Advertising is all glitter and no substance.
Advertising is all attraction and a little truth. Clearly known, every coin has
two side, so does the advertisement. Some glitter with substance while other
just glitter ruthlessly without any concrete essence. Advertisement, a mass
media content intended to persuade Customers to take action on products
services and ideas often fall into contradiction because of over showcasing
the product qualities than its actual worth. Advertisement, therefore, has
been the concise way to deceive customers with the quality-less products. It
is all attraction with just ounce of truth concealed within.
Celebrities are promoting products which most of the time they don’t use,
so it’s a transparently viewable deception to the customer or viewers.
With that, customers are simply being misled and forced to buy fradulent
products that are prevalent in the market. It is obvious that star do have
large number of followers. In order to grab them as a customer, firms often
call up stars to endorse their product. Stars, in return, without having much
knowledge about the particular product agrees the contract at a big
amount, regardless of the quality. Neither they were using before, nor they
will use that specific product after they’ve endorsed it. It is simply a way to
eye-wash the viewer and customer. Till date known I haven’t seen or heard
in any news about the use of the particular item by the stars which they
endorse. Can you just imagine salman khan, a prominent actor of bollyhood
making his way to the shop so as to purchase Shakti wheel which he
endorse? Perhaps not. Furthermore, once the Australian football hero
appeared on the TV and yelled at the audience to buy products. Jacko’s
angry campaign worked well in Australia, so energizer batteries invited him
north to sell the product in united states. But he couldn’t convince
customers of united states to buy the batteries. The only reason behind
this is the quality of battery wasn’t up to the anticipated level and was
just exaggerated by jacko in the advertisement. It did well at Australia only
because of his prominency, that is, all glitter. In this way, endorsement of
products by various celebrities has led to increase in the consumption of
products citing clearly the attraction and no substance aspect of an
advertising.

  • 1. Advertising is all glitter and no substance. Advertising is all attraction and a little truth. Clearly known, every coin has two side, so does the advertisement. Some glitter with substance while other just glitter ruthlessly without any concrete essence. Advertisement, a mass media content intended to persuade Customers to take action on products services and ideas often fall into contradiction because of over showcasing the product qualities than its actual worth. Advertisement, therefore, has been the concise way to deceive customers with the quality-less products. It is all attraction with just ounce of truth concealed within. Celebrities are promoting products which most of the time they don’t use, so it’s a transparently viewable deception to the customer or viewers. With that, customers are simply being misled and forced to buy fradulent products that are prevalent in the market. It is obvious that star do have large number of followers. In order to grab them as a customer, firms often call up stars to endorse their product. Stars, in return, without having much knowledge about the particular product agrees the contract at a big amount, regardless of the quality. Neither they were using before, nor they will use that specific product after they’ve endorsed it. It is simply a way to eye-wash the viewer and customer. Till date known I haven’t seen or heard in any news about the use of the particular item by the stars which they endorse. Can you just imagine salman khan, a prominent actor of bollyhood making his way to the shop so as to purchase Shakti wheel which he endorse? Perhaps not. Furthermore, once the Australian football hero appeared on the TV and yelled at the audience to buy products. Jacko’s angry campaign worked well in Australia, so energizer batteries invited him north to sell the product in united states. But he couldn’t convince customers of united states to buy the batteries. The only reason behind this is the quality of battery wasn’t up to the anticipated level and was just exaggerated by jacko in the advertisement. It did well at Australia only
