Clinic Manual
When did you read the clinic manual for the first time? How often have you re read one or more
sections? I read the clinic manual for the first time when it was handed out the first day of clinic
classes. I have re read various clinic manual sections about five to ten times throughout the semester.
I referenced the manual when looking up the proper guidelines for work product guidelines.
Have you entered all of your time in CLIO by the Monday deadline every week? If not, why not?
(e.g., were you unaware of the deadline? See Clinic Manual, Standard Operating Procedures. I

This is opposed to becoming too narrowly focused on a potential legal issues. Further, the
opportunity to sit in on PAA board meetings for the purpose of documenting minutes has allowed
me to better document the important facts from case law and summarizing issues.
Have your written communication skills improved? What has been your best piece of written
work so far this semester? Yes. My best pieces of work will be shown through my PAA Board
Minutes submissions and PAA Conflict of Interest Policy.
Have you developed your problem solving abilities this semester? What can you do to improve this
critical legal skill in the remainder of the semester? Yes. I could improve my critical legal skills
set further by continuing the birds eye approach of research. This allows me to look at a wider
array of potential legal issues opposed to becoming to narrow minded on my preconceived notions.
Do you anticipate having any difficulty meeting your time commitment to the clinic? No I don t.
Because the PAA workload requires many hours, I don t see myself missing my logged hours
requirements.
On average, how much time have you spent in week on clinic or client work? Have you ever felt
like you wanted more clinic work but it was not available? If so, have you sought additional

The Impact Of Internet On The Level Of Competition
The ways in which the internet will affect the level of competition in this industry and for this case
include the following;
Cost Reduction
In the previous years, the film industry in Japan used to make use of many employees in the
production process. That means that the company spends a lot of money in paying for labor. With
the availability of the internet, there are animated pictures that are found on the internet and can be
used for the film production industry. That means that the number of employees who are used in
production will be reduced. The company will also be able to work in a fast way. That means that
the wages that were paid to the drawer over the three months of production will be drastically
reduced (Gardner, and Howard, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Availability of High Skilled Staff
With the availability of the internet, the companies in the film production industry will be able to
advertise for job vacancies via the internet. Internet adverts usually go wide and broad. That
means that the companies will have a wide variety of staff to select. That means they will get the
best skills from all over the world. Availability of skilled labor will lead to more innovations in the
company, and that will result in company efficiency. Availability of efficient staff usually leads to
increased efficiency that cuts on the costs of the company (Bartlett, Ghoshal, 140).
From the above advantages of the use of the internet, then to is evident that it will be the next big
thing that brings about competition. Companies should invest in technology so that they can
benefit from the advantages that accrue from the use of technology. With a rapidly growing
technological environment, it is advisable for companies to invest more in technology and that will
be their biggest source of competitive advantage (Due, 56).
Strategies That Can Be Adopted
Every organization should have laid down strategies that will help in the achievement of the goals
of a company. The first thing for a company is to set up its goals. The goals will help in
determining the strategy that will be used in a company. A company

The Problem Of Evil By John Leslie Mackie
The Problem of Evil by John Leslie Mackie is a philosophical argument that discusses the logical
paradoxes and impossibilities of God s existence. Written in 1955, it details how Mackie believes
that because God is represented as an omnipotent (perfectly powerful) and omnibenevolent (wholly
good) being, evil cannot exist and thus neither can God. I will explain those paradoxes and defend
Mackie s argument, but I shall will question the justification of his claims to God s existence. I
shall also provide and discuss three theistic objections to the problem of evil, both adequate and
fallacious.
The Problem of Evil as characterized by J. L. Mackie can be summarised in three points:
1.God is omnipotent
2.God is omnibenevolent
3.Evil ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Suffering of any kind would inherently constrain God s omnibenevolence and omnipotence
because it implies that God chose not to, or could not, erase all suffering from existence. A
theologian like Hume would argue that ...the existence of pain and disease makes possible the
existence of sympathy, benevolence, heroism, and the gradually successful struggle of doctors
and reformers to overcome these evils (1955, p.206) This may be true, but God s benevolence
would not enable him to allow pain and disease to exist as it is considered morally wrong.
Therefore, God s omnibenevolence is limited because he allows evil to continue but that does not
mean he cannot

Conagra Foods
Abstract
I will be giving you a background of both ConAgra Foods Inc. and the Hanover Bakery to get a
better handle on the issues that are currently at hand. ConAgra Foods Hanover Bakery is currently
dealing with three major cost issues waste, oven temperature regulation, and the warehouse
department. This paper will be focusing on just one cost issue that is in the warehouse departments.
The warehouse department is currently dealing with a $4 5 million cost in Integrated Mixing
Centers in York and Milton. This is hurting the plant s case fill rate due to lost product, damaged
product, and shorting customer orders. Another cost issue deals with production but affects the
warehouse because of space constraints. This cost issue plays a role in ... Show more content on

The reasons they looked at this was to allow finished good space to be at the absolute maximum
level roughly 3,440 rack space as compared to 1,900 rack space. This would allow the annex
building to have all corrugate pallets in it while expanding it would allow for a month s worth
of corrugate to be stored there. In the warehouse there would be a staging area for the corrugate
near the packing room for what production will use throughout the day. The only issue that comes
from this idea is the time it would take for a material handler to receive and deliver a pallet of
corrugate to the packing room. The other issue that comes into play is the township allowing a
catwalk because of water run off to the creek alongside the plant building and the

Iran-Contra Scandal
So I guess in a way they are counter revolutionary, and God bless them for being that way and I
guess that makes them contras, and so it makes me a contra too. In 1979, a bitter war broke out in
Nicaragua between the Sandinista Junta of National Reconstruction, the Nicaraguan government,
and the Contras, a vicious rebel group. The goal of this war was simple, overthrow the Nicaraguan
government and restore freedom for all Nicaraguan citizens. It was this that caught the eye of the
American government and it was not too long before the U.S began to fund the Contras. Although
the United States government funded the contras, they viewed them with skepticism being that
they were extremely controversial.
The U.S president during this time, Ronald Reagan, fell in love with the contras belief system and
fought to keep them funded. Later on the United States support became limited, which left the
president in search of a new way to keep the Contras money flow regular. Soon after, former
president Ronald Reagan and his administrators contrived a way to continue to fund the contras
without the Congress approval. They concluded that selling arms and weapons to a harmless ally
named Iran was the only way to go. They would sell the weapons to Iran in exchange for money,
which would then be put into a secret bank account and sent to the Nicaraguan Contras. This idea
was brilliant but illegal as well, it was high treason. These series of events will forever be known as

Armed Conflict
Armed Conflict
Several similarities exist between the conflict incurred by European settlers with Native
Americans in the depictions of Inca, Garcilaso de la Vega s La Florida del Inca, and Gaspar
Perez de Villagra s Historia de la Nueva Mexico. Excerpts from both works can be found in the
compendium edited by Harold Augnebraum and Magartie Fernandez Olmos entitled The Latino
Reader: Five Centuries of an American Literary Tradition from Cabeza de Vaca to Oscar Hijuelos.
In both narratives, the authors chronicle Spaniards unlawful dispossession of territory that was
previously inhabited by Native Americans. Quite naturally, these natives resisted this early form of
larceny, which oftentimes resulted in an armed conflict between the two disparate groups.
However, it is fairly apparent that both authors viewed this conflict and the appropriation of the
Native Americans land as largely religious matter, which was justified by the sake of Christianity.
The narratives are at variance predominantly in their depiction of the natives during this conflict,
however. Whereas de Villagra s depiction is decidedly less concerned with these natives and their
point of view, Vega frequently takes pains to portray the humanity and dignity of the Native
Americans encountered by the Spanish in Florida. The author s proclivity to do so is exemplified
by his description of the fate of Juan Ortiz, a Spaniard who was captured by Native Americans in
Florida. To illustrate the aggressive, hostile

Zarathustra Nietzsche Overcoming Nausea
Overcoming Nausea
Doubt is an uncomfortable condition, but certainty is a ridiculous one. Voltaire
For many Nietzsche s proclamation of God s death is liberating. No longer shall life be dictated
by groundless superstition; we are now free to judge for ourselves what constitutes a good life.
The adoption of this idea seems to allow for greater degrees of self fulfillment. If this is the case,
why is it that such a large portion of our population still upholds religion? In book four of Thus
Spoke Zarathustra Nietzsche addresses one of the central concerns entailed by the abandonment of
religion. Proceeding his discourses on the higher man Zarathustra temporarily retreats from his
guests. During this time the magician is overcome by what ... Show more content on

The conscientious man then scolds his beguiled peers We seek different things up here, you and
I. For I seek more security, that is why I came to Zarathustra. For he is the firmest tower and will

insecurity: more thrills, more danger, more earthquakes... you desire the most wicked, most
dangerous life of which I am most afraid: the life of wild animals, woods caves, steep mountains,
and labyrinthian gorges... even if such desire in you is real, it still seems impossible to me. For
fear is the original and basic feeling of man; from fear, everything is explicable, original sin and
original virtue. From fear my own virtue too has grown, and it is called science. (p.414). The
conscientious man has taken such issue with others out of a desire for certainty. He hopes that
Zarathustra can teach him truths that will provide secure footing in a confusing world. However,
the others have accepted a life of uncertainty and danger. Attempting to affirm his desires the
conscientious man appeals to fear which he believes to be the most primitive feature of man. He
asserts that everything even science originates from fear. Therefore, his inclination to avoid danger
is virtuous and at the very least

Mental Illness In America Essay
The Stigma of Mental Illness in America I consider myself lucky, lucky that I was able to get
help before it was too late. But most times in America the ones that need help the most are afraid
to get it, and we don t know who they are. It could be your frail, quiet, precise mailman, a
constantly changing, moody friend, your very own nervous anxious boss, the rather aggravated
stranger you pass by on the way to work, maybe even the familiar figure looking back at you in
the mirror. But we don t know, and probably never will because of the stigma that is placed on
mental illness. Nearly 25% of America s population deals with mental illness, and frankly, America
is not helping them. In 2015 we know a lot more about mental illness then we used... Show more

More and more celebrities have been stepping out and telling their story to encourage others to get
the help they need. Each year organizations are formed with one purpose in mind; to gain
awareness on mental illness in order to break the stigma. But is that enough? With the media
exuding this stigma like a parasite slowly affecting its prey. With the news constantly exaggerating
these stories beyond their true happenings. With movies using false notions and writing mentally ill
off as extreme violence, unbearable depressives, exaggerated perfectionists, or insane narcissists
with no in between. It is not enough. No matter how much information and knowledge reaches the
population it is immediately crushed by the media of this generation that benefits and profits from
these false depictions. This very stigma that is seeping from the media is mentally poisoning those
who are actually mentally weak to the degree which they are afraid to get help due to fear of not
wanting anyone to know of their condition and being rejected from society. But not getting help
overtime can build up hostile feelings which will manifest itself in another light, and often as we
have seen in recent news, that light is not very

Mixture Of Unidentified Organic Compounds Lab Report
A couple of mixtures of unidentified organic compounds (a mixture of two liquids and another
mixture of two solid compounds) were obtained, and the compounds of each mixture were then
separated, isolated, and purified. The compounds of the liquid liquid mixture were isolated by
simple distillation, and the compounds in the mixture of solids were extracted by liquidliquid
extraction, and later purified through recrystallization. Physical properties such as boiling points,
melting points, and densities were used to identify each isolated compound. After analysis, the first
liquid was identified by a boiling range of 81.0В°C 81.3В°C and a density of 0.7882g/mL, and the
second liquid was identified by a boiling range of 91.7В°C 91.9В°C and a density of 0.8578 g/mL.
The crude solid products were purified and recrystallized, providing a white crystalline solid (MP =
35.2 37.8 В°C) in 46.9% yield, and a white powdery solid (MP = 121.9 122.1 В°C) in 2.40% yield.

products in chemical experiments, and widely in the oil and petroleum industry. There are a

How Did William Shakespeare Impact His Plays
When you think of historical literature figures William Shakespeare is a preferable playwright to
read about. William Shakespeare was allegedly born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford upon Avon,
Warwickshire, England. Church records from Holy Trinity indicate that he was baptized there on
April 26, 1564. His birthday is thought to be the 23rd because baptism usually occurs a few days
after birth.
Young William was born into a family of eight children, him being the third born. Three of the
eight children died during childhood. William s parents were John Shakespeare, a glover and
leather merchant, and Mary Arden, a local landed heiress.
William Shakespeare s next documented event in his lifetime was the marriage to Anne Hathaway
on November 28, 1582. William was 18 at the time and Anne was 25, seven years his senior. There
was some haste in arranging the ceremony, presumably as Anne was three months pregnant. After
his marriage, Shakespeare left few traces in historical records until he appeared on the London
theatrical scene. The late 1580s are known as his lost years because little ... Show more content on

Shakespeare impacted literature dramatically by writing his plot twisting plays and incredible
poems that were surprising to the world around him at that time. He expanded the expectations on
characterization, plot, language and genre with his complex plays. He impacted theater in his time
by expanding the complexity of plays and his plays seemed more realistic than most. Many
believe that Shakespeare did not invent the words he used in his writing, but that he used the
words he heard. His use of language and twisting plots expanded the interest of literature
exceptionally. The ending of Romeo Juliet is a dramatic plot twist because it features both Romeo
and Juliet dying. This is surprising because the story is about the love between two fictional

Essay Robert Altmans Nashville
Nashville Essay
Robert Altman s movie Nashville is based on the political, social, and personal problems that our
country has to deal with. These problems are rooted in the battle between the need to create some
false image of success and the need for truth which is the struggle that exists in every character of
this film (except Jeff Goldbloom). To show this Robert Altman takes us through Nashville s
Country Music using political commentary, music and realistically portrayed dialogue to tell the
story.
Altman portrayed politics as sort of a parasite feeding off of the Nashville dream. He used
acousmatic sound in two ways to portray these parasitic politics. The first way is the use of the
Hall Walker van which was an almost a surreal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Altman also uses dialogue in a similar manor. The nature of dialogue itself is solely for creating
and upholding the self image of the Nashville Star weather you are one or not. The conversations
never get passed the surface issues, and no one ever speaks their mind unless it s safe. But, the
reality of each character is very real and deep due to the way the dialogue was set up. Most of
the people were frivolous so in order to add some depth and reveal their true character Altman
had to make the dialogue as realistic as possible. The dialogue seemed almost unrehearsed or not
planned at all which gives it its reality. The most odious example of this is when the Hal Walker
representative is arguing about the political sign with Barbra Gene s husband at Centennial Park.
He slips on his line in the heat of the argument. I don t know if this was intentional or not, but I
think they chose to keep it in the movie because it seemed to be more true to reality than just a
smooth flowing argument that would normally be in a movie. The little slip gave way, for the first
time, a vulnerable side to the Hal Walker rep or even politics for that matter.
There is also another form of acousmatic, and it is the subtle comments of the crowd. Because there
are so many appearances and performances the crowd reaction becomes very important to the
context of the story from an outside critical standpoint. Putting these comments together creates one

To Shoot Hard Labour 2 Summary
The story To Shoot Hard Labor 2 is the continuation of the first book To Shoot Hard Labor which
recounts the life and times of Samuel Papa Sammy Smith, a hard working Antiguan man who lived
from 1877 1982. The book was written by Keithlyn and Fernando Smith continuing with their
journey portraying the story of life in the plantation in Antigua not long after slavery. The story tells
how the ex slaves defended themselves with pride and their symbol of freedom. How the
planters finally accomplished in erasing, nearly without a trace, the symbol of the free people,
and how they were forced to go back to the plantation. The new To Shoot Hard Labour 2 gives more
detail of lives of black people in western world and Caribbean as a whole. This new book likewise
brings a clearer understanding of the everyday life of our people as they endeavor to defeat
colonialism, slavery and other contemporary issues. The book also expresses about the sort of

The French Revolution And The Revolution Of The Late 1700 S
The American Revolution, along with many revolutions occurring throughout Central America,
were all directly inspired by the French Revolution of the late 1700 s. Evidence of this can be
seen simply by looking back at world history. History shows that many philosophies of the
American Revolution were actually ideas that either closely parallel or are directly taken from the
writing of various French scholars, such as Voltaireand The Baron De Montesquieu. The very
essence of American politics, Democracy, is in actuality, a French concept as well. Democracy was
originally created following the French Revolutionto replace the Monarchy. Voltaire, who was born
Francois Marie Arouet, was a French revolutionary thinker. (Voltaire, 1) He is

Among many other controversial topics, (Opposition of organized religion and a non literal

Freedom of Speech, another constitutional pillar of American society. Voltaire was once credited
with saying I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend your right to say it until

opposed the Catholic Church along with many other forms of organized religion, (Mastin, 1)
even going so far as to address the Islamic prophet Mohammed as a Fanatic. (Voltaire, 135)
Voltaire eventually passed away in Paris after returning for the first time in over twenty years
after falling ill in late May of 1778. Despite his passing, he was not shown any sympathy from the
Catholic Church. After passing, the church denied the many pleas of his family and friend for a

vicious grudge, as Voltaire himself was reportedly spiteful to the church even on his deathbed.

Table of Figures
Introduction
Originally proposed in 1945 as the result of a commission from the Minister of Reconstruction,
Raoul Daputry, Unite d` Habitation is one of the most singular achievements of Le Corbusier`s late
career. With the help of the engineer Francois de Pierrefeu, Le Corbusieraspired to civil
engineering scale in a way that transcends the normative dimensions of a typical medium rise slab
block.
Concept
Unite d`habitation from Marseille was designed to host 16000 people to live in a single slab.

Structure
The structure of Unite is based on the Five Points of Architecture manifesto: pilotis, a flat roof
garden, ribbon windows, an open plan and free facade.
The building is supported on massive pilotis, 17 pairs of concrete stilts, in order to allow for
circulation, unencumbering the ground not only for pedestrians and cars but also for green
space. With long connection corridors in the center of the structure, socializing and living rooms are
placed away from noise. In the structure, thin exterior walls are enabled by the free facade. Unite
windows were designed to run along the hall, cutting the façade along its entire length and
lighting the room equally.
Rendered in massive, in site reinforced concrete construction, it was elevated on a bridge like
platform that with its battered cantilevered sides was supported by giant, tapering Egyptoid pilotis,
also made of rough boarded concrete. The whole resembles, but at a much more monumental scale,
the monolithic reinforced concrete down stand beams and cantilevered deck carrying the steel
superstructure of the Pavilion Suisse.
Le Corbusier Unite Marseille design represents the starting point of Corbusier s architectural
signature.

A Research Study On Quantitative Research
A Quantitative Research Study Overview

Introduction As we continue our discussion in comparing qualitative versus quantitative research,
we now focus our attention on quantitative research. In my personal opinion, I feel that quantitative
research is harder to understand but breaking the article into sections allows me to understand the
basic concepts. This week we will examine and in discuss a quantitative research article. The name
of the article is First time mothers: social support, maternal parental self efficacy and postnatal
depression written by authors Leahy Warren, McCarthy, Corcoran in 2011. First, I take a look at

However, there is little research that provides a clear definition of what is meant by social
support (Leahy Warren et el, 2009). In other words, there is no research which has measured the
relationship between social support and maternal parental self efficacy using a domain specific
instrument developed and supported by self efficacy model and post natal depression with first
time mothers at six weeks post delivery
(Leahy Warren et el, 2009)
Maternal Parental Self Efficacy and Depression By now, some of you may be asking the same
question that I had when I first started reading this article. What is meant by maternal parental
self efficacy and post natal depression? It is important to understand these two definitions in order
to understand the article. Maternal parental self efficacy is a belief that a parent holds about
themselves in terms of being able to care for and parent a child (Leahy Warren et el, 2009). These
includes the ability to plan, organize, and execute actions in order to produce the desire results with
the belief that there is a strong correlation between the age of the mother and the number of children
(Leah Warren et el, 2009).
I can t help to think about my own experience as a mother as I read this article. I am a single
mother of six children and I can say that my confidence grew more as I

New Financial Institutions Of The United States Financial...
New Financial Institutions
Restrictions on the number of new financial services institutions allowed to enter the industry each
year are needed to protect the integrity and stability of consumers cash and deposits, as well as
outstanding loans and credit. Although many are private companies, financial institutions have a
very public purpose, which is why federal regulations are needed. The safety and security of the
financial institution is an important part of the overall financial system. Federal guidelines with
capital structure requirements and market entry limits protect consumers from losing their money
or assets to institutions who are not adequately funded to maintain business through times of
financial downturn (Northeast Decision Sciences Institute, 2013). Barriers to entry in the United
States financial services industry is needed and necessary to protect the American consumer and the
American financial market from both foreign and domestic financial services companies.
Regulating the entry of new financial services companies, whether foreign or domestic based, also
helps establish a level playing field for new and existing companies within the regulatory system
(McDonough, 1993).
Conversely, open entry to the financial services industry would increase market competition among
all institutions. This would help keep all financial services companies striving for new products and
technology advances in order to maintain and grow their market share. Regulations that

John Lennon s Influence On American Culture
The Beatles does the name ring a bell? All You Need is Love , Hey Jude ? The four members,

antiwar activist and a musical legend.
John Lennon had always been a hardcore hippy while he was part of The Beatles, however, after
their breakup in 1970 and his marriage to Yoko Ono, peace and helping fight against the Vietnam

True Identities In April And Hercules
It is very important for a person to know their identity. A person s identity describes who they are
and how they live life. When he/she understand his/her identity they will know why they are on
this Earth and learn to accept who they are. If a person knows who they are they will not care
about how people think of them. April and Hercules have trouble finding their true identities
because they care about what people think instead of what they think. April and Hercules are
very similar because they both feel like there is a dark wall standing between them and their true
identity. Both of their journeys were very difficult. April had to face mean kids and everyone had
labels, and Hercules had to face deadly monsters to try and find who he is

Causality, Hume, and Quantum Mechanics Essay
Causality, Hume, and Quantum Mechanics
It is my intention, in the course of this essay, to take the work of David Hume and reapply it to
causality using quantum mechanical theory.
When I refer to causality, I am referring to the belief that events have a relationship of action A
causing action B where A is considered to be the final cause of B. I also refer to the belief that we
can know and understand these causal relationships and thusly know how the system works.
This is a concept that I do not agree with. This mechanistic causality, I feel, is a category of the
mind.
I wish to make it clear, before I begin, that I am not questioning the idea that cause/effect
interactions do occur in reality. I am, however,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Instead of saying, I dropped the egg, it broke because of that action, one would say or think, The
event of the egg breaking is an event preceded by an acceleration downward toward the floor. That
event is preceded by a slip of my hand, or some external force. The event of the slip is preceded
by a distracting thought and/or a moistening of my hand from contact with a wet surface, or by
neither event. The event of the distracting thought being preceded by a memory of meeting an
attractive person and/or having too much coffee, or by neither event. The event of the moist hand
being preceded by failing to wipe the counter properly and/or inadequate drying of my hands, or
by neither event. To be thorough, each of these strings of events would have to be traced back
through each branch and go back until one finally reaches the beginning of each string of events,
the beginning of the universe, if there is one.
But even this examination of events is not sufficient to describe all that goes on in this event. Each
portion of the causal mechanism is divisible within itself into internal causes.
Take the slip of the hand as an example. Some internal firing of neurons resulted in the slip of the
hand. To be thorough, we

Biography of Hieronymus Bosch
Hieronymus Bosch was born at the beginning of the Renaissance just after the end of the Dark
Ages. Bosch was born in the netherlandish city of Hertogenbosch. Hertogenbosch is where Bosch
got his last name. Bosch lived, grew up and died in Hertogenbosch. He never left the city, it is
surprising that his artwork became famous. Bosch came from a family of painters. His father, uncle,
and grandfather were all painters, unfortunately none of their works survived.
Bosch joined the Brotherhood of Our Lady, a local religious organization devoted to the Virgin
Mary, around 1486. Some of his first commissions came through the Brotherhood ,but
unfortunately, none of those works survived. He then married Alety Goyaerts den Meervenne. Her
family was wealthy so this union improved Bosch s social status.
Bosch s most famous painting is the Garden of Earthly Delight. It has amazing imagery and
exaggerations and also contained many vivid scenes. Few painters packed more detail into their
work than Hieronymus Bosch. The wings of Bosch s triptych open to reveal a color filled interior
bursting with strange architecture, unnatural landforms, and all types of hybrid creatures. In the
main part of the left hand panel, God the Father stands between the naked figures of Adam and
Eve, surrounded by various flora and fauna. This is the Garden of Eden, though the scene has a
dark side. In the distance, an animal tears at the flesh of his prey. Another one of Bosch s famous
paintings was the Last

Just Is A Poem Written By. Cummings
In Just is a poem written by e.e. cummings. It describes that spring is full of new memories and
activities. In just is about how little children go running to a balloonman. His whistles draw them
closer to him and they stop whatever they are doing to heed to his calling. He likes to play with the
spacing in between words and sentences that help the meaning of the poem and the balloonman.
Cummings uses many elements of poetryand describes the balloonman that has many theories to
his purpose in the poem. First, the balloonman appears several times in the poem In Just . He fits
the spring setting but is described with words that make him stick out. The balloonman has a
much darker purpose in the poem then what is read. On lines 3 and 4 he is described as little
and lame. He is described as lame to tell the readers that he can t walk properly he s got a limp
(shmoop). On lines 11 and 12 cummings described him as old and queer. Spring is the setting
and represents things that are new, but the balloonman is old which makes him not fit the poem
even more. He is also called queer which means weird. The balloonman is getting a lot more
attention than anything else in the poem which makes it seem like he needs to be looked into
more. On lines 20 and 21 the balloonMan is described even more. He is called goatfooted and the M
in men is capitalized. On every line after the balloonman appears he is described as whistling far
and wee. He is called goat footed because he is

When I first started my college journey I initially majored in Biology. Not knowing what I
wanted to do, I was influenced by my advisor to enter the biology field. After my third year, I
decided not to pursue biology anymore, and that s when I discovered my passion for the
Psychology field. After receiving my undergrad in psychology, I knew that I wanted to get my
masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, but I had no idea of how broad this area is. This
week assignment granted me the opportunity to interview someone who has been in this
profession for 25 plus years who has worked in all sectors when it comes to mental health
counseling. It allowed me to learn the pros and cons of this field and it even gave me more
insight and clarity on exactly what I wanted to do. I found this week assignment to be very
informative and I believe it is necessary for anyone that s interesting in entering in this field. I am
grateful for the knowledge and advice that I received during this week assignment.

Aromatherapy Body Massage
Many people ask how does an aromatherapy massage work and what makes it different from any
other massage ? To answer these questions it is necessary to understand how essential oils interact
with the body. There are well over 3000 identified essential oils in nature each with a unique set of
properties many of which are therapeutic to our human biology. Essential oils are common
elements of both Chinese Medicineand Ayurvedic Medicine. The use of oils to nourish the skin,
mind, body and soul has centuries of use within many cultures as old as the Romans Egyptians and
even farther back.

Art Reflection Paper
When I visited the Tampa Museum of Art, I walked around looking at all of the beautiful
artwork on display. I chose a piece that stuck out to me and reminded me of the carnivals and
fairs I went to growing up in my hometown with family. Choosing just one piece to write about
was a difficult decision, but I chose to write about Carrousels by Don Jacot. This piece was
created with oil on linen in 1992 and is 50x72 . I believe the subject matter of this piece has to
do with childhood and memories. I noticed in this piece that there were not many people on the
rides or around the picture at all. This interested me, so I decided to look at other artworks he
has created and most of the others are empty as well. I feel this has something to do with him
having an empty childhood, but still has the memories of him going out. He also tends to lean
more towards using the brighter primary colors such as red, blue, and yellow. I figured he chose
these because a child would be more fascinated in something bright and colorful instead of dull and
plain. One of the formal elements that stood out to me the most was color. I chose this because
color is such a big aspect in this piece of work. Blue, red, and yellow are the most used in this
work and are brightly intensified. The vibrant colors caught my eye right away when I saw the
picture. The second formal element that is shown in this picture is line. I feel this element goes
with the picture because there are many geometrical shapes and lines that direct you to certain
aspects. One of the main eye catching features is the Ferris wheel in the background. The wheel
catches the eye because all of the lines in the middle draw attention to it. The tents on top of the
rides in the back, the fence, and poles/bars on the ride are all very clean cut. Overall the lines in
the work lead your eye all around the composition of the piece. Another element that I thought this
picture has is shape. Shape is significant as well because the lines in the picture form these figures.
For example, the lines that are used on top of the ride tents form triangles, which lead back to
shape. This picture includes many geometrical forms all around the work such as the rectangular
benches, the

Barnes Noble Goes Local
MEMORANDUM
Date: February 9, 2015
To: Michael P. Huseby
From: Dana Gorder, Corporate Strategist
RE: Barnes Noble Goes Local
Why shouldn t we judge a book by its cover? As the country s leading brick and mortar bookseller,
Barnes Noble (B N) needs to transform its super store appearance and atmosphere instead of cutting
into markets with well established competition, such as ebooks and campus bookstores. Along with
the rising trend of the buy local movement, people prefer the atmosphere of a local bookstore to
that of a large retailer, and if B N wants to avoid Borders fate, we have to adopt the look and feel of
a more community connected, local store.
The Situation
Barnes Noble is in trouble. Sales in all three B N branches Nook, Retail, and College have
continually dropped since 2012 and analysts expect sales to decline another 7 percent this year
(IBISWorld).
Nook
Revenue decreased more than 50 percent last year (BN.com)
Distributors like Target no longer carry the Nook due to lack of profitability (Kozlowski)
Retail

Mimicry is the superficial resemblance between two or more organisms which are not

Myth Functions As A Source Of Expression In Our Lives,
Myth functions as a source of expression in our lives, whether it be value, worldview or even
how our very own gender roles are impacted. Myth can allow particular behavior in response to
how we perceive and deal with the myth itself. If we accept the myth, we could potentially use it
to cope with life in general. Though fiction, myth gives our lives this sense of an exterior, or
hidden human life that is capable of giving our lives more meaning. Often times, and in the case
for this paper, a sense of feminism, the symbolism of the woman warrior speaks as the theme of
myth.
To first compare this sense of myth into the reality of our daily lives, I d like to first look at Joseph
Campbell s theory in which signififies this expression of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Or perhaps, consider the passage here, where Campbell makes it aware that from our dreams,
we can begin to learn about ourselves, For example, you may be worried about whether you are
going to pass an exam. Then you have a dream of some kind of failure, and you find that failure
will be associated with many other failures in your life. They are all piled up together there.
Freud says even the most fully expounded dream is not really fully expounded. The dream is an
inexhaustible source of spiritual information about yourself. Now the level of dream of will I
pass the exam? or Should I marry this girl? that is purely personal. But, on another level, the
problem f passing an exam is not simply a personal problem. Everyone has to pass a threshold of
some kind. That is an archetypal thing. So there is a basic mythological theme there even
though it is a personal dream. These two levels the personal aspect and then the big general
problem of which the person s problem is a local example are found in all cultures. For example,
everyone has the problem of facing death. This is a standard mystery. From this passage, Campbell
gets a bit technical and personal on a different level than we would suggest when we think of
mythology. But I enjoy his perspective, how we are so intertwined with our dreams and how our
memories can identify us in such a way that we are thrown off of reality.

The Effect of Salt Solution Concentrations and Water On the Mass of Potatoes
Research Question
What happens to the mass of the diced potatoes when submerged in varying concentrations of salt
solutions and water in 10 minute intervals? This experiment will compare the mass of the diced
potatoes submerged in distilled water, 1% salt solution, 5% salt solution, and 10% salt solution
respectively in 10 minute intervals.
Background Information
Potatoes first originated in South America and were later introduced to Europe by Spanish
explorers. Now, potatoes have become an important staple food item to have in the kitchen. They
are packed with more energy than any other vegetable. A potatois made of potassium, vitamin C,
fiber, starch, water, and fat. The concentrationof each component is as follows: 18% starch, 78%
water, 2 5%protein, and 1% fat.
Hypothesis
If the concentration of the salt solution increases then, its mass will decrease. This is because water
molecules move from a higher concentration to a lower concentration in a process called osmosis.
Potatoes are made of mostly water and because of the salt solution concentration the water
molecules in the potato will move out of it. The higher the concentration, the more water molecules
move out of the potato.
Variables
The independent variable is the salt solution concentration. The dependant variable is the mass of
the potato. The control variable is the distilled water.

constant purchasing of more stuff. Happiness is achieved in many different ways for different
individuals but not through wealth. For example, the mother in Source I begins to understand this

Symbolism In A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings
A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings a tale of Humanities Sinful Behavior As humans age,
they don t grow wiser, but more foolish. Former feelings of love and affection become
abandoned, instead becoming corrupted by sin. Shamefully, humans display very cruel and
irrational behavior when faced with the unknown. As an angel is discovered by Pelayo and
Elsienda not only are they intrigued at this rare site, but soon allow themselves to show
humanities true behavior. In his story: A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, Gabriel Marquez
uses imagery, theme, and symbolism in order to clearly portray humanities sinful behavior when
faced with self doubt, causing many to abandon their faith and behave as children. To start, on a
stormy night Pelayo goes outside in order to throw out the once intruding crabs. As he returns, he
discovers an old, weary man in the rear of his courtyard. But this isn t an ordinary old man, Pelayo
sees enormous wings protruding out of his back. A neighbor informs Pelayo and his wife Elsienda
that he is an angel, and they should kill him. Instead, they show mercy and keep... Show more

In the beginning they don t expect much to change from the angels presence. But as they realize
the angel is a way to get money, they are overcome with greed. Soon after the attention of the
angel dies down, they see him as a nuisance. They even go as far as to design their new mansion
as if building a prison, with iron bars on the windows, so the angels wouldn t get in (Marquez
223). As if the angel was so much of a problem , they couldn t stand having more. Elsienda
wouldn t even let him step foot in their house, They would drive him out of the bedroom with a
broom (Marquez 224). As soon as the money stopped coming in, they wanted nothing to do with
him. Later the angel flies toward the sky, never to be seen again. Only then, they realize how
blessed they were to have him in their

How Did The Flag Change Australian Society
Australia s society has developed in many ways since colonisation. An example of society
developing in Australia is how the Australian flag design has changed over time and had things like
the Southern Cross added to it. Not only has the Australian flag changed, but immigration has also
changed Australia s society since colonisation. Women being able to vote was yet another major
change to Australiaand its society. Between 1850 1900 seven million people left China in search of
opportunities in USA, Canada and Australia.
The Australian flag has been changed many times and has been argued about how it should look.
The flag represents Australia, today s flag was voted for in a national flag competition held in
1901. Australia s first flag was the union flag it was used by Captain James Cook in 1770. After the
union flag, the Australian flag had the Southern Cross added to it and a federation star. Some
Australian citizens still want the Australian flag to be changed for various reasons and Advocates
of change in Australia believe that another flag design would be more effective in representing
Australia than the current flag.

South Australia was the first state in Australia to give women political rights in 1895. These
rights allowed women to vote and the right to stand for parliament. Only men and women over
the age of 21 could vote and stand for parliament. The commonwealth rights were not granted to
Aboriginal natives of Australia, Asians, Africans or the Pacific Islands except New Zealanders.
The first federal election was held in 1901 and only women from South and Western Australia
were allowed to vote, all of the other states of Australia still at this time did not have the rights for
women to vote. In the year 1908 all women across Australia had political

Australian Copyright Law Research Paper
The origins of Australia and Singapore s law of copyright are connected as both the laws first
originated from the United Kingdom (UK). The first copyright statute, British Statute of Anne 1710
which was named after Queen Anne, was initially applied to the copying of books only. As the first
modern copyrightlaw, it recognized copyright as an author s right, a major and important change in
philosophy and in law. Registration of works in the Stationers Company register book was required
of the owners of the rights as a condition of protection.
The British copyright law and International copyright agreements has influenced the Australian
copyright law. It was originated from the British copyright law which was established by the British

The Heidi Chronicles Essay
The Heidi Chronicles by Wendy Wasserstein kept my interest so much that I could not put it down
until I was to the last page. I liked how the issue of sexuality played a role along with the issue of
feminist goals in this play. I believe they complimented one another in that both groups strive for
equal right among the majority. For example when Peter starts to march with the other women from
the Art Institute. It shows that he is standing for a cause the effects another minority group in our
society: women.
I found Susan very interesting in the play. At the beginning she is always concerned with
impressing the guys, rolling her skirt to appear more attractive. Peter ... Show more content on

I believe Scoop is too much of a chauvinistic pig especially when he assigns a grade to everything
from food, music, and women. He is a prime example of why there are feminist out there to put
men like him back in his cage.
Act 2, Scene 2 is where I had the strongest reaction that is when Peter, Scoop, and Heidi went on a
talk show. What made me mad was before the show Denise told Peter to act out his sexuality more
than usual. Basically telling him to be the stereotypical, flaming homosexual for the television
audience. It reminded me of the Jerry Springer episodes where they bring out the gay guests that
have cheated on their lovers: been there, done that, now they are back for more attitude. Which is a
false portrayal of the gay community. Betrayal happens in any kind of relationship whether is gay
or straight relationship. The talk show they are on reminds me of the Dr. Laura show. April, the
host, makes several comments that have gay derogatory undertones. April talks about how their
generation is rich, powerful, famous, and even parents. Then she makes a comment to the effect of
What if Peter Pan came through our bedroom windows? Peter Pan I think symbolizes homosexuality
as a disease the way she talks about it. Her narrow minded perspective makes it seem that just
because
somebody chooses an alternative lifestyle that they can no longer be rich, powerful, famous, or
even parents. Even though she is a fictional

Conditions Associated Thermal Regimes Impact On Roads
There are three possible conditions associated thermal regimes impact on roads; they are
(a)sustained winter thermal regime during winter months;(b) fluctuating thermal regimes during
autumn and spring, and (c)sustained thermal regime starting off in spring. The potential impacts of
this on flexible type pavement are as follows;
a.Under maintained below zero temperatures amid winter, and relying upon the predominating
moisture content in the pavement structure and the way of the pavement materials. For instance,
frost susceptible soils, for example, residues and clayey sediments, the sub grade or the pavement
layer may freeze increment in volume and subject the pavement to swelling weights, which
inevitably prompt frost heave. Pavements ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fluctuating thermal administration, particularly when de icing salts are applied on the surface,
may prompt scaling at the surface of pavements. By improving the concrete composition for
example, by utilizing air entering agent, higher cement content, lower water cement ratios the effect
of de icing salt can be diminished.
A noteworthy and supported decline in the recurrence of extremely cool days could lessen the
danger of pavement harm brought about by frost heave, freeze thaw cycling and defrosting and
could therefore decrease maintenance costs. Then again, it is not that simple. As winter gets hotter
pavements get more presented to freezing and thawing cycle, prompting premature decay of
pavement particularly to the upper layer of asphalt like cracking and ravelling.
Hence, in areas where roads are usually frozen in winter, a decrease in the number of very cold
days may impact the following;
Potentially, a higher frequency of freeze thaw cycles, causing durability and fatigue problems, and
greater incidence of black ice.
Increased demand for de icing chemicals on account of the higher frequency of freeze thaw cycle,
including potential damage from the adverse effect of repeated application.
Wet surface condition occurring more frequently, allowing more water to ingress the pavement
through cracks with consequential effects.
Reduced bearing capacity as a result of moisture ingress and/or thawing of an otherwise frozen
pavement.
Although a reduced

Theme Of Nobody Is Good At All
The theme for this text is that nobody is good at everything, but everybody is good at something.
At the beginning of the story, the narrator compares himself to his brother and father s athletic
accomplishments and feels like less than them or like a failure. The story reads, he tried to pass
on his athletic skills to my older brother Eddy and me. During the times I felt well, I tried to keep
up with them, but my lungs always failed me. (Yep 5). This shows that the narrator never felt like
he was good enough for his father compared to Eddy. As the story progresses, the narrator is
learning from his father to shoot a rifle. His father s tone makes him think that he is still
disappointed that Eddy is not helping him instead. The narrative

Cary House Research Paper
I grew up in Cary and Barrington Illinois. During the summers, my family would stay at my Cary
house because it was located on the Fox River. This left me when very fun memories of being with
my family. Since the house I lived in was located on a river I basically lived in the water. However,
the idea of going on the boat always put a smile on my face. While on the boat, we would go
tubing and wakeboarding etc. This is what fueled my loveof living on a river. During the winter we
would live at my barrington house because we had a big yard and we could sled in it. Overall,
where I grew up really got me to love being outside.
In my family we have six people all together. Starting with my sisters Meghan and Caitlin, Jerry

While I was a kid my family and I used to go on bike rides all the time to anywhere you could
think of. We would go boating everyday in the summer. We would ski, wakeboard, go tubing
and many more. Go tubing was one of the funniest memories I have boating because the thrill
you get is unbeatable trying to hold on for dear life. Anothering thing we did as a family was go on
vacation everywhere. The road trips were always fun because we would bring our dog turbo. The
one trip that will never be forgotten is North Carolina. We go there every year with family friends
and it will be a trip on go on with my kids.
Identical. To me, having an identical twin brother is very uncommon. I enjoy having a twin
brother because whenever when do anything together we are very competitive. We both push
each other to do better for example if we have the same class and I have a higher grade he will
work harder to get a better grade than me so it pushes us both to do better. Lastly we have a bond
that will ever be broken. Overall having a twin is something that most people wish for But I was

Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)
A recently graduated working paramedic is referred to as an Advanced Care Paramedic, or an
ACP. An ACP follows a clinical structure, the first aspect of the format is called a primary survey
which collects all emergency patient information. This compulsory technique aims to identify and
control catastrophic medical events to ensure patients have the best outcome possible (Hodegetts et
al., 2011). When conducting a primary survey of a patient an ACP would follow the basic structure
of danger, response, airway, breathing and circulation; usually shortened into the acronym DRABC
(Woo, 2000).
To begin the primary survey, DRABC should be started as soon as possible (QAS reference). It is
crucial for effective, emergency response to patients suffering ... Show more content on

Thus Paramedics Australasia devised an introduction to the clinical role of a paramedic, although
slight variations in differing jurisdictions. Under Paramedics Australasia a paramedic is a health
professional that provides emergency medical treatment and assessment, rapid patient response in
an out of hospital setting (Paramedics.org, 2016) It is important for paramedics not to exceed
their scope of practice as the patient outcome is significantly decreased, a multidisciplinary view
on the care being provided is negatively affected which in turn ensures non informed decisions are
being made for the patient unknowingly (Paramedics.org, 2011). If a graduated paramedic exceeds
their scope of practice, patient outcomes become substandard to the care they could provide within
their scope of practise (Fitzgerald,

The Impact Of Internet On The Level Of Competition The ways in which the internet will affect the level of competition in this industry and for this case include the following; Cost Reduction In the previous years, the film industry in Japan used to make use of many employees in the production process. That means that the company spends a lot of money in paying for labor. With the availability of the internet, there are animated pictures that are found on the internet and can be used for the film production industry. Availability of High Skilled Staff With the availability of the internet, the companies in the film production industry will be able to advertise for job vacancies via the internet. Internet adverts usually go wide and broad. That means that the companies will have a wide variety of staff to select. That means they will get the best skills from all over the world. Availability of skilled labor will lead to more innovations in the company, and that will result in company efficiency. Availability of efficient staff usually leads to increased efficiency that cuts on the costs of the company (Bartlett, Ghoshal, 140). • 4. The Problem Of Evil By John Leslie Mackie The Problem of Evil by John Leslie Mackie is a philosophical argument that discusses the logical paradoxes and impossibilities of God s existence. Written in 1955, it details how Mackie believes that because God is represented as an omnipotent (perfectly powerful) and omnibenevolent (wholly good) being, evil cannot exist and thus neither can God. I will explain those paradoxes and defend Mackie s argument, but I shall will question the justification of his claims to God s existence. I shall also provide and discuss three theistic objections to the problem of evil, both adequate and fallacious. The Problem of Evil as characterized by J. L. Mackie can be summarised in three points: 1.God is omnipotent 2.God is omnibenevolent 3.Evil ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... ConAgra Foods Hanover Bakery is currently dealing with three major cost issues waste, oven temperature regulation, and the warehouse department. The warehouse department is currently dealing with a $4 5 million cost in Integrated Mixing Centers in York and Milton. • 6. Iran-Contra Scandal So I guess in a way they are counter revolutionary, and God bless them for being that way and I guess that makes them contras, and so it makes me a contra too. In 1979, a bitter war broke out in Nicaragua between the Sandinista Junta of National Reconstruction, the Nicaraguan government, and the Contras, a vicious rebel group. The goal of this war was simple, overthrow the Nicaraguan government and restore freedom for all Nicaraguan citizens. It was this that caught the eye of the American government and it was not too long before the U.S began to fund the Contras. Although the United States government funded the contras, they viewed them with skepticism being that they were extremely controversial. The U.S president during this time, Ronald Reagan, fell in love with the contras belief system and fought to keep them funded. Later on the United States support became limited, which left the president in search of a new way to keep the Contras money flow regular. Soon after, former president Ronald Reagan and his administrators contrived a way to continue to fund the contras without the Congress approval. They concluded that selling arms and weapons to a harmless ally named Iran was the only way to go. They would sell the weapons to Iran in exchange for money, which would then be put into a secret bank account and sent to the Nicaraguan Contras. This idea was brilliant but illegal as well, it was high treason. These series of events will forever be known as the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Armed Conflict Armed Conflict Several similarities exist between the conflict incurred by European settlers with Native Americans in the depictions of Inca, Garcilaso de la Vega s La Florida del Inca, and Gaspar Perez de Villagra s Historia de la Nueva Mexico. Excerpts from both works can be found in the compendium edited by Harold Augnebraum and Magartie Fernandez Olmos entitled The Latino Reader: Five Centuries of an American Literary Tradition from Cabeza de Vaca to Oscar Hijuelos. In both narratives, the authors chronicle Spaniards unlawful dispossession of territory that was previously inhabited by Native Americans. Quite naturally, these natives resisted this early form of larceny, which oftentimes resulted in an armed conflict between the two disparate groups. However, it is fairly apparent that both authors viewed this conflict and the appropriation of the Native Americans land as largely religious matter, which was justified by the sake of Christianity. The narratives are at variance predominantly in their depiction of the natives during this conflict, however. Whereas de Villagra s depiction is decidedly less concerned with these natives and their point of view, Vega frequently takes pains to portray the humanity and dignity of the Native Americans encountered by the Spanish in Florida. The author s proclivity to do so is exemplified by his description of the fate of Juan Ortiz, a Spaniard who was captured by Native Americans in Florida. To illustrate the aggressive, hostile ... Voltaire For many Nietzsche s proclamation of God s death is liberating. No longer shall life be dictated by groundless superstition; we are now free to judge for ourselves what constitutes a good life. The adoption of this idea seems to allow for greater degrees of self fulfillment. If this is the case, why is it that such a large portion of our population still upholds religion? The compounds of the liquid liquid mixture were isolated by simple distillation, and the compounds in the mixture of solids were extracted by liquidliquid extraction, and later purified through recrystallization. Physical properties such as boiling points, melting points, and densities were used to identify each isolated compound. After analysis, the first liquid was identified by a boiling range of 81.0В°C 81.3В°C and a density of 0.7882g/mL, and the second liquid was identified by a boiling range of 91.7В°C 91.9В°C and a density of 0.8578 g/mL. • 11. How Did William Shakespeare Impact His Plays When you think of historical literature figures William Shakespeare is a preferable playwright to read about. William Shakespeare was allegedly born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England. Church records from Holy Trinity indicate that he was baptized there on April 26, 1564. His birthday is thought to be the 23rd because baptism usually occurs a few days after birth. Young William was born into a family of eight children, him being the third born. Three of the eight children died during childhood. William s parents were John Shakespeare, a glover and leather merchant, and Mary Arden, a local landed heiress. William Shakespeare s next documented event in his lifetime was the marriage to Anne Hathaway on November 28, 1582. William was 18 at the time and Anne was 25, seven years his senior. There was some haste in arranging the ceremony, presumably as Anne was three months pregnant. After his marriage, Shakespeare left few traces in historical records until he appeared on the London theatrical scene. The late 1580s are known as his lost years because little ... • 13. Essay Robert Altmans Nashville Nashville Essay Robert Altman s movie Nashville is based on the political, social, and personal problems that our country has to deal with. These problems are rooted in the battle between the need to create some false image of success and the need for truth which is the struggle that exists in every character of this film (except Jeff Goldbloom). To show this Robert Altman takes us through Nashville s Country Music using political commentary, music and realistically portrayed dialogue to tell the story. The nature of dialogue itself is solely for creating and upholding the self image of the Nashville Star weather you are one or not. The conversations never get passed the surface issues, and no one ever speaks their mind unless it s safe. But, the reality of each character is very real and deep due to the way the dialogue was set up. Most of the people were frivolous so in order to add some depth and reveal their true character Altman had to make the dialogue as realistic as possible. The dialogue seemed almost unrehearsed or not planned at all which gives it its reality. The most odious example of this is when the Hal Walker representative is arguing about the political sign with Barbra Gene s husband at Centennial Park. He slips on his line in the heat of the argument. I don t know if this was intentional or not, but I think they chose to keep it in the movie because it seemed to be more true to reality than just a smooth flowing argument that would normally be in a movie. The little slip gave way, for the first time, a vulnerable side to the Hal Walker rep or even politics for that matter. There is also another form of acousmatic, and it is the subtle comments of the crowd. New Financial Institutions Restrictions on the number of new financial services institutions allowed to enter the industry each year are needed to protect the integrity and stability of consumers cash and deposits, as well as outstanding loans and credit. Although many are private companies, financial institutions have a very public purpose, which is why federal regulations are needed. The safety and security of the financial institution is an important part of the overall financial system. Federal guidelines with capital structure requirements and market entry limits protect consumers from losing their money or assets to institutions who are not adequately funded to maintain business through times of financial downturn (Northeast Decision Sciences Institute, 2013). Barriers to entry in the United States financial services industry is needed and necessary to protect the American consumer and the American financial market from both foreign and domestic financial services companies. Regulating the entry of new financial services companies, whether foreign or domestic based, also helps establish a level playing field for new and existing companies within the regulatory system (McDonough, 1993). Conversely, open entry to the financial services industry would increase market competition among all institutions. This would help keep all financial services companies striving for new products and technology advances in order to maintain and grow their market share. Regulations that ... Bosch joined the Brotherhood of Our Lady, a local religious organization devoted to the Virgin Mary, around 1486. Some of his first commissions came through the Brotherhood ,but unfortunately, none of those works survived. He then married Alety Goyaerts den Meervenne. Her family was wealthy so this union improved Bosch s social status. Bosch s most famous painting is the Garden of Earthly Delight. It has amazing imagery and exaggerations and also contained many vivid scenes. Few painters packed more detail into their work than Hieronymus Bosch. The wings of Bosch s triptych open to reveal a color filled interior bursting with strange architecture, unnatural landforms, and all types of hybrid creatures. In the main part of the left hand panel, God the Father stands between the naked figures of Adam and Eve, surrounded by various flora and fauna. This is the Garden of Eden, though the scene has a dark side. In the distance, an animal tears at the flesh of his prey. Another one of Bosch s famous paintings was the Last ... • 26. Just Is A Poem Written By. Cummings In Just is a poem written by e.e. cummings. It describes that spring is full of new memories and activities. In just is about how little children go running to a balloonman. His whistles draw them closer to him and they stop whatever they are doing to heed to his calling. He likes to play with the spacing in between words and sentences that help the meaning of the poem and the balloonman. Cummings uses many elements of poetryand describes the balloonman that has many theories to his purpose in the poem. First, the balloonman appears several times in the poem In Just . He fits the spring setting but is described with words that make him stick out. The balloonman has a much darker purpose in the poem then what is read. On lines 3 and 4 he is described as little and lame. He is described as lame to tell the readers that he can t walk properly he s got a limp (shmoop). On lines 11 and 12 cummings described him as old and queer. Spring is the setting and represents things that are new, but the balloonman is old which makes him not fit the poem even more. He is also called queer which means weird. The balloonman is getting a lot more attention than anything else in the poem which makes it seem like he needs to be looked into more. On lines 20 and 21 the balloonMan is described even more. He is called goatfooted and the M in men is capitalized. On every line after the balloonman appears he is described as whistling far and wee. Not knowing what I wanted to do, I was influenced by my advisor to enter the biology field. After my third year, I decided not to pursue biology anymore, and that s when I discovered my passion for the Psychology field. After receiving my undergrad in psychology, I knew that I wanted to get my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, but I had no idea of how broad this area is. This week assignment granted me the opportunity to interview someone who has been in this profession for 25 plus years who has worked in all sectors when it comes to mental health counseling. It allowed me to learn the pros and cons of this field and it even gave me more insight and clarity on exactly what I wanted to do. I found this week assignment to be very informative and I believe it is necessary for anyone that s interesting in entering in this field. I am grateful for the knowledge and advice that I received during this week assignment. The use of oils to nourish the skin, mind, body and soul has centuries of use within many cultures as old as the Romans Egyptians and even farther back. • 29. Art Reflection Paper When I visited the Tampa Museum of Art, I walked around looking at all of the beautiful artwork on display. I chose a piece that stuck out to me and reminded me of the carnivals and fairs I went to growing up in my hometown with family. Choosing just one piece to write about was a difficult decision, but I chose to write about Carrousels by Don Jacot. This piece was created with oil on linen in 1992 and is 50x72 . I believe the subject matter of this piece has to do with childhood and memories. I noticed in this piece that there were not many people on the rides or around the picture at all. This interested me, so I decided to look at other artworks he has created and most of the others are empty as well. I feel this has something to do with him having an empty childhood, but still has the memories of him going out. He also tends to lean more towards using the brighter primary colors such as red, blue, and yellow. I figured he chose these because a child would be more fascinated in something bright and colorful instead of dull and plain. One of the formal elements that stood out to me the most was color. I chose this because color is such a big aspect in this piece of work. Blue, red, and yellow are the most used in this work and are brightly intensified. The vibrant colors caught my eye right away when I saw the picture. The second formal element that is shown in this picture is line. I feel this element goes with the picture because there are many geometrical shapes and lines that direct you to certain aspects. One of the main eye catching features is the Ferris wheel in the background. The wheel catches the eye because all of the lines in the middle draw attention to it. The tents on top of the rides in the back, the fence, and poles/bars on the ride are all very clean cut. Overall the lines in the work lead your eye all around the composition of the piece. Another element that I thought this picture has is shape. Shape is significant as well because the lines in the picture form these figures. For example, the lines that are used on top of the ride tents form triangles, which lead back to shape. This picture includes many geometrical forms all around the work such as the rectangular benches, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As the country s leading brick and mortar bookseller, Barnes Noble (B N) needs to transform its super store appearance and atmosphere instead of cutting into markets with well established competition, such as ebooks and campus bookstores. Along with the rising trend of the buy local movement, people prefer the atmosphere of a local bookstore to that of a large retailer, and if B N wants to avoid Borders fate, we have to adopt the look and feel of a more community connected, local store. The Situation Barnes Noble is in trouble. Myth Functions As A Source Of Expression In Our Lives, Myth functions as a source of expression in our lives, whether it be value, worldview or even how our very own gender roles are impacted. Myth can allow particular behavior in response to how we perceive and deal with the myth itself. If we accept the myth, we could potentially use it to cope with life in general. Though fiction, myth gives our lives this sense of an exterior, or hidden human life that is capable of giving our lives more meaning. Often times, and in the case for this paper, a sense of feminism, the symbolism of the woman warrior speaks as the theme of myth. Or perhaps, consider the passage here, where Campbell makes it aware that from our dreams, we can begin to learn about ourselves, For example, you may be worried about whether you are going to pass an exam. Then you have a dream of some kind of failure, and you find that failure will be associated with many other failures in your life. They are all piled up together there. Freud says even the most fully expounded dream is not really fully expounded. The dream is an inexhaustible source of spiritual information about yourself. Now the level of dream of will I pass the exam? or Should I marry this girl? that is purely personal. But, on another level, the problem f passing an exam is not simply a personal problem. Everyone has to pass a threshold of some kind. That is an archetypal thing. So there is a basic mythological theme there even though it is a personal dream. These two levels the personal aspect and then the big general problem of which the person s problem is a local example are found in all cultures. For example, everyone has the problem of facing death. This is a standard mystery. From this passage, Campbell gets a bit technical and personal on a different level than we would suggest when we think of mythology. But I enjoy his perspective, how we are so intertwined with our dreams and how our memories can identify us in such a way that we are thrown off of reality. Now lending this ... This experiment will compare the mass of the diced potatoes submerged in distilled water, 1% salt solution, 5% salt solution, and 10% salt solution respectively in 10 minute intervals. Background Information Potatoes first originated in South America and were later introduced to Europe by Spanish explorers. Now, potatoes have become an important staple food item to have in the kitchen. They are packed with more energy than any other vegetable. A potatois made of potassium, vitamin C, fiber, starch, water, and fat. The concentrationof each component is as follows: 18% starch, 78% water, 2 5%protein, and 1% fat. Hypothesis If the concentration of the salt solution increases then, its mass will decrease. This is because water molecules move from a higher concentration to a lower concentration in a process called osmosis. Potatoes are made of mostly water and because of the salt solution concentration the water molecules in the potato will move out of it. The higher the concentration, the more water molecules move out of the potato. Variables The independent variable is the salt solution concentration. The dependant variable is the mass of the potato. The control variable is the distilled water. Control of Variables Another controlled ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For instance, frost susceptible soils, for example, residues and clayey sediments, the sub grade or the pavement layer may freeze increment in volume and subject the pavement to swelling weights, which inevitably prompt frost heave. Pavements ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The fluctuating thermal administration, particularly when de icing salts are applied on the surface, may prompt scaling at the surface of pavements. By improving the concrete composition for example, by utilizing air entering agent, higher cement content, lower water cement ratios the effect of de icing salt can be diminished. A noteworthy and supported decline in the recurrence of extremely cool days could lessen the danger of pavement harm brought about by frost heave, freeze thaw cycling and defrosting and could therefore decrease maintenance costs. Then again, it is not that simple. As winter gets hotter pavements get more presented to freezing and thawing cycle, prompting premature decay of pavement particularly to the upper layer of asphalt like cracking and ravelling. Hence, in areas where roads are usually frozen in winter, a decrease in the number of very cold days may impact the following; Potentially, a higher frequency of freeze thaw cycles, causing durability and fatigue problems, and greater incidence of black ice. Increased demand for de icing chemicals on account of the higher frequency of freeze thaw cycle, including potential damage from the adverse effect of repeated application. Wet surface condition occurring more frequently, allowing more water to ingress the pavement through cracks with consequential effects. Reduced bearing capacity as a result of moisture ingress and/or thawing of an otherwise frozen pavement. Although a reduced ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 50. Cary House Research Paper I grew up in Cary and Barrington Illinois. During the summers, my family would stay at my Cary house because it was located on the Fox River. This left me when very fun memories of being with my family. Since the house I lived in was located on a river I basically lived in the water. However, the idea of going on the boat always put a smile on my face. While on the boat, we would go tubing and wakeboarding etc. This is what fueled my loveof living on a river. During the winter we would live at my barrington house because we had a big yard and we could sled in it. Overall, where I grew up really got me to love being outside. In my family we have six people all together. Starting with my sisters Meghan and Caitlin, Jerry and I plus our parents. Meghan is two years older than me and Caitlin is five years ... Anothering thing we did as a family was go on vacation everywhere. The road trips were always fun because we would bring our dog turbo. The one trip that will never be forgotten is North Carolina. We go there every year with family friends and it will be a trip on go on with my kids. Identical. To me, having an identical twin brother is very uncommon. I enjoy having a twin brother because whenever when do anything together we are very competitive. We both push each other to do better for example if we have the same class and I have a higher grade he will work harder to get a better grade than me so it pushes us both to do better. Lastly we have a bond that will ever be broken. Overall having a twin is something that most people wish for But I was lucky enough to get ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) A recently graduated working paramedic is referred to as an Advanced Care Paramedic, or an ACP. An ACP follows a clinical structure, the first aspect of the format is called a primary survey which collects all emergency patient information. This compulsory technique aims to identify and control catastrophic medical events to ensure patients have the best outcome possible (Hodegetts et al., 2011). When conducting a primary survey of a patient an ACP would follow the basic structure of danger, response, airway, breathing and circulation; usually shortened into the acronym DRABC (Woo, 2000). To begin the primary survey, DRABC should be started as soon as possible (QAS reference). It is crucial for effective, emergency response to patients suffering ... Under Paramedics Australasia a paramedic is a health professional that provides emergency medical treatment and assessment, rapid patient response in an out of hospital setting (Paramedics.org, 2016) It is important for paramedics not to exceed their scope of practice as the patient outcome is significantly decreased, a multidisciplinary view on the care being provided is negatively affected which in turn ensures non informed decisions are being made for the patient unknowingly (Paramedics.org, 2011). If a graduated paramedic exceeds their scope of practice, patient outcomes become substandard to the care they could provide within their scope of practise (Fitzgerald, ...
