The Combustion of Polymers
Introduction
The history of polymers stretch back millions of years. These primitive polymers were created by
nature to fulfill the needs of information storage, energy storage and information reproduction. Human
made polymers are a more recent invention, of the last two hundred years or so. These polymers are
general made of highly flammable hydrocarbons and their derivatives. Fires caused by a combination
of human careless and the physical properties of hydrocarbons have caused millions of dollars in
property damage and claimed an untold number of human lives. It is this fact that has lead to scientists
devoting time and resources to making polymers safer. In the following paragraphs the mechanism
behind burning polymers will be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This dehydrates the polymer, forming the protective carbon layer. At higher temperatures the
phosphoric acid can help in the generation of cross linked species and can under go polymerization to
form polyphosphates. Which react with the cross linked species to form the char layer. Borated species
work the same way, they form a glassy surface that helps protect and insulate the substrate. The final
pathway that will be investigated is the suppression of radical species in the reaction space. This is
done by introducing halogenated hydrocarbons and an inorganic enhancer into the polymer. When the
polymer burns, halogen radicals are released into the gas phase. The halogen reacts with hydrogen, to
form a hydrogen halide. Finally, this species reacts with either hydrogen or oxygen radical to form
hydrogen gas or water vapor, respectfully. From this series of reactions the halogen radical is
regenerated, where it reacts with either the polymer substrate or more gaseous hydrogen to form
hydrogen halide. The halogen radicals are at a lower energy than either the hydrogen or oxygen
radical species. The effectiveness of this method is dependent on the halogen used. Bromine is the
most common due to it narrow temperature activation range. Chlorine is the next most common but
due to a broad temperature range is not as useful. Florine and

Analysis Of Mars And Venus Surprised By Vultron
Prompt 1
First Paragraph Principles of Art
The aesthetic experience of the painting Mars and Venus Surprised by Vultron by Hendrick De Clerck
boldly explores the human condition, which during the renaissance was a mindset that existed in a
society driven to find moral balance between our desires and the desires of God. Stories that
originated from mythology are formed to illustrate the difference between right and wrong. The artist
emphasizes the never ending battle between heaven and hell and good and bad through the dramatic
passionate tale of Mars and Venus. This Juxtaposition is illustrated in the artist s use of color. For
instance, the intense reds of the bed canopy against the peaceful blues of the sheets they lie on. As you
can see, the juxtaposition of the good and evil that resides in the hearts of man in his choice of
chiaroscuro, or value, which he uses to heavily contrast the luminous features of the painting with
darkness. It is also clear to see in the contrast in line work and texture, for example, the following
lines of the sheets against the round, sculpted flesh of the humans depicted. This painting reflects
realism and religious themes were of high importance in this specific era of the sixteenth century.
WC 203
This specific piece of art is an example of classical discipline and individual expression in the
renaissance time period. The artist expresses individuality to express mood especially in the
expressions he chose to paint with great care on each subject s face. The artist seemed to put a lot of
emphasis on how each subject was feeling at the time. The lovers are distraught and ashamed as they
are caught in the act. Her husband is upset at the betrayal, and inquiring in his gaze to God what
punishments should be sought, while Mars has his arm around her, as if to protect her. Though Venus
is defiant of her marriage by cheating on her husband with Mars, it is a temporary validation that came
from lust, symbolized by the artist with bowls of fruit in the foreground by the bed. The intensity of
these feelings are done justice with a massive scale panel as his canvas, with all these elements
combined, the painting ultimately portrays the complicated war between good and evil in the

Sarita Is A Lost Object
Sarita, in order to get rid of depression, has to name her lost object. The thing she is suffering for its
loss. Ironically, Sarita cannot name it and calls it this thing . She knows that she cannot call it love.
She believes that does not love Julio but actually hates him for being the reason of her pain. She tries
to find a meaning to her life and through her search for it she attempts to find a name for her
depressive object to get rid of it. She use letter writing, prayers to god and questioning her old
neighbor Fernando about peace of soul. Hence, through her journey to find meaning, she hopes to
identify her lost thing that drives her depression and emptiness. Sarita s mother Fela, establishes her
identity building by identifying to the fixed role assigned to her as a single mother in the patriarchal
society. She accepts the humiliation and disintegration that unwedded woman receives in the male
supporting society. Sarita, on the other hand, does not achieve her identity fulfilment by writing
letters. In her first letter, she writes him [...], you left and here I am. You ... Show more content on

Instead of identifying the lost object that Sarita turns into depressive mood for, Sarita loses her whole
identity. She cannot name it love because it is not love as we know it. It is rather a sexual addiction, a
disease or even something that is not identified. Although autobiographical writing is always used as a
healing method to overcome the obstacles that the writer of it faces in dealing with his depression, yet,
Fornes does not follow this pattern in her play Sarita. The play s heroine uses autobiographical writing
to express her longing, frustration, self loath and hope for salvation but she fails to use it to articulate
and rewrite a new identity that confirms her

Wicca And Witchcraft
Witchcraft is a religion. Wicca is one form of Witchcraft; however, the term Wicca is occasionally
applied to Witchcraft in overall. In the United States, most individuals who practice this religion
identify themselves as Witches or Wiccans. Wicca is an earth based religion and in some ways is akin
to the Native American spirituality. Wicca, which is sometimes called The Craft, Wicce, or The Old
Religion, is centered on an ancient religion of nature and love of life. Most federal and governments as
well as the U.S. Armed Forces recognize the religion of Wicca. The courts have acknowledged the
right of even inmates to perform this religion on the same basis as other religions.
In ancient times, people appreciated Nature with its great forces and celebrated the cycles of the
seasons and the moon. They understood the spirituality in the sun as well as the moon and in the Earth
Herself. When you come right down to it, in all of life.
This perspective is in spite of everything, vital to present day Wicca. To most Wiccans, everything in
Nature, together with the Goddesses and Gods, is a true aspect of Deity. The elements most often
notable in the Craft are the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone, which is known as the Triple Goddess
of the Moon and in addition the Horned God. These have numerous names in a number of cultures.
Wicca is personal, flexible and all encompassing. You will find no two Wiccans observe their faith in
exactly the same way but all are accepted. This can only

Profit And Non Profit Organizations
Profit and Non profit organizations make up the core of American business culture and charitable
services. Nonprofits organizations like The American Kidney depend on donations and grants from
individuals, government supplements, and corporations. For profit organizations like The Dallas
Opera depends on revenue from sales and contributions to meet the needs of their mission. While both
The American Kidney Fund and The Dallas Opera have different corporate cultures that require
support from outside sources, they each must display ethical values to support the financial needs of
the institution; and to the recipients of services provided. In this, both companies set a mission and
company profile to display to illustrate why their organizations are worthy of financial support and
outreach from the community.
The American Kidney Fund (AKF) was founded in 1971, to help any single individual with kidney
failure pay for dialysis. More than 40 years later, AKF has become the leading source of direct
financial aid to dialysis patients across the nation. The American Kidney Fund leads the nation in
providing charitable assistance to dialysis patients who need help with the costs associated with
treating kidney failure. The American Kidney Fund (AKF) is a major publicly supported 501(c)(3)
non profit organization. AKF is provides treatment related financial assistance to dialysis patients and

The Importance Of Good Writing Skills In The Dental Office
Did you know pens are lost every day in dental offices around the country? Whether a coworker or the
dentist themselves, takes the pen, or you lose the pen going from one room to another, a replacement
must be found. As a dental assistant, you never really get the chance to sit down. You are running from
one patient room to another following the doctor around the office. In an American dental office, there
are multiple tasks to be completed. Tasks may involve both writing and communication skills.
Carrying a pen around is like carrying your cell phone around, you need it at all times in the dental
world in order to keep in touch with your team. Many things must be written down and you cannot
write something without a pen, but let us look at the importance of writing skills as a dental assistant.
In the dental field having good writing skills is highly important. Good writing skills help in job
opportunities, dental assisting tasks, and can result with positive or negative outcomes.
Job Searching As dental professionals, it is very important to have good writing skills while job
searching. Majority of jobs request resumes to learn about previous job experiences, educational
background, and current knowledge in the field which someone is applying for. A resume is a highly
important representation of professionalism, working knowledge, but also writing skills knowledge. A
good resume is often your first impression to a recruiter. Before interviews are scheduled, resumes are

Delay Analysis Of Networked Control System Essay
Delay Analysis Of Networked Control System
Abstract Networked Control Systems (NCS) are the control systems in which the control loops are
closed through a communication network. In recent years, the use of Network Control System (NCS)
have gained increasing attentions due to their cost effective and flexible applications. But one of the
major challenges that need to be tackle in NCS is the delay of the data transmission which occurs
throughout the communication network and thus degrades the control system performance and also
causes the system instability. Therefore, this paper presents an analysis of network delay in NCS. In
this paper, we have designed a model of delay control system for network induced delay using the
simulation model of network control system delay and thus analysed the effect of network delay on
the performance of the control system . The TrueTime simulator is used in this work.
Keywords networked control system, network delay, control performance, truetime, stability
I.INTRODUCTION
In conventional control systems, control signals are sent over the loop using analog or digital
technology, while in modern computer control systems, the control loop is almost entirely closed over
a communication network . The Networked Control Systems (NCSs) are one type of distributed
control systems in which sensors, actuators and controllers are interconnected by communication
networks. The defining feature

The Characters Of The Packs
Louis felt the pistol rub against his side. He had clipped the pistol on his right side just like Harry
showed him. He was ready if he needs to fire, but he really hoped he wouldn t. He wasn t concerned
about the killing factor, he would kill Sterling in a heartbeat. The thing that concerned him was his
poor aim. He could shoot, but his aim was quite shaky. He could see the boy s clearly from his spot.
He was ordered to stay back in the van with Niall. They had guns just in case but were instructed to
only shoot if they or the pack was in danger. They had a limited number of silver bullets and could not
afford to waste a shot. Louis sighed and looked out at the pack. He wished he could fight with them

The boy had been beaten and from what he could tell starved. It looked like Calum had just woken up
from a restless nap. His short hair was tousled and his eyes barely opened. His head flopped to the side
and he stared blankly ahead. He wore nothing more than a thin oversized tee shirt and a pair of loose
black boxers. He looked freezing standing out in the cold. Michael stepped forwards, but Liam
grabbed a chunk of his fur yanking him back. Louis and Niall watched nervously from the van as
Harry stepped forward facing Sterling. The alpha was noticeably taller than Harry, and stronger too,
but not by very much. Their strength was quite even besides the fact that Sterling is a hybrid shifter.
Harry cleared his throat and looked to Sterling. We can make a deal. Harry offered. Sterling chuckled
dryly and crossed his arms. He gave a curt nod telling him to continue. Harry shifted nervously
between his feet. I will exchange you one thousand acres of our territory for Calum. Sterling laughed
coldly and shook his head. He looked past Harry and narrowed his eyes staring at Louis. I want the
omega. Sterling said. Not gonna happen. I don t want to fight. Give us back Calum and we will leave
your pack alone. Harry said. Calum listened to Harry and Sterling negotiate for a moment before he
finally tuned out. He made eye contact with Michael. The red haired boy stared back at him. He

Critical Review Of Tourism Literature Review
Critical Review of manuscript
This article brings to our knowledge and explains about the overall impact of tourism by taking the
four species of macropodids (Onychogalea faenata, Macropus rufogriseus, Wallabia bicolor and
Macropus giganteus) in a sanctuary as their study samples. A few negative impacts were observed on
different methods of approach and study and so it is concluded that, tours in vehicles would be better
to minimize those impacts rather than on foot. The study of this article proves to be worth reporting as
it exposes and creates the awareness in general about the negative impacts on different species due to
increasing human population and their approach towards them.
The title explains the study of this article and its findings but does not seem to be appropriate. The title
would look better if it was made precise and had apt words that best suited the article describing its
result.
The abstract gives an overall idea and the main aim of this article but has no background information
or reasoning. The study sample species names are mentioned but it lacks the methodology of their
study. It expresses a solution for the problem of the study but not a specific clear cut quantitative or
qualitative result. The content is too concise but still it conveys a message.
The introduction had the suitable information to the study and also it did introduce the topic. The aim
was explained in well organized manner but the hypothesis of the article was not clear.

“While Shareholders and Managers Will Have Different...
Managers are hired to act on behalf of the shareholders of a firm. However, this is not always the case
as both parties have different objectives. The difference in interests between shareholders and
managers derives from the separation of ownership and control in a corporation (Berk and DeMarzo,
2011: 921). Whereas shareholders are interested in maximising their own wealth, managers may have
more personal interests which differ to that of the shareholders. Downs and Monsen (no date, cited in
Chin, Cooley and Monsen, 1968:435) suggest that managers self interest lies in maximising their life
time income and that such self interest will be congruent with profit maximisation for the firm only in
special cases . This conflict between both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although it may be a simple solution, there are costs involved. Berk and DeMarzo (2011:922) state
that as no one shareholder has an incentive to bear these costs, as the benefits are then divided
between all shareholders, they instead elect a board of directors to monitor the managers on their
behalf. The directors duties include hiring the executive team, approving major investments and
acquisitions, and dismissing executives if necessary (Berk and DeMarzo, 2011: 922). The level of
monitoring required differs across firms and is based on the magnitude of the incentive gap between
principal and agent (Beatty and Zajac, 1994, cited in Westphal and Zajac, 1994:125). However, the
main factor affecting the level of monitoring provided is the cost, otherwise all rational firms would
monitor maximally, irrespective of the strength of incentive compensation contracts or other factors
(Westphal and Zajac, 1994:125). Although the board of directors are hired to keep a close eye on top
management, the agency problem may still exist. This will occur when the director s duties in
monitoring have been compromised as they have connections with management. A way of
overcoming this problem is to hire directors who are independent to the company, as they are deemed
to be better monitors of managerial effort. As Mehran (1995:166) states, outside directors are more
independent of top management and thus better represent the interests of shareholders than do inside

Analysis Of Marigolds By Eugenia Collier
The transformation from an innocent girl to a grown woman could be extremely tremendous. In the
short story, Marigolds, by Eugenia Collier, shows how much Lizabeth has mature. As she is maturing,
she is starting to have the realization of the real world and the meaning of compassion. At the time, the
Great Depression occur and the marketing crash. The Great Depression affected families and the
world itself. Based on the short story, Marigolds by Eugenia Collier, shows that one cannot have both
compassion and innocence at once from the character development of Lizabeth. Realizing what you
have done, but not knowing what exactly. Children could do the cruelest things, and not realize the
harm that they re putting others in. In the short story, Lizabeth isn t thinking before her actions that
actually is causing damage for Miss Lottie. Joey and Lizabeth is near MIss Lottie s home, but then
Zing Joey sent a pebble into the blossoms, and another marigold was beheaded (Collier, pg. 27).
Lizabeth is clueless to her surrounding of the world that she was living in causing her to make terrible
decision that was actually causing harm for others. Even though, Lizabeth thought it was all for fun
and a joke, Miss Lottie did not think it was, making Lizabeth feel ashamed. She is feeling guilty of
what she has down and starting to realize her mistakes. Innocence is one thing, but maturity is another
that you go through. In the short story, Lizabeth was starting to have the realization of her
surrounding. She noticed Miss Lottie and called her out, M miss Lottie! I scrambled to my feel and
just stood there and stared at her, and that was the moment when childhood faded and womanhood
began (Collier, pg. 30). Lizabeth notice the sad face; weary eyes of Miss Lottie. Se realize that the
witch isn t a witch, but is an old lady that is trying to make the best of the current situation of the
world. As she stare at Miss Lottie s face, she realize of how much regret she has and began to mature
into this grown woman. A girl with innocence mature into this grown woman has changed her whole
realization of the world that she is living.

This crucial attachment was believed to have a stimulus on subsequent attachments, thus resulting in a
higher significance than any other (Bowlby, 1951, cited in Holmes Fairfield, 2014). Bowlby went on
and devised the word monotropy which was to label the tendency of the child and have one main
attachment character with the succeeding psychopathology occurring later in life should the
attachment become damaged or fruitless.
Bowlby stated attachment was not shaped solely from the child s acceptance, but the behaviour of
another significant other, usually the mother or caregiver who had a crucial role in the child s growth.
The growth and development of the child is reliant on four stages of process from birth, Bowlby stated
these stages were where the child would bind to the mother or vice versa, he proposed one to two
months old in which the infant shows attachment to the mother by crying, sucking. The second stage
up to six months old the child has the focus on a mother figures and attaches to the one he or she has
more contact with. The third stage up to aged two named the secure base, where the child has its focus
on the where the main caregiver is when their welfare is under threat. The stage up over the age of two

A Comparison of Wealth in Antony and Cleopatra and The...
The Importance of Wealth in Antony and Cleopatra and The Tempest
Wealth and it s relationship to poverty figures in heavily in two of the plays we have read thus far in
class. In both Antony and Cleopatra and The Tempest we are treated to characters and situations that
deal with wealth and poverty. Specifically however, both plays have visions of an abundance of wealth
that seems at times both corruptible and foolish. In Antony and Cleopatra we have their excessive
behavior and flaunting, which proves to be a vice that grips them much to tightly. In The Tempest,
characters stranded on a deserted island have their own unique versions of achieving that said
abundance. Shakespeare treats the topic similarly in both plays, and ... Show more content on

Antony is a soldier foremost, and his actions at the moment, that of wealth and slack are not becoming
of a soldier or, Shakespeare thinks, even a man. This point is made even more solid when Antony
himself says it; O, my fortunes have/Corrupted honest men! (IV.v.16 17). It hardly gets any plainer
than that. The Tempest by virtue of plot seems and even more direct attack on wealth and abundance.
In the play, characters are stripped of their real world places and placed in an area where everything is
quite different. The abundance here becomes for some characters, the so called hope for the New
World that we have discussed in class. But for others, Caliban in specific, his view is corrupted by
these new elements and he begins to crave riches as well. Both of these wants, however, do turn on to
be negative. For example, early in the play, Gonzalo speaks and says:
I th commonwealth I would by contraries Execute all things, for no kind of traffic Would I admit; no
name of magistrate; Letters should not be known; riches, poverty And use of service, none; contract,
succession, Bourn, bound of land, tilth, vineyard, none; No use of metal, corn, or wine, or oil; No

The Art Of The Mona Lisa
The Mona Lisa is a painting done by Leonardo Da Vinci within the years of 1503 and 1519, done in
Florence Italy. The subject in the painting was Francesco del Gioconda s wife, and it took four years
for Leonardo to paint. The Mona Lisa painting depicts a woman seated in front of a vast mountainous
landscape with a mysterious smile and aura. The eyes have a luster and watery sheen, as well as the
skin, has shades and tints. The nose and eyebrows are shaped with such precision that only a master
painter can capture. Many spectators that look at the Mona Lisa claim that they see a beating pulse in

1. First of all, renewable energy is more governable than nuclear power.
2. Furthermore, renewable energy is benefit to human in two ways, in particular environmentally
friendly, and reducing the consumption of fossil fuels.
3. To some extent, developments in renewable energy need to be improved to satisfy people s demand,
or people prefer using oil rather than renewable sources.
4. However, referring to two objective disadvantages of renewable resources in the modern city, some
people indicates that it is almost impossible to transfer energy providing form fossil fuels to renewable

Darkness Imagery In Macbeth Essays
Darkness Imagery in William Shakespeare s Macbeth
Ambition and evil are the basic elements in William Shakespeare s Macbeth. Macbeth is a tragedy
which was written by Shakespeare in the Elizabethan Era. There was much use of Raphael Holinshed
s Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland as it was necessary for creating the environments and
situations in the play. Macbeth takes place mainly in Scotland and is a play about an ambitious thane,
named Macbeth, and his wife whose flaws lead to their demise. Since Macbeth is a tragedy, probably
nothing else would be as suitable for the play than darkness imagery.
Imagery is a very important aspect of literature. Many different types ... Show more content on

Finally, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are talking in the scene just before the murder of Banquo and
Macbeth says, quot;Light thickens, and the crow makes wing to the rooky wood: Good things of day
begin to droop and drowse, whiles night s black agents to their preys do rouse. quot; This example of
darkness imagery is saying that the day is turning into night, all the good things are going to sleep, and
the evil creatures are coming out. The evil in this previous quotation and the two before adds to the
ominous atmosphere. Since the imagery creates an ominous atmosphere it would then lead to the
second dramatic purpose, to arouse the emotions of the audience.
Darkness imagery is a very good tool for arousing the emotions of the audience. It enables people to
create a mental picture of what they are reading. For example, Duncan and Macbeth were talking
when Macbeth says aside, quot;Stars, hide your fires! Let not light see my black and deep desires.
quot; When words like quot;black quot; and quot;desire quot; are put in that context it creates many
horrible mental pictures about murders and fights which arouses peoples emotions. Ross is later
talking with an old man when he states quot;By the clock `tis day, and yet dark night strangles the
traveling lamp. quot; In other words;

You Just Don Y Understand
You Just Don t Understand by Deborah Tannen, Ph.D.
William Morrow and Company, 1990
Reviewed by Laura Morrison
That men and women are on different wavelengths when it comes to communicating is probably not
news to you. However, Can We Talk? the cover story of the December issue of New Age Journal,
provides some excellent new perspectives on this age old problem. The author, Peggy Taylor,
interviewed sociolinguist Deborah Tannen, who has written a book called You Just Don t Understand:
Women and Men in Conversation. Tannen s research shows that the differences between the
communication styles of men and women go far beyond mere socialization, and appear to be inherent
in the basic make up of each sex.
Tannen first noticed these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The woman begins to feel that her man doesn t care about her because he won t talk to her in a way
that feels intimate.
It is important for women to understand that men s communicating is all about status. Think about all
those nature shows you ve ever seen on PBS. The prime goal of male beasties is to be able to mate; to
do this they must be powerful enough to challenge the lead males in the herd. As they grow up, they
bide their time by establishing a pecking order. When a beastie is big and strong enough to have most
of the other males under him, he is ready to take on the old man. If he wins the fight, he gets to mate
with the females of his choice (and they will mate only with him).
Tannen has found that human males behave in exactly the same way. She discussed the research of
Marjorie Goodwin, who studied boys in Philadelphia for a year and a half. She found that boys give
orders as a way of gaining social status. The high status boys gave orders just to maintain their
dominance, not because they particularly needed the thing done. And the boys who were being told
what to do were low status, by virtue of doing what they were told.
This dynamic is important to remember when looking at another major area of miscommunication
between men and women. Women cannot understand the resistance men seem to have when asked for
assistance or consideration of some kind or another. Women must remember the above scenario and
understand that, for men, doing what they

Symbols Add A Level Of Depth That Can Help The Reader To
Symbols add a level of depth that can help the reader to see beyond what the author has provided and
into the lives of the characters themselves. Furthermore, analyzing symbols can help expand the
reader s knowledge of what certain actions or evens can mean during the play. Symbols can be found
throughout both Trifles and Othello, and each one helps further the plot or enhance characterization in
some way. Susan Glaspell and William Shakespeare both use powerful symbols to further the plot and
enhance character development.
In Trifles, one of the most important symbols play is the birdcage that Mrs. Wright had stashed away
within her kitchen. During the play, both Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters are discussing the tragedy that had

Wright. One of the first mentions is made by Mrs. Hale, when she states that Mrs. Wright used to sing
real pretty herself (Glaspell 857). She s implying that while Mrs. Wright used to sing, she no longer
does. This further proven when Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters find the strangled bird, and Mrs. Hale
points out that Mr. Wright would have never let such a creature that sang dwell in his household. Mrs.
Hale implies that Mr. Wright ultimately kills anything that sings in his presence. Not only does the
bird represent who Mrs. Wright used to be, its current state represents who Mrs. Wright became to be;
Mr. Wright strangled the beautiful spirit right out of her, leaving nothing but an empty husk of her
former self.
On the other hand, while Glaspell s symbols seem to represent her characters, Shakespeare represents
the struggles that his characters are experiencing throughout Othello. The first symbol that can be
noted within the famous play is that handkerchief that Othello gave to Desdemona. Othello shares
with Desdemona the original representation by recounting the story of how it came to be in his family
s possession:
Did an Egyptian to my mother give.
She was a charmer, and could almost read
The thoughts of people. She told her, while she kept it
Twould make her amiable and subdue my father
Entirely to her love. But if she lost it

the three key points may be the most important and bloody of them all.
The First Crusade began 1096 and ended 1099. The first crusade was an attempt to recapture
Jerusalem after the capture from the Muslims in 1076. The Christians that stayed and payed the tax for

fact. She made multiple speeches to Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Kohlberg
Kravis Roberts, and UBS Wealth Management, all while making $225,000 per speech. On top of the

Synagogue in Minneapolis. In addition, companies such as Bank of America, GE, the Xerox
Corporation, Cisco, and the Gap Inc. have all given money to Clinton. Even eBay gave an honorarium
of $315,000. The list just keeps going on. The Clinton Foundation, which is rumored to only donate

Regime and Nigerian dictators. Clinton also hid a $2.35 million donation from the head of the Russian

The Four Types of Paragraphs
THE FOUR TYPES OF PARAGRAPHS (With Examples)
There are four types of paragraphs we write. They include: narrative, informative, descriptive, and
persuasive. All paragraphs have certain elements, but the four types are also different from one
another in how they are composed. Look at the outline about paragraphs in general.
All paragraphs:
1. It has a strong beginning, or introduction sentence, which states the main idea clearly.
2. It has several supporting sentences which make up the body, and support the main idea. All
sentences in the supporting details should back up, or point to, that main idea. The details should be
strong and vivid. The sentence structure and length should vary.
3. It has a strong concluding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All that was left was the bathroom and my bedroom. I snuck into the bedroom, wielding the sharp
knife in terror, and bent over to look under the bed. No one was there. I silently released my breath
and turned toward the closet. I opened the closet carefully and switched on the light. Again, no one
was there. I had one place left to look: the bathroom. This was probably the hardest place, because I
had seen too many movies where someone was hiding in the shower. Nonetheless, I crept into the tiny
bathroom and flipped on the light switch. The navy blue shower curtain hung there concealing
whatever fate lay before me. I reached my hand out toward the curtain, paused a moment, steeling
myself and summoning the last of my courage, and committed myself to the search. I grabbed the
edge of the curtain and whipped it back in a flash, preparing myself to use the knife on the fiend
hiding in there. I trembled as the knife dropped out of my hand. No one was there. Relief flooded me
so strongly that I nearly crumpled to the floor. Later, after I had called my boyfriend back, he
remembered that he had gone by the apartment while I was gone and dropped off a book I was
reading. I had forgotten that he had a key. He had forgotten he d been there and closed the door. That
was one wild homecoming!

The Effects Of Deviance, Micro Level And Macro Level
There are several theories, which aim to help explain the causes of deviant behavior, however, not all
sociologists agree on the causes. There are two levels to look at when explaining causes of deviance,
micro level and macro level, each level has a different focus. I think that all of the theories are helpful
in explaining the causes of deviance, but I find the differential association theory to be most insightful.
Edwin Sutherland developed the differential association theory in the 1930 s. The differential
association theory includes nine different propositions, which explain the causes of deviance.
Differential association is defined as, social interactions with deviant as opposed to conventional
others (601). This theory basically explains how deviant behavior can be learned from various
interactions. In the documentary, The Interrupters, three professional ex criminals from Chicago who
work at CeaseFire and became Violence Interrupters are followed. The mission at CeaseFire is to
prevent the spread of violence at the source. One ex criminal, Ameena Matthews whose father was a
notorious gang leader, Jeff Fort, works to prevent violence in Chicago. Ameena Mathews used to be a
drug ring enforcer, but was able to get off the streets. I believe that the main reason why Ameena got
caught up in acts of deviance was because of her social interactions with deviant individuals. As a
young child, Ameena was exposed to deviant acts and individuals, which caused her to

Congestive Heart Failure
Introduction
Everyone loses pumping ability in their heart as they age. The serious case of heart failure develops
when other health conditions cause the heart to work harder or become damaged due to increased
stress. Heart failure is usually a chronic disease. It gradually tends to become worse. By the time
someone is diagnosed with it, the heart has most likely begun to lose pumping capacity for quits some
time. Nearly five million Americans are living with heart failure and 550,000 new cases are diagnosed
each year. This paper will discuss what heart failure is, and what nursing interventions may be of help
to patients who suffer from this disease. My grandmother was recently diagnosed with congestive ...

This excess fluid or congestion is where the term congestive heart failure comes from.
Right sided failure is often a result of left sided failure. When the left side fails, increased fluid
pressure develops in the lungs and damages the heart s right side. When pumping power is lost in the
right side, blood backs up in the veins causing swelling in the legs and ankles.
The heart tries to make up for loss of pumping capacity in three ways enlarging, developing more
muscle mass, and pumping faster. By enlarging, the heart contracts more strongly and pumps more
blood. When the contracting cells of the heart increase in size, an increase in muscle mass also occurs.
Pumping faster helps to increase the heart s output.
The body also does other things to help compensate for the loss in power in the heart. Blood vessels
narrow to keep the blood pressure up. The body diverts the majority of the blood to the heart and the
brain. Eventually the heart can t keep up and the person will suffer from fatigue, breathing problems
or various other symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, loss of appetite, nausea, confusion, or
increased heart rate. Factors such as smoking, being overweight, having a diet high in fat and
cholesterol, and not exercising can contribute to heart failure.
Background
After reviewing medical journals related to my topic, I discovered that many physicians and nurses
think that congestive heart failure is

Color Guard Passion
People with great passion can make the impossible happen. This quote refers to having a strong
passion for doing a certain thing and when you give it your all, it will be greatly rewarded by making
things that you thought weren t possible, happen. My strong passion for performing as a Color Guard
member is what causes me to relate to this. Every time I perform I get uncontrollably nervous. Once I
get on the show mat, I immediately forget about anything in life that might be causing me stress. As I
begin to perform I can feel the crowd s energy and that is what pushes me to make every performance
better than the last. These improvements are what cause me to make every performance more
successful than the last, and they make those impossible achievements happen. Color Guard rehearsals
were very exhausting, especially since they went from 5pm to 9pm on Tuesdays and Fridays after

A Journal of the Plague Year Critique
A Journal of the Plague Year is a first person account of what it was like living through the times of
the plague. It recollects stories and other accounts of plague times heard by and collected by the Defoe
from other involved individuals. Explains many aspects before, during, and after the plague of their
ways of life and culture. Tells of tales of survivors of the plague but mostly off different tales of deaths
and how they died in many outrageous and tragic ways of people killing their families, themselves, or
masses of people. The whole journal is filled with collections of stories, but also with charts showing
the deaths in different parishes and how they change as the plague raged on. In the end, it tells how
life went back to normal for London and Defoe and his family.
Author Daniel Defoe wrote this journal to document his story of the plague along with others so that
he may share his account with future readers. He wanted people to hear his story and recollection of
the plague so that readers may learn about this epidemic straight through his journal. Showed the
struggle people, including himself, went through just for safety for their family and themselves from
the plague. He wanted to give examples of what the plague had done to people and what the results of
the plague was after it had infected them. Daniel wanted to show his own personal sense of hope
through his journal to show that even through the toughest of times, mass death of family and friends,

The Importance Of Reasoning In Critical Thinking
Society today requires individuals to develop skills to make informed, thought driven decisions, rather
than quick hasty decisions, in many situations both personally and professionally. Decisions like these
are made based on critical thinking skills that are not inherited but developed through many years of
training both of the mind and of one s thought processes. Understanding how thinking occurs and
analyzing the thought processes are steps that critical thinkers use on a daily basis (Paul Elder, 2012).
In addition, according to Celuch Slama (2000), critical thinking is essential to lifelong learning and is
developed through improved reasoning and communication skills.
Oftentimes, reasoning and thinking are used interchangeably; however, reasoning represents the
higher order thinking skills (Paul Elder, 2012). Accordingly, thinking can be conscious or
unconscious; however, reasoning is always conscious and requires logic (Difference Between
Thinking and Reasoning, 2016). Understanding the eight elements of reasoning associated with
developing intellectual traits, is important for critical thinking (Paul Elder, 2012). Reasoning always
has a purpose which in turn is the goal or objective of the thought (Paul Elder, 2012). Developing a
budget for Christmas shopping to prevent overspending is an example of reasoning with a purpose.
Questioning or trying to figure out a problem is another element of reasoning (Celuch Slama, 1999).
Asking ourselves questions,

  • 2. The Combustion of Polymers Introduction The history of polymers stretch back millions of years. These primitive polymers were created by nature to fulfill the needs of information storage, energy storage and information reproduction. Human made polymers are a more recent invention, of the last two hundred years or so. These polymers are general made of highly flammable hydrocarbons and their derivatives. Fires caused by a combination of human careless and the physical properties of hydrocarbons have caused millions of dollars in property damage and claimed an untold number of human lives. It is this fact that has lead to scientists devoting time and resources to making polymers safer. In the following paragraphs the mechanism behind burning polymers will be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This dehydrates the polymer, forming the protective carbon layer. At higher temperatures the phosphoric acid can help in the generation of cross linked species and can under go polymerization to form polyphosphates. Which react with the cross linked species to form the char layer. Borated species work the same way, they form a glassy surface that helps protect and insulate the substrate. The final pathway that will be investigated is the suppression of radical species in the reaction space. This is done by introducing halogenated hydrocarbons and an inorganic enhancer into the polymer. When the polymer burns, halogen radicals are released into the gas phase. The halogen reacts with hydrogen, to form a hydrogen halide. Finally, this species reacts with either hydrogen or oxygen radical to form hydrogen gas or water vapor, respectfully. From this series of reactions the halogen radical is regenerated, where it reacts with either the polymer substrate or more gaseous hydrogen to form hydrogen halide. The halogen radicals are at a lower energy than either the hydrogen or oxygen radical species. The effectiveness of this method is dependent on the halogen used. Bromine is the most common due to it narrow temperature activation range. Chlorine is the next most common but due to a broad temperature range is not as useful. Florine and ... • 3. Analysis Of Mars And Venus Surprised By Vultron Prompt 1 First Paragraph Principles of Art The aesthetic experience of the painting Mars and Venus Surprised by Vultron by Hendrick De Clerck boldly explores the human condition, which during the renaissance was a mindset that existed in a society driven to find moral balance between our desires and the desires of God. Stories that originated from mythology are formed to illustrate the difference between right and wrong. The artist emphasizes the never ending battle between heaven and hell and good and bad through the dramatic passionate tale of Mars and Venus. This Juxtaposition is illustrated in the artist s use of color. For instance, the intense reds of the bed canopy against the peaceful blues of the sheets they lie on. As you can see, the juxtaposition of the good and evil that resides in the hearts of man in his choice of chiaroscuro, or value, which he uses to heavily contrast the luminous features of the painting with darkness. It is also clear to see in the contrast in line work and texture, for example, the following lines of the sheets against the round, sculpted flesh of the humans depicted. This painting reflects realism and religious themes were of high importance in this specific era of the sixteenth century. WC 203 This specific piece of art is an example of classical discipline and individual expression in the renaissance time period. The artist expresses individuality to express mood especially in the expressions he chose to paint with great care on each subject s face. The artist seemed to put a lot of emphasis on how each subject was feeling at the time. The lovers are distraught and ashamed as they are caught in the act. Her husband is upset at the betrayal, and inquiring in his gaze to God what punishments should be sought, while Mars has his arm around her, as if to protect her. Though Venus is defiant of her marriage by cheating on her husband with Mars, it is a temporary validation that came from lust, symbolized by the artist with bowls of fruit in the foreground by the bed. The intensity of these feelings are done justice with a massive scale panel as his canvas, with all these elements combined, the painting ultimately portrays the complicated war between good and evil in the ... Ironically, Sarita cannot name it and calls it this thing . She knows that she cannot call it love. She believes that does not love Julio but actually hates him for being the reason of her pain. She tries to find a meaning to her life and through her search for it she attempts to find a name for her depressive object to get rid of it. She use letter writing, prayers to god and questioning her old neighbor Fernando about peace of soul. Hence, through her journey to find meaning, she hopes to identify her lost thing that drives her depression and emptiness. Sarita s mother Fela, establishes her identity building by identifying to the fixed role assigned to her as a single mother in the patriarchal society. Although autobiographical writing is always used as a healing method to overcome the obstacles that the writer of it faces in dealing with his depression, yet, Fornes does not follow this pattern in her play Sarita. The play s heroine uses autobiographical writing to express her longing, frustration, self loath and hope for salvation but she fails to use it to articulate and rewrite a new identity that confirms her ... • 5. Wicca And Witchcraft Witchcraft is a religion. Wicca is one form of Witchcraft; however, the term Wicca is occasionally applied to Witchcraft in overall. In the United States, most individuals who practice this religion identify themselves as Witches or Wiccans. Wicca is an earth based religion and in some ways is akin to the Native American spirituality. Wicca, which is sometimes called The Craft, Wicce, or The Old Religion, is centered on an ancient religion of nature and love of life. Most federal and governments as well as the U.S. Armed Forces recognize the religion of Wicca. The courts have acknowledged the right of even inmates to perform this religion on the same basis as other religions. In ancient times, people appreciated Nature with its great forces and celebrated the cycles of the seasons and the moon. They understood the spirituality in the sun as well as the moon and in the Earth Herself. When you come right down to it, in all of life. This perspective is in spite of everything, vital to present day Wicca. To most Wiccans, everything in Nature, together with the Goddesses and Gods, is a true aspect of Deity. The elements most often notable in the Craft are the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone, which is known as the Triple Goddess of the Moon and in addition the Horned God. These have numerous names in a number of cultures. Wicca is personal, flexible and all encompassing. You will find no two Wiccans observe their faith in exactly the same way but all are accepted. Nonprofits organizations like The American Kidney depend on donations and grants from individuals, government supplements, and corporations. For profit organizations like The Dallas Opera depends on revenue from sales and contributions to meet the needs of their mission. While both The American Kidney Fund and The Dallas Opera have different corporate cultures that require support from outside sources, they each must display ethical values to support the financial needs of the institution; and to the recipients of services provided. In this, both companies set a mission and company profile to display to illustrate why their organizations are worthy of financial support and outreach from the community. The American Kidney Fund (AKF) was founded in 1971, to help any single individual with kidney failure pay for dialysis. More than 40 years later, AKF has become the leading source of direct financial aid to dialysis patients across the nation. The American Kidney Fund leads the nation in providing charitable assistance to dialysis patients who need help with the costs associated with treating kidney failure. • 10. Delay Analysis Of Networked Control System Essay Delay Analysis Of Networked Control System Abstract Networked Control Systems (NCS) are the control systems in which the control loops are closed through a communication network. In recent years, the use of Network Control System (NCS) have gained increasing attentions due to their cost effective and flexible applications. But one of the major challenges that need to be tackle in NCS is the delay of the data transmission which occurs throughout the communication network and thus degrades the control system performance and also causes the system instability. Therefore, this paper presents an analysis of network delay in NCS. In this paper, we have designed a model of delay control system for network induced delay using the simulation model of network control system delay and thus analysed the effect of network delay on the performance of the control system . The TrueTime simulator is used in this work. Keywords networked control system, network delay, control performance, truetime, stability I.INTRODUCTION In conventional control systems, control signals are sent over the loop using analog or digital technology, while in modern computer control systems, the control loop is almost entirely closed over a communication network . The Networked Control Systems (NCSs) are one type of distributed control systems in which sensors, actuators and controllers are interconnected by communication networks. The defining feature ... He was ready if he needs to fire, but he really hoped he wouldn t. He wasn t concerned about the killing factor, he would kill Sterling in a heartbeat. The thing that concerned him was his poor aim. He could shoot, but his aim was quite shaky. He could see the boy s clearly from his spot. He was ordered to stay back in the van with Niall. They had guns just in case but were instructed to only shoot if they or the pack was in danger. They had a limited number of silver bullets and could not afford to waste a shot. Michael stepped forwards, but Liam grabbed a chunk of his fur yanking him back. Louis and Niall watched nervously from the van as Harry stepped forward facing Sterling. The alpha was noticeably taller than Harry, and stronger too, but not by very much. Their strength was quite even besides the fact that Sterling is a hybrid shifter. Harry cleared his throat and looked to Sterling. We can make a deal. Harry offered. Sterling chuckled dryly and crossed his arms. He gave a curt nod telling him to continue. Harry shifted nervously between his feet. I will exchange you one thousand acres of our territory for Calum. Sterling laughed coldly and shook his head. He looked past Harry and narrowed his eyes staring at Louis. I want the omega. Sterling said. Not gonna happen. I don t want to fight. Give us back Calum and we will leave your pack alone. • 12. Critical Review Of Tourism Literature Review Critical Review of manuscript This article brings to our knowledge and explains about the overall impact of tourism by taking the four species of macropodids (Onychogalea faenata, Macropus rufogriseus, Wallabia bicolor and Macropus giganteus) in a sanctuary as their study samples. A few negative impacts were observed on different methods of approach and study and so it is concluded that, tours in vehicles would be better to minimize those impacts rather than on foot. The study of this article proves to be worth reporting as it exposes and creates the awareness in general about the negative impacts on different species due to increasing human population and their approach towards them. The title explains the study of this article and its findings but does not seem to be appropriate. The title would look better if it was made precise and had apt words that best suited the article describing its result. The abstract gives an overall idea and the main aim of this article but has no background information or reasoning. The study sample species names are mentioned but it lacks the methodology of their study. It expresses a solution for the problem of the study but not a specific clear cut quantitative or qualitative result. The content is too concise but still it conveys a message. The introduction had the suitable information to the study and also it did introduce the topic. The aim was explained in well organized manner but the hypothesis of the article was not clear. ... • 13. “While Shareholders and Managers Will Have Different... Managers are hired to act on behalf of the shareholders of a firm. However, this is not always the case as both parties have different objectives. The difference in interests between shareholders and managers derives from the separation of ownership and control in a corporation (Berk and DeMarzo, 2011: 921). Whereas shareholders are interested in maximising their own wealth, managers may have more personal interests which differ to that of the shareholders. Downs and Monsen (no date, cited in Chin, Cooley and Monsen, 1968:435) suggest that managers self interest lies in maximising their life time income and that such self interest will be congruent with profit maximisation for the firm only in special cases . The directors duties include hiring the executive team, approving major investments and acquisitions, and dismissing executives if necessary (Berk and DeMarzo, 2011: 922). The level of monitoring required differs across firms and is based on the magnitude of the incentive gap between principal and agent (Beatty and Zajac, 1994, cited in Westphal and Zajac, 1994:125). However, the main factor affecting the level of monitoring provided is the cost, otherwise all rational firms would monitor maximally, irrespective of the strength of incentive compensation contracts or other factors (Westphal and Zajac, 1994:125). Although the board of directors are hired to keep a close eye on top management, the agency problem may still exist. This will occur when the director s duties in monitoring have been compromised as they have connections with management. A way of overcoming this problem is to hire directors who are independent to the company, as they are deemed to be better monitors of managerial effort. As Mehran (1995:166) states, outside directors are more independent of top management and thus better represent the interests of shareholders than do inside ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Importance of Wealth in Antony and Cleopatra and The Tempest Wealth and it s relationship to poverty figures in heavily in two of the plays we have read thus far in class. In both Antony and Cleopatra and The Tempest we are treated to characters and situations that deal with wealth and poverty. Specifically however, both plays have visions of an abundance of wealth that seems at times both corruptible and foolish. It is important for women to understand that men s communicating is all about status. Think about all those nature shows you ve ever seen on PBS. The prime goal of male beasties is to be able to mate; to do this they must be powerful enough to challenge the lead males in the herd. As they grow up, they bide their time by establishing a pecking order. When a beastie is big and strong enough to have most of the other males under him, he is ready to take on the old man. If he wins the fight, he gets to mate with the females of his choice (and they will mate only with him). Tannen has found that human males behave in exactly the same way. She discussed the research of Marjorie Goodwin, who studied boys in Philadelphia for a year and a half. She found that boys give orders as a way of gaining social status. The high status boys gave orders just to maintain their dominance, not because they particularly needed the thing done. And the boys who were being told what to do were low status, by virtue of doing what they were told. There are two levels to look at when explaining causes of deviance, micro level and macro level, each level has a different focus. I think that all of the theories are helpful in explaining the causes of deviance, but I find the differential association theory to be most insightful. Edwin Sutherland developed the differential association theory in the 1930 s. The differential association theory includes nine different propositions, which explain the causes of deviance. Differential association is defined as, social interactions with deviant as opposed to conventional others (601). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This excess fluid or congestion is where the term congestive heart failure comes from. Right sided failure is often a result of left sided failure. When the left side fails, increased fluid pressure develops in the lungs and damages the heart s right side. When pumping power is lost in the right side, blood backs up in the veins causing swelling in the legs and ankles. The heart tries to make up for loss of pumping capacity in three ways enlarging, developing more muscle mass, and pumping faster. By enlarging, the heart contracts more strongly and pumps more blood. When the contracting cells of the heart increase in size, an increase in muscle mass also occurs. Pumping faster helps to increase the heart s output. The body also does other things to help compensate for the loss in power in the heart. Blood vessels narrow to keep the blood pressure up. The body diverts the majority of the blood to the heart and the brain. Eventually the heart can t keep up and the person will suffer from fatigue, breathing problems or various other symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, loss of appetite, nausea, confusion, or increased heart rate. Decisions like these are made based on critical thinking skills that are not inherited but developed through many years of training both of the mind and of one s thought processes. Understanding how thinking occurs and analyzing the thought processes are steps that critical thinkers use on a daily basis (Paul Elder, 2012). In addition, according to Celuch Slama (2000), critical thinking is essential to lifelong learning and is developed through improved reasoning and communication skills. Oftentimes, reasoning and thinking are used interchangeably; however, reasoning represents the higher order thinking skills (Paul Elder, 2012). Accordingly, thinking can be conscious or unconscious; however, reasoning is always conscious and requires logic (Difference Between Thinking and Reasoning, 2016). Understanding the eight elements of reasoning associated with developing intellectual traits, is important for critical thinking (Paul Elder, 2012). Reasoning always has a purpose which in turn is the goal or objective of the thought (Paul Elder, 2012). Developing a budget for Christmas shopping to prevent overspending is an example of reasoning with a purpose. Questioning or trying to figure out a problem is another element of reasoning (Celuch Slama, 1999). Asking ourselves questions, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
