Managing parallel processes can be like herding cats. Unlike typical assembly line production, the links between parallel do not lend themselves to visually observation. This study is a classic example of how lean six sigma methods
and tools can be used to bring predictability to this chaos. It's not easy, but it can be done.

A pipeline leak detection system (PLDS) is an increasingly standard component of a modern pipeline control system. Pipeline operators function today in an environment where leak detection systems are seen as a condition of operation mandated via the legal code and enforced through both the courts and regulatory mechanisms and agencies.
PLDS system requirements have generally become more stringent with time. Prudent operators responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for leak detection systems must:
• Clearly identify regulatory requirements.
• Define application requirements.
• Select an appropriate leak detection product.
• Initially test and validate system performance.
• Perform recurring testing and validation.

The Importance Of The Right Instrumentation For Pipeline Leak Detection
In this era where pipeline infrastructure is badly needed to bring liquid products from new plays to market – finding a path to build new pipelines has been increasingly difficult. Politics aside, there is no question that environmental, health and safety are the main concerns when it comes to permitting and building pipelines, and we’ve seen many major projects stalled or cancelled over the past 5 years. The good news? Pipelines remain the safest and most efficient way to transport liquid product, which ultimately bodes well for the industry as expansion is needed. As a collective - however – the industry needs to make a much better case in the court of public opinion if we ever hope to quell the fears prevalent among the discussion.

A global development organization—in seven cities on three continents—has developers all using agile practices to develop complex applications. In addition to the common problems faced by distributed teams, they must deal with attrition rates in excess of 50 percent, possible loss of intellectual property, and the need to integrate the work of multiple Scrum teams into a single build. James Lynn describes an organizational structure that includes implementation teams, known as “the Factory.” Developers in the Factory often have little in-depth knowledge of the application or customer. Assisting the Factory are architecture teams that provide oversight, communication, coordination, and technical direction. The architecture teams include new roles such as Code Trolls who develop reference implementations for services and patterns to ensure the production of consistent code to common coding standards and quality measurements. These trolls review code against metrics standards, test case standards, and coverage. Learn how one organization successfully coordinated the efforts of massive, distributed development projects.

Lynda Cooper: ISO/IEC 20000 - The Launch of the Revised StandarditSMF UK
ISO/IEC 20000 is a standard for service management that can be applied to IT and non-IT services and is already used around the world, which can be supported by ITIL, VeriSM, Devops, IT4IT, or any other framework. With the third edition of the standard being published in Q4 of 2018 and officially launced at ITSM18, this presentation is perfect for those that already use ISO/IEC 20000 and want to find out about what is new; or those who are wishing to improve their services and learn more about what ISO/IEC 20000 is.
Take a look at this presentation to get an overview of the revised standard covering: why the revision was needed and how it addresses today's business and service management challenges; the benefits of the standard and of the revision; what is new, changed, or removed; and the timeline for transition for organizations already certified.

Service Reporting and how it applies to your Collaborative Environment.
Service Delivery is a an often used phrase currently, but what is a service ? How do you report on quality of service delivery ? Eileen shall take you through the definition of Service Delivery as it relates to your collaboration tools ( Domino , Sametime, Quickr , BES , Traveller ,) whether hosted on site , via a service provider , via a hosting service provider or the cloud.
Using ITIL Terms and Definitions we shall break down service delivery and how it relates to your Collaborative System , from Administrators to Management to Customers. From Technical KPI's ( Key Performance Indicators ) to Customer SLA's ( Service Level Agreements ). Expect lots of Buzz words such as Capacity Management , Availability Management, Demand Management .. but have them accompanied with practical examples that clarifies them.

NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN CONDENSING HEAT EXCHANGERS...ssuser7dcef0
Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.

Final project report on grocery store management system..pdfKamal Acharya
In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.
Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
