Case Study Of Libra Motors
Everyone dreams of modernisation. But how often do we realise the sacrifices made for the
same? Libra Motors Limited is one of the largest automobile company in India, with
consolidated revenues of INR 2,32,834 crores (USD 38.9 billion) in 2013 14. It leads in the
various segments and has come out with winning products like compact, midsize car and utility
vehicle segments. It beats various manufacturers and is considered to be the 5th largest truck
manufacturer. It is also the 4th largest bus manufacturer. The Libra Motors Group employs 60,000
people who are guided by the mission to be passionate in anticipating and providing the best
vehicles and experiences that excite our customers globally. Libra Motors was established in 1945,

The Libra Motors came up with the proposition of setting small manufacturing units for all the
car parts, in the proximity of the main car manufacturing project. This would mean that atleast a
100 acres of land would be required to set up a factory that big a size. The company was shown
five other spots as well in the West Bengal region to set up the factory; but the management
thought that the land near Rasulpur, which is directly on the National Highway, would prove to
be beneficial and easy to access via daily transportation. The rapid rise in the population of West
Bengal has not been accompanied by significant economic growth. Indicators to show the same are
low poverty rates, unemployment and low job growth rates. Local politicians tried to come into
power by promising agricultural land to farmers. However, small land holdings were not enough
for the locals to survive. Hence, the shift from agriculture to industrialisation was considered, which
would give a chance to the locals to earn

The National Security Language Initiative For Youth
Last semester I was in India with a study abroad program sponsored by the State Department. The
National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI Y) was created in part to learn languages
not often spoken in the United States but also to create cross cultural education and understanding.
World peace can be achieved by broadening each other s perspectives through everyday
interactions. This idea forms an essential part of NSLI Y s mission: that we can improve
understanding between our country and others, and this is achievable if each one of us decides to
be the change that we hope to see in our communities. This mission aligns with both my personal
and future professional missions, and as a NSLI Y student and alumna, I am able to be ambassador,
building connections between communities through everyday interactions, volunteering, and
speaking about my study abroad experience. Therefore, as a study abroad participant, perhaps the
most simple, but one of the most important ways, to promote intercultural learning is to get
involved. As a member of my host community, I was able to open my ears and mind to every
opportunity available to me to participate in my community: through everyday traditions and once a
year celebrations, school activities, volunteer opportunities, and religious and extracurricular
activities. I said yes to all of the new opportunities that presented themselves to me, whether it was
trying a new, unidentifiable food or running a 5K. I let my passion

Elements Of Visual Design In Star Wars
May Visual Design be with you
The visual design in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope transformed the film industry, setting new
standards for years to come. Through animation, detailed models, sets and computer controlled
motion photography, George Lucas created a futuristic sci fi that was realistic and gripping. In Star
Wars: A New Hope, one scene stands out from all others: the Binary Sunset scene. One of the most
iconic moments from all of Star Wars, the scene uses elements of visual design that display the
forces of good and evil, destiny, and most importantly, the recurring theme of hope.
In the scene, Luke Skywalker is presented wearing a flowy white tunic, khaki pants, and wrapped,
soft soled boots. Ostensibly these are the clothes of a farm boy living on the planet Tatooine which
were inspired by the rice farming boys in Japanese paddy fields, in conjunction with the desert
climate of Lucas s fictional planet. The clothing design contributes to the ambiance of the dry
atmosphere of Tatooine: the faded light color scheme complements the heat and sandy expanses.
Furthermore, Luke s hairstyle also presents his character as young and boyish diving further into
the delineation of his character. In later films, his costume thickens and darkens representing his
maturation and character development. His white tunic not only resembles his boyish innocence
but also the force and the power of good, a key theme Lucas borrowed from the serial westerns of
the 1940s and

Monogamy Vs Polygamy
Relationships are complicated, especially romantic ones; they involve a wide range of emotions
and expectations that need to be met or the relationship will fail. When it comes to polygamy there
are even more variables added to the equation since there are additional partners involved in the
relationship. Unlike the common belief that polygamyis where a man has multiple wives, it is
actually much more in depth where both sexes can have other romantic partners. As long as one lets
their partner know who they are seeing the relationship is considered healthy, although there is still
the obvious possibility of jealousy occurring. Honesty is everything in polygamy, even though
individuals are allowed to be romantically involved with others,... Show more content on

In the United States it is illegal to be in an any of the three forms of polygamy if one is married.
In the early days Mormons were even persecuted if they were found practicing polygamy. If
individuals want to be polyamorous they must do so without being lawfully wedded to their
partners. In a society that is constantly progressing towards giving people their rights, polygamist
still struggle in being viewed as a legitimate way of life. With the gay rights movement having so
much momentum and finally becoming legal in the United States, polygamist thought the outcome
could soon be the same for them. The one major argument against polygamy is that it is a choice
unlike the predetermination of one s sexual orientation. Critics suggest that individuals should just
be single instead of engaging in a relationship where they are not faithful to one person. Although it
is not certain where the future of polygamy is headed, the controversial lifestyle is growing in
popularity as more people explore their sexual and emotional identities.
There is no doubt that as time goes on new generations develop different attitudes than their
parents which in turn shapes the modern world we live in. As far as marriages go, people are no
longer in such rush to get married, have children, and start the typical family associated with
adulthood. This in part could be because of high divorce rates that many individuals have
experienced either with their parents or someone they know. Cathy Meyer

Eyewitness Testimony And The American Psychological...
For centuries, even before the rise of modern law and judicial practices, eyewitness testimony has
been a crucial part in reaching verdicts in court. The opinions and observations of bystanders or
active participants in a crime scene are often considered to be very valuable in determining the guilt
or innocence of accused individuals. However, there has been a large amount of scrutiny in the law
world concerning both misappropriated and untrue testimonies administered in courts of law.
Although the testimonyof individuals can simply be misinterpreted or forgotten due to a variety of
reasons, eyewitnesses also provide information that can purposefully incriminate or exonerate a
defendant. Ultimately, despite its benefit in putting deserving persons behind bars, the use of
eyewitness testimony can absolutely be a dangerous monster for the innocently accused in different
scenarios. Despite thorough research supporting the dangers of eyewitness testimony, and the
constant press by the American Psychological Association (APA) and different law, psychology,
and forensics experts, there are no national guidelines conducting how law enforcement agencies
gather eyewitness identifications. In an APA brief, suggested by researchers and the Innocence
Project, sent to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, it discussed how juries often don t understand the
factors that can influence a witnessability to accurately identify a suspect. Such factors include how
much stress a witness is under,

The Colonization Of Korea Under Japanese Rule
Introduction The colonization of Korea under Japanese rule from 1910 to 1945 was one of
controversial histories as it shaped Korean society in both positive and negative ways. This
paper examines Korea s colonial relationship with Japan. In this paper, I argue the Japanese
influence of modernity was a positive gain to Korean society by referring to some examples. First
of all, this paper shows a brief history of the colonization from 1910 to 1945 to explain what was
going on during that period. Secondly, this paper discusses economic development in Koreasociety
as a positive effect because Japanese economic policy had an important role in the economy of the
colony. Thirdly, this paper analyzes three types of authority through new political system which
were created by Japanese in Korea. At the same time, this paper shows local autonomy which was
developed due to those types of authority as a positive effect. Fourthly, this paper describes the rise
of nationalism during that period as their nationalist movements affected their independence in a
positive way. In conclusion, this paper summarizes main ideas of these examples and main
argument.
A brief history of the colonization
From 1910 to 1945, Korea was under Japanese rule as a colonial country (Mackerras, Murphey
Stapleton 2012). Japan exploited Korea in various ways during while the country was occupied as a
colony. For example, living standards were really low since Japan gained a lot of raw materials and

The Lesson Plan On The Book Stone Soup Essay
The lesson plan that we chose to do our Drama Group Lesson was based on the book Stone
Soup. I suggested this book to the group as a good drama lesson, because I did my individual
lesson plan on the story Nail Soup and I thought that Stone Soup would be a great drama lesson for
this class. Another member in our group also brought up the ideaof using Stone Soupas well, which
caused us all to agree on using this book for our lesson plan. Our meeting times were postponed
due to one of our members missing school for a week for a family emergency. While this one
member was gone, I conversed with the other group member and we thoughtit was best if we waited
until the other group member returned so she would feel included and would be able to
contribute to the making of the lesson plan. Once she returned we met at the Main Library. We
met a total of two times; we were able to create a full lesson plan on a Friday, which took us a
total of about three hours to complete. We than met the following Sunday to discuss any
concerns and tweaks we would like to make to the lesson plan. We only needed to meet for a half
an hour, because we found minimal errors and thought we seemed prepared and ready to present.
We first started ready the book and found areas in the book that could be used as a drama/play
scene. We then collaborated and discussed different ways that we could use the scene. For our
story we found that there were three big scenes that could be used and we broke those

The Success Of A Business Finance For A Large Fortune 500...
Coming into college, I was quite certain I would go into corporate finance for a large Fortune
500 company, and try to slowly work my way to the top of the company. I had aspirations of being
a CEO. As freshmen year ran its course, I developed an interest in banking. From what I read
online, the profession seemed to encompass everything I was looking for in a career. These interests
included a challenging, yet rewarding career, a heavy analytical/numbers focus, communication
driven, and extensive exit opportunities.

Finally, working for two years as an analyst has some of the best exit opportunities available in
business. The door is open for me to transition to a private equity firm, a hedge fund, or stay with
the bank.
I plan on landing my first professional experience through the Investment Banking Workshop. The
workshop boasts an impressive 100% job placement. The difficult part is actually getting
accepted into the workshop. The application opens on January 1st, 2016. I will need to network
with current members of the club, and begin to prepare for the interview process. I have been
working towards the goal of entering the workshop since early freshman year. I believe I am on the
right track, and will put in all the work necessary to ensure the highest chance at success.
After gaining acceptance, I will network and prepare for my 1st semester junior year interviews
to gain an internship. Ideally, I would like to work for a bulge bracket bank. Bulge bracket banks
offer the best deal flow, along with superior exit opportunities. While I have these preconceived
opinions, I think my decision will be made based on gut feeling while networking with the banks.
Meeting with actual employees, in my experience, has been the best way to know if I fit with the
culture of the bank.

The Tragedy Of Siddhartha s Life
Siddhartha s protected environment could no longer satisfy him when he discovered the
unfortunate truths of every person s life. Occasionally, the prince would leave the palace to take
trips into the city. His father, wanting to shelter him, would orchestrate these trips to avoid the
unpleasantries of life. The story goes that four sights led Siddartha to leave his established life.
He experienced these sights on outings he was taken on by his charioteer named Chandaka.
Even though care was taken to hide these things the prince saw old age, disease, and death that
drastically changed his view of the world. On a fourth outing, he saw a holy man and a
practicing ascetic. This is when he first perceived these realities of human life. He suddenly
became aware of the causes of suffering in the world. This encounter showed him, what he
thought was the way to overcome life s sufferings, the ascetic path. At the age of twenty nine he
left his wife, his son, and his palace behind to lead a life of extreme asceticism that he believed
could lead him to the answer of overcoming human suffering. For six years Siddhartha Gautama
followed asceticism and meditation. He practiced the yoga discipline under two masters, Arada
Kalama, and Udraka Ramaputra. Not finding the answers under his two teachers he left to engage
in extreme asceticism and was joined by five others; Ashvajit, Vashpa, Bhadrika, Mahanaman, and
Kaundinya. These men became followers of Siddhartha. After six years, he

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Eclectic Theory
Abstract This article is a short overview of the Eclectic theory or ideology of teaching English. A
discovery of where the origins of the philosophy were born, and why it evolved and stayed alive in
many fields of study to this day.. While many old school linguists see it as un principled and vague
without any structure, is does have strong concepts and principles about language acquisitionand
learning environments, choices of activities and reasons for these varieties, A look at what
prominent linguists say about the advantages and the disadvantages of this theory.

Then there are standards of achievement which make it inconceivable that any single method
could achieve optimum success in all learning environments. Alan Maley (1983) said: Teachers
need to offer a variety of activities, techniques, and tasks in teaching to give equal opportunities to
students with different styles of learning so all students progress. Girard, (1972) said: Rather than
fish in one linguistic stream, we should cast our pedagogical net in all waters that might bring us
in a profitable catch (Dillon, J. M., and A. A. Long, 2004). It is a whole integrated approach, for
example, a listening activity with coordinated speaking or singing and supplementary features like
pronunciation and form of the language. In this regard Canale and Swain rightly said about the four
dimensions of communicative competence, grammar competence, sociolinguistic competence,
discourse competence, and strategic competence (Richard, 1986, p.71). It is hard to sum up
Eclectic theory in a few sentences. It is not a scientific drill or methodology nor it a teaching tool
or a learning method for the learners. The causes for change in language teaching, and in new
language teaching methods, lie, in this view, in the main with social, political or philosophical
factors (Pennycook, A.1989). Critical pedagogy is, wary of progressivism concepts characteristic in
second language teaching. With the inception of applied linguistics, along with the concept of a
scientific kind of language teaching philosophies changed. This was seen prominently in the audio
lingual methodology. Proponents of the audio lingual method (ALM) thought that they could
validate their teaching techniques by claiming that the method was based on scientific

Nathanial Hawthorne s Rappaccinis Daughter
The work I chose to write about is Hawthorne s Rappaccinis Daughter. I first want to start off by
noting that Nathanial Hawthorne is one of the most known novelists of the romanticism movement
in American Literature. One example of romanticism is the idea of the individual presenting as
more important than society. Doctor Rappaccini conducted a deadly experiment with his daughter,
Beatrice. He tells Beatrice that he did everything to make her into a super human being, but
eventually it becomes rather apparent that she was just a part of an extravagant experiment rather
than a daughter he loved.
Another aspect of romanticism that occurred in this story is the fact of nature being used to reveal
truth. The plants in the garden present

What if the Mark of the Beast was something super natural? Something directly linked to satanic
forces? A blend of technology wedded together with demonic possession? What if the delusion was
so great that The Antichrist and the False Prophet convinced the world by their signs and wonders
that humanity could become gods, and live forever simply by taking the Mark of the Beast? Are
there other clues that may suggest that The Antichrist will try to pull off the greatest deception of
all time? Notice:
Then the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the
key of the bottomless pit was given to him. 2 He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up
out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the
smoke of the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them,
as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor
any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

Mrs Dalloway Suffering Essay
In Mrs. Dalloway, Virginia Woolf highlights different experiences of everyday suffering after
World War I. Septimus Smith, a veteran of World War I, loses his identity during his tour.
Clarissa Dalloway and Lucrezia Warren Smith are both suffering as a result of society s
expectations; they both lose their individuality and succumb to their husbands. Many people did
not know how to cope with the change of perspective after the war; some people tried different
forms of treatment, while others chose to ignore the war and move forward. Virginia Woolf

Dalloway was never particularly close with Septimus, but when she heard of his death, she was
able to connect with him emotionally. Similar to Septimus, Mrs. Dalloway did not believe in

unknown; there being no more marrying, no more having of children now, but only this
astonishing and rather solemn progress with the rest of them, up Bond Street, this being Mrs.
Dalloway; not even Clarissa any more; this being Mrs. Richard Dalloway (10). Mrs. Dalloway
feels invisible in the world, and her seclusion makes her to want to reject the expectations of
society such as reproduction. Clarissa also feels as though she has lost her identity; instead of

Meno Vs Socrates
In Plato s Meno, there are many arguments Socrates and Meno encounter. They never seem to find
a common ground and that leads to disagreements. The disagreements seem to never become an
agreement because not only does Socrates makes it so difficult to give a definition of a word that
he thinks is suitable but Meno is just letting him change his mind about his definition. The
argument does not just consist on if knowledgean opinion can be taught, they argue that knowledge
can be the only way to find correct actions, but opinion can also mean the same. Meno brings up a
question, What makes Knowledge so prized than correct opinion. Socratesanswers with an example

It s basically something that he or she may already believe, but just need to be taught in order for it
to become knowledge.
I belief that saying that a person can be taught to have knowledge is the same as saying a person
who already beliefs in a topic or subject has a opinion. Which we know that opinion can be
taught, but so can knowledge because you are teaching an opinion that soon will become a
piece of information in a person s mind and that is what the definition is for knowledge. In other
words, by learning an Opinion then they also will be receiving knowledge. Again like Socrates
explains what Daedalus had told him about how we all will always have knowledge but our true
opinion can be lost and maybe never be thought again. For a true opinion to stay in our minds we
need to practice and think about the idea or a fact and turn it into an argument. In conclusion, a
man or woman who has both knowledge and True Opinions one will only be stored in the long
term part of your brain and the other will only be stored in the short term part of the brain. His
and her knowledge with be stored in the long term memory because they both will need that for a

The German Shepherd Dog Essay
German Shepherd Dog
The German Shepherd is not only one of the world s most popular companion dogs, but also
probably the most widely used breed for service work. The development of the German Shepherd
Dog, along with a number of existing breeds, helped pioneer the modern use of dogs for service
and community work that we can see today. For a breed of dog that has only been officially
recognised for just over 100 years, it has made an outstanding contribution to mankind worldwide.
The origins of the breed came from various sheep dogs found in Germany during the last century.
In the second half of the 19th century, dog breed fanciers began to fix the type of sheep dog found
in Germany that would eventually form the basis of the modern ... Show more content on

The success of guide dogs has since been proven worldwide. The United States also later formed a
Seeing Eye Dog School using German Shepherds. This occurred in 1929 in the US State of New
Jersey. Although the Labrador retrieverdoes the majority of guide dog work in Australia, the
German Shepherd remains one of the most popular choices for this type of work worldwide.
During the 1920 s, canine movie stars such as Rin Tin Tin and Strongheart made the breed
extremely popular outside of Germany. Great harm was caused as unscrupulous breeders, keen to
cash in on this newfound popularity, introduced poor breeding practices which, along with some
irresponsible owners, worked against the founding principles of the breed.
Anti German sentiment following the First World War, caused the British to re name the breed as
the Alsatian Wolf Dog. Although all dogs are thought to have evolved from wolves, the name
Alsatian Wolf Dog led some people to believe the German shepherd had been directly bred from
wolves. The truth is that the German shepherd carries no more wolves blood than any other breed.
The year 1925 saw the breed s official Australian history begin with the importation of Crufts
winner Ito of Fallowdale into Australia. Also on the same boat was Pinkerton Rhoda. As a number
of further importations followed, graziers and pastoralists in Australia began to express concerns
that the breed was dangerous. This was partly based on the

Effects of U.S. Foreign Policy on Cuba
The foreign policy of the United States toward Cuba over the past fifty years has caused many
problems for the Cuban society and its people, and relations between the two nations have been at
odds for decades due to the harsh foreign policy stance of the United States toward Cuba. The
United States has considered Cuba as its enemy ever since July 1960 when Fidel Castro s new
revolutionary government changed everything. Castro seized privately owned land in Cuba,
nationalized several privately owned companies (most of which were subsidiaries of U.S.
businesses), and heavily taxed American products which led to U.S. exports being reduced greatly,

Therefore, the U.S. banned trade with and travels to Cuba and considered all countries who do
engage in Cuban trade and travel to be an enemy to the U.S. (Arcelaschi 1). When the United
States learned of Cuba s communist affiliations they did not take time to analyze the situation and
quickly cut off all relations and access to the nation, which sent a message but did nothing to
destroy communism. Even after a course of several decades with the harsh isolationist policy in
place, Castro s communist regime is still firmly in power. The U.S. was too quick in its decision
and attempt to take out the communist government and took drastic measures by imposing a full
embargo to try to solve a problem that could have been solved in a much more effective and ethical
way.
The relatively short distance between Cuba and the U.S. naturally led to a long and involved
history of relations between the two nations, but relations between the two nations over the past
fifty years have been unhealthy and harmful to both nations. The embargo imposed by the U.S. has
only been damaging and unhelpful to the situation. As a result of the new government s
nationalization policy, American investors suffered major losses and the U.S. retaliated in July
1960 by canceling planned purchases of Cuban sugar (Crouch 70). This was the first act of neglect
toward Cuba that would only quickly progress until all trade and relations were cut off with Cuba.

Critical Analysis Of Eric Schlosser s Your Trusted Friends
Oftentimes, writers of argumentative essays will explicitly state their claim, establishing a position
on a topic in a clear and concise manner. In doing so, writers arguments are essentially more
effective in representing the chosen subject matter. In Your Trusted Friends , investigative journalist
Eric Schlosser writes that Walt Disneyand Ray Kroc perfected the art of selling to children,
however, this writing is laced with numerous, hidden, implications. Schlosser s work
subconsciously suggests that companies like Disney and McDonald s prey on children in order to
gain profit. This, therefore, makes his argument weak overall, since instead of blatantly expressing
his opinion, he leaves his audienceto guess about the overall purpose of the piece.
Throughout the writing, Schlosser provides historical and statistical information about both the
businessmen, Disney and Kroc, and their individual companies. In the third paragraph, he writes
about the shared experiences between the men, from growing up in the same hometown to serving

Sour Dough Diet
Many Americans love the delicious, yet fattening, carbohydrate recognized as bread. Usually,
we all eat bread when it is stuffed with meat and cheese, but most can t resist the taste of certain
breads without the added accompaniments. Sour Dough bread, being a popular favorite, is
most commonly made by preparing your starter dough, feeding the starter dough, then finally
kneading and baking the loaves. The first step is making the starter dough. Before starting, make
sure you have a large, non metallic bowl for mixing. Making sure your bowls are non metallic
ensures that the dough will not ruin. Mix together dry yeast, two cups of warm water, and two
cups of all purpose flour. Once you have mixed all of your ingredients, obtain the mix with a
loose seal and leave the starter dough in a warm place to ferment for four to eight days and check
on it occasionally. Making sure the breadis well fermented will improve the quality of the dough.
Once the days have passed, the mixture is bubbly, and there is a pleasantly sour smell; the starter
dough is ready to be used. If the starter... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After you take the start er dough out of the refrigerator and leave it on the counter for at least an
hour, you will mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Mixing the dry ingredients separate will
help the process stay organized. These dry ingredients include: sugar, bread flour, and potato
flakes. Once the ingredients are mingled together, contribute the mix with the existing starter
dough. Now the dough is fed and the mushy mess will need to sit and warm to room temperature.
Once bubbles start to float to the top, you are finally ready for your last step. After leaving the
dough out for a day, combine six cups of bread flour, one cup of sugar, one tablespoon of salt, a
half cup of oil, one and a half cups of the starter dough, and a half cup of warm water until the mix
is thick. This combination will take you to the last

Analysis Of Hughes s Poem Light Of This
However, the ambiguity of Hughes s poetry may be derived not so much from a desire to obscure
truthful representation, but from the inherently traumatic impact of this act of writing. In light of
this, Hughes s fragmentary syntax and the episodic construction of the Birthday Letters sequence,
may well be understood as a literal manifestation of his attempt to pull together a scattered,
dispersed, or lost series of recollections (Freeman, 30); the trauma of which constantly resists any
easy assimilation into language. Usually within the discourse of psychoanalysis, it is simply the
process of describing a traumatic experience, representing it within language, which forces it to be
externalized, contained and thus assuaged. While Hughes certainly seeks to attain this same
catharsis, through a kind of scriptotherapy (Henke, xxii) his poetic style simultaneously invokes
the raw and uncooled processes of its own production. As John Carey writes in a review for the
Sunday Times, The language is like lava, its molten turmoils hardening into jagged shapes, still hot
from the earth s core. ( Fatal Attraction ). In order to understand Hughes s magmatic poetrymore
effectively, it is useful to consider Julia Kristeva s conception of the signifying process (84) as
proposed in Revolution in Poetic Language (1979). Kristeva conceives of communicative acts as
composed of a balance between symbolic and semiotic aspects (95, The Kristeva Reader). The
symbolic may be

Higher Income Tax
Rich People should not have to pay more taxes. They pay higher income tax, they should not be
punished for doing well financially, and when tax rates increase rich people flee.
One of the reasons why they should not pay more taxes is they already pay higher income tax. In
America the top 3,000 people pay more income tax than the bottom 9 million people.(Wilmers 1).
Also, the top 20% of households account for 51% of all income but pay 68% of all federal
taxes.(Sivy 1). If the top 3,000 people are already paying higher income tax then why should they
be taxed more for other things. If only 20% account for it then why are we raising tax on the rich
for that problem.
They should also not be punished for doing well financially. Owners of properties worth over 2
million dollars would face a charge or rise in tax from 700 million to 1.7 billion dollars.(Ojalvo,
2). Also, 46% of adults pay no federal tax.(Sivy, 2). They could face that charge but why because
they are doing well and own a new house that would mean even more money than they already
pay. And if 46% pay none of the tax than why should rich people should have pay for it.... Show

Amendments Of The Fifth Amendment
This Amendment was passed by Congress on September 25, 1789 and was ratified by the states
December 15, 1789. It is a part of the Bill of Rights, the first Ten Amendments of the
Constitution. The Fifth Amendment has five sections or clauses. Clause number one The right
to a Grand Jury Hearing. The Grand Jury decides whether to indict a person. This is not a trial.
The exception to this clause is, land or naval forces in service during time of war or public
danger. Article 1 Section 8 gives the authority for the use of Military Courts for the Armed
Forces. This denies military personnel the same rights as civilians. Clause number two is the
Double Jeopardy Clause. This protects you from being prosecuted twice for the same crime
after conviction or acquittal, or multiple punishments for the same crime. This does not count if
one is a civil case and one is a criminal case. A person can be prosecuted by the state and the
federal government if he/she has committed a crime in state and federal jurisdiction. Usually the
federal side will concede to the state and not prosecute. Clause number three is the Self
Incrimination Clause. This clause protects from a person that has been accused of a crime from
being forced to testify against him/herself. We are innocent until proven guilty, it is the job of the
state or federal governments to prove guilt. Words can be changed in ways physical evidence
cannot. Information from sobriety tests, voice samples etc. are admissible in court,

Imperfection and Faith in A Good Man is Hard to Find and...
Knowing Flannery O Connor s religious conviction, one cannot overlook this underlying tone in
both of her regarded stories A Good Man is hard to Find and Good Country People . It is often
said of those who stand outside of religious conviction that faith seems to come in handy to
people only when it is valuable to get them out of a predicament, of which they have likely placed
themselves through insensitive behavior and decisions. In such a desperate attempt to appeal to
faith, one only finds emptiness and a fate that leaves them hopeless or even dead. O Connor s A

The grandmother s bigotry is also on display as the family rides past a black youth standing near his

little pickaninny! (12). When her granddaughter June Starr comments on the boy s lack of clothing,
the grandmother explains that little niggers in the country don t have things like we do (12). As the
grandmother emits racism through her comments, she is also inserting such notion into her
grandchildren s minds. Nor Bailey or his wife says anything, so it can be suggested that they are
used to such comments and may hold the same views as well. The grandmother does not see a
reason to be empathetic; the boy waves and she does return the gesture. Instead she romanticizes the
boy s plight as a missed opportunity, suggesting that If [she] could paint, [she d] paint that picture

Psychoanalyticism In The Tempest
The Tempest Critical Essay
During this course of the play the psychoanalytical criticism can be applied while reading the
scenes in The Tempest. As Freud argues that all humans have a dark side to them, we tend to hide
this side of us as we get older. In the Tempest, Caliban could represent this uncontrolled side of
human nature. Caliban is seen to be the superego which is can be seen to be evident when he does
not wish to receive Prospero s physical punishments. Despite his punishments, his desires fail to
remain within him. Caliban is also missing his mother in this play which leads him to feel
inadequacy. Prospero is one of the only obstacles between him and Miranda. Prospero s desire for
power and control over the characters in the play, shows Freud s theory coming into play, if one
craves power, it is possibly because one has lacked in its childhood.
This play has symbols that represent the imagery in it. The symbol water is often shown
through this play either by saying or showing it. The image of water is often shown to be
deadly. As Ferdinand lost his father at sea, he deems to think that his father drowned as they
were involved in a shipwreck. Water plays a huge symbol and image in this play as the setting
takes place on an Island near the Bermuda Triangle. Water in this play is to be seen as a lost.
Ariel s song leads Ferdinand to think that his father drowned at sea and is gone forever. Ariel s song

It s Time To Raise Of Pigs In High School
Thanks to the Future Farmers of America there are several reasons to raise a pig during one s
years in high school. However, these motives may be unclear to the naked eye of a visitor. For
example, I managed to befriend a foreign exchange student from Denmark this year and the
concept of raising a pig simply to slaughter it and present its carcass to a crowd of people who
would proceed to bid ridiculous amounts of money with each raise of a card. Though it may seem
morbid, this entire process can be quite beneficial to an average high school student. The very first
thing to do when considering raising a pigis designating a place for it to live during its stay with
you. This spot should have unlimited access to both sunlight and shade, water and food, and some
puddles for it to cool off in would not be too bad. However, the pig should be in a safe
environment where it cannot be scratched by any sharp objects that may cause harm to the product

The Innocence of Lamb in Songs of Innocence by William Blake
Songs of Innocence by William Blake collocates the naГЇve lives of children and loss of innocence
of adults, with moral Christian values and how religion has the capacity to promote cruelty and
prejudice. Blake was born in 1757, up to and after the French Revolution he wrote many works
criticizing enlightened rationalism and instead focused on intellectual ideas that avoided
institutionalization and propelled ethical and moral order. Blake s collection of poem exposes and
explores the values and limitations of secular and religious institutions. The Lambfocuses on
children s naivetГ©s and innocence, but also curiosity in regards to faith, and ideas of nature and
God. Though naivetГ© and meekness are present throughout The Lamb , Blake focuses on an
underlying Christian theme of combining the pastoral with the spiritual. For example, the speaker,
a boy, talks to a lamb, his beastly counterpart. The boy, speaking to the lamb asks. Little lamb, who
made thee? (Blake 1). The opening query asked by the boy represents rhetoric of both the natural
and spiritual world. Bryan Aubrey, in his critical essay of the lamb states, everything in creation is
embraced by the tenderness of the divine...[there] is no separation between human self, the natural
world, and the divine kingdom (Aubrey 1). Therefore, just as Blake suggests the lamb does not just
represent the innocent but is the principal idea of the poem. The lamb represents unity among
nature and religious creation.

The Pitiful Human Condition Exposed in Endgame, Dumbwaiter, and The Horse Dealer s Daughter
The three stories, The Endgame (Beckett), The Dumbwaiter (Pinter), and The Horse Dealer s
Daughter (Lawrence) all deal with the themes of repression, repetition, and breakdowns in
communication. The stories show us the subjectivity of language and exemplify the complexities of
the human condition.
Samuel Beckett arrived on earth in Ireland on Good Friday, April 13, 1906. He then spent the rest
of his life wanting to be somewhere else. Beckett s life was one of silence, solitude, and
depression. He felt he did not belong in this world and he was disenchanted with societal convention

The play premiered on April 3, 1957 at the Royal Court Theatre in London in French and was
Beckett s second masterpiece.
Beckett s plays typically take place in one room signifying a type of prison to its inhabitants. The
characters endlessly repeat patterns of behavior such as repetitive questions, looking out windows,
and telling the same stories. These repetitions are symbolic of the inane repetitions that human
beings make every day wake up, go to work, come home, go to sleep.
The absolute meaninglessness of this repetition is part of the human condition. The wait for death
is unavoidable. The human being is born, lives, and then dies. Beckett s point is that there is no
meaning to life, he calls it absurd . Beckett participated in The Theater of the Absurd , which was a
French movement in the fifties and wrote plays with this theme of nothingness .
Influenced by Beckett and The Theater of the Absurd was Harold Pinter. Important to
understanding Pinter s plays is understanding the nature of silence. Pinter categorized speech as that
which attempts to cover the nakedness of silence. In The Dumbwaiter, the dumb waiter symbolizes
a disconnection in human communication. The two characters, Gus and Ben, are hit men awaiting
orders on who is their next victim. Their orders are (presumably) finally sent down from the above
floor via the dumb waiter. The characters, like the

Introduction
For days, months, years, even decades, the conflict between Israel and Palestine has raged, leaving
thousands of dead in its wake. The Jewish people once lived in the land now known as either
Israel or Palestine. They were forced out in 70 A.D. in what is now known as the Jewish Diaspora
after attempting a revolt against the Romans that, in hindsight, was probably not a good idea. Who

This proves that Israel is a valid place for a Jewish state because God has promised Israel to
Abraham and his descendants. Reason Wrap Up In short, one of the reasons Israel was created
as a Jewish state in 1948 is that in their scriptures say that they have been promised Israel by God.
International support There are two great reasons Zionism or International Support back up the
creation of Israel that I will explain to you, but I m sure there are plenty more. First evidence
The people kept faith with [Israel] throughout their Dispersion (Diaspora) and never ceased to
hope and pray for their return to it, as said in Document B. This shows that Israelis have always
wanted to return and have kept the dream alive and have historical ties to Israel. Second evidence
Also, quoted from Document B is the evidence, The United Nations General Assembly passed a
resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz Israel. Eretz Israel, by the way,
is just Israel by a different name. Moving on, this proves that Israel should have been created as a
Jewish state in 1948

Road King Trucks Case Analysis Essay
Abstract
This paper is an analysis of Road King Trucks new project which is introducing a new product into
its product line. I will decide whether run the project or not. Six issues will be discussed as follows
1) importance of energy cost; 2) project s cash flows; 3) cost of capital; 4) choose an engine 5)
evaluation 6) accept or reject.
We should accept the project because of the positive NPV and high IRR. We will gain $532
million in wealth which is a big money on the scale like this. The company has a bond rating of
AA that makes the risk relatively low. So we should definitely say yes.

Cost of Capital (see table 2) I used WACC as the discount factor, we expect the rate of return to be
higher than it, the same at least. The WACC reflects the average risk and overall capital structureof
the entire firm [2]. It s the required return and it presents how much the company pays for the
capital it finances. In this case, the cost of equity is 10.33%, the cost of debt is 6.50%. I calculated
WACC using those numbers and got a result of 8.49%.
Choose an Engine (see table 3)
There are two options for engines will be installed on buses. And so are the warranties. The
decision should be made according to engines quality, effectiveness, etc. But to investors, cost is
the main factor. In this case, Detroit engine has an installation cost of $20,000 and a warranty of
$1,000 each year for 5 years; the cost of installation of Marcus engine is $2,000 less but the
warranty is $1,500 per year. To figure out the cost I calculated the NPVs of each year for 20 years.
The NPVs of the warranties for each bus are same at the year it been produced. For example, the
warranty of a Detroit engine has a NPV of $4,276 in the year it been produced. (This method is
coming from Mr. Hasse. I used to combine the warranty for each year and use those numbers in
calculation.)
The NPV of installation cost and warranty of Detroit engine is $252,154,

Later in the case, it points out that KPMG was warned by its own tax experts and others that the

Jackie Robinson And The Baseball
Jackie Robinson did not only help initiate the integration of the game of baseball, but he also
helped initiate integration throughout America. The film Soul of the Game does not go into all of
the details regarding his career on the Brooklyn Dodgers, but rather it depicts his life and choices
leading up to his career in the Major Leagues. This film portrays important themes such as
segregation, perseverance, and doubt, and it applies to history in the beginning of the story of
Jackie Robinsonand how America has gotten to where it is now. Although the court case of
Plessy v. Ferguson declared segregation to be legal as long as things were equal in 1896,
baseball had already done this about ten years prior. There was a creation of the Negro League in
the 1920s through the 1940s so that African Americans could have the same opportunities and

Robinson was a rookie player on the Kansas City Monarchs, a Negro League team, and being along

Task: Why do people find it easier to do evil than good? Due date: 06th August, 2012.
In human life there are two things that may identify the human beings. Some of these things are
whether the human beings do evil or good. In this case some people may find it easier to do evil
than good. Before looking at the reason s why people find it easy to do evil than good it is
important to define first these two terms. The term good may be defined ... Show more content on
Helpwriting.net ...
In so doing, people may opt for doing evil than good. In this reason, scholars indicate that, most of
the times evil things outweighs the good just because of the humanity lazy nature. Therefore
people may find it easier to do evil other than good because they know that through evil they will
fulfill their aims in a simple way unlike good which needs much effort to be fulfilled.
Another thing that makes people to easily choose doing evil and leave good is desire.
Sometimes people may go for evil than good in order to fulfill their desires. This term desire is
used to explain what one wishes to be or to do. Human beings find it easier to do evil than good
in order to satisfy their wishes. Every man or woman desires to live in his or her own particular
way of living and does everything in order to achieve his or her wishes. For example, two kinds
of people in the society, that is to say, the prominent figures in the society as well as the ordinary
or the poor people may choose the evil ways to fulfill their desires. People may use corruption to
achieve whatever they plan to do. In this case for example, world activities provide setting in which
one is required to exhibit moral goodness but the actual content of these activities have no intrinsic
value. Some scholars indicate that, the fulfillment of one s duty may have beneficial consequences

The Modern Plague Of Overpopulation
Unlike plagues of the dark ages or contemporary diseases we do not understand, the modern
plague of overpopulation is soluble by means we have discovered and with resources we
possess. What is lacking is not sufficient knowledge of the solution but universal consciousness
of the gravity of the problem and education of the billions who are its victim. This was said by
Martin Luther King, Jr on May 5, 1966. If this was said almost 49 years ago by one of the greatest
leaders of American history, why hasn t the issue of overpopulationbeen solved yet? Simply
because we lack the universal consciousness of the serious issues overpopulation bring and the
education required on how to prevent it. The world just can t support every single human being if
we continue to ignore the issue. So what would happen globally if the demand for natural
resources is greater than the supply? There will be conflicts and wars, environmental degradation
and climate change. In addition to having a high demand for natural resources and a low supply, it
will also cause a rise in unemployment and raise the cost of living.
There will be many wars and conflicts to come due to fact that there just won t be enough
resources for everybody. Michael Klare, professor of peace and world security studies at
Hampshire College, and the author, most recently, of The Race for What s Left: The Global
Scramble for the World s Last Resources, informs us that there have been a total of six global

An old friend of mine went through these issues, with continuous and serious substance abuse along
with conduct problems. Personally, I believe that there is a serious lack of justification to begin
abusing substances, however, I understand that there are many factors that are involved when

I feel that this is an important comparison due to the fact that parents usually have a greater
knowledge surrounding substance abuse and conduct issues, because they have had enough time to
experience and view these situations. It is also important due to the close relationships that parents
have with their children. The perspectives differ in a great way depending on the parent and
adolescent. Undoubtedly, there is not a parent that would wish a SUD or conduct issues on their
child, however, adolescents can see this as a punishment to their parent. In the particular situation
that I experienced my friend and her mother had unequivocal opposing perspectives on the matter,
the adolescent saw substance abuse as a minor action, with minor consequences, to gain that
temporary euphoric state of mind, and to cope with difficult circumstances; while the mother saw
this substance abuse as a major action, with major, life threatening consequences. While the
mother believed all of this, there was almost a lack of following through with the situation, she
didn t want to believe that her daughter could be doing all of these things, so she chose not to
see it. I believe that the perspectives of each group differ due to the considerable age gap and
different experiences, while one group (the adolescent) is enduring hardships during school time,
the other group (the parent) could have had different experiences in school, or has been graduated
so long that the hardships of school are forgotten. The gap of age is important also due to the

working class based on what I knew from growing up with family members and even my father
being apart of the working class. This book reinforced a lot ideas that I had about the working
class and opened my eyes into what it means to live above the poverty line.
During Ehrenreich s time spent in Florida she talked about the housing options and how much it
cost to live in Key West (a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the book Ehrenreich s co workers all seem to struggle, such as the trouble with
housing in Key West and healthcare in Maine. Having a place to live, eating properly, and
healthcare seem to be the biggest cause of concern within the working class. Most of the jobs
that she worked, the workers did not have healthcare packages or benefits. So it wasn t
uncommon for them to have trouble trying to manage their health and struggle to pay for
medication, let alone a visit to the doctor. Without healthcare and a lack of proper diet (in Maine
she had a thirty minute lunch break but most of her co workers barely ate anything close to a
meal) it is not hard to see how the working class can easily be shot into poverty; seeing as most of
the working class that she had encountered were just living above the poverty line. Reading about
what she noticed and noted about her co workers it isn t hard to imagine how easy it would be to
fall below the poverty

Ice Cube ( O Shea Jackson
Gangsta rap originated in the late 1980 s. Ice Cube (O Shea Jackson) of the rap group NWA
(Niggaz with Attitude) wrote the song Gangsta Gangsta, and it shocked America with its violent,
sexist, and obscene lyrics. Gangsta Gangsta ushered in a new genre of hip hop music called
gangsta rap, which became identified with Compton, a predominately black and Latino working
class and working poor neighborhood in Los Angeles . Many people did not agree with the sexist
and indecent lyrics in gangsta rap even though the lyrics were telling the story of many people who
lived in this reality.
Gangsta rap acted as an outlet so such people could express themselves angrily and not in fear
that they were going to be silenced for telling the truth. They often used gangsta rap to tell the
stories of their lives, which sometimes included strong violence, hypersexuality, and drug abuse.
This music style was new and different. Gangsta rap was authentic and helped tell a story with its
deep lyrics. During the 1990s, Republican and Democratic politicians and some black leaders
blamed, not all hip hop music, but gangsta rap for all of the black communities social problems:
drug use, teenage pregnancy, unemployment, gang violence, and high school dropouts. Even
though these problems existed in the black community prior to gangsta rap, this music and culture
has provided a convenient target to avoid addressing the causes of the real problems of black
America: racism, sexism, and poverty .

The House Of Bernarda Alba Themes
Freedom and Repression: How opposing themes go hand in hand In the play by Federico Garcia
Lorca, The House of Bernarda Alba, a recurring theme throughout the play is freedom. Lorca
expresses freedom using characters, situations and objects. The characters in the story are
Bernarda s daughters who are under her control and have extremely little freedom and privacy by
being forced to abide by her rules. Freedom and Repression are most significant themes conveyed
throughout the play, the two opposing themes together are important to understanding both the
characters and the story as well. In the beginning of the play the girls are put into an eight year
mourning period by Bernarda because of the death of their father. She... Show more content on

Martirio once had a man interested in her but that opportunity was snatched away from her by
Bernarda. On page 191 Poncia says, Martirio is lovesick, I don t care what you say. Why didn t
you let her marry enrique Humanas? Why, on the very day he was coming to her window did
you send him a message not to come? And Bernarda responded, ... My blood won t mingle with
the Humanas while I live! This is an example of how different Martirio s circumstances were
from Adela and Angustias. Martirio was repressed from her desire for freedom from her mother
and became jealous when her sister s were not denied in the same way. These two themes lead
the characters to believe that escaping one prison will make them free, only to be confined to
another. This is the situation the women in the play recognize as a inner conflict. An example
of this is on page 169 when Amelia says, These days a girl doesn t know whether to have a beau
or not. Additionally, On page 208 Adela says, I can t stand this horrible house after the taste of
his mouth. I ll be what he wants me to be. This quote shows how the girls view men as an escape
from their sheltered home. Men represent freedom as well as repression. For Example, On page
169 it says ... Her sweetheart doesn t let her go out even to the front doorstep. This shows us that
Bernarda s daughters realize if they stay at home forever, they will be controlled by their mother,

The Contrast of the Heian Era Courtier and the Kamakura Samurai April 29, 2011 The Contrast
of the Heian Era Courtier and the Kamakura Samurai The major periods that shaped Japan s
history and future were the Heian era of Aristocracy and the Kamakura period of Samurai. The
Heian era and the Kamakura period are interesting because of their differences in social structure,
tradition, and culture. In the Heian era, the aristocrat s social class was sought by many because
of their social and cultural status. When the warrior rise in the Kamakura age the social classes
change dramatically between aristocrat and warrior. The Heian era (794 1191) was an age of self

In 1159, Kiyomori of the Taira clan was victorious over the Minamoto clan. Kiyomori murdered
all the adults of the Monamoto clan and forced the children into exile. The emperor rewarded
Kiyomori victory by giving him an advisor position in the government. This event was significant
because Kiyomori was the first warrior in Japan s government. Like the Fujiwara family, Kiyomori
desired a royal bloodline within the Taira clan. So the Taira clan consorted with the imperial family
in efforts to secure an imperial bloodline. Later, Kiyomori obtain a higher government position and
more importantly a grandson was born and is heir to the throne. Feeling cheated an imperial prince
sought the exiled Minamoto to overthrow the Taria clan. In 1180, Yoritomo of the Minamoto clan
formed an army and battled with Taira clan that is known as the Genpei War. Eventually, Kiyomori
died and the Taria clan shortly declined after him. During these battles warriors ran amok pillaging
the Japan s cuntryside. To end the chaos and violence the imperial turned to Yoritomo. Yoritomo in
return raise an army of samurais and took complete control of the government and transformed it
into a military government. The Kamakura government consisted of the emperor, shogun, and the
house men. The emperor served merely as a figurehead, he little to no control of his government.

The Myth Of The Ant Queen
While technology is commonly thought of as inventions and gadgets, anything that humans have
developed for specific purposes or to accomplish certain goals, such as methods or models, must
also be correctly categorized as such. In Cathy Davidson s essay Project Classroom Makeover, she
discusses a few unconventional forms of technology such as the educational classroom paradigm
and standardization. Similarly, in Steve Johnson s essay The Myth of the Ant Queen, he presents
procedural technology, such as self organizing systems, and conceptual technology, collaborative
intelligence. He then utilizes another conceptual form of technology, the complexity theory, to
interpret these systems seemingly uncoordinated patterns. Sherry Turkle branches off of Davidson
and Johnson s ideas by discussing the consequences of questioning what makes a robot alive in her
essay Alone Together. This narrative highlights the technology s effect on humans and the reality of
robots either improving or diminishing an individual s quality of life. Besides the slight
apprehension of its future usage, humans are mesmerized by the promising potential technology
presents. Additionally, structural or paradigmatic technology is deeply intertwined and inherent
within society s functioning, making it impossible to separate technology from human existence.
Models and frameworks for systems, also known as paradigms, are innate in all organizations and
push the limits of human creativity, knowledge, and

Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is a puddle iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Marsin Paris. Built in
1889, it has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable
structures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris and the most visited paid
monument in the world; millions of people ascend it every year. Named after its designer, engineer
Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance arch to the 1889 World s Fair.
The tower stands 324 metres tall, about the same height as an 81 storey building. During its
construction, the Eiffel Towersurpassed theWashington Monument to assume the title of the tallest
man made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years, until the Chrysler Building in ... Show

The tower was much criticized by the public when it was built, with many calling it an eyesore.
Newspapers of the day were filled with angry letters from the arts community of Paris. The pig
iron structure of the Eiffel Tower weighs 7,300 tones, while the entire structure, including non
metal components, is approximately 10,000 tones. As a demonstration of the economy of design,
if the 7,300 tones of the metal structure were melted down it would fill the 125 metre square base
to a depth of only 6 cm, assuming the density of the metal to be 7.8 tones per cubic meter.
Depending on the ambient temperature, the top of the tower may shift away from the sun by up to
18 cm because of thermal expansion of the metal on the side facing the sun.
Maintenance of the tower includes applying 50 to 60 tones of paint every seven years to protect
it from rust. The height of the Eiffel Tower varies by 15 cm due to temperature. In order to
maintain a uniform appearance to an observer on the ground, three separate colors of paint are
used on the tower, with the darkest on the bottom and the lightest at the top. On occasion the color
of the paint is changed; the tower is currently painted a shade of bronze. On the first floor there are
interactive consoles hosting a poll for the color to use for a future session of painting. The only non
structural elements are the four decorative grillwork arches, added in Stephen Sauvestre s sketches,

Sdn Migration Research Paper
Traditional networks to SDN migration
Organizations are working to develop and implement more automation and intelligence into their
networks. They are also trying to find methods to reduce Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and
Operational Expenditure (OPEX) while deploying new networks or when they are growing their
networks on a large scale basis. Software Defined Networking (SDN) provides the best experience
in terms of easy, and efficient network managementusing automation, virtualization, and
scalability. SDN also helps in reducing CAPEX and OPEX by allowing reusability of the same
hardware for multiple scenarios.
Organizations are carefully exploring different methods for migrating their traditional networks into

The scale of migration should be carefully planned as per the existing topology and also depending
on the future topology requirements. vi. A timeline is very important for a successful migration.
Organizations should plan the timeline for either a hybrid SDN topology or for a complete SDN
topology. A timeline can help map dates to the required objectives or migration goals.
2.Design
a.Proof of Concept (POC) and virtual simulation,
i.Develop a POC or a virtual SDN topology using online labs to understand the benefits and
limitations of SDN. In a large scale topology, it is not feasible to develop a POC for the entire
topology, but we can segregate the topology into modules and work on each module individually
and then later integrates the different modules. This approach will ease the actual migration efforts.
ii. POC implementation will help eliminate costly errors later in the Software Development Life
cycle (SDLC) by helping us detect errors during the planning or design phase itself. iii. POC helps
in the effective budget allocation and SDN topology understanding. It helps us to efficiently
implement the migration with less crucial errors
b.SDN Network design,
i.SDN topology should be designed to provide support to existing traditional applications and at the
same time, offer better network control, performance, and reliability. ii. SDN topology can be

Pastor Burnout
Introduction
Pastors, also commonly referred to as ministers, or clergy, entering the church ministry profession
largely attribute their vocational choice to a sense of calling (Beebe, 2007; Dodd, 2012; Lee,
2010; Meek, McKinn, Brower, Burnett, 2003; Oleson, 2011). Calling within a pastoral context can
be defined as an obligation to live out a mission, set by God, to work for a purpose other than one s
own (Dodd, 2012). Evidently, regardless of the preceding foundational objective to their
professional choice, studies show a high attrition rate amongst pastors, due to stress and burnout
(Beebe, 2007; Dodds, 2012; Krejcir, 2007). Stress is an event or a series of events that lead to
strain, which can result in physical and psychological health problems (Corey, et al., 2015, p. 58).
Burnout is a state of physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual depletion characterized by
feelings of helplessness and hopelessness (Corey, et al., 2015, p. 60). A study by Francis A.
Schaeffer Institute of Church Leadership Development of 1,050 pastors revealed telling statistics.
For example, 100% of pastors surveyed attested to personally knowing at least one colleague who
left the pastorate due to either burnout, moral failure, or church conflict related stress. Additionally,

Characteristics Of The Millennial Generation
Review of Literature
Every generation has unique characteristics, attitudes, values, and beliefs which influence how they
view the world. Significant life events that occur at critical stages of development can also
influence and shape each generation. Homelanders, Digital Natives, iGeneration, Plurals, and
Generation Z are all names associated with the newest generation. Although there is some debate
about when the millennial generation ended and this new generation began, most researchers agree
with a mid to late 1990 s start. For the purposes of this study, this generation will be referred to as
Generation Z (Gen Z), born between 1995 and 2012 (Stillman Stillman, 2017). Significant events
that have shaped and influenced this generation are terrorism, economic recession, racial unrest,
global competition, and social and ideological pluralism (Elmore, 2015) (White, 2017).
According to White (2017), Gen Z is growing up in what is considered the first truly post
Christian generation. In light of this new reality, the church must rethink its strategy in order to
engage and transform this generation. Adolescence is a time of discovering identity and
questioning of one s beliefs and values. Unfortunately, outdated social and religious traditions
have left Gen Z with a feeling of meaningless and have failed to provide purpose or a sense of
belonging (Verma Maria, 2006). This study will measure the spiritual practices and generational
characteristics of Gen Z and then explore

As a free trade area, members of ASEAN countries expect it to be more comfortable in the flow of

has won the most medals in the summer olympics, a total of 2189. One thing that has not
changed is the most viewed event. It has been track since the first modern olympics. This is very

  • 2. Case Study Of Libra Motors Everyone dreams of modernisation. But how often do we realise the sacrifices made for the same? Libra Motors Limited is one of the largest automobile company in India, with consolidated revenues of INR 2,32,834 crores (USD 38.9 billion) in 2013 14. It leads in the various segments and has come out with winning products like compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. The Libra Motors Group employs 60,000 people who are guided by the mission to be passionate in anticipating and providing the best vehicles and experiences that excite our customers globally. Libra Motors was established in 1945, and has expanded its presence across India over... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Libra Motors came up with the proposition of setting small manufacturing units for all the car parts, in the proximity of the main car manufacturing project. This would mean that atleast a 100 acres of land would be required to set up a factory that big a size. The company was shown five other spots as well in the West Bengal region to set up the factory; but the management thought that the land near Rasulpur, which is directly on the National Highway, would prove to be beneficial and easy to access via daily transportation. The rapid rise in the population of West Bengal has not been accompanied by significant economic growth. Indicators to show the same are low poverty rates, unemployment and low job growth rates. Local politicians tried to come into power by promising agricultural land to farmers. However, small land holdings were not enough for the locals to survive. Hence, the shift from agriculture to industrialisation was considered, which would give a chance to the locals to earn ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The National Security Language Initiative For Youth Last semester I was in India with a study abroad program sponsored by the State Department. The National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI Y) was created in part to learn languages not often spoken in the United States but also to create cross cultural education and understanding. World peace can be achieved by broadening each other s perspectives through everyday interactions. This idea forms an essential part of NSLI Y s mission: that we can improve understanding between our country and others, and this is achievable if each one of us decides to be the change that we hope to see in our communities. This mission aligns with both my personal and future professional missions, and as a NSLI Y student and alumna, I am able to be ambassador, building connections between communities through everyday interactions, volunteering, and speaking about my study abroad experience. Therefore, as a study abroad participant, perhaps the most simple, but one of the most important ways, to promote intercultural learning is to get involved. As a member of my host community, I was able to open my ears and mind to every opportunity available to me to participate in my community: through everyday traditions and once a year celebrations, school activities, volunteer opportunities, and religious and extracurricular activities. I said yes to all of the new opportunities that presented themselves to me, whether it was trying a new, unidentifiable food or running a 5K. I let my passion ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Elements Of Visual Design In Star Wars May Visual Design be with you The visual design in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope transformed the film industry, setting new standards for years to come. Through animation, detailed models, sets and computer controlled motion photography, George Lucas created a futuristic sci fi that was realistic and gripping. In Star Wars: A New Hope, one scene stands out from all others: the Binary Sunset scene. One of the most iconic moments from all of Star Wars, the scene uses elements of visual design that display the forces of good and evil, destiny, and most importantly, the recurring theme of hope. In the scene, Luke Skywalker is presented wearing a flowy white tunic, khaki pants, and wrapped, soft soled boots. Ostensibly these are the clothes of a farm boy living on the planet Tatooine which were inspired by the rice farming boys in Japanese paddy fields, in conjunction with the desert climate of Lucas s fictional planet. The clothing design contributes to the ambiance of the dry atmosphere of Tatooine: the faded light color scheme complements the heat and sandy expanses. Furthermore, Luke s hairstyle also presents his character as young and boyish diving further into the delineation of his character. In later films, his costume thickens and darkens representing his maturation and character development. His white tunic not only resembles his boyish innocence but also the force and the power of good, a key theme Lucas borrowed from the serial westerns of the 1940s and ... • 5. Monogamy Vs Polygamy Relationships are complicated, especially romantic ones; they involve a wide range of emotions and expectations that need to be met or the relationship will fail. When it comes to polygamy there are even more variables added to the equation since there are additional partners involved in the relationship. Unlike the common belief that polygamyis where a man has multiple wives, it is actually much more in depth where both sexes can have other romantic partners. As long as one lets their partner know who they are seeing the relationship is considered healthy, although there is still the obvious possibility of jealousy occurring. Honesty is everything in polygamy, even though individuals are allowed to be romantically involved with others,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the United States it is illegal to be in an any of the three forms of polygamy if one is married. In the early days Mormons were even persecuted if they were found practicing polygamy. If individuals want to be polyamorous they must do so without being lawfully wedded to their partners. In a society that is constantly progressing towards giving people their rights, polygamist still struggle in being viewed as a legitimate way of life. With the gay rights movement having so much momentum and finally becoming legal in the United States, polygamist thought the outcome could soon be the same for them. The one major argument against polygamy is that it is a choice unlike the predetermination of one s sexual orientation. Critics suggest that individuals should just be single instead of engaging in a relationship where they are not faithful to one person. Although it is not certain where the future of polygamy is headed, the controversial lifestyle is growing in popularity as more people explore their sexual and emotional identities. There is no doubt that as time goes on new generations develop different attitudes than their parents which in turn shapes the modern world we live in. As far as marriages go, people are no longer in such rush to get married, have children, and start the typical family associated with adulthood. This in part could be because of high divorce rates that many individuals have experienced either with their parents or someone they know. Cathy Meyer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Eyewitness Testimony And The American Psychological... For centuries, even before the rise of modern law and judicial practices, eyewitness testimony has been a crucial part in reaching verdicts in court. The opinions and observations of bystanders or active participants in a crime scene are often considered to be very valuable in determining the guilt or innocence of accused individuals. However, there has been a large amount of scrutiny in the law world concerning both misappropriated and untrue testimonies administered in courts of law. Although the testimonyof individuals can simply be misinterpreted or forgotten due to a variety of reasons, eyewitnesses also provide information that can purposefully incriminate or exonerate a defendant. Ultimately, despite its benefit in putting deserving persons behind bars, the use of eyewitness testimony can absolutely be a dangerous monster for the innocently accused in different scenarios. Despite thorough research supporting the dangers of eyewitness testimony, and the constant press by the American Psychological Association (APA) and different law, psychology, and forensics experts, there are no national guidelines conducting how law enforcement agencies gather eyewitness identifications. In an APA brief, suggested by researchers and the Innocence Project, sent to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, it discussed how juries often don t understand the factors that can influence a witnessability to accurately identify a suspect. Such factors include how much stress a witness is under, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Colonization Of Korea Under Japanese Rule Introduction The colonization of Korea under Japanese rule from 1910 to 1945 was one of controversial histories as it shaped Korean society in both positive and negative ways. This paper examines Korea s colonial relationship with Japan. In this paper, I argue the Japanese influence of modernity was a positive gain to Korean society by referring to some examples. First of all, this paper shows a brief history of the colonization from 1910 to 1945 to explain what was going on during that period. Secondly, this paper discusses economic development in Koreasociety as a positive effect because Japanese economic policy had an important role in the economy of the colony. Thirdly, this paper analyzes three types of authority through new political system which were created by Japanese in Korea. At the same time, this paper shows local autonomy which was developed due to those types of authority as a positive effect. Fourthly, this paper describes the rise of nationalism during that period as their nationalist movements affected their independence in a positive way. In conclusion, this paper summarizes main ideas of these examples and main argument. A brief history of the colonization From 1910 to 1945, Korea was under Japanese rule as a colonial country (Mackerras, Murphey Stapleton 2012). Japan exploited Korea in various ways during while the country was occupied as a colony. For example, living standards were really low since Japan gained a lot of raw materials and food ... • 9. The Lesson Plan On The Book Stone Soup Essay The lesson plan that we chose to do our Drama Group Lesson was based on the book Stone Soup. I suggested this book to the group as a good drama lesson, because I did my individual lesson plan on the story Nail Soup and I thought that Stone Soup would be a great drama lesson for this class. Another member in our group also brought up the ideaof using Stone Soupas well, which caused us all to agree on using this book for our lesson plan. Our meeting times were postponed due to one of our members missing school for a week for a family emergency. While this one member was gone, I conversed with the other group member and we thoughtit was best if we waited until the other group member returned so she would feel included and would be able to contribute to the making of the lesson plan. Once she returned we met at the Main Library. We met a total of two times; we were able to create a full lesson plan on a Friday, which took us a total of about three hours to complete. We than met the following Sunday to discuss any concerns and tweaks we would like to make to the lesson plan. We only needed to meet for a half an hour, because we found minimal errors and thought we seemed prepared and ready to present. We first started ready the book and found areas in the book that could be used as a drama/play scene. We then collaborated and discussed different ways that we could use the scene. For our story we found that there were three big scenes that could be used and we broke those ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Success Of A Business Finance For A Large Fortune 500... Coming into college, I was quite certain I would go into corporate finance for a large Fortune 500 company, and try to slowly work my way to the top of the company. I had aspirations of being a CEO. As freshmen year ran its course, I developed an interest in banking. From what I read online, the profession seemed to encompass everything I was looking for in a career. These interests included a challenging, yet rewarding career, a heavy analytical/numbers focus, communication driven, and extensive exit opportunities. A challenging, and rewarding career has always been a requirement when planning my future. When choosing a career, children are often told to do what they love. Finally, working for two years as an analyst has some of the best exit opportunities available in business. The door is open for me to transition to a private equity firm, a hedge fund, or stay with the bank. I plan on landing my first professional experience through the Investment Banking Workshop. The workshop boasts an impressive 100% job placement. The difficult part is actually getting accepted into the workshop. The application opens on January 1st, 2016. I will need to network with current members of the club, and begin to prepare for the interview process. I have been working towards the goal of entering the workshop since early freshman year. I believe I am on the right track, and will put in all the work necessary to ensure the highest chance at success. After gaining acceptance, I will network and prepare for my 1st semester junior year interviews to gain an internship. Ideally, I would like to work for a bulge bracket bank. Bulge bracket banks offer the best deal flow, along with superior exit opportunities. While I have these preconceived opinions, I think my decision will be made based on gut feeling while networking with the banks. • 11. The Tragedy Of Siddhartha s Life Siddhartha s protected environment could no longer satisfy him when he discovered the unfortunate truths of every person s life. Occasionally, the prince would leave the palace to take trips into the city. His father, wanting to shelter him, would orchestrate these trips to avoid the unpleasantries of life. The story goes that four sights led Siddartha to leave his established life. He experienced these sights on outings he was taken on by his charioteer named Chandaka. Even though care was taken to hide these things the prince saw old age, disease, and death that drastically changed his view of the world. On a fourth outing, he saw a holy man and a practicing ascetic. This is when he first perceived these realities of human life. He suddenly became aware of the causes of suffering in the world. This encounter showed him, what he thought was the way to overcome life s sufferings, the ascetic path. At the age of twenty nine he left his wife, his son, and his palace behind to lead a life of extreme asceticism that he believed could lead him to the answer of overcoming human suffering. For six years Siddhartha Gautama followed asceticism and meditation. He practiced the yoga discipline under two masters, Arada Kalama, and Udraka Ramaputra. Then there are standards of achievement which make it inconceivable that any single method could achieve optimum success in all learning environments. Alan Maley (1983) said: Teachers need to offer a variety of activities, techniques, and tasks in teaching to give equal opportunities to students with different styles of learning so all students progress. Girard, (1972) said: Rather than fish in one linguistic stream, we should cast our pedagogical net in all waters that might bring us in a profitable catch (Dillon, J. M., and A. A. Long, 2004). It is a whole integrated approach, for example, a listening activity with coordinated speaking or singing and supplementary features like pronunciation and form of the language. In this regard Canale and Swain rightly said about the four dimensions of communicative competence, grammar competence, sociolinguistic competence, discourse competence, and strategic competence (Richard, 1986, p.71). It is hard to sum up Eclectic theory in a few sentences. It is not a scientific drill or methodology nor it a teaching tool or a learning method for the learners. The causes for change in language teaching, and in new language teaching methods, lie, in this view, in the main with social, political or philosophical factors (Pennycook, A.1989). Critical pedagogy is, wary of progressivism concepts characteristic in second language teaching. With the inception of applied linguistics, along with the concept of a scientific kind of language teaching philosophies changed. This was seen prominently in the audio lingual methodology. I first want to start off by noting that Nathanial Hawthorne is one of the most known novelists of the romanticism movement in American Literature. One example of romanticism is the idea of the individual presenting as more important than society. Doctor Rappaccini conducted a deadly experiment with his daughter, Beatrice. He tells Beatrice that he did everything to make her into a super human being, but eventually it becomes rather apparent that she was just a part of an extravagant experiment rather than a daughter he loved. Another aspect of romanticism that occurred in this story is the fact of nature being used to reveal truth. The plants in the garden present ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A blend of technology wedded together with demonic possession? What if the delusion was so great that The Antichrist and the False Prophet convinced the world by their signs and wonders that humanity could become gods, and live forever simply by taking the Mark of the Beast? Are there other clues that may suggest that The Antichrist will try to pull off the greatest deception of all time? Many people did not know how to cope with the change of perspective after the war; some people tried different forms of treatment, while others chose to ignore the war and move forward. The development of the German Shepherd Dog, along with a number of existing breeds, helped pioneer the modern use of dogs for service and community work that we can see today. For a breed of dog that has only been officially recognised for just over 100 years, it has made an outstanding contribution to mankind worldwide. During the 1920 s, canine movie stars such as Rin Tin Tin and Strongheart made the breed extremely popular outside of Germany. Great harm was caused as unscrupulous breeders, keen to cash in on this newfound popularity, introduced poor breeding practices which, along with some irresponsible owners, worked against the founding principles of the breed. Anti German sentiment following the First World War, caused the British to re name the breed as the Alsatian Wolf Dog. Although all dogs are thought to have evolved from wolves, the name Alsatian Wolf Dog led some people to believe the German shepherd had been directly bred from wolves. The truth is that the German shepherd carries no more wolves blood than any other breed. The year 1925 saw the breed s official Australian history begin with the importation of Crufts winner Ito of Fallowdale into Australia. Also on the same boat was Pinkerton Rhoda. The United States has considered Cuba as its enemy ever since July 1960 when Fidel Castro s new revolutionary government changed everything. Therefore, the U.S. banned trade with and travels to Cuba and considered all countries who do engage in Cuban trade and travel to be an enemy to the U.S. (Arcelaschi 1). When the United States learned of Cuba s communist affiliations they did not take time to analyze the situation and quickly cut off all relations and access to the nation, which sent a message but did nothing to destroy communism. Even after a course of several decades with the harsh isolationist policy in place, Castro s communist regime is still firmly in power. The U.S. was too quick in its decision and attempt to take out the communist government and took drastic measures by imposing a full embargo to try to solve a problem that could have been solved in a much more effective and ethical way. The relatively short distance between Cuba and the U.S. naturally led to a long and involved history of relations between the two nations, but relations between the two nations over the past fifty years have been unhealthy and harmful to both nations. The embargo imposed by the U.S. has only been damaging and unhelpful to the situation. As a result of the new government s nationalization policy, American investors suffered major losses and the U.S. retaliated in July 1960 by canceling planned purchases of Cuban sugar (Crouch 70). In doing so, writers arguments are essentially more effective in representing the chosen subject matter. In Your Trusted Friends , investigative journalist Eric Schlosser writes that Walt Disneyand Ray Kroc perfected the art of selling to children, however, this writing is laced with numerous, hidden, implications. Schlosser s work subconsciously suggests that companies like Disney and McDonald s prey on children in order to gain profit. This, therefore, makes his argument weak overall, since instead of blatantly expressing his opinion, he leaves his audienceto guess about the overall purpose of the piece. Throughout the writing, Schlosser provides historical and statistical information about both the businessmen, Disney and Kroc, and their individual companies. In the third paragraph, he writes about the shared experiences between the men, from growing up in the same hometown to serving in in the same World War I ambulance corps (Schlosser 184). He then lists examples of how the men s failures in their humble beginnings eventually led to success. • 22. Analysis Of Hughes s Poem Light Of This However, the ambiguity of Hughes s poetry may be derived not so much from a desire to obscure truthful representation, but from the inherently traumatic impact of this act of writing. In light of this, Hughes s fragmentary syntax and the episodic construction of the Birthday Letters sequence, may well be understood as a literal manifestation of his attempt to pull together a scattered, dispersed, or lost series of recollections (Freeman, 30); the trauma of which constantly resists any easy assimilation into language. Usually within the discourse of psychoanalysis, it is simply the process of describing a traumatic experience, representing it within language, which forces it to be externalized, contained and thus assuaged. While Hughes certainly seeks to attain this same catharsis, through a kind of scriptotherapy (Henke, xxii) his poetic style simultaneously invokes the raw and uncooled processes of its own production. As John Carey writes in a review for the Sunday Times, The language is like lava, its molten turmoils hardening into jagged shapes, still hot from the earth s core. ( Fatal Attraction ). In order to understand Hughes s magmatic poetrymore effectively, it is useful to consider Julia Kristeva s conception of the signifying process (84) as proposed in Revolution in Poetic Language (1979). As Freud argues that all humans have a dark side to them, we tend to hide this side of us as we get older. In the Tempest, Caliban could represent this uncontrolled side of human nature. Caliban is seen to be the superego which is can be seen to be evident when he does not wish to receive Prospero s physical punishments. Despite his punishments, his desires fail to remain within him. Caliban is also missing his mother in this play which leads him to feel inadequacy. Prospero is one of the only obstacles between him and Miranda. Prospero s desire for power and control over the characters in the play, shows Freud s theory coming into play, if one craves power, it is possibly because one has lacked in its childhood. • 28. The Innocence of Lamb in Songs of Innocence by William Blake Songs of Innocence by William Blake collocates the naГЇve lives of children and loss of innocence of adults, with moral Christian values and how religion has the capacity to promote cruelty and prejudice. Blake was born in 1757, up to and after the French Revolution he wrote many works criticizing enlightened rationalism and instead focused on intellectual ideas that avoided institutionalization and propelled ethical and moral order. Blake s collection of poem exposes and explores the values and limitations of secular and religious institutions. The Lambfocuses on children s naivetГ©s and innocence, but also curiosity in regards to faith, and ideas of nature and God. Though naivetГ© and meekness are present throughout The Lamb , Blake focuses on an underlying Christian theme of combining the pastoral with the spiritual. For example, the speaker, a boy, talks to a lamb, his beastly counterpart. The boy, speaking to the lamb asks. Little lamb, who made thee? (Blake 1). The opening query asked by the boy represents rhetoric of both the natural and spiritual world. Bryan Aubrey, in his critical essay of the lamb states, everything in creation is embraced by the tenderness of the divine...[there] is no separation between human self, the natural world, and the divine kingdom (Aubrey 1). Beckett s plays typically take place in one room signifying a type of prison to its inhabitants. The characters endlessly repeat patterns of behavior such as repetitive questions, looking out windows, and telling the same stories. These repetitions are symbolic of the inane repetitions that human beings make every day wake up, go to work, come home, go to sleep. The absolute meaninglessness of this repetition is part of the human condition. The wait for death is unavoidable. The human being is born, lives, and then dies. Beckett participated in The Theater of the Absurd , which was a French movement in the fifties and wrote plays with this theme of nothingness . First evidence The people kept faith with [Israel] throughout their Dispersion (Diaspora) and never ceased to hope and pray for their return to it, as said in Document B. This shows that Israelis have always wanted to return and have kept the dream alive and have historical ties to Israel. Second evidence Also, quoted from Document B is the evidence, The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz Israel. Eretz Israel, by the way, is just Israel by a different name. Moving on, this proves that Israel should have been created as a Jewish state in 1948 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I will decide whether run the project or not. Six issues will be discussed as follows 1) importance of energy cost; 2) project s cash flows; 3) cost of capital; 4) choose an engine 5) evaluation 6) accept or reject. We should accept the project because of the positive NPV and high IRR. We will gain $532 million in wealth which is a big money on the scale like this. The company has a bond rating of AA that makes the risk relatively low. So we should definitely say yes. Issues Importance of Energy Cost Road King Trucks, Inc. is a truck manufacturing company. If we don t run the project, we can sell it and earn $6 million right now. Cost of Capital (see table 2) I used WACC as the discount factor, we expect the rate of return to be higher than it, the same at least. The WACC reflects the average risk and overall capital structureof the entire firm [2]. It s the required return and it presents how much the company pays for the capital it finances. In this case, the cost of equity is 10.33%, the cost of debt is 6.50%. I calculated WACC using those numbers and got a result of 8.49%. Choose an Engine (see table 3) There are two options for engines will be installed on buses. And so are the warranties. The decision should be made according to engines quality, effectiveness, etc. But to investors, cost is the main factor. In this case, Detroit engine has an installation cost of $20,000 and a warranty of $1,000 each year for 5 years; the cost of installation of Marcus engine is $2,000 less but the warranty is $1,500 per year. To figure out the cost I calculated the NPVs of each year for 20 years. The NPVs of the warranties for each bus are same at the year it been produced. For example, the warranty of a Detroit engine has a NPV of $4,276 in the year it been produced. (This method is coming from Mr. Hasse. I used to combine the warranty for each year and use those numbers in calculation.) The NPV of installation cost and warranty of Detroit engine is $252,154, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The film Soul of the Game does not go into all of the details regarding his career on the Brooklyn Dodgers, but rather it depicts his life and choices leading up to his career in the Major Leagues. This film portrays important themes such as segregation, perseverance, and doubt, and it applies to history in the beginning of the story of Jackie Robinsonand how America has gotten to where it is now. Although the court case of Plessy v. Ferguson declared segregation to be legal as long as things were equal in 1896, baseball had already done this about ten years prior. There was a creation of the Negro League in the 1920s through the 1940s so that African Americans could have the same opportunities and white players even though they were not allowed on any of the major league teams. Jackie Robinson was a rookie player on the Kansas City Monarchs, a Negro League team, and being along side Satchel Paige, no one even noticed who he was. According to the reading in Jackie Robinson and Race in America by Thomas Zeiler, Satchel Paige was the first negro player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and he possibly believed to be one of the best pitchers of all time. Due date: 06th August, 2012. In human life there are two things that may identify the human beings. Some of these things are whether the human beings do evil or good. In this case some people may find it easier to do evil than good. Before looking at the reason s why people find it easy to do evil than good it is important to define first these two terms. The term good may be defined ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In so doing, people may opt for doing evil than good. In this reason, scholars indicate that, most of the times evil things outweighs the good just because of the humanity lazy nature. Therefore people may find it easier to do evil other than good because they know that through evil they will fulfill their aims in a simple way unlike good which needs much effort to be fulfilled. Another thing that makes people to easily choose doing evil and leave good is desire. Sometimes people may go for evil than good in order to fulfill their desires. This term desire is used to explain what one wishes to be or to do. Human beings find it easier to do evil than good in order to satisfy their wishes. Every man or woman desires to live in his or her own particular way of living and does everything in order to achieve his or her wishes. For example, two kinds of people in the society, that is to say, the prominent figures in the society as well as the ordinary or the poor people may choose the evil ways to fulfill their desires. People may use corruption to achieve whatever they plan to do. In this case for example, world activities provide setting in which one is required to exhibit moral goodness but the actual content of these activities have no intrinsic value. The Modern Plague Of Overpopulation Unlike plagues of the dark ages or contemporary diseases we do not understand, the modern plague of overpopulation is soluble by means we have discovered and with resources we possess. What is lacking is not sufficient knowledge of the solution but universal consciousness of the gravity of the problem and education of the billions who are its victim. This was said by Martin Luther King, Jr on May 5, 1966. If this was said almost 49 years ago by one of the greatest leaders of American history, why hasn t the issue of overpopulationbeen solved yet? Simply because we lack the universal consciousness of the serious issues overpopulation bring and the education required on how to prevent it. The world just can t support every single human being if we continue to ignore the issue. So what would happen globally if the demand for natural resources is greater than the supply? There will be conflicts and wars, environmental degradation and climate change. In addition to having a high demand for natural resources and a low supply, it will also cause a rise in unemployment and raise the cost of living. There will be many wars and conflicts to come due to fact that there just won t be enough resources for everybody. It is also important due to the close relationships that parents have with their children. The perspectives differ in a great way depending on the parent and adolescent. Undoubtedly, there is not a parent that would wish a SUD or conduct issues on their child, however, adolescents can see this as a punishment to their parent. In the particular situation that I experienced my friend and her mother had unequivocal opposing perspectives on the matter, the adolescent saw substance abuse as a minor action, with minor consequences, to gain that temporary euphoric state of mind, and to cope with difficult circumstances; while the mother saw this substance abuse as a major action, with major, life threatening consequences. While the mother believed all of this, there was almost a lack of following through with the situation, she didn t want to believe that her daughter could be doing all of these things, so she chose not to see it. I believe that the perspectives of each group differ due to the considerable age gap and different experiences, while one group (the adolescent) is enduring hardships during school time, the other group (the parent) could have had different experiences in school, or has been graduated so long that the hardships of school are forgotten. Ice Cube (O Shea Jackson) of the rap group NWA (Niggaz with Attitude) wrote the song Gangsta Gangsta, and it shocked America with its violent, sexist, and obscene lyrics. Gangsta Gangsta ushered in a new genre of hip hop music called gangsta rap, which became identified with Compton, a predominately black and Latino working class and working poor neighborhood in Los Angeles . Many people did not agree with the sexist and indecent lyrics in gangsta rap even though the lyrics were telling the story of many people who lived in this reality. Gangsta rap acted as an outlet so such people could express themselves angrily and not in fear that they were going to be silenced for telling the truth. They often used gangsta rap to tell the stories of their lives, which sometimes included strong violence, hypersexuality, and drug abuse. This music style was new and different. Gangsta rap was authentic and helped tell a story with its deep lyrics. During the 1990s, Republican and Democratic politicians and some black leaders blamed, not all hip hop music, but gangsta rap for all of the black communities social problems: drug use, teenage pregnancy, unemployment, gang violence, and high school dropouts. Even though these problems existed in the black community prior to gangsta rap, this music and culture has provided a convenient target to avoid addressing the causes of the real problems of black America: racism, sexism, and poverty . ... The Myth Of The Ant Queen While technology is commonly thought of as inventions and gadgets, anything that humans have developed for specific purposes or to accomplish certain goals, such as methods or models, must also be correctly categorized as such. In Cathy Davidson s essay Project Classroom Makeover, she discusses a few unconventional forms of technology such as the educational classroom paradigm and standardization. Similarly, in Steve Johnson s essay The Myth of the Ant Queen, he presents procedural technology, such as self organizing systems, and conceptual technology, collaborative intelligence. He then utilizes another conceptual form of technology, the complexity theory, to interpret these systems seemingly uncoordinated patterns. Sherry Turkle branches off of Davidson and Johnson s ideas by discussing the consequences of questioning what makes a robot alive in her essay Alone Together. This narrative highlights the technology s effect on humans and the reality of robots either improving or diminishing an individual s quality of life. Besides the slight apprehension of its future usage, humans are mesmerized by the promising potential technology presents. • 48. Pastor Burnout Introduction Pastors, also commonly referred to as ministers, or clergy, entering the church ministry profession largely attribute their vocational choice to a sense of calling (Beebe, 2007; Dodd, 2012; Lee, 2010; Meek, McKinn, Brower, Burnett, 2003; Oleson, 2011). Calling within a pastoral context can be defined as an obligation to live out a mission, set by God, to work for a purpose other than one s own (Dodd, 2012). Evidently, regardless of the preceding foundational objective to their professional choice, studies show a high attrition rate amongst pastors, due to stress and burnout (Beebe, 2007; Dodds, 2012; Krejcir, 2007). Stress is an event or a series of events that lead to strain, which can result in physical and psychological health problems (Corey, et al., 2015, p. 58). Burnout is a state of physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual depletion characterized by feelings of helplessness and hopelessness (Corey, et al., 2015, p. 60). A study by Francis A. Significant life events that occur at critical stages of development can also influence and shape each generation. Homelanders, Digital Natives, iGeneration, Plurals, and Generation Z are all names associated with the newest generation. Although there is some debate about when the millennial generation ended and this new generation began, most researchers agree with a mid to late 1990 s start. For the purposes of this study, this generation will be referred to as Generation Z (Gen Z), born between 1995 and 2012 (Stillman Stillman, 2017).
