Performance Test on Mixed Refrigerant in Domestic RefrigeratorIJERA Editor
Refrigerator is a household appliance used to preserve the foods, vegetables, beverages at low temperature. Refrigerant is the blood of the refrigerator and it changes its phase to transfer heat for giving cooling effect inside the refrigerator. Generally many refrigerator works under the vapour compression cycle and it uses only one refrigerant. Each and every refrigerant used in the refrigerator must have disadvantages, to overcome this problem we use mixed refrigerant (two different refrigerants with different properties are mixed together). In this project combination of R600a (isobutane) and R134a (1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluroethane) is selected as a mixed refrigerant. R600a have some good properties like zero ODP, zero GWP and high latent heat of vapourization and R134a is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-corrosive and zero ODP.
A muffle furnace, also known as chamber or box furnace, provides the user with a cuboidal hot zone, having the depth of the hot zone generally longer than the height and the width. The hot zone is heated using either metallic, Silicon Carbide or Molybdenum Disilicide heating elements.

Agroforestry for food security and climate resiliencePatrick Worms
Feeding 9 billion people by 2050 on less land, with less water, and more extreme weather can seem hopeless. But it is not so. Agroforestry, evergreen agriculture and using the findings of agrocecology to manage farms can all bring sizeable, durable gains in productivity - even on degraded lands. The debate needs to move on from the facile organic vs. intensive agriculture one - the future will mean combining the best of all technologies while taking the way that natural systems behave into account. Much of the science is in: it's feasible. Now we need to do it.
Soil health concerns under rice intensificationAshutosh Pal
The document discusses agriculture development in India after independence and the phases of green revolution. It notes that productivity growth rates have declined for major crops since the 1990s. Soil fertility has also declined and nutrient mining has increased, posing a threat to soil health. Many districts in Odisha have witnessed deficiencies in sulfur, boron, and zinc in soils. Long-term experiments show yield increases and nutrient accumulation with balanced fertilization and manure application compared to chemical fertilizers alone. The SRI method of rice cultivation provides yield advantages and water savings compared to conventional practices. However, long-term impacts on soil health need further study for sustainable exploitation of SRI technology.

Ice is not typically referred to as a black body. A black body is an idealized physical body that absorbs all electromagnetic radiation that falls on it. Some key points:
- A black body is a theoretical concept used in thermodynamics and radiation physics to describe an idealized physical body that absorbs all electromagnetic radiation that falls on it.
- No real physical objects meet the idealized definition of a perfect black body, but certain materials come very close under certain conditions. For example, a small hole in an enclosure can approximate a black body.
- Ice does not absorb all electromagnetic radiation. It reflects a portion of visible light, making it appear translucent or opaque rather than perfectly black. It is not considered a

Temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy of particles in a body. It determines whether a body is in thermal equilibrium with others. Temperature is measured using various devices like liquid-in-glass thermometers, thermistors, thermocouples, and resistance temperature detectors (RTDs). These devices use different principles like thermal expansion of liquids, variation of electrical resistance with temperature, and Seebeck and Peltier effects to measure temperature. Common temperature scales include Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin and Rankine, which are related through defined formulas.
The document discusses various types of thermometers and pyrometers used to measure temperature. Liquid-in-glass thermometers measure temperature by the expansion and contraction of mercury in a glass tube. Bimetallic thermometers use the different expansion rates of two metals bonded together to indicate temperature. Pressure thermometers measure the thermal expansion of liquids or vapor pressure to determine temperature. Pyrometers measure the intensity of infrared radiation emitted by hot objects to determine their temperature without direct contact.

The document compares the experimental performance of a thermoelectric refrigerator to a vapor compression refrigerator. It finds that for 325 ml of water cooled from 32°C to below 6°C:
- In the commercial refrigerator's freezer compartment, the water temperature decreased linearly with time, taking 61 minutes to reach 6°C.
- In the thermoelectric refrigerator, the water temperature decreased exponentially with time, taking 69 minutes to reach 6°C.
- For most of the cooling time, the thermoelectric refrigerator cooled at a faster rate than the commercial refrigerator.
A temperature transducer converts a temperature input into an electrical output. It has a sensing element whose properties change with temperature, and a transduction element that converts these changes into an electrical signal. Common types include thermocouples, which generate a voltage from dissimilar metal junctions at different temperatures, and resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) where the resistance of a metal changes predictably with temperature. Integrated circuit temperature transducers combine a temperature sensor with electronics to directly produce an electrical output related to temperature.

Low power architecture of logic gates using adiabatic techniquesnooriasukmaningtyas
The growing significance of portable systems to limit power consumption in ultra-large-scale-integration chips of very high density, has recently led to rapid and inventive progresses in low-power design. The most effective technique is adiabatic logic circuit design in energy-efficient hardware. This paper presents two adiabatic approaches for the design of low power circuits, modified positive feedback adiabatic logic (modified PFAL) and the other is direct current diode based positive feedback adiabatic logic (DC-DB PFAL). Logic gates are the preliminary components in any digital circuit design. By improving the performance of basic gates, one can improvise the whole system performance. In this paper proposed circuit design of the low power architecture of OR/NOR, AND/NAND, and XOR/XNOR gates are presented using the said approaches and their results are analyzed for powerdissipation, delay, power-delay-product and rise time and compared with the other adiabatic techniques along with the conventional complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) designs reported in the literature. It has been found that the designs with DC-DB PFAL technique outperform with the percentage improvement of 65% for NOR gate and 7% for NAND gate and 34% for XNOR gate over the modified PFAL techniques at 10 MHz respectively.

Advanced control scheme of doubly fed induction generator for wind turbine us...IJECEIAES
This paper describes a speed control device for generating electrical energy on an electricity network based on the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for wind power conversion systems. At first, a double-fed induction generator model was constructed. A control law is formulated to govern the flow of energy between the stator of a DFIG and the energy network using three types of controllers: proportional integral (PI), sliding mode controller (SMC) and second order sliding mode controller (SOSMC). Their different results in terms of power reference tracking, reaction to unexpected speed fluctuations, sensitivity to perturbations, and resilience against machine parameter alterations are compared. MATLAB/Simulink was used to conduct the simulations for the preceding study. Multiple simulations have shown very satisfying results, and the investigations demonstrate the efficacy and power-enhancing capabilities of the suggested control system.

TEMPERATURE MEASURING
INSTRUMENTS
22. WORKING
It consists of a bulb containing mercury attached to a
glass tube of narrow diameter.
Temperature increases cause the mercury to expand, so
the temperature can be determined by measuring the
volume of the mercury.
23. BIMETALLIC THERMOMETER
It is a temperature sensor that can control the
temperature.
The principle behind this thermometer relies on
the fact that different metals expand at different
rates as they warm up.
24. WORKING
In this diagram , as the temperature rises the blue metal expands
faster than the green metal. This causes the strip to bend upward,
making contact so that current can flow.
By adjusting the size of the gap between the strip and the contact ,
you control the temperature.
25. THERMOCOUPLE
Thermocouples are a widely used type of temperature
sensor for measurement and control, and can also
convert a temperature gradient into electricity.
Thermocouples are self powered and require no
external form of excitation.
26. The phenomena behind this is known as
“Thermoelectric effect or Seebeck effect.”
In 1821, the German–Estonian physicist Thomas
Johann Seebeck discovered that when any conductor is
subjected to a thermal gradient, it will generate a
voltage. This is now known as the thermoelectric effect
or Seebeck effect.
27. A Resistance Thermometer or Resistance
Temperature Detector is a device which used to
determine the temperature by measuring the
resistance of pure electrical wire.
If we want to measure temperature with high
accuracy, RTD is the only one solution in
industries.
The RTD element is made from a pure material,
typically platinum, nickel or copper.
28. Platinum is the most
commonly used metal
for RTD elements.
They are often called
Platinum Resistance
Thermometers (PRTs).
29. WORKING
RTDs work on a basic correlation between
metal’s resistance and temperature. As the
temperature of a metal increases, the metal's
resistance to the flow of electricity increases.
The significant characteristic of metals used as
resistive elements is the linear approximation of
the resistance versus temperature relationship
between 0 and 100 °C. This temperature
coefficient of resistance is called alpha, α.

experience for me which enhanced my
knowledge. Here, I got the opportunity to
know about some Electronic
Instruments.
