The document analyzes drinking water quality in Mehrabpur Taluka, Naushero Feroze district in Sindh, Pakistan. Three water samples were collected from different wards and analyzed for pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), and electric conductivity (EC). Sample 1 from Ward 1 had a pH of 7.8, TDS of 1260, and EC of 3.7. Sample 2 from Ward 2 had a pH of 7.2, TDS of 1050, and EC of 3.0. Sample 3 from Ward 3 had a pH of 7.5, TDS of 980, and EC of 2.5. The pH and TDS levels of all samples exceeded WHO

Water is very essential for all form of life, but it is also important for raw material of
economic goods. the water of oceans ,seas ,lakes ,and river is regularly evaporating due to
heat of sun ,this water evaporate then later condense in clouds and return to earth as rain
,snow ,hail, sleet ,or dew . It mixed with gasses fromatmosphere and minerals from dust
particle present in atmosphere .the earth is only planet in solar system which have
abundant water .the human being and other living like plant and animal are totally depend
on water .
The purpose of work is to analysis three sample of water of taluka mehrabpur by there
(TDS )tottal dissolved salt (EC) electric conductivity (pH) alkanity and basisty
The major source of drinking water of mehrabpur city is ground water or underground
water through the hand pump and tube wells
there are many industries like cotton and soap located in this city these industries mostly
utilize large quantity of different chemical and there is no any proper procedure for removal
of this harmful material . The industry mostly discarded their waste improperly and there is

no proper plan .such waste is possible for contamination of drinking water by the different
sources

with international standard such as(WHO) so that investigation have provided us a good
information about quality of drinking water of mehrabpur city and its health effect

We are converting rivers to sewers. We are reclaiming the land of the river. This photo presentation illustrates each of these ways we kill our rivers. It also narrates the fight of a few people to save a small stream, Devnadi, in Baner in Pune. Performance of EcoSan Toilets at Majumbasita in Dar Es Salaam – Tanzania

The performance of Ecological Sanitation (ECOSAN) toilets at Majumbasita-Ukonga in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania was studied in order to assess their feasibility for low cost and effective environmental protection. The studied parameters for urine were pH, TKN, phosphorus , potassium and E-coli and for faecal sludge were temperature, pH, TS, VS, COD , TKN, ammonium, phosphorus, potassium and Ascaris eggs. Results indicated a high pH up to 10.3 in the faecal contents due to addition of ashes. The temperatures were between 270C – 31.70C during the whole study period. The total COD measurements varied from 33 - 74 gCOD/l, while TS and VS were respectively 57– 81 gTS/l and 21 – 46 gVS/l. The results for TKN, ammonium, phosphorus and potassium in faecal sludge were 5045 – 6080mg/L, 5207-5852 mg/L, 29-70mg/L and 105-176 mg/L, respectively. Ascaris eggs were efficiently removed from faecal sludge that were strictly dry and had a pH of more than 10. The results for TKN, ammonium, phosphorus and potassium in urine were 4285-5010 mg/L, 111-195 mg/L and 190-251 mg/L, respectively. E-Coli were present in urine with pH less than 11.5 and were efficiently removed from urine with pH more than 11.5. Presence of pathogens in urine implies the separated urine can be reused in tree growing and not for fertilising food crops consumed raw.

Lake water is an important source for drinking, domestic and irrigation purposes in rural and urban India. The present study aims at evaluating the water quality of various lakes in Raipur city, Chhatisgarh. There existed 154 lakes in the city but it shrinked to 85 in number due to encroachment or drying up of lakes. Twenty seven prominent lakes are selected to study and evaluate the water quality for drinking and irrigation purposes. The water samples were collected and analysed for pH, Turbidity, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Alkalinity, Hardness, Sodium(Na+), Potassium(K+), Calcium(Ca2+), Magnesium(Mg2+), Bicarbonate(HCO3-), Sulphate (SO42-), Nitrate (NO3−),Phosphate(PO43-) Fluoride(F-), Chloride (Cl−), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Total Coliform (TC) and Fecal Coliform (FC). There are variations for pH (6.59-8.29), EC (382-2330μS/cm), Turbidity (1-232 NTU), TDS (244-1491 mg/L), Alkalinity (120-600 mg/L), Hardness (66-330mg/L), Na+(37-430 mg/L), K+ (8-253 mg/L), Ca2+ (9-90 mg/L), Mg2+(3-26 mg/L), SO42- (5-200 mg/L), NO3-(0-19 mg/L), PO43-(0.19-5.3 mg/L), F-(0.18-1.41 mg/L) and Cl- (46-388 mg/L), DO(1-8.6 mg/L), BOD (0.1-11.3 mg/L), COD (8-118 mg/L), Total Coliform( 15-3600 MPN/100ml) and Fecal Coliform (4-240 MPN/100 ml). The results have been compared with the drinking water standard prescribed by Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS). All the physiochemical parameters are within the prescribed limit except turbidity, fecal & total coliform. The Sodium Adsorption Ratio (SAR) and salinity hazards are studied to classify the water for irrigation uses. It is found that lake water is suitable for irrigation purposes.

Irrigation Water Quality Assessment for Water Resources used in Irrigation of...

Agriculture Journal IJOEAR

This study was conducted for irrigation water quality assessment of water resources used in irrigation of agricultural fields in Mezitli town of Mersin province. Water samples were taken from 20 sampling points of surface water resources used for irrigations in irrigated farming lands of Mezitli town in 4 sampling periods (July-October). Samples were analyzed for pH, EC, water-soluble cations (Ca, Mg, Na, K) and anions (CO 3, HCO 3, Cl and SO 4), boron, %Na, SAR and RSC. Sample pH values varied between 7,05-8,26 and EC values varied between 292-1103 µmhos/cm. According to US Salinity Lab Classification System, irrigation waters were classified as C 2 S 1 and C 3 S 1 (moderately and highly saline waters). Boron concentrations of all samples were below the threshold value of 0,67 ppm. Significant differences were not observed in water quality parameters throughout the irrigation season.

Purandar Lift Irrigation scheme is on Mula-Mutha River near Pune in India envisaged to supply 4 TMC of water to drought prone area of Purandar, Daund, Haveli & Baramati. It is observed that the raw water quality available near source is far below the acceptable limits for surface water irrigation. The farmers are raising objections for supply of raw water for irrigation purpose. The main reason for the reluctance of the farmers in using available river water is undesirable organic & in organic impurities, blackish green color & obnoxious smell of water. The chemical analysis results indicate that BOD (Biological Oxidation Demand) & COD (Chemical Oxidation Demand) values of the river water used for irrigation purpose are above permissible limits. Our main aim in the project was to find out whether the polluted water of the river would have any long term environmental effects on the soil and ground water of the Saswad-Purandar area. For this purpose we conducted several site visits to check the extent of pollution of the river water at different locations. We tested soil & ground water samples of the area where lifted water is used for irrigation. We also suggested low cost treatmentaerated facultative lagoons to treat the river water.

Abstract: Determining the origin of groundwater are closely related to conservation and renewable groundwater resources. Research on the source of groundwater recharge would be based on a theoretical approach, the statistical methods Principle Component Analysis and mass-balanced mixing models. Both of these methods will be tested using secondary data naturally occurring isotope of water, deuterium and oxygen-18, and ions major cations and anions in the aquifer distressed over (depth of the well between 40 dan140 meters). Source recharge ground water to be tested consists of three sources that recharge rainwater, river water and ground water. This study aims to determine the ratio of the source of groundwater recharge using statistical methods and mass balance-mixing models. Where tracer affix source water using natural isotope parameters. In this study, physical and chemical parameters of water contained in the data of ground water, river water and rainwater are used to determine the origin or source of ground water recharge. The results of mass balance calculation-mixing models using parameters 1H or δD and pH, to a rate of groundwater recharge source for the location of T3, T4, T6 and T13 are as follows: 43% of riverwater, 33% rainwater and 23% groundwater. Research on the ratio of recharge sources provide some information about water sources that contribute to groundwater recharge in Jakarta and surrounding areas. There are two sources that recharge rainwater and river water Bogor area near the location of groundwater. Physical development is carried out in the Bogor area will result in reduced water that seeps into the groundwater, it will bring a reduced impact to the aquifer water supply in Jakarta.

In the present work water samples are collected from six different Ghats of Ganga river in Kanpur city from March 2010 to February 2011 on monthly basis and water quality assessment is carried out. Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) value is determined using correlation matrix to identify the highly correlated and interrelated water quality parameters. To test the significance of the pair of parameters p-value is carried out and in order to test the joint effects of several independent variables, without frequent or repeated monitoring of water quality in a location. Higher concentration of Chromium (6.7 mg/l) at Siddhnath ghat in June, and its monthly variation showed highly adverse effect on river Ganga due to tanneries effluent. It is found that significant positive correlation holds for Temp vs BOD GH1 (r= 0.99, p<0.01),><0.01),><0.01);><0.01),><0.01),><0.01).><0.01),><0.01),><0.01). Chromium is found that non significant correlation. The mean values of all the measured physico-chemical parameters of Ganga river water are within the highest desirable limit set by WHO except BOD.

Because their attitudes are sensitive and highly important for water. Water is a great bestowal of nature. This lively liquid is essential for human survival and for their primary secondary and tertiary activities. The present study deals with the assessment of groundwater quality levels for human, industrial and agricultural use of Sargodha city Punjab Pakistan. The assessment based on water quality analysis of different water parameters like Electrical conductivity, alkalinity, calcium, chloride, hardness, magnesium, Total dissolve Solids, turbidity, Sulfate etc. The water for domestic use must be free from turbidity and the drinking water should be odor free. Color less and good test or test less. The harmful micro-organism should not be in the water. The assessment of water quality highly fluctuates in the study area. Water quality parameters are mostly unsafe for drinking and agricultural purposes in central part of the city which is highly built up. While it may use for some types of industries but in surrounding areas quality of water is much better for drinking, agricultural and industrial use. Although overall water quality are unsafe for human use while very few areas have safe water for human drinking and domestic use agriculture also require less dissolve solids water but there are some crops to resist with high solids. Water may use for industries after purifying. Quality Criteria for Agricultural usage: Elements that makes water suitable or unsuitable for agricultural purposes or for irrigation are amount of silt, total salt concentration, relative properties of sodium to the other cations like calcium and magnesium, bicarbonate content and concentration of toxic element such as boron. Quality Criteria for Live Stock usage: Mainly total dissolved solids and concentration of toxic elements checked for livestock usage. Quality Criteria for Industrial usage: Water quality changed with the type of industry for example Pharmaceutical and paper industry demand of water is purest but in mining industry it is not required purest water. A medium quality of water is used for mining industry.

The popularity of functional foods among scientists and common people has been increasing day by day. Awareness and modernization make the consumer think better regarding food and nutrition. Now a day’s individual knows very well about the relation between food consumption and disease prevalence. Humans have a diversity of microbes in the gut that together form the gut microflora. Probiotics are the health-promoting live microbial cells improve host health through gut and brain connection and fighting against harmful bacteria. Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus are the two bacterial genera which are considered to be probiotic. These good bacteria are facing challenges of viability. There are so many factors such as sensitivity to heat, pH, acidity, osmotic effect, mechanical shear, chemical components, freezing and storage time as well which affects the viability of probiotics in the dairy food matrix as well as in the gut. Multiple efforts have been done in the past and ongoing in present for these beneficial microbial population stability until their destination in the gut. One of a useful technique known as microencapsulation makes the probiotic effective in the diversified conditions and maintain these microbe’s community to the optimum level for achieving targeted benefits. Dairy products are found to be an ideal vehicle for probiotic incorporation. It has been seen that the encapsulated microbial cells show higher viability than the free cells in different processing and storage conditions as well as against bile salts in the gut. They make the food functional when incorporated, without affecting the product sensory characteristics.

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

The purpose of work is to analysis three sample of water of taluka mehrabpur by there (TDS )tottal dissolved salt (EC) electric conductivity (pH) alkanity and basisty The major source of drinking water of mehrabpur city is ground water or underground water through the hand pump and tube wells there are many industries like cotton and soap located in this city these industries mostly utilize large quantity of different chemical and there is no any proper procedure for removal of this harmful material .
