Maritez Apigo's presentation at the Strengthening Student Success Conference on October 5, 2016 at Hyatt Regency Orange County
Tired of telling your students to put away their phones? Instead, instruct your students to take them out! The presenter will showcase two user-friendly educational technology tools for engaging students in interactive polls and administering formative assessments of student learning outcomes on their mobile devices: Poll Everywhere and Socrative. Through the techniques modeled and examples shared, the presenter will demonstrate the benefits of integrating technology in the classroom to advance equity and student success. This session will also provide tips and helpful resources for getting started and troubleshooting with these technologies.
