This was an Inter Collegiate and a State Level Contest named SIGMA '08. Won a special prize for this paper. This research emphasized on how simple concepts of Mathematics helps into constructing complex mathematical models for space programming and their individual importance in real time applications.
Transformation matrices can be used to describe that at what angle the servos need to be to reach the desired position in space or may be an underwater autonomous vehicle needs to reach or align itself with several different obstacles inside the water.
Poster based on research on investigating the non-linear response of a synchronous machine to variations in system parameters (torque and damping), demonstrating the existence of a bifurcation curve within the parameter space. Response was visualized using state space diagrams. This poster was presented at the Power and Energy Conference at the University of Illinois (PECI) in Spring 2017.

In stereo vision, the epipolar geometry is the intrinsic projective geometry between the two views. The essential and fundamental matrices relate corresponding points in stereo images. The essential matrix describes the geometry when the used cameras are calibrated, and the fundamental matrix expresses the geometry when the cameras are uncalibrated. Since the nineties, researchers devoted a lot of effort to estimate the fundamental matrix. Although it is a landmark of computer vision, in the current work, three derivations of the essential and fundamental matrices have been revised. The Longuet-Higgins' derivation of the essential matrix where he draws a mapping between the position vectors of a 3D point; however, the one-to-one feature of that mapping is lost when he changed it to a relation between the image points. In the two other derivations, we demonstrate that the authors established a mapping between the image points through the misuse of mathematics.

This talk will provide a very brief overview of graph algorithms and their expression using sparse linear algebra, followed by a high-level description of the GraphBLAS library and its usage.
Graphs are among the most important abstract data types in computer science, and the algorithms that operate on them are critical to modern life. Algorithms on graphs are applied in many ways in today's world—from Web rankings to metabolic networks, from finite element meshes to semantic graphs. Graphs have been shown to be powerful tools for modeling these complex problems because of their simplicity and generality. GraphBLAS is an API specification that defines standard building blocks for graph algorithms in the language of linear algebra. Graph algorithms have long taken advantage of the idea that a graph can be represented as a matrix, and graph operations can be performed as linear transformations and other linear algebraic operations on sparse matrices. For example, matrix-vector multiplication can be used to perform a step in a breadth-first search. The GraphBLAS specification (and the various libraries that implement it) provides data structures and functions to compute these linear algebraic operations. In particular, the GraphBLAS specifies sparse matrix objects which map well to graphs where vertices are likely connected to relatively few neighbors (i.e. the degree of a vertex is significantly smaller than the total number of vertices in the graph). The benefits of this approach are reduced algorithmic complexity, ease of implementation, and improved performance.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
