- IFC is an open and neutral form of digital data used to exchange information in the built asset industry. The IFC is intended to allow users to openly share digital information to address their work flow requirements. buildingSMART is the body through which the IFC was created and is being developed ISO SC13 /TF02 working group

- Framing. Last two years. Strategy & business organisation has been necessary. This is ongoing including the very important aligning chapter work, intranet development (of which more on Thursday) and the new Standards Committee technical committee. However big issue now is output focussed. Knowing the Value proposition & how we get people involved. Come back to roadmap, with you as keen individuals and corporates about what their core priorities are. Learning from OGC about how to go about the work content and how to involve corporate sponsors. Taking forward surveying thing, MVD program of work….. Software vendors pointing out the need to get the certification going. So what does that mean now as priority. All this structure is vital because without it we won't have the confidence to get people to join us. Top down (M Bew) vs bottom up road map discussion. Need both. Focus on what is within our control, which is to focus on the bottom up route. Putting emphasis on project structuring to engage with a broader set of sponsors. Mention that new SAC member in Arup. Bit of a profile on Arup. Solibri, Co Builder and Trafikverket. Introduce Mikael, John and Greg as speakers. Summarise discussion with M Beavan. High level overview of the work programme. What stage they are the activities at. Standards completed since Watford, MVDs Alignment 1.0, BCF API Value proposition - clearer technical road map, bundling into to packages to drive specific needs / commercial agendas, certification
