In, To My Dear and Loving Husband, by Anne Bradstreet, we see that this poem is about a woman
that loves her husband. Love conquers all right? The overall tone of this work comes off as love.
Bradstreet shares many ways of her love with us and she wants us to know that her love is going to be
as strong when they are no more living on this earth. Anne Bradstreet expresses to the audience her
love for her husband in different tones. Throughout the poem, we see that Bradstreet is comparing her
love to water, and gold; but in the end is that enough? The tone of each excerpt affects the whole

We see all of these throughout the poem. The passion is shown when she is comparing their love to
gold. I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold, or all the riches that the East doth hold (226).
She thinks her love for her husband is worth more then all of the rivers, creeks, lakes, and gold in the
whole world. Their love could not fill oceans. Also in, If ever two were one, then surely we (226). She
needs his love and she can not live without it. The writer thinks they could be one. It is interesting that
a Puritan would write such a love poem. Puritans are supposing to have a relationship with God. I am
surprised that she is writing something with so much emotion in it. On line nine she states, Thy love is
such I can no way repay (226). She means that the love that her husband gives her is passionate and
emotional, that there is no way that she could ever repay him. She wants to share how great her and
her husbands chemistry is and that is endearing, because it is inspiring love. Another tone would be
from Nor ought but love from thee, give recompense, (226) she is adoring of her husband. The last
two lines of this poem expresses her endearing love. Then while we live, in love let s so persevere,

This only led to the rest of the population becoming involved, however, as thousands of middle class

In these two instances, it is clear that Socrates is the beloved, and the two men admire his self
discipline and uprightness. If standing still is indicative of nobility then fleeing or running away is

Tacitus talks about the influence of Agrippina the younger as a sign of weakness of the principate
representing Claudius and Nero as her pawn. Her position of power as a female to this day is

Agrippina, an Imperial woman of the Julio Claudian bloodline a female Caesar lived through all five

Roman Empire from the time of Claudius to the beginning of Nero s reign. Tacitus is writing is from
the perspective of an old Roman Senator providing the accounts of Agrippina life in power from a
male point of view. His accounts of her life portray her as a vindictive, scandalous female who has
stepped above her station. (Tacitus) Suetonius another old Roman Senator accounts would agree with
Tacitus in regards to Agrippina s outrageous behavior. However, it can be argued that she was an
emperor while she is not given credit her influence played a huge part in affecting the direction of the
Empire and Roman society especially when it comes to women in a position of power.
Tacitus and Suetonius provide fragments of the history of the Roman Empire through the Julio
Claudian reign. Agrippina the younger bloodline is strong as a descendant of Augustus and Agrippa;
she s connected to all five emperors.

When you go to the grocery store and pick up a yogurt, some containers stated live, active cultures .
What does live, active cultures mean? Does it mean that there is living bacteria in the yogurt? Isn t
that harmful? Some bacteria can make you sick, but are important because they help your body fight
off the bad bacteria.
Problem Statement: But how do we really now that there are bacteria or microorganisms in our
yogurt? How many colonies of bacteria growth is in yogurts? Does it vary from different flavors?
Literature Review
Over the years, there have been several studies published on the health effect of yogurt and the
bacteria that companies use to produce yogurt. There have been studies done on animals and humans
