Ancient Greece was located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in Europe. The Greeks farmed, fished, and traded by sea as their main occupations. They developed direct democracy and held the Olympic games every four years to honor the gods. Greek architecture used columns and arches in temples dedicated to worshipping gods, with the largest being the Parthenon.
