I chose the book, The Natural, because my passion is sports. I also heard that The
Natural was a blockbuster in the cinemas so I decided this had to be my choice.

with. Things quickly go wrong as she shoots him when he visits her hotel room in
Chicago. This not only seriously injures him, but also keeps him from playing
professional baseball for 15 years, putting him past his athletic prime. After Roy
enters professional baseball in his thirties, he has a few short years in the league
and eventually cracks up and beats up his coach and manager. He would end up
jobless and never be able to play baseball again. Nothing goes right for Roy and the

This project was entitled as Investigation of Performance and Behavior of Cylinder
Liner made of hypereutectic aluminium Silicon alloy with Lining of Copper with
varying thickness. The Central idea behind this project was to develop the substitute
of the current cylinder liner material being used in automobiles and evaluate its
performance and compare its results with the performance of current cylinder liner
material. The culmination of this project was I submitted my project report to the
supervisor of this project and also the university and successfully demonstrated it in
front of university as well as college delegates. Along with that I successfully
presented a review on Making of cylinder liners at the National conference on

Following the experiences of Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte, expresses many elements
of gothic literature throughout her novel Jane Eyre. In her perfect understanding of
gothic literature, she expresses the three types of evil commonly found in gothic
literature, including the evil of the supernatural, the evil within or the instinctual evil
motives of humans, and lastly, the evil because of societal influence. Jane Eyre
experiences all of these three evils with her aunt and three cousins with her residency
and return to Gateshead: Jane encounters the supernatural and the evil of societal
influence as a child and she fully encounters the evil within upon her return.
As a child at Gateshead, one discovers the first form of evil in the novel with the
negative interactions between Jane and her relatives, which sparks from both,
physical inferiority, (Bronte 11) to her cousins, and as Bronte eventually states,
her lack of money. Doing rather short work, the reader discovers Jane does not
belong in Gateshead with her rich Aunt, Mrs. Reed, and her cousins, John,
Georgina, and Eliza. Jane s three cousins cluster, around their mamma, (Bronte 11)
in the opening of the novel, but Jane sits in solitary. She leaves to ask her aunt,
What does Bessie say I have done? (Bronte 11); her aunt responds she likes
children, who do not take up their elders, and Bronte implies, she likes good

The Renaissance was a pivotal time coming out of Medieval Europe that was full of
many changes and advancements. Budding out of Italy, this change of society spread
throughout Europe and caused a drastic change of culture. One huge difference
between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance was the difference of lifestyle and self
value. A huge reason for this change was the rise of humanism. Humanism is a
doctrine, attitude, or way of life centered on human interests or values (Merriam

The origin of this source is also a book, Warriors of Christendom, published in the
UK by John Matthews and Bob Stewart in 1988. The purpose of this book is
informational only and is about the leaders of that time. The value of this book is
that it provides information on the major leader King Richard as well as his role in
the Third Crusade. This book has all its sections accompanied by a bibliography but
does not use the format of in text citations. It does have a balanced view on the topic
and talks about the strengths and weaknesses of King Richard. The limitation of this
book would be that it is a little bit dated but not long enough for it to affect the
information.

The third crusade started in 1189 and its main goal was to recapture the Holy land.
Its successes, both Christian and Muslim, are still reviewed to this day. The crusade
consisted of three major monarchs: Emperor Barbarossa of the Holy Roman empire,
King Richard of England, and King Philip of France. They all had one common goal
and it was to set out and recapture the Holy land from Saladin. This crusade began in
1189 and would last for three years. With the Muslims, under the leadership of
Saladin, recently taking control of Jerusalem from the Christians in 1187, they now

Becoming the Dragon by Alex Sapegin, the first installment in a series called The
Dragon Inside, follows the story of a teenager named Andy who goes through a
series of drastic life changes. Before the events of the novel, Andy is struck by
lightning on a class field trip. He survives the strike but is sentenced to never cross
paths with computers because of the electrical charges he gives off causing
computers to freeze and shut down. Even though Andy loves computer games, this
forces him to find alternatives for entertainment, such as learning to cook and even
taking up archery from a neighbor. He seemed to be doing well in his life until his
sister gives him the task of taking documents to their father s office.
Andy accidentally stumbles into the middle of a science experiment, and the results
are out of this world . He is taken through a portal to the planet Ilanta, full of both
magical creatures and other humans, and little did he know that his skills in archery

I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. With an incredible gift of
storytelling, Sapegin was truly able to take the reader from Earth to Ilanta, where
one could get swept away by elves, magicians, dragons, and much more. I found
myself getting caught up in both the story and Andy s transformation from a simple
adolescent to a dragon. I can best describe him as being a student constantly

Luis Valdez and created by the Farm Workers Theater of Atzlan. They have built
their theater society with respect to the old show clubs that were common in the

performers would assume parts that would ridicule certain gatherings or people that

musicals, carefully designed every little detail. For him, the mise en scene was
paramount, so much so that character development would be expressed through the
scenery. For example, Gene Kelly literally brings color wherever he goes in

Hero s Journey: Finding Nemo What is the typical idea of a hero? Sure, there may
be Marvel Heroes, but do they fit the archetype of a The Hero s Journey? In the
movie Finding Nemo directed by Andrew Stanton, a small fearful clownfish goes
on a life changing adventure after his son had been taken by a scuba diver. Marlin
s journey has its ups and downs but it fits the pattern of the hero s journey
archetype almost perfectly. Joseph Campbell said, A hero ventures forth from the
