This document provides an overview of APA citation and formatting style. It discusses the key elements of an APA title page including the running head and abstract. It also covers how to format the first page of the paper with the running head and page numbers. Guidelines are provided for doing in-text citations for one author and multiple authors, including when to include page numbers. The document also reviews how to format references for articles with and without DOIs as well as formatting guidelines for the references page. Finally, it notes differences for using APA style in PowerPoint and provides resources for additional help.

12. A Word About PowerPoint
You cannot do an APA style title page or running head on
PowerPoint slides. For in-text citations, follow the rules for
Word. For the References page, do a References slide
instead. The other rules for the References page still
apply.
