, William Golding writes an unsettling story about the horrific

civilization is taken away. Set during World War III, a group of boys aged six to twelve years
old are stranded on an island with no resources except the ones they can acquire from the island.
The boys create a civilization with rules for themselves in order to survive. As the novel
progresses, the civilization unravels and the boys humanity lays on a fragile line, bordering on

this, Golding shows how determined the boys were on killing the beast. The repeated chant is a
constant reminder of their final goal, to brutally kill the beast. This causes an unsettling feeling for
the reader because the closer Simon s murder gets, the more the boys bloodlust increases. The
continuous chant about spilling the beast s blood implies a horribly brutal and bloody death for
Simon as the boys cannot recognize the difference between Simon and the Beast in their animal like

with a handgun license. As mentioned in the beginning many any states have passed this law, but
across the United States there are still a lot of states who debate on whether they should allow their
own students to conceal a firearm on campus. Back in the 1900 s many students had access to

The brain is a very complex part of the human anatomy. It has two hemispheres which control
different parts of the body and mental processes like breathing, thinking, and sleeping. The cerebral
cortex, which surrounds the two hemispheres, is just one of these complex areas of the brain
(Huffman, 2005, p.67). This part of the brainhas different functions for motor and sensory data.
Four lobes are the part of the brain are that is covered. These lobes have extremely important
participating roles in the human system, and without them the body would be unable to do
mundane tasks like talking or memorization (Huffman, 2005, p.68). These help to control more
functions and sending various messages to parts of the body. Continually, the two hemispheres of

ABSTRACT
802.11 wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) becomes most important these days. Whether it
would be simple range extender for a home wired Ethernet interface, or as a wireless interface,
WLAN provides mobility, ease of access and affordable. Most of the 802.11 wireless network uses
the frequency of 2.4GHz, which leads the network to be unsafe and more vulnerable than
traditional Ethernet networks. In general, security issues for the Network layer has been discussed
rapidly, but where as for MAC layer security mechanisms has not been extensively discussed.
Wireless network security has gained attention due to the vulnerabilities exposed in the open
communication platform. Most prevalent wireless Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol is
IEEE 802.11, which considers all the nodes in the network are safe cooperative. However,
attackers may make nodes misbehave in order to disrupt network performance, obtain extra
bandwidth and consume resources. These MAC layer misbehaviors can be called as Denial of
Service (DoS) attacks which can disrupt the network operation. Influencing security flaws in the
IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol even an average person with basic knowledge on wireless networks can
launch MAC layer denial of service (DOS) attacks. In this paper we study two types of MAC layer
Denial Of Service attacks that can be easily operated by an

Why are comics not appreciated as much as the dry narratives of novels in the literary world? A
comic is composed of symbols to express concepts shared by all people in their own social
environment, and provide more tools than conventional art to truly show artistic intention.
Comics exist to expose the ethnic representations that seek to control the development of collective
perceptions, memories and emotions and especially fear by investigating the techniques through
which this control is maintained. Maus I is a true account of a Holocaust survivor, Vladek

Spiegelman uses mice, cats, pigs and other animals to portray the victims and events in the
Holocaust. He uses real features of human beings such as hands, feet and emotions to give the
animals the full potential to relate to. Maus reveals that the characters portrayed as mice are
being seen in sharper relief as human concerns in the world of mice. Spiegelman decided on
interesting but possibly offensive use of different animals to use. The first type of animal which
appears in this comic is the mouse (MausI:5). The form of mice is used to represent the Jewish
people during the Holocaust and as of now too. The Polish police were involved in the arrest of
innocent Jewish mice (27). The Polish people were pigs and Germans were represented as cats.
The Germans appearance as cats began to make sense in the way how cats chase, hunt and kill
mice (33). This comic book was translated into an easily readable format to educate the history of
the Holocaust to the younger generations.
Second, the choice of a comic format serves as a vital aspect in the reader s understanding of the
visual society and making awareness through generations as more attuned to the image than to the
word. In Vladek s world, being and living as a human meant living in fear. Vladek escapes the fear
of death for a time through the intercession of an S.S. officer who wanted to learn English from
