When Mia was only two years old, her parents noticed that she was not up to speed with other
children her age. This discovery led her to the genetics department at A.I. DuPont Children s
Hospital. For a child with developmental delays, I only saw that she lit up the room with her
energy and friendly nature, which made me fall in love with her as she explored the room. While

she makes various statements about these personal relationships throughout her novel Pride and
Prejudice. In Pride and Prejudice, two sisters who come from a somewhat disrespected family
embark on separate journeys where they find true love. Jane, the eldest sister of the Bennet family,

What I learned in this handedness experiment, was how many people are not left handed. People
s family s in the class had 14% lefties. I didn t think lefties were that rare. There was a higher
percentage of 22% in my class. What surprised me the most was that there was on average 9%
lefties at our school. We had only collected 525 people which isn t even half, but it gives you a
rough idea. There was an average of 10% lefties and 90% righties. I learned that different cultures

perceived as a snail shell.
However, some technical elements that I didn t like was the dark blue long fabric and the blue
see through long fabric used in the set when Frog and Toad are swimming in the pond and when
Toad looks for Frog on and island. These fabrics and the way they are handled look very tacky
and poor quality. It would have made it better if the fabric was not see through and if the people
behind the bushes or rocks that were moving the fabric, to make it appear as if the water were
moving, moved the long fabrics more fluently, and not in a jerky manner.
The set was changed very effectively throughout the play. I liked how every time the curtains
were put down, there was a either a solo or miniature performance in the front or just music to
distract the audience for a quick second while the set was being rearranged. I felt like that helped
the play flow because it didn t stop at every scene, distract the audience, and unengage them from

For as long as I can remember, My Meme has been one of the most intelligent and godly people I
know. She and my Pawpaw helped my single mother raise me and my two sisters. They played a
huge part in turning me into the person I am today. Whether it was something that you needed to
know or when you were feeling down, Meme was there. She was a librarian and a teacher for
decades and everyone of her former students I ve met talk about how she was their favorite. Meme
was also the first to send out birthday or get well letters to members of our church, friends, and
family. A few years ago, she started to act a little strange and ditzy. At first we just thought she was
getting goofy in her old age, but as time went on, things got worse.
At first, she stopped recognizing little things like food being spoiled or the smell of gas. One
day, I came into Meme and Pawpaw s house and the air reeked of gas. Meme had unknowingly
left the gas stove on, unlit. I turned it off and cleared the air by opening up some doors and
windows. Soon we began to recognize that Meme was showing signs of Alzheimers. Eventually
we couldn t have candles in the house and we had to take the keys to Meme s car. My Pawpaw s
sight physical condition wouldn t allow him to drive, but my Meme couldn t understand why we

In society there has to be a guideline something that regulates the conduct of people toward each
other. Just think of it in smaller terms, in a family environment. Mother and Father establish rules
by which children have to abide.
For example, when parents tell their children that they cannot scream and yell at each other they
are establishing with their children some (very important) protocol. It regulates the behavior of the
children and as much is a huge factor in why positive protocol is so important. The conduct
between people in a society is better because of it. Since the children from the above example
establish guidelines not to scream and yell at each other, they in turn become more effective
communicators. This positions the children to contribute on a greater level later in life.
On a larger scale it sets the stage for an environment where that behavior is something that is not
desirable, therefore creating a new norm.
We can also take a stance here at the importance of protocol in an academic setting. It

My Experience Of College Writing In High School
High School:
The light grey, concrete building rose from the ground, looking like something out of a dystopian
novel. I was rapidly approaching Herter Hall, where my dreaded College Writing class would take
place, with an overwhelming urge to turn around. I was so anxious because up until my first
semester at college, writing had been synonymous with pure stress. In all of my previous writing
classes, I was either assigned literary analysis papers, or papers on the same controversial issues
(gun control or the death penalty). Furthermore, I was always instructed to follow a very specific
format, which made my essays very repetitive. After four years of writing nearly the same essay, I
had become very frustrated because my creativity and perspective was being confined. Despite
my hatred for the class, I considered myself to be a decent writer. Seldom did I get lower than an
A on an essay in high school, and most teachers gave me praise for my insightful analysis. That
being said, I knew college writing would be more difficult than high school, and I was nervous
because I severely lacked revision skills. In the past, I would become very partial to my writing
and turned a blind eye to poor sentence structure, organization, or style choices. As a result, my
essays were generally only looked over for grammatical errors.
