Greek architecture and temples greatly influenced later architectural styles like Neoclassical and Renaissance. There was competition among Greek city-states to build the most beautiful temples. Greeks developed three main styles of columns to support buildings and adjusted their dimensions to appear properly proportioned from a distance.
Foods central to Greek cuisine like olives, herbs, garlic, and lemons were influenced by history and religion. Meat was rarely eaten and fish/seafood more popular due to the soil's lack of fertility except near coasts where rotation/irrigation was used to grow crops like olives, grapes, and figs. Wheat was grown in plains for bread.

1. GREECE
Greek Architecture has influenced all
architectural movements across the
world, an example is Neoclassical and
Reaissance. There was a competition
going on between city states for which Greece is surronded by water which means its peninsula
could have the most beautiful temples.
There were three types of columns
invented by the Greeks. Columns were
put on a building to support it,and were
adjusted in angle, footage, and size to look
perfect if someone was looking from far
away.
2. Foods like olives, herbs, garlic, and lemons are
seasonings or main ingredients in a lot of Greek
dishes. History has played a very big role in
Greek dishes, one way it influenced their food
and so did religion. Greeks only ate meat after it
had been sacrificed to a God. The soil in Greece
was not fertile by the coast, greeks used rotation
and irrigation to fix the problem. People grew
olives, grapes, and figs
in Plains they grew wheat to make bread . Meat
was rarely eaten instead fish and seafood were
popular.
The work on the Parthenon began in 447 BC. It
was built on the Acropolis and replaced a temple
that was destroyed by the Persians. The
buildings name probably came from a statue of
Athena Parthenos which is in the eastern room of
the building. The building was sculpted by
Phidias Ictinus and Callicrates were the
architects, and was it was built out of ivory and
gold. It was dedicated to Athena who the Greeks
said gave them an olive tree and was the city
patron goddess. This rectangular building
measures 237 feet long ,110 feet wide , and 60
feet tall. There are a total of three rooms in the
Parthenon, the main room was called the cella
next had a statue of Athena and, the last was the
treasury . When the Venetians tried
unsuccessfully tried to conquer Greece the
Parthenon was badly damaged , the remains of
the sculpture are now located in the Acropolis
Museum in Athens and the British Museum in
London.
