• Good farming conditions made it easy to feed
large numbers of people.
• It was easy for people to move from place to
place.

They used writing to edit the law.
The Hammurabi Code consists of 282 laws
If anyone commits a robbery and
is caught, then they shall be put to
death.
If a man destroys the eye of another
man, they shall destroy his eye. If one
breaks a man's bone, they shall break
his bone.
If a boy strikes his father they would
cut off the boy's hand or fingers .

Greece. The Games were part of a
religious festival.. The Games were held
in honour of Zeus, king of the gods, and
were staged every four years at
Olympia, a valley near a city called Elis.
People from all over the Greek world
came to watch and take part. The
modern Olympic Games begun in 1896
