This document provides a tutorial guide for using ANSYS Fluent to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer in a mixing elbow. It discusses setting up a Fluent fluid flow analysis in ANSYS Workbench, including creating the geometry in DesignModeler, meshing in ANSYS Meshing, and setting boundary conditions and solving in Fluent. It also covers duplicating the analysis to compare results from different geometries, and performing a parametric analysis in Workbench to analyze multiple design points in Fluent and postprocess results in CFD-Post. Finally, it introduces how to set up and solve a similar fluid flow problem directly in the Fluent interface without using Workbench.

This work a comparative study of the methods of analysis of stress in vessel/nozzle, due to external loads. The
methods of analysis compared are WRC 107, WRC 297 and Method of Finite Elements. To make the
comparison between the methods, one model of nozzle has been developed without reinforcement plate. In this
nozzle it was applied external loads and after the application of the loads, compared the results of stress for the
three methods of analyses considered in this study.

Altair constantly develops and enriches its CFD offering. Today with AcuSolve, a Navier-Stokes based solver, and ultraFluidX, utilizing a Lattice Boltzmann approach, Altair is providing a broad CFD solution allowing customers to choose the best approach for their applications.
This workshop illustrates the strong capabilities of AcuSolve for external aerodynamics, thermal analysis and multi-physics applications like fluid-structure interaction (FSI) or coupling with a multi-body dynamics (MBD) solver.
On the other hand, ultraFluidX allows to perform transient external aerodynamics simulations of production car geometries within a few hours on a single workstation leveraging GPU technology. Low surface mesh requirements and the integrated automatic volume meshing yield fast turnaround times during the development process. Both CFD solvers can be accessed via the Virtual Wind Tunnel, a dedicated software for external aerodynamic analyses.
