This document provides instructions and tips for two practice negotiation scenarios as part of a negotiation skills course. In the first scenario, students take the role of a buyer negotiating to purchase a rug from a seller. In the second scenario, students negotiate as a buyer to purchase a car for under $25,000, as that is what their brother paid for the same car elsewhere. The document provides tips for negotiation, including always assuming prices are negotiable, starting with a low offer, and using a "final offer" approach to end negotiations. A sample negotiation dialogue is also included.
